Rubin: Forget Everything You Thought You Knew About Michele Bachmann (R-Mars)
Forget everything you thought you knew about Michele Bachmann.
Forget her claim that census data could be used to put people in concentration camps.
Forget her crazy claim that Planned Parenthood is setting up “sex clinics” in schools, with free abortions for 13-year old girls.
Forget her fanatical fundamentalism, and her bizarre claim that she receives prophetic visions and divine instructions directly from God.
Forget her idea that the best way to respond to a cyber attack would be to drop a nuclear bomb on … somebody.
Forget her hateful race-baiting claim that Obama is turning the US into “a nation of slaves.”
Forget her numerous revisionist claims about US history; for example, that Thomas Jefferson wanted to keep abortion illegal, or that the founding fathers “worked tirelessly to eliminate slavery.”
Forget her anti-science position that public schools should teach creationism.
Forget her and her husband’s twisted and dangerous “pray away the gay” clinics.
Forget her insane, utterly false claim that the HPV vaccine “ravages young girls.”
Forget all that and more, because according to the Washington Post’s resident right wing apologist Jennifer Rubin, Michele Bachmann is “knowledgable, articulate, focused and sober-minded.”
Despite all the evidence to the contrary.
