As the protest began a few boos were heard from parade-goers still lining the sidewalk, though many just looked with interest, and a few cheered the demonstrators on.

The Santorum salad, or something very similar, just might be for real:

I missed this truly astonishing tidbit in my first reading of the wikipedia Pizza Ranch article,

The first restaurant was in Hull, Iowa.[2] In 2001 founder Lawrence Vander Esch was sentenced to 10 years for fondling teenage male employees in Hull after falsely persuading them to donate semen samples for a medical research project.[4] In October 2006 District Court Judge James D. Scott vacated Vander Esch’s convictions, finding that there was essentially consent on the part of the victims even though they were misled.[5]

Note that the victims were two teenage employees of the restaurant, who were fraudulently presuaded to provide the “samples.” The real purpose of this material is not specified and perhaps we don’t want to know.

I was talking about their capability, I don’t find either of them ‘sexy’. The man was seriously messed up in the head, and it got him and someone else dead. What makes it sick on a personal level is that I’m glad he’s dead, before he could hurt anyone else.

What makes it hit home is that tomorrow I go back to selling an event on military health care and PTSD is one of the main topics. Things like this give my work added impetus, since I want to do my part to keep them from happening.

Not that I know of. It’s just a thing I see every year around this time. And just like a cop who looks at bald tires or tons of bumper stickers and sees a potential target for big dollar tickets/busts, criminals see empty tv/stereo/computer/whatever boxes outside a home as a potential target for theft.

And even though electronics don’t fetch the black market premium they used to, it’s still seen as an indicator that you’ve got money to spend on expensive shit, perhaps jewelry for example.

Look, if you want to check the place out, do so. Read some stuff, figure out what people talk about here, and stuff like that. You don’t actually have to post in order to do that. And if you don’t like your login, just change it to something else. It took me literally three minutes to do it. I hate to see this crap happen. Our Vets need better care.

You have to wonder if PTSD had a hold on him.

Okay…that has to suck. Wisconsin guy ends a 30 yard pass play by fumbling by the sideline. The ball just stuck there in bounds for a turnover.

Impressed by your high level multi-tasking.

Barnes was involved in a custody dispute in Tacoma in July 2011, during which the toddler’s mother sought a temporary restraining order against him, according to the documents. In an affidavit, the woman wrote that Barnes was suicidal and possibly suffered from PTSD after deploying to Iraq in 2007-2008. She said he gets easily irritated, angry and depressed

Savory Savonarola, baked in the open air.

Topped with vanities…and spinach.

I prefer the Starovery special: roasted beets and buckwheat groats. Just be sure to hold the slices with two, not three, fingers.

Ah, then I’m just repelled by the pre-cooked crust.

Broiling is just adding insult to injury at that point.

I make pizza on pita bread, isn’t that “pre cooked crust”?

Or something.

I would say that’s not pizza. But good pita is awesome. My wife returned from her trip to Michigan, land of Shariah, with some freaking awesome pita from a Lebanese bakery there. And some hummus, from a different Lebanese deli. It was freaking delicious.

I think pita (or naan) tastes better the premade crusts I’ve had. I just hit them with a rolling pin to make them thinner.

Probably…When Jordan got back with the 3/5th Marines after putting down Fallujah there were all kinds of counseling available..And thank God.. They spent 7 months killing terrorists day and night..I’ve seen the pictures on the thumb drives..Our poor Children that fight for us..Jordan will live with those memories for the rest of his life..

Money Saved at Misdiagnosed Vets’ Expense

The Vietnam Veterans of America says the Pentagon has “systematically and wrongfully discharged” more than 22,000 veterans since 2001 “on the basis of so-called ‘personality disorder’” - rather than post-traumatic stress disorder - to deny them medical care and save the Pentagon $12.5 billion in medical and disability payments.

“The military classifies PD [personality disorder] as a condition pre-existing military service,” the four plaintiff chapters of the Vietnam Veterans of America say in their federal complaint against the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security.

“Veterans discharged from the military on the basis of a PD diagnosis are not entitled to receive service-connected disability benefits or VA health care.

“By its own admission, DoD dismissed 22,656 service members on the basis of PD between fiscal years 2001 and 2007; 3,372 of these discharged service members had served in combat or imminent danger zones in support of OCO [overseas contingency operation - Pentagonspeak for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan]. Approximately 2,800 of the service members whom DoD had dismissed on the basis of PD had deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom or Operation Enduring Freedom.

“By discharging over 22,000 service members on the basis of PD, DoD saved the military approximately $4.5 billion in medical care and $8 billion in disability compensation that these service members would have received had they been discharged on the basis of Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (‘PTSD’) or another service-connected disability.”

The Santorum salad, or something very similar, just might be for real:

I missed this truly astonishing tidbit in my first reading of the wikipedia Pizza Ranch article,

Note that the victims were two teenage employees of the restaurant, who were fraudulently presuaded to provide the “samples.” The real purpose of this material is not specified and perhaps we don’t want to know.

This is the “Christian Based” place all the candidates have flocked to in efforts to secure the evangelical vote? Gross. I’ll call it exhibit A on my list of reasons to never run for office—you have to pretend to love lousy food prepared at mediocre (I’m being kind here) local hangouts. Imagine the Pepto Bismol budget.
