Herman Cain Finds Inevitable New Home in Talk Radio

Rehabilitation
Politics • Views: 27,647

One of the ways the right wing continually recycles their failed politicians for another try is to put them on talk radio until their popularity is restored. The next right winger to get into the radio rehabilitation circuit: Herman Cain.

Long-time conservative radio talker Neal Boortz will announce his retirement today, according to a report. The announcement that contains Boortz’s retirement also says that former GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain will replace him early next year.

There's one radio intern job I would not let my daughter take.

If she were looking for such a job, that is.

If/when Romneybot loses the election in November, his future radio program will be transmitted in binary.

Just for giggles I watched Fox for an entire cycle yesterday. Huckabee's show was a conservative red meat fest, finished with an interview with Lila Rose about the strawman gender abortion epidemic facing our nation.

Since the damned federal government can't solve all of these critical existential problems facing our most exceptional nation, I would like to make this exclusive offer to all Fox News shoppers. For only three payments of $19.95 plusahundreddollarsinshippingandhandlingmumblemumble, you can get my exclusive Selective Gender Abortion Prevention Rock! Just set it in your front yard and you can prevent in excess of 99% of abortions in a ten mile radius from being conducted based on the gender of the child! Supplies are limited, so act now!

I suggest the upgrade package, which also stops Creeping Shariah and the forms of radiation that turn people gay.

Gayma rays are no laughing matter. Creeping Sharia is easier to handle; I am lead to believe that it will shrivel up and die if you pour salt on it.

Too funny.

Today one of the most obsessed Twitter stalkers from 'Diary of Daedalus,' who uses the name 'Gus_807' in order to harass Gus 802, has had his Twitter account suspended.

They just keep jumping into people's timelines and harassing them, and then they get suspended. Over and over. And they never seem to get that it's their own behavior causing it.

And by the way, I had absolutely nothing to do with his suspension.

Those sad sacks will be whining about this all day. Of course that's no change from yesterday and the day before. These guys have gotten worse in the obsessive behavior and some are stalking, watching, or lurking 24/7 it seems. This coward "807" will likely be back within a week.

I don't get it. I totally don't get it. WTF is wrong with these people? Why can't they get over it? I used to post over at another forum, and when they all became infected with the swamp fever I got the fuck out of there. Once in a while somebody will post a cached link to some weird shit over there, but I have no interest in what the fever swampers are doing, NONE.

I post at other blogs beside LGF. I enjoy Jezebel.com and the other Gawker sites.

This is pure speculation, but I can only assume that in some cases it may be a result of having been banned from LGF, rather than leaving entirely of their own accord. There also seems to be a personal feeling of betrayal (Potentially related to the first thing). Perhaps it just boils down to these being people that thrive on hate and LGF, Charles, and other members being good targets, in their minds, for said hate.

Not all of them have been banned. Some have "flounced." I still have an active account at the fever swamp even though I never go there. Like a mature person, I never had the urge to go back there and "flounce."

I'm still amazed that these people, who presumably can brush their teeth and breathe unassisted, are pushing this idiocy. Even worse if they believe it.

I honestly think some right wing think tank sat down and said "How can we combine conservatives' hatred of abortion with their fear of Sharia law?"

The other thing is that the current conservative movement isn't exactly a hotbed of feminism. I think this is the only possible pro-woman message they can get behind. That fact that it's fiction is telling as well.

Yeah, I was somewhat considering that in my latter two factors. I get the feeling that for many of them, there's a strong feeling that Charles and LGF turned their backs on them and their response is to lash out. You also get a bit of the running with the crowd effect, I'm sure.

re: #41 Simply Sarah

I don't try to figure out their motivations any more; it's a waste of time. But I'll point out that many of these people are also bigots and racists, and their leader Rick Martinez (Rodan/Daedalus) is a serial stalker and all-around horrible person, who's been at this for many years now - and not just with me. These people have a kind of mental illness, and you'll never really be able to understand what drives them to act in this creepy obsessed way.

43 Stormageddon, Dark Lord of All  Mon, Jun 4, 2012 1:27:07pm

Poor Belinda Skelton now she gets to work for Cain, assuming she doesn't bail as well (I hope so for her sake). Cain has subbed for Boortz for years, then we had Erick Erickson subbing while Cain was running. So it's not a shock that Cain is getting it, particularly since the most likely choice Royal Marshall died early last year. He was the voice that kept Boortz somewhat in check. I hate to say it, but that's when I think the show became untenable for me.

I mean seriously, no matter what Boortz said, you knew that Royal was willing to come in and tell Boortz that he was being dumb/crazy/or full of it. and Neal and Royal would go at it. And sometimes Royal would talk Neal down from some of the crazier positions. It was fun, it was entertaining, and it's why I can't bring myself to give Neal Boortz the same venom as some of the other crazy wingers out there.

The end of an era.
