Breaking: Chuck C. Johnson Thrown Out of Yet Another Political Event

On the list
Weird • Views: 58,011

Things are really not going very well for Chuck C. Johnson lately. After he was detained by Capitol Police, frisked and thrown out of a John Boehner fundraiser in March, I speculated that he was probably on a watch list now because of his creepy behavior.

Well, here’s more evidence that Chuck’s gotten himself on the “persona non grata” list: today he was unceremoniously tossed out of yet another political event, this time in Washington DC.

“Maybe it was my wit,” he remarked. “Typical RINO trying to do me in apparently.”

A friend invited Johnson to the off-the-record event at the Americans For Tax Reform headquarters in D.C. “This being America, I tend to go to things I am invited to,” Johnson wrote on Facebook. “I met Grover Norquist at CPAC where we talked about immigration and Japanese land policy.”

[…]

“Well, a woman named Candace (I think) comes up to me and asks me who I am, I identified myself, offered my hand, and said hello,” he continued on Facebook. “She kept saying I don’t know who you are. I kept telling her who I am. Despite having sat down and talking with a few friends, she asked me to get my stuff so I did. I said I had an invitation and put her in touch with my friend. She said I didn’t. I said I did and she said I didn’t and that she has to follow the rules.”

Asked if she was kicking him out, Candace replied, “I think so.”

It’s not the most locked down event in Washington. But as a source explained, “Some people are definitely persona non grata.”

UPDATE at 6/24/15 11:02:02 am by Charles Johnson

The photo above shows Johnson outside the headquarters of Norquist’s organization, Americans for Tax Reform. The woman who kicked him out was apparently Candice N. Boyer, their director of outreach.

He’s well beyond toxic and into radioactive territory at this point.

And if you’re lurking, Chuck - you deserve every bit of this. Enjoy life as a non-entity.

His friend apparently doesn’t want to be named for the story, and both Chuck and Rothstein comply.

That’s telling. It’s a tacit admission of his toxicity.

Gov. Scott Walker on Wednesday signed two bills in Milwaukee that expand gun rights in Wisconsin.

One bill, Senate Bill 35, removes the state’s 48-hour waiting period for handgun purchases.

The other, Senate Bill 70, allows off-duty or retired law enforcement officers to carry concealed weapons at public schools.

From the top….

Translation; “”Maybe it was my wit toxic persona,” he remarked. “Typical RINO person who pays attention trying to do me in apparently.”

A friend fellow cretin invited Johnson to the off-the-record event at the Americans For Tax Reform headquarters in D.C. “This being America, I tend to go to things I am invited to want to piss on, or, you know…” Johnson wrote on Facebook. “I met Grover Norquist at CPAC where we talked about immigration and Japanese land policy grifting and cash and checks and cash and the art of grift, how to work a grift, and grifting.”

[…]

“Well, a woman named Candace (I think) comes up to me and asks me who I am, I identified defecated myself, offered my hand, and said hello who the fuck are you, bitch?,” he continued on Facebook. “She kept saying I don’t know who you are. I kept telling her who I am I’m Fucking Chuck C Johnson Bitch. Despite having sat down and talking with a few friends marks, she asked me to get my stuff so I did. I said I had a an invitation mission and put her in touch with my friend fellow cretin. She said I didn’t. I said I did and she said I didn’t and that she has to follow the rules.”

Asked if she was kicking him out, Candace replied, “I think so Are you that stupid?.”

It’s not the most locked down event in Washington. But as a source explained, “Some people are definitely persona non grata just smell and look bad at a thousand yards.”

“And I know it’s fun for you. You are trolling by doing these things, because no one on the left is suggesting what you’re suggesting,” Heilemann said.

The flag debate Kristol had weighed in on was itself a reaction to the killing of nine worshipers at a historic black church on June 17 in Charleston, South Carolina. The suspect, who appears to have white supremacist leanings, has been charged with murder.

The exchange culminated in Kristol yelling, “I am not a free market fanatic!”

That, plus it’s not there was lack of antisemitism in the North:
en.wikipedia.org

General Order No. 11 was the title of an order issued by Major-General Ulysses S. Grant on December 17, 1862, during the American Civil War. It ordered the expulsion of all Jews in his military district, comprising areas of Tennessee, Mississippi, and Kentucky. The order was issued as part of a Union campaign against a black market in Southern cotton, which Grant thought was being run “mostly by Jews and other unprincipled traders.”[1] In the war-zone, the United States licensed traders through the United States Army, which created a market for unlicensed ones. Union military commanders in the South were responsible for administering the trade licenses and trying to control the black market in Southern cotton, as well as for conducting the war. Grant issued the order in an effort to reduce corruption.

HaHaHaHaHaHaHaaaaa.

Okay then. Another day of Chuckin’ it.

Regarding Grover Norquist. I flipped on the Rev’s show yesterday as I like following him when he has some major African American topics to cover like all this going on in South Carolina.

He had Grover on along with another guy by the name of Wade Henderson and the Rev said the piece would be about cooperation between strange bedfellows. Apparently all three are working on major prison reforms. They went on to explain that our prison system is way screwed up and once someone does get out, the stigma is so strong they can rarely get a decent job and how that affects our entire society.

They want sentence reforms for lesser offenses. They also want less stringent records that bog the prisoner down after he is out. Their thinking was once you pay your price you shouldn’t have this record hanging over uyour head for the rest of your life, especially for lesser crimes like drug offenses, etc.

Norquist’s thinking is that the government can be saving a lot of money with reform and also the whole American society will benefit if people could get back in the job market and be able to earn their way, etc. He was coming at it as a business Republican.

It was a pretty good piece. It actually made me change my mind about Norquist a teeny tiny little bit.

Here is a link to Shaprton’s Politics Nation site which has video up from yesterday. Check it out.

re: #91 The Vicious Babushka

Civil War was a weird time in history. Grant was reviled for issuing an anti-Semitic order.

There was also Union General Benjamin “Beast” Butler who acquired his nickname for insulting the “ladies” of New Orleans while he was military governor there. His annoyance was understandable in that case, since they kept throwing full chamber pots on his troops then retreating behind the protection afforded them as genteel southern white lades.
Unfortunately, he was also a notorious antiSemite.

However, Butler’s subtlety seemed to fail him as the military governor of New Orleans when it came to dealing with its Jewish population, about which the general, referring to local smugglers, infamously wrote, in October 1862: “They are Jews who betrayed their Savior, & also have betrayed us.” Indeed, Butler was considered “notorious for his anti-Semitism.”

It is insensitive to the very things Haley talked about. Tone deaf once again. They surely could have done something, but no.

I would have liked to have heard some of the discussions about all of that since Haley made her speech.

This is an emotional time and we all need to think through these issues with a care that recognizes the need for change but also respects the complicated history of the Civil War. The Confederate Battle Flag has wrongly been used for racist and other purposes in recent decades. It should not be used in any way as a political symbol that divides us.
But we should also remember that honorable Americans fought on both sides in the Civil War, including slave holders in the Union Army from states such as Missouri, Kentucky, Maryland and Delaware, and that many non-slave holders fought for the South. It was in recognition of the character of soldiers on both sides that the federal government authorized the construction of the Confederate Memorial 100 years ago, on the grounds of Arlington National Cemetery.
This is a time for us to come together, and to recognize once more that our complex multicultural society is founded on the principle of mutual respect.

The Confederate Battle Flag was created by racists for use in a racist cause. I’m tired of hearing about non-slave owners who fought for the Confederacy. The armies of the Confederacy existed for the express purpose of perpetuating human slavery, regardless of whatever motives an individual who enlisted in or was drafted into those armies had. I’m sure there were patriotic Germans who fought to defend the Fatherland during WWII, but that doesn’t change what the Swastika symbolizes.

Um, yes he did, though not by name.

From this point I researched deeper and found out what was happening in Europe. I saw that the same things were happening in England and France, and in all the other Western European countries. Again I found myself in disbelief. As an American we are taught to accept living in the melting pot, and black and other minorities have just as much right to be here as we do, since we are all immigrants. But Europe is the homeland of White people, and in many ways the situation is even worse there. From here I found out about the Jewish problem and other issues facing our race, and I can say today that I am completely racially aware.

A little more complicated. The “M” originally stood for Mechanical and I don’t think it officially stands for Military now as it’s cadet program is voluntary.

What does “A&M” stand for?
Texas A&M, the state’s first public institution of higher education, was opened on Oct. 4, 1876 as the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas, and at that time the “A” and “M” initials were used to abbreviate the name components. When the institution gained university status in 1963, the “A&M” representation (no periods, no spaces and with an ampersand) was incorporated into the official name in deference to the institution’s history and rich traditions, but the individual letters no longer explicitly stand for anything.

Where have we heard this before?

Oh yes now I remember.

As I’ve posted in the past, I am a life long auto racing fan. The sport is dying in this country.

Auto racing is a sport for people that like cars and to drive. It is a special niche. NASCAR tried to mainstream it, especially during the Bush years with their NASCAR dad marketing. They thought they could make it entertainment and on par with the NFL, MLB, NBA and NHL.

Then there was the split in Indycar racing when the Hulman-George family tried to do the same and chased away over half the fans.

All downhill since.

“…The South started and lost a war that nearly destroyed the United States. The cause was unjust, the economic justification unseemly. The actions were treasonous. There is no part of the Confederate cause of which to be proud. There is no moral high ground here. Southerners who claim a deep national pride celebrate their ancestors’ efforts to dissolve the very union of states whose flag they now so proudly fly. They honor a campaign to destroy our country through dissolution but claim the mantle of patriot. A southern loyalist cannot be a patriot; the two ideals are mutually incompatible. As I have said before, you cannot simultaneously love the United States and love the idea of seceding from the United States.”

Wrong. He certainly did take a side.

My politics have shifted a lot in the pass 10 years or so, but one thing that has stayed constant is my dislike for Webb.

I am kinda surprised he hasn’t quit the presidential race yet. This is the guy who was too lazy to run for reelection for a Senate race and he’s going to “run” for President?

I’m really not sure which is more telling: the whiplash they’ve no doubt given themselves since arguing last week that they weren’t defending the flag, or that they’re trying to portray themselves/white folks as “victims” due to the wave of demand for the flags and other icons of the Confederacy to be taken down.

Great, so now the Taliban is fighting Daesh? Earlier this month it was Hamas fighting them. FFS, up is down, hot is cold…

Oh and this, did you guys see it? I don’t quite know what to make of it:

For Egypt, TV Show’s Shocking Twist Is Its Sympathetic Jews

CAIRO — The scene is Cairo’s Jewish Quarter in 1948, and Laila Haroun has news for her parents. Her brother, Moussa, has left to settle in the new state of Israel in spite of the war with Egypt and its Arab allies.

“Your son is a traitor,” Laila shouts across their elegant living room. “You gave birth to him as an Egyptian Jew, not an Israeli Jew, which he never will be!”

Her revelation sets up the central conflict in this year’s most talked-about Egyptian television series, “The Jewish Quarter,” which has astonished Egyptians with its sympathetic treatment of Egypt’s Jews and its depiction of their fierce anti-Zionism.

The villains in the piece are the Islamists of the Muslim Brotherhood, not the Jews, and Laila’s love interest is a Muslim military officer celebrated as a hero in the Jewish community. The military’s real-life role in expelling Egypt’s Jews under President Gamal Abdel Nasser is omitted completely.

The series, which on Tuesday broadcasted the seventh of about 30 episodes, appears to be the first on Egyptian television in at least six decades that has respectfully depicted Jewish families at prayer in a synagogue or Sabbath dinner. […]

So they’re sympathetic Jews, but fierce anti-Zionists? Is the latter a requirement for the former? I’m so confused…

re: #124 The Ghost of a Bikini Shank

I seem to recall that the CSA had in place a law whereby all black union soldiers were not to be held as POWs, but to be enslaved.

Anybody remember the specifics or have a link?

Black Soldiers Confederate Prisons By Thomas J. Ward Jr —PDF file
Excerpt:

If African
Americans could serve as U.S. soldiers
(as, of course, they had before), the
ideological foundations of slavery and
racial inequality would be flawed. The
Confederacy could therefore not treat
captured black soldiers in the same
way that it treated white soldiers,
for to do so would be to legitimize
them as both soldiers and men and
to implicitly accept the Emancipation
Proclamation. Therefore, Confederate
President Jefferson Davis included in
an aggressive proclamation against
perceived unlawful behavior by the
Union Army that was issued on 24
December 1862, eight days before
President Abraham Lincoln’s proc-
lamation would take effect, a chilling
warning to potential African Ameri-
can soldiers. He instructed the Con-
federate Army “that all negro slaves
captured in arms be at once delivered
over to the executive authorities of the
respective States to which they belong,
to be dealt with according to the law
of said States.” A joint resolution ad-
opted by the Confederate Congress
and signed by Davis on 1 May 1863
adjusted this policy to provide that
all “negroes or mulattoes,” slave or
free, taken in arms should be turned
over to the authorities in the state in
which they are captured and that their
officers should be tried by Confederate
military tribunals for inciting servile
insurrection and be subject, at the dis-
cretion of the court and the president,
to the death penalty. 2
Despite efforts by the Confederate
government to articulate the status
of captured black soldiers, the treat-
ment of African Americans in Con-
federate custody varied tremendously
throughout the war, depending on the
time, the place, and the commander
into whose hands they fell.

Closely related:
Proclamation by the Confederate President
ADJT. AND INSP. GENERAL’S OFFICE,
Richmond [Va.], December 24, 1862.
