Video: Carly Fiorina Snaps at CNN’s Chris Cuomo When Questioned About Her Planned Parenthood Lies

Lying to our faces
Politics • Views: 48,429

YouTube

In an amazingly revealing interview with CNN’s Chris Cuomo, Carly Fiorina looks right into the camera and lies over and over about Planned Parenthood and the edited Center for Medical Progress videos. As Cuomo presses her, Fiorina gets very sarcastic and nasty, insisting that the videos weren’t edited (they absolutely were, even the supposedly complete versions), and utterly denying any connection between her extreme rhetoric and the attack on Planned Parenthood’s clinic in Colorado.

Fiorina says Planned Parenthood “made a quiet little announcement that they would no longer accept compensation for the sale of fetal tissue.” That’s a lie, folks; first, the announcement was very public, not “quiet,” and second, what they actually said was that they would no longer accept reimbursement for their expenses when supplying donated fetal tissue, to shut down the claims that they were profiting from these donations. Planned Parenthood simply does not “sell baby parts,” and the way conservatives continue parroting this gross lie is despicable.

In one breath, Fiorina denies her incendiary rhetoric had anything to do with inciting threats and violence against Planned Parenthood — then in the next breath she accuses President Obama and “the left” of using “dangerous rhetoric” that incites people against conservatives.

But her most outrageous lie may be her claim that no one in the “pro-life” movement celebrated the Colorado attack, because while the leaders of “pro-life” organizations may have rushed to condemn the attack (after months of increasingly rabid incitement), many members of the rank-and-file Republican voting base had very different reactions ranging from attempts to deny the shooter was attacking Planned Parenthood at all, to outright support for his murderous rampage. And even presidential candidates carefully phrased their statements to imply Planned Parenthood probably deserved to be attacked — without saying so outright, of course.

This video clip is a picture of a political party completely unhinged from reality and honesty, a party that will do and say anything to keep their debased followers enraged and ignorant, with no concern at all for the innocent people who are being hurt and killed by their ugly lies.

Why isn’t this woman cooling her heels in the Colorado state pen, for incitement and slander at the least?

If there is no connection between a national figure’s discussion of X and domestic terrorists proceeding to go shoot up X, it means the national figure isn’t really much of a national figure, doesn’t it?

Carly, you’re either culpable or useless, and actually I urge you to reject the tyranny of “or”.

‘Liberals try to shut down’ people while they blah blah blah on national TV. Carly, Carly, Carly.

And ‘Ooops’ on the ‘murder’ misstatement on Giffords. Perhaps Carly was affected by incendiary rhetoric.

Between her inability to understand the GOP trademark talking point of Personal Responsibility to the “I know you are but what am I?” approach to all reasonable, but uncomfortable, questions, she should be up there with Carson.

Never say never. I remember the heady days of late 2008 when I was finally never again going to have to hear the name Sarah Palin.

First of all, she complains about President Obama’s rhetoric — are Democrats out there shooting up Republican campaign offices? Did I miss that? I know that Planned Parenthood clinics are being shot up and firebombed, but maybe the liberal media is burying all the shootings taking place at Republican campaign offices.

Second - I just can’t stand Fiorina. Just her cadence and the way she talks — it’s basically “what the hell don’t you understand about what I’m telling you? Why are you so dumb?”

Thank Dog she has no shot at becoming president. I wouldn’t be able to stand listening to her for four years.

She’s referring to the thousands of people cheering - like who Donald saw after 9/11.

You know…only 1000+ counts.

And while I didn’t see any cheering, per se, I sure saw a lot of mansplaining and his-heart-was-in-the-right-place shit.

Because as a rule incitement requires that someone actually urge people to use unlawful violence and Fiorina did not do that.

But now even he’s falling by the wayside, as the base realizes after Paris that the guy who gave them warm fuzzies over their mutual hatred of Latinos is now extending that hate to Muslims. Fiorina claims to be running for the WH on the strength of her business experience, which can be summed up thusly:

1) I nearly destroyed HP, a legendary tech company with a) an ill conceived merger with Compaq, and b) proposed a multibillion dollar acquisition of a tech consulting firm, which the board overruled and which IBM purchased for a fraction of the proposed price I requested; and
2) I pretty much destroyed Bell Labs (yes, that Bell Labs) after it was spun off as Lucent, when I allowed all kinds of accounting shenanigans to go on with booking deals with companies. The true extent of the mess came to light after she left to go to HP.

It was a swell gig for her, as she booked tons of salary but tens of thousands lost their jobs, and she destroyed the stock value of those companies. LU never recovered.

Her character and judgment are thoroughly lacking, and the bogus CMP video episodes is just symptomatic of her bad crazy.

I think the line changes depending on who is receiving it. Obviously a nutter like Dear took it way more to heart than maybe someone a little clearer thinking.

That is why her rhetoric is dangerous. She isn’t aware enough that that kind of thing can stir up the bad crazy way too much. Running for the GOP nomination puts her thoughts in front of a lot more people than if she was just saying it to someone she knows.

I think that falls under that GOP “Party of Responsibility™” umbrella.

CuriousLurker  Dec 11, 2015 • 1:24:33pm

Anyway, I just came to drop off this story:

After 68 years, a Syrian great-grandmother comes home… to her Jewish family in Israel

Rachel Elkayam, the third of 10 children, was a 16-year-old girl living in the mixed Jewish-Arab city of Haifa in 1947 when her parents moved the family to Tel Aviv. Conflict between pre-state Israel and the Arab world was escalating, ahead of the following year’s declaration of Israeli independence and the full-scale war that then erupted, and the Elkayams believed they would be safer in the center of Israel than the north. But Rachel, a rebellious child, had fallen in love with one of her Arab neighbors, Fuad, and was pregnant with his child. “I loved him, and he loved me,” Rachel Elkayam told Israel’s Channel 2 news in a report on her remarkable life story, broadcast on Friday night.

Fuad’s family came to Tel Aviv to find her, and she went back to Haifa with them, and married her young love in a ceremony that she kept secret from her parents. In fact, from the day she disappeared in Tel Aviv, the family never knew what had befallen her, and always presumed that she was dead. […]

As much as I dislike Fiornia, she really didn’t come close to incitement under Brandenburg v. Ohio. You have to show that speech is directed to inciting, and is likely to incite, imminent lawless action. I’m not sure you can establish any of the three prongs (intent, likelihood, and imminence) based on what she said at a presidential debate.

Why do you have a war with Christmas???

/

That war started when Russia deployed S-400 batteries in the Arctic. NORAD’s going to have to have EA-18G Growlers escorting Santa Claus this year and the cost for the missions was going to have to be recouped via cuts to food stamps. Thankfully, the cuts are going to be avoided because Canada’s new PM Trudeau wants to triangulate on matters military so Boeing got him to agree to buy and fly the 4 EA-18Gs needed to protect Santa both inbound and from the North Pole.

NORAD’s not worried about Russia’s MiG-31Ms, since they’re outmatched by the USAF F-22s based out of Alaska.

Thanks for the featured position and the Tweet. I worried a bit when posting this - as I wrote, I don’t want to do anything that smacks of doxxing or hair-trigger webvigilantism. Those are the tactics of the bullies, of CCJ, SMOTI and their ilk.

But the families of these murdered children are fighting this all by themselves. And in the absence of help, of recognition that this battle is even going on, the Hoaxers win.

Perhaps. But the sticking point is with the “honestly thought.” I think that a lot of the wild pronouncements by GOP candidates that are dismissed as honest mistakes actually verge into the “making shit up that they know will appeal to the darker fears and hatreds of likely primary voters” category. Post facto, the candidates then throw up their hands and say that it was an “honest mistake” because the untruth so closely fits the narrative that they want to feed to these people to procure their attention and loyalty.

The untruths that are told cynically then spill over and become part of the background worldview of the GOP base. Kind of like how it’s accepted truth now that Al Gore claimed to have invented the internet, or that there really were weapons of mass destruction hidden all over Iraq.

Trump: TIME Picked The Wrong Person, Merkel Is “Doing Tremendous Damage” To Germany With Muslim Immigration

Donald Trump speaks with Fox and Friends about being snubbed (in his mind) for Time Magazine’s Person of the Year in favor of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, a champion for bringing Syrian refugees to Europe.

TRUMP: You see what’s happening with the hundred thousand refugees, Germany is in turmoil, crime all over the place…

We should build a safe zone in the middle east, and not destroy all of Europe…

When they chose her, I was actually very surprised.

There’s legal responsibility and moral responsibility. Being free from the former doesn’t absolve one from the necessity of the latter. The quality of being willing to own up to one’s morally responsibility is extremely important in a leader, at least it is in my book.

The party of “personal responsibility” my ass.

I would add that everyone should note that many of the same people who say Fiorina shouldn’t be (morally) blamed have no problem blaming all Muslims for the rhetoric & bad actions of a few, are quite willing to blame BLM for cops getting killed, etc.

Either one bears moral responsibility for ALL of one’s words & actions or one doesn’t. There is no picking & choosing here—attempting to do so immediately destroys one’s personal integrity. Period. Full stop.

Abigail Fisher annoys me. She was told what to do to get into UT Austin. Go to another UT System school, take 30 hours, make a 3.2 GPA and she could transfer in. That’s how I got into UT 35 years ago (except I went the community college route). But no, Abigail Fisher was too good for that.

The percentage of African Americans at UT-Austin today hovers around 4 percent, while the the population of Texas is 11.8 percent African American. As far as I’m concerned, UT can use more students of color.

It’s Time to Worry About Donald Trump

[…]

Even though early polls often turn out to be unreliable, it’s hard to ignore the fact that he’s been leading in them for five months now. If this is a blip, it is a very extended one. And during the past few weeks, two things have happened which also suggest it is time to reassess Trump’s prospects. First, more evidence has emerged that he isn’t just picking up the support of furious white men in pickup trucks who see the country slipping away from them: his support is a good deal broader than that. And second, the murderous attacks in Paris and San Bernadino have changed the dynamics of the Republican race, bringing the threat of terrorism to the fore. So far, Trump appears to be the principal beneficiary.

Take New Hampshire, where polls show Trump well ahead. A new CNN/WMUR survey of people likely to vote in the G.O.P. primary, which takes place on February 9th, shows him garnering support from virtually all corners of the Republican Party. To be sure, he gets his highest favorability ratings from men, self-identified conservatives, and people who didn’t attend college. But among self-identified moderates, forty-seven per cent have a favorable opinion of Trump, compared to forty-three per cent who view him unfavorably. Among women, forty-nine per cent think positively of Trump, and forty-three per cent have a negative opinion. Among college graduates, fifty-eight per cent express a favorable opinion of him, and thirty five per cent a negative opinion.

[…]

Here’s the thing, Dark - let’s give her a HUGE benefit of the doubt, and say she misremembered the video when she brought it up a the debate, so what she told then would be an untruth but not an intentional lie.

I’ve tried to dig into their background a bit over some issues but I’ve not concluded anything.

As for the topic at hand - I’m all for genetic engineering if one can demonstrate more positives than negatives. But analogous to some forms of drastic health treatments it can be difficult to balance the pluses versus the minuses.

I’m saying that the GOP is going to get completely crushed in 2016 — it’s beyond a doubt now — but it’s up to them to start the rebuilding process now. If they try and wait until after the election it will be too late

Where is the evidence for this? in national polls Hillary only leads Trump and Cruz by a couple of points and actually trails Rubio by a couple. Most likely scenario as I see it is another 53-47ish result and a doubling down on the derp.

OK, that’s some creepy stuff. She was basically kidnapped.

She didn’t mention any force being involved, either in her decision to leave with the family or to marry Fuad, and now that she’s safely in Israel there’s nothing to stop her from calling it kidnapping if that’s what it was.

I suspect it was more of a case of a headstrong young woman falling blindly in love (thinking it would conquer all), getting pregnant at a time and in a culture where it would NOT have been acceptable, and then just trying to make the best of the bad situation in which she found herself (and her child), especially after Fuad was killed.

She’s lying, yes, flat out. Her rhetoric (and that of many pro-lifers) is not good. But I’m not going to hold them legally responsible for the actions of a shooter unless there is real, legal incitement. Her lying about the videos is more than enough to find that she is not fit for office, saying that she’s inciting violence - when that has a very real legal definition - is something else entirely.

But then, I tend to be something of a free speech absolutist.

Her parents-in-law decided to flee Israel, for Syria, and insisted that she come with them; she was, after all, carrying their grandson in her womb. “I didn’t want to go,” Elkayam recalled tearfully, in the mixture of Arabic and halting Hebrew with which she spoke throughout the report.

Later, in Syria, Fuad’s family told her she could leave if she wanted to, but without her son. “I couldn’t do that,” she said. “I loved the child.”

Even assuming no physical force was involved, it wasn’t consensual. She didn’t want to go, and she didn’t want to stay, but had to, because they kept the child against the mother’s will. Which is also basically a kidnapping.

This is thinking waaaaaaay ahead, but let’s say Trump gets the nomination which I think is likely and then goes on and loses by 20% (at least) in November 2016.

What then? Do you actually think he will concede? I know I’m being way over the top here but I honestly believe he’ll call on his voters to take matters into their own hands.

He won’t lose that bad. At least 45% of voters will vote GOP no matter who the nominee is. And I don’t see Trump as the kind of guy who’ll try to lead a putsch; though he might unleash an army of lawyers.

That is why her rhetoric is dangerous. She isn’t aware enough that that kind of thing can stir up the bad crazy way too much. Running for the GOP nomination puts her thoughts in front of a lot more people than if she was just saying it to someone she knows.

Yes, but the part about fleeing Israel for Syria happened after she’d married Fuad and he’d been killed. Later, in Syria, you’re correct that she basically had no choice if she wanted to be with her child. The family would’ve been following Sharia WRT to child custody, which I presume would’ve been upheld in a Syrian court.

I would point out that Israel did then and still does now follow Sharia in matters of family law, so even if they’d been in Israel, there would have been no guarantee that she would have been given custody of the child. AFAIK, Israel still doesn’t allow interfaith marriage, so while it’s possible that her marriage may have been recognized at the time, there’s no telling what her legal standing might have been in Israel after having married a Muslim Arab from an enemy country.

She was young, in love, and foolishly headstrong and clearly didn’t think ahead to the possible consequences for her & the child if Fuad died leaving them alone. So you can call it kidnapping because that’s what it feels like to us nearly seven decades and half a world away (both physically & culturally), but I seriously doubt it would have been considered kidnapping back then, by either side.

re: #167 WhatEVs

How does the religious right accept Trump when his wife poses for pictures stark naked?

Trump has tapped so directly into the fear and hate of the Wingnut Base that it’s like he bypasses all the other criteria. Indeed, this seems to be the take-home lesson from Frank Luntz’s focus group this week - any attempt to sway his voters with negative information about him only tightens his grip.

This surprised Luntz, but shouldn’t really surprise anyone who has been paying attention to the rising tide of derp:

It would appear the focus-group participants were a spirited bunch. Most believed ridiculous conspiracy theories about President Obama; they assumed Trump’s most outlandish lies were true; they endorsed his anti-Muslim plan; and they discounted any information that originated from major news organizations.

We’ve been saying this for months - Murdoch and Ailes have been carefully cooking up this toxic mixture of hate, fear, ignorance and arrogant stupidity for years, and Trump comes in, sees it sitting on the counter, and just takes it away from them.

One of the biggest, probably is the biggest, challenge when dealing with creationists is that they no longer can participate in a discussion of facts. The fancy term “epistemic bubble” was launched a while ago but the phenomenon has been discussed for a long time. When someone, or some group, defines what they will accept as reality so rigidly that they no longer will look at any evidence contrary then we have a real problem.

Now, all human knowledge is deeply connect to foundational thought processes and what we want to label as “truth”, no matter what that is, comes about as chemical process in our brains. Even if we accept this and embrace that we are just apes squawking at each other, still, the way forward, we would like to think, is best done rationally and by discussing issues with each other.

The Cult of Personality to which we all can be susceptible seems to run very strongly with the Tea Partying Trump followers. They so want to not be the “failures” they fear that they gravitate towards anyone who seems to be successful regardless of where hateful rhetoric will take them.

Clinging more tightly to beliefs in the face of an attack on them is largely universal, but when you combine that natural tendency with the delegitimization of knowledge, expertise, empirical observation, and simple logic, and tell people that their beliefs, their ‘common sense’ is more important than actual data or facts, you divorce people from reality. Reality becomes what they believe it is, what they want it to be.

DuPont and The Dow Chemical Company today announced that their boards of directors unanimously approved a definitive agreement under which the companies will combine in an all-stock merger of equals. The combined company will be named DowDuPont.

The parties intend to subsequently pursue a separation of DowDuPont into three independent, publicly traded companies through tax-free spin-offs. This would occur as soon as feasible, which is expected to be 18-24 months following the closing of the merger, subject to regulatory and board approval.

[…]

“DowDuPont” is almost as bad as the fact that these mega corps are trying to shirk their social responsibility.

I think I heard one conservative commentor wonder aloud if it would kill him to take at least one departure from right wing orthodoxy.

The fact that Cruz is a zealous right-wing ideologue is the entire basis of his run. He’s hoping Trump falters and wants to pick up the Trump voters.

So, yes it would kill Ted Cruz to deviate even 1 micron from wingnut orthodoxy.

Let’s be realistic: in Israel a Jewish child of a Jewish mother would not have been given away to a non-Jewish family.

We can argue about whether the flight itself was a kidnapping - what with her being a minor and not wanting to go - cultures and times do indeed differ. But something tells me blackmailing a minor with her child and keeping her incommunicando for 68 years would have been considered creepy back then, too.

I’ve heard that from wingnuts, that they want to dollar to be strong. It’s an article of faith with them, that a strong dollar would mean a strong economy. It’s like their belief that if everyone were frugal, only bought what they could afford and never went into debt, the American economy would boom! Or their belief that if you cut taxes on the rich enough, the economy would boom so much that the taxes gained from increased economic activity would far outstrip the lost revenue from lower rates.

The thing is, none of these makes rational sense, and all have been empirically refuted. But again - articles of faith.

A Canadian transgender father left behind a wife and seven children to begin a new life as a six-year-old girl.

Stefonknee (pronounced ‘Stephanie’) Wolschtt, 46, had been married for 23 years when she realised she was transgender.

She’s now living with an adoptive family, and says she does not “want to be an adult right now”.

“I can’t deny I was married. I can’t deny I have children. But I’ve moved forward now and I’ve gone back to being a child,” she said in a video series by The Transgender Project, published by Daily Xtra.

Or if they do, they then use it as justification that being trans must be a mental disorder.

Let’s be realistic: in Israel a Jewish child of a Jewish mother would not have been given away to a non-Jewish family.

I don’t know that for certain and neither do you, unless you (or someone else here) can produce a similar case from that time. I’m also keeping in mind that there was much war & upheaval going on, so the circumstances were far different than they are now. If we were talking about today, or even 20-30 years ago, then I’d readily agree with you.

We can argue about whether the flight itself was a kidnapping - what with her being a minor and not wanting to go - cultures and times do indeed differ. But something tells me blackmailing a minor with her child and keeping her incommunicando for 68 years would be considered creepy back then, too.

Maybe you’re right, but there’s no way to be even remotely sure—again, because there was much war & upheaval going on at the time and neither of us knows what was considered a minor at the time. I know that until a couple of years ago the minimum legal age for marriage was 17 (it’s now 18), but who knows what it was before that? I sure don’t. A quick Google search tells me the age of (sexual) consent in Israel is currently 16, but I have no clue what it might have been in 1947.

In any event, I’m gonna stop now. I find that the vibe can get a little weird in here when subjects like this come up. When I try to look at things according to the culture, laws, social perspectives, and events of the times, I sometimes start to feel like people see my viewpoint as some sort of apologia or (in this case) approval of kidnapping.

That weirds me out after having been here for over five years and spoken my mind honestly, so I’m gonna stop discussing this and find something more pleasant to occupy my evening with.

There is nothing wrong with trying out a culturally different POV. In fact, it’s a must.

The whole story struck me as the lady escaping from where she didn’t want to be. I think there are enough details in the story to justify this conclusion. Hence my first comment. I was not focused on the exact mechanics of her initial travel, because in my mind it’s forcing her to stay there that was a form of kidnapping, whether she had initially come willingly or not.

It is the holiday season, so I’ll moderate my remarks to the point of mentioning that everybody quoted in this piece is a moron. And Frank Luntz has played a major role down through the decades in making them such. Going around, coming around…

Good story on Frank Luntz linked there:

“…Luntz’s most notorious memo may be the one he sent out in 2003 about the threat of global warming: “Should the public come to believe that the scientific issues are settled, their views about global warming will change accordingly. Therefore, you need to continue to make the lack of scientific certainty a primary issue” — even though no such “lack of scientific certainty” exists.
……………………………………..
Luntz may find the inner peace he craves by escaping, but the city he leaves behind will still have plenty of Republicans who share his disgust with what the GOP has become. They just won’t have the author of their misery.”

Obviously someone brainwashed by Obummer and George Soros to say these things.

That’s what they think—it’s all the Democrats’ fault. This mind-numbing bit of idiocy from that Federalist article:

Trump makes sweeping statements with firmness and conviction, tenaciously holding on even when they are proven false—which is attractive to Americans who are sick of progressives’ self-serving narrative about how everyone is wrong except them.

Progressives, in their overreach, provoked their opposite. Their hypocrisy, double standards, and ruinous public policy have created a thirst for something, anything that looks and feels and smells different. Trump’s ideology is different but, with its nativism, bellicosity, and celebration of jack-booted big-government, it is also at least half-fascist.

Well, alrighty then.

Hunter’s take on it is excellent:

The overall premise, however, is that “the left” created Donald Trump, in that the Republican presidential race, party, and totem of ideas has been put through a wood chipper by Donald Trump and his fellow extremists only because the left goaded an apparently brick-stupid Republican base into it. The left, you see, tries so hard to be Gallant that it can’t be helped if fed-up Goofus eventually starts setting fires and eating people’s skins just to get attention. Or something—it gets a bit sketchy…

So conservatives like Donald Trump because he gives voice to white grievance, and because he is an unapologetic liar even about easily provable things, and because he is an autocrat who doesn’t give a rat’s ass what the laws and Constitution say, and because he flat-out doesn’t trust brown people. There you go.

Apropos of absolutely nothing, this paragraph from Stephen Budiansky’s recent book about the WWII Atlantic campaign, “Blackett’s War; The Men Who Defeated the Nazi U-Boats and Brought Science To The Art of Science,” just now made me chuckle so much that I have to share:

Worst of all was the food. The Americans were literally incredulous at how bad the meals were at the RAF mess. “Unbelievably bad,” recalled one American officer. “The mess seemed to be a continuous diet of cabbage. Brussels sprouts were considered a rare treat and once we were given cauliflower with a cream sauce for dessert!” That apparently was the norm in the wartime service; and RAF officer at another base in England recalled endless breakfasts of pig’s liver and the mess hall’s “combined tea and cocoa urn” that produced tea-flavored cocoa at breakfast and cocoa-flavored tea at supper. [U.S. Lt. Col. Jack] Robert’s men were eagerly awaiting the establishment of their own mess, which they had been promised would begin operating in February, and the chance to have “some real American chow.”

Alas, no matter what happens it will always be The Trump Tower, I still call the place where the Astros play Enron Field as a “never forget” reminder.

Chicagoans are justly proud of the buildings designed by the great Louis Sullivan. Funny fact: the only Sullivan building here in NYC is the Bayard-Condict Building, just a block away from one of the all-time great dive bars, Milano’s, on Houston bwt Mott & Mullberry Streets.

Detail of the Bayard-Condict Building. Gorgeous

Milano’s Bar

Srsly, the next time you visit New York City you have to check out this legendary joint.

Besides, I was talking about the party as a whole. Carly isn’t the only GOPer to take part in this smear campaign of lies on PP. This is a lie and DF ahs admitted it as a lie. What I really want to know from him directly is why these lies directed at an organization that does tons of good work for poor women’s health is deserving of the treatment its gotten form the GOP. I mean if he wants to say flat out that poor women’s health issues aren’t his concern as a man of some privilege, that’s fine but I really want to know how you can stay devoted to a party that you know full well is lying about this.

The usual answer to questions like this is that such tactics are useful for motivating the base and defeating Democrats.

It’s a very operational point of view that ever-so-conveniently skips over the unfortunate fact that the GOP is shit.

It is grand, and whatever my feeling about Donald Trump running for president Chicago’s Trump Tower is something he did right. It was bound to be controversial, though, since it displaced the Hancock Building as the second-tallest skyscraper in Chicago (the Willis (Sears) Tower remains the tallest).

What a load of shit. I have held a security clearance. If I had pulled any of that shit I would have been fired and charged.

Sorry, chum, but you weren’t Secretary of State, so your experience is worth precisely dick.

IIRC, the agencies that initially raised concerns about handling of classified material have since withdrawn those concerns.

This would appear to be a zombie GOP talking point.

Doubt it. It’s been shown over and over that what she did was both allowed and what prior SOS’s did, yet s/he still bitches about it.

No, not “doubt it”, no. S/he’s not going to STFU.

The 2nd tallest is that bland and soulless AON building that might as well be designed by a bunch of soviet architects

So the secretary of state sets up a private server and conducts government business over her personal email account. This is not difficult. This is not complicated. This is just stupid.

the plausibility of the theory that she violated the law and will be indicted shrinks with every passing day that nothing happens

but if im wrong and she is indicted, how do you suppose that she could continue to run for president?

If anyone else had pulled this stunt they would be in deep shit.

She on the other hand will pretend like nothing happened (stained blue dress) and continue her run for president.

It was designed by the same firm that designed the original World Trade Center, so that’s why it looks as it does. But my dad worked there when it was still the Amoco Building, so my feelings towards it will always be warmer than yours.

Look how long it took to bring Petreaus to trial. And now the Army is recommending no further punishment under the UCMJ-tho which I say, he should lose his military pension at a minimum-especially for violating 18 USC 1001—if any of us did that we’d do time.
