AP Slips, Publishes Truth About UN Schools in Gaza

Middle East • Views: 2,093

An Associated Press article extolling the wonderfulness of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) makes a surprising admission about the hatred routinely taught in their schools: UN’s role in Gaza rises among the rubble.

In one classroom Saturday, when UNRWA schools reopened, a Palestinian teacher was filmed asking children about their trauma during the war. The unidentified teacher then told the children that Palestinians have to “wage war against them (Israelis) until they leave their land,” and asked her students, aged about 8, how they should react.

Two children in the class suggested hurling stones or rockets back at Israel. “Okay,” the teacher said, apparently summing up her class’ position. “We throw rockets at them, we throw stones at them,” she said.

Ging said such behavior is “completely unacceptable,” and will be “dealt with in the most severest of fashions.” He said the teacher would likely be removed once identified.

9 J. Lichty  Tue, Jan 27, 2009 2:46:19pm

Ging is talking about the AP reporting it. That is what is unacceptable.

of course, he could be disappointed that the answers of the little martyrs in training did not include kidnappings, shootings and suicide bombings, maybe that is what he finds unacceptable.

Poor Gingy, the mask comes off.

Hamas may be politically in charge of the Gaza Strip, but it's to the U.N.'s relief agency that the majority of the 1.4 million Gazans turn for health care, garbage collection, food assistance and just about every other service usually provided by a state.

That certainly frees up Hamas to do what it does best.

Not if they have a union.

13 tradewind  Tue, Jan 27, 2009 2:46:51pm

They're going to remove her? Well, no worries. First they have to ' identify' her, and since her position is essentially the same as every other Gazite's, they may end up having to resort to the Dreaded Sanctions.
Yeah, that'll clean up Dodge.

That's like Gov Patterson's saying he would condemn the Caroline leaker and fire him/her but he doesn't have a clue who it could be. At least he has the excuse that he's too blind to be able to see his own reflection in a mirror, but neither Hamass or UNRWA have that excuse. BTW where did those third graders ever get the idea about lobbing rockets at civilians in Israel, maybe from some rabid mouse or bee perhaps?

Our new President greatly cheered the islamic fundamentalists and radicals today by showing in his television interview he had no clue about the ruthless and determined adversaries he faces in defending this country.
Lord Obama, muslim extremists do not care about children's opportunities they care about meeting the fundamental requirements of jihad as they believe Allah has laid out for them.
A child holding a job as a well-paying bricklayer, let us say for the equivalent of $10 US an hour in peace with Israel is less important than
the child being a shaheed, a martyr who pleases Allah and goes straight to heavenly reward. It's kind of like you spending 170 mil on your inauguration. Get the picture?

The shame is that every moment that goes by and this type of indoctrination continues to be conducted on kids prolongs the time before this madness will end. Indoctrinating kids at this age just perpetuates this evil and insures that it will continue throughout their lifetimes.

A two sided approach is needed:

1) A short term solution which confronts and fights this hatred in the present day
2) A long term solution which stops this teaching of hatred to children and hopefully shuts off the long term harm that is done.

If you don't confront and stop the hatred that is taught to children now, all other efforts are futile.
It's like having an overflowing bathtub. The very first thing you have to do, before grabbing towels and mops, is to turn off the spigot. Otherwise your'e fighting a losing battle..........

[Link: littlegreenfootballs.com...]

Mental, physical, emotional abuse is what this "society" teaches their children before they ever set foot in a "school". *spit*

Yep. And many of those children take their lessons to heart and act as fodder. Their leaders know they are setting the children who throw rocks up. They HOPE they will be killed.

And they set up not just the children - the women also. I personally think Mrs. Riyashi was set up, and I think there is ample evidence of it. She became involved in an affair with a senior Hamas commander, then her husband "found out" about it. They gave her the choice of being murdered or murdering herself and others to "restore the family honor."

A surprisingly (or maybe not) large percentage of women bombers are in similar situations. It's doubly horrifying, because they kill themselves and murder others, based on not just female subjugation but truly evil anti-women trickery and evil cultural stereotypes that leave the power in the hands of blood-thirsty, deranged men with no moral compass.

John Ging, Director of Operations, UNRWA, Gaza on NPR's All Things Considered

excerpt:

NORRIS: I want to ask you about the Israeli strike earlier this week that killed about 40 Palestinians at a UN run school and in nearby houses. Israel has said that gunmen were firing mortars from the school. I know you dispute that, but there are people from the area who've told reporters there were, in fact, Hamas fighters nearby. Isn't it likely that Hamas is using UN facilities for cover, using civilians as human shields?

Mr. GING: This is something that we need to have investigated, and that's why we've called for an independent investigation. What we need to have is a proper process of accountability, get the facts established and then hold accountable those who are responsible.

NORRIS: As the fighting goes on, though, doesn't this complicate your mission in areas as dense as Gaza City, where Hamas fighters are blending in with the civilian population?

Mr. GING: This is a challenge that we've always known about and are very alert to. We have good systems and procedures in place to vet the people as they come in. It's a shelter for civilians, not for militants, and everybody is fully aware of the consequences of any violations of that.

At the UN site, there is no news about hate-spewing "teachers" but there is this puff piece about how a UNRWA teacher is so overcome with grief he wanders the streets of Gaza alone with his memories... Overcome with grief, UNRWA school teacher is absent

Gaza – Ma’an – When the schools opened in the Gaza Strip Saturday, Mr Al-Batran was not in his classroom. He has not been home in days, and relatives say he has not seen his one-year-old son since the massacre.

Forty-year-old Issa Al-Batran may never go back home. His surviving mother and son have begged him to come back with them, but he prefers to wander the streets with his memories of Gaza before the onslaught.

Scottish Islam Foundation tightens its stranglehold over Scottish Muslims

In the last year the Scottish Islamic Foundation has made great strides towards becoming the Scottish version of the Muslim Council of Britain – albeit inspired by the Muslim Brotherhood rather than Jamaat-e-Islami.

Osama Saeed, the SIF’s founder, has so far persuaded the Scottish National Party to give the group almost £400,000 of public funds. In return, Saeed has promised the SNP that – given enough money – he can persuade Scottish Muslims to embrace Scottish Nationalism and turn their backs on Labour – the traditional recipient of Scottish Muslims’ votes.

What the Scottish government may have overlooked is that Osama Saeed, a former member of the Muslim Association of Britain, is a committed Muslim Brotherhood activist who will shamelessly use public money to promote his own bigoted form of Islamism.

re: #221 summergurl

Hey Mich-again

Was listening to Rush today and a caller from Detroit said the illiteracy rate is 80% in the city of Detroit. Is that true?

I am not familiar enough to know which statistics are true. But I have volunteered in several elementary schools the last few years and my impression has always been the kids are great. All the ones I've dealt with seemed to be able to read and write at their level. But those are 5th and 6th graders. Great kids really.

And I do know that the kids love it when you bring in books for them to have and take home. Any book to call their own.

The schools don't have libraries in them anymore and most the kids can't get a library card in Detroit because a parent has an outstanding parking ticket or tax bill or something of the sort. So the poor kids in the inner city have no access to books other than their textbooks. And people wonder whats wrong in the schools. I like pointing this out to liberals around here.

During the 1978 Oscar telecast, Vanessa Redgrave made a controversial speech denouncing the "Zionist hoodlums" who had threatened her (in reference to threats from the Jewish Defense League, identified by the FBI as a right-wing terrorist group). Two hours later, after no one had commented on her speech, Chayefsky stated his distaste for Redgrave's using the award event to make a political point: "I would like to suggest to Miss Redgrave that her winning an Academy Award is not a pivotal moment in history, does not require a proclamation and a simple 'Thank you' would have sufficed." He received loud applause for his riposte to Redgrave. Later, in an interview, he stated that he was offended by her "cracks about Jews" and about having sat and "praying somebody would say something" and commented only because no one did.[1]

You're right. But taxation without representation has been going on for years. I don't see anyone doing anything about it, including myself. I am vexed as to which road should be taken to remedy this. Elections where I've presumed the candidate I've voted holds some of my views, goto DC and are suddenly transformed into something I hardly recognize. And some of the other alternatives to fix this are very frightening indeed. What do we do when the options run out? Leave the country? I don't have any politically acceptable answeres anymore.

Let me tell you - the State of NJ is ALMOST as Broke as California. People are beginning to realize it. As things stand - the likely Republican Nominee, Chris Christie, our former US Attorney, with a record that Fitzpatrick would love to have when he grows up, is in a statistical TIE with our sitting Governor, John Corzine, formerly of Goldman, Sachs and laterly of the US Senate. My wonder is that Christie is NOT ahead beyond the margin. Then again, this is NJ - last refuge of Local Control /"Rotten Boroughs."

1) Is Obama really stupid enough to shut down Gitmo? 2) Those people have got to be full of revenge after all these years.

The answer to your two questions are:

1) Yes
2) Yes

An implied question is 3) "and were we stupid enough to elect him?"

3) Yes

I grew up in NJ also and I never thought of NJ as anything but a body dumping ground for the mafia?

I lived at Lake Hopatcong from 1964-74, and considering the place I came from, Brooklyn, it was paradise.

I read and accepted the apology, Hoosier. And then she felt it necessary to add this.

I'm going to risk a personal judgment here and say that she strikes me as a flake. And that's the end of it. She's in my "skip" file from now on.

A very gracious response Cato..Then a snarky response back. I didn't like that..

Nor did I. But that's the way it goes sometimes. Some people can't just say "I was wrong" and leave it at that. They always have a big "but" to add.

But I've said my piece. There's a new thread beckoning...

re: #304 Mich-again

Good point. No libraries in schools? And we spend the most per pupil for education and can't even let them check out a book.

California voters screwed away the money, since they are the ones who voted for all the bark eating projects, programs and politicians.

In fact, shortly after AHNOLD was elected here, he presented a program of initiative measures to the voters, aimed at the long term control and rationalization of California's finances, and the voters turned the initiaves down.

So, in effect, the voters are loons too, to use tfk's word.

That was exactly what I said, I place it all on the shoulders of most of the voters in CA. This is a prime example of the bark munchers getting just due, to bad there are a handful of you who are getting screwed along with them.

But, aren't we all?

All we have are commies and libs.

No conservatives.

These freakin' cowards.

Throw them all out. They've all failed.

Watching the news today for one critical comment about the President and all I heard were digs at the Democrats in Congress and nice comments about Obama. I will admit they are seem a bit reticent to confront him directly. The Rush thing really surprised me.

I moved here shortly before Arnold was elected. I remember the fallout from Gray Davis' recall - largely on out of control budgets. And then the same freakin' voters who turned out Davis shit all over Arnold's propositions - he was never the same after that. I think the heart went out of him.

Better hope it works fast, before the food, water, ammo, and fuel run out.

The MSR is an insecure mess that spends a conspicuous amount of time being closed. The newly opened secondary logistics route exists only at the whim of Tsar Putin. Air couldn't do it (MSR) alone when there were just 30,000 in country, it sure can't do it now.

No amount of speed will work as long as the Al-Q, the various Talib factions, and the various other jihadi groups have access to safe sanctuary inside Pakistan's Northwest Frontier Provinces.

The unidentified teacher then told the children that Palestinians have to “wage war against them (Israelis) until they leave their land,”

Yes, it says THEIR land; meaning the Israelis own the land. This teacher is going to get it from both sides. Hamas will kill her for saying the Israelis own the land. UNRWA will probably do the same.
