Of all the lizards who looked into Obama's speeches last year, avanti got it the most right: the markets did rise earlier this week, and Obama's plans are popular with 50+% of the population. When that sinks in, the market will see a popular leader of a united government. So what if it's socialist? Who cares about a bunch of blog-reading, Fox-watching wingnuts. I'm predicting big gains tomorrow.
Sure, the middle businesses will collapse, crime rates will rise, inflation will kick us in the ass; but Wall Street doesn't care.

Exactly. The idea is to make charities file for handouts from the Government. On top of being taxraped, we''ll be encouraged to check off that we want to give more towards charity.
We won't be able to pick out own charities, and only Obama sanctioned ones will be able to survive. There is already a website advertising on TV that allows you to pick out charities and pay online, like shopping on Amazon. I think it's pretty easy to see this coming down the road.

Patience grasshopper...let me post my reply from Senator Casey about THAT issue:
Thank you for taking the time to contact me about my vote on the Martinez Amendment #65 to H.R. 2, the Children's Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act of 2009. I appreciate hearing from all Pennsylvanians about the issues that matter most to them.
As a public official, and particularly as United States Senator, I have sought to support a consistent and comprehensive ethic of life, and to pursue the common good, as best I can understand it. I am pro-life, and I believe that life begins at conception and ends when we draw our last breath. I also believe that we must protect and nurture life at every point in that process. My actions as a United States Senator have been consistent with this philosophy.
I support family planning and do so specifically because reducing unintended pregnancies reduces the number of abortions. Restrictions on the federal funding of abortions are firmly in place both domestically and overseas. U.S. funding of abortions overseas is prohibited by the 1973 Helms Amendment, and federal funding of abortion in this country is prohibited by the Hyde Amendment.
I fully support both the Hyde and Helms Amendments. The Helms Amendment states that "No foreign assistance funds may be used to pay for the performance of abortion as a method of family planning or to motivate or coerce any person to practice abortions."
The Mexico City Policy restricted family planning funding to nongovernmental organizations overseas. President Obama reversed the Mexico City Policy on Friday, January 23, by Executive Order. Senator Martinez offered an amendment to H.R. 2 that would reinstate the Mexico City Policy, which would again restrict funding for family planning overseas.
I voted against the amendment because I believe it is important to provide funding for family planning services while continuing to prevent U.S. funds from being used to promote or perform abortions. The Helms amendment remains in effect and will continue to prevent federal funds from being used to perform or promote abortion.

1 in 50 kids are homeless? Obviously a crackhead came up with that stat. If you ever get any free time, take statistics 101 at your local community college and you'll see that they can and will do anything they want with the numbers. Its called "confidence interval".
Also, when he keeps saying he inherited this debt it drives me up a wall. President Bush had to create an entirely new department/agency of the government in Homeland Security. How much does this jackass think it would cost to start, from scratch, the IRS, the DoD, Homeland Security? I think 1.3 trillion is pretty cheap when you think about it.

My Idiot Box has gone into the dumpster. I realized the MSM was in the tank with Obama and if you let the punch-drunk palooka of Pennsylvania Avenue into your living room you will end up with a steaming pile on your carpet.
From the comments I can conclude that the punch-drunk palooka of Pennsylvania Avenue is a arrogant, condescending, liar. The punch-drunk palooka of Pennsylvania Avenue speaks out of both sides of his mouth. He is not afraid to play the race card and he is constantly blaming his poor actions on someone else.
I think McCain would have made a much better President. And, now I am beginning to think Biden would be better than the punch-drunk palooka of Pennsylvania Avenue. Biden is a known factor. The punch-drunk palooka of Pennsylvania Avenue is all over the map.
Nothing good will come of the punch-drunk palooka of Pennsylvania Avenue. He has got too many tax cheats and cronies on the payroll. I hope that some of them are caught and sent to jail and he steps aside.

Mandy, I fear the dye is set. We will have to listen to and about this bafoon for the rest of our lives. The MSM has way too much invested in the idiot seeing how they will prosper on the crisis...the Obama that they created. They adhere to the bullshit philosophy of 'let no crisis go to waste.' Their crisis is the ignorant fucker they helped release on the townsfolk. Dr. Frankenstein in retrospect was a much better, more compassionate architect when compared to the MSM and their monster. They also picked the wrong brain.
