What’s your opinion on going for it on fourth down? What scenarios make that a wise tactical choice?
I’d say if you’re anywhere out of your first twenty yards, and it’s six yards to go or less, go for it on 4.

The CW I’ve heard is that Alienware was much stronger for desktop rigs as opposed to laptops.
I’ve had several bad experiences with Alienware laptops, one general POS and another that need to be under clocked to run due to heat problems. Both of these machines were ‘05 era though, so their quality might have changed since then.

After some consideration, it must be the Packers, for the following reasons:
1) They wear the mighty Green and Gold. This alone would be reason enough.
2) Community-owned. As a foreigner, I find it terribly jarring how the trophy of major sporting leagues is handed to some guy in a suit, rather than a player.
3) On my one and only trip through Green Bay, my good mate and I were hit on by more or less every woman we met, and some of them were tempting enough to make us cancel the rest of the trip.
4) My totally unscientific and anecdotal encounters with Steelers fans suggests that they are rabid to the point of deliberately being obnoxious. This is similar to rednecks, who are different from hillbillies in that rednecks are hillbillies who go out of their way to be arseholes. Sure, many fans of many teams are obnoxious, but this is different from, say, Jets fans, who are just obnoxious naturally and thus can’t help it. This seems to be a calculated obnoxiousness on the part of Steelers fans.
5) Ben Roethlisberger appears to be in need of a good slapping.

Damn straight! It was Rice’s work ethic and intelligence that really set him apart. Pure natural talent won’t make you world-class, it’s only the foundation.
Not that Rice didn’t benefit from having two of the greatest quarterbacks ever to pass to him, but some of his catches verged on the miraculous, like the endless number of one-handed catches of tailing balls.

Wait, you’d go for it on your own 25 when it’s 4th and 6? You got some serious guts.
Problem is that 4th and long isn’t a high percentage play and if it doesn’t work, your opponent is already in FG range. It’s too much to risk imo.

True, but having real talent at QB let him catch more passes at short range too, because Young and Montana could see openings and hit them better than most QBs.

Yeah, I was being purposefully hyperbolic.
The punt should be outlawed in favor of a fifth down where the defenders get to deploy punji sticks.

I feel so privileged to have watched them as a kid. I thought all football was like that.
Growing up in middle Ohio, i was a Bengals fan as a kid. And even as a kid, i knew that they left too much time on the clock for Montana in that SB. I had absolutely no doubt that SF would score on that last drive.

I don’t care whether you forgive him. But barring ex-felons from gainful employment, with certain exceptions (security clearances, etc.) seems like a policy which runs counter to our national interests…not to mention human interests.
Boycotting anyone who offers him an endorsement seems like a far more logical and productive step than bemoaning the fact that he is employed.

whether the skill set of an ex-con affords them the access to a higher-paying job is immaterial. so certain felonies now should also carry the penalty that forever after, the ex-felon is not permitted to earn more than X dollars per year?

She went after Charles over his choice of posts. But it had been building for a while. The change in the posters here didn’t really sit well with her, and she didn’t want to be respectful towards Obama. Things had gotten bad, and her going after Charles personally was the last straw.
