There’s a primary election in Missouri, and caucuses tonight in Minnesota and Colorado, so here’s a thread to keep up with news from the front lines; the Missouri primary just closed (at 8pm ET) so results should start to be available soon.

Since the GOP race promises to be another snooze fest, I present OK Go's new video

The new music video from OK Go, made in partnership with Chevrolet. OK Go set up over 1000 instruments over two miles of desert outside Los Angeles. A Chevy Sonic was outfitted with retractable pneumatic arms designed to play the instruments, and the band recorded this version of Needing/Getting, singing as they played the instrument array with the car. The video took 4 months of preparation and 4 days of shooting and recording. There are no ringers or stand-ins; Damian took stunt driving lessons. Each piano had the lowest octaves tuned to the same note so that they'd play the right note no matter where they were struck. For more information and behind-the-scenes footage, see [Link: www.LetsDoThis.com...] and [Link: www.okgo.net...] Many thanks to Chevy for believing in and supporting such an insane and ambitious project, and to Gretsch for providing the guitars and amps.

New feature. Your 'display name' is now shown in comments too. You can see anyone's real username by clicking their icon.

I also have a one-click way to turn this on and off, just in case there's any abuse of the feature.

The 99% of the channel's sock puppets are taking over! Down with the MAN!

That gave me an idea!

118 Fat Bastard Vegetarian  Tue, Feb 7, 2012 5:57:47pm

I guess the hardest thing about this for me? I thought LGF had been hacked.

I am totally serious.

Breitbart is in a flutter this evening about being 'targeted' by OWS and New Black Panthers at CPAC. His source: an anonymous email tipster.

@AndrewBreitbart Why is media silent over @Occupy threatening violence against me & @NewtGingrich at CPAC?

123 erik_t  Tue, Feb 7, 2012 5:59:09pm

Good LUAP, (Minneapolis) Star Tribune is showing 49% Frothy Mix at the moment, 15% reporting.

124 BongCrodny  Tue, Feb 7, 2012 5:59:23pm

When you change your screen name back, certain posts that you made earlier in the thread make no sense whatsoever.

Yes, I understand that's normal for me.

Occupy Breitbart!

(There's plenty for everyone!)

heard an excellent story on the evil NPR about some new young christian rappers.

except for the one freak (he was horrible) "Jesus was made out to be a fag, really, he was a man!

The others were really good. calling out how the "christians today are so far from the Jesus of memory"

re: #62 Charles Johnson

OK -- to make it even easier to see someone's username, just hover over the name and the username will pop up.

Neato!

130 Gitarzan  Tue, Feb 7, 2012 6:04:11pm

re: #85 Peronist Progressive Derp

We should all change our names to Charles Johnson. That would freak out the stalkers! Ready?

//

I've already started that meme.

131 Petero1818  Tue, Feb 7, 2012 6:04:12pm

I am Charles Johnson, and so is my wife.

132 Gitarzan  Tue, Feb 7, 2012 6:08:20pm

re: #131 What could go wrong?

I am Charles Johnson, and so is my wife.

Would that be a little...awkward?

The shiny new names are very, very bad and confusing. I'm too old to figure out aliases. Hey, youse guys are like them wacky muslims now--lotsa names that change all the time.

Other than Santorum's supporters, the people cheering the loudest over Rick's primary and caucus victories are Obama's supporters.

137 Tigger2005  Tue, Feb 7, 2012 10:30:32pm

Wow. Just when I thought Republicans might have found in themselves the discipline to vote for the one candidate, Romney, who has a chance against Obama in the general election, they turn en masse to the most primitive, hairy, beetle-browed candidate still in the running. Do they really even know what the heck they want?
