Hey lizards! a little OT before i take a nap before the the big night in Norman.
I spent about few hours today doing prep work on the phone for my big move.
Since they don't deliver mail in the effen middle of nowhere I finally contacted a Mary in a local town Post-office to acquire a PO box.
We spoke for a good 15-20 minutes about the farm I bought and the late owners. She used to be their babysitter as a young lady and I feel I know all the good stuff about the history of the place..
I can't help but smile..This is the life I want.. When I got the big Metlife check I made a top 10 list of places I want to live. A once in a lifetime opportunity
I'm feeling pretty dang good right now..

If it's the one I'm thinking of, then "anonymous sources" claiming that CIA operators at the annex were first asking permission to aid those under siege at the consulate, and then requesting help when the attack turned to the annex.

A kinda weird observation. Most people I knew who spent at least some time working a farm on which they grew up never want to farm again. It's always people who grew up in urban/suburban, maybe with a garden, who want the bucolic life.

Curious last line to their update....
For now, the CIA isn't saying no one was ever prevented from assisting the U.S. compound but it is vowing that the agency itself never played a role in denying those requests.
That seems to imply the possibility that there was still a stand down order but it didn't come from the CIA. Maybe but I think the CIA is only going to comment on CIA stuff and not speak on behalf of other agencies.

Yeah, I was trying to figure that one out because I don't remember marriage ever being "taught." Honestly, I am fine with preparing kids at some age for the fact that there are homosexual people in this world. Who knows, learning that gay people aren't sinful heathens at a young age could do some good.

"Think gay marriage won't effect you, think again." People in Massachusetts seem to be doing all right with it despite what that couple claims. I believe Massachusetts has one of the lowest divorce rates in the country. Really with divorces at a record high and at their highest in regions that vote highest for these bans on gay marriage. I don't want to be lectured about the sanctity of marriage especially by someone like Limbaugh or Gingrich who wouldn't know the phrase "To death do us part" if bit him in the ass. Sorry rant off but issues like this is are why I want the president to win re-election. Those mysterious connection errors every night at about 11 pm Pacific are no longer mysterious, and it won't be a problem any more.
It was the backup program, doing a dump of our 12GB database, which took forever and locked it up the whole time.
Now we're doing a clone of the MySQL directory instead, just copying the files. Much faster. No more errors.
We may have to still do a weekly full backup the old way, which we'll probably schedule for late Sunday evening, and I'll put the site in maintenance mode while it happens.

Its quite responsive, and its update apps are like androids apps.
