House Republicans Pass 40th Obamacare Repeal Bill
House Republicans passed their 40th bill to repeal or dismantle Obamacare on Friday before heading home for a month-long recess.
The mostly party-line vote was 232-185.
The “Keep the IRS Off Your Health Care Act of 2013,” sponsored by Rep. Tom Price (R-GA), would prohibit the Internal Revenue Service from implementing “any provisions of or amendments made by” the Affordable Care Act.
The legislation, dead on arrival in the Senate, is part of the GOP’s ongoing quest to rile up their conservative base over Obamacare, this time by exploiting recent wrongdoing by the IRS.
