Breitbart Audience Reacts to Larry Wilmore’s Speech With Huge Outpouring of Ugly Racism

Yes, again
Wingnuts • Views: 62,450

In his speech to the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, Larry Wilmore pushed the envelope hard; George Carlin would have been proud of him. Wilmore closed by saying, “Yo Barry — you did it, my nigga.”

And of course, that was all it took to send conservatives across the Internet into paroxysms of rage and fake offense, masking their envy that they can’t use words like that themselves.

But actually, the right wing audience at Breitbart “News” does use words like that. All the time. Every single day, in every comment thread. While whining furiously that they’re being silenced by “political correctness.”

Today’s case in point: Wilmore to Obama: ‘You Did It, My N*gga’.

I love how they coyly use an asterisk in the word, as if they actually give a shit.

This is the Breitbart “News” business model: legitimizing and giving a voice to the racist right wing base, and taking their hate speech from underground sites like Stormfront to the mainstream. There was a time years ago when they pretended comments like these were “planted” by left wingers trying to make them look bad, but now they’re just embracing the suck and making bank from it.

Here’s a selection from more than 2400 comments packed with noxious bigotry and racist slurs, hidden by default because man is this stuff ugly. And as usual, this is just from the first few pages of comments; there are thousands more like these.

Leave it to primitives to push the vulgarity envelope.

[…]

Boy, they know what they is.

and

They don’t need any help from the White Seats.

[…]

So this is evolution? The Presidency…and the MSM…has been “thugified”…and…”Niggafied”.

obama will be known as the greatest conquerer in history. He started the Muslim conquest of the world unintentionally as he deliberately set in motion the overthrow of whitey’s constitution through anarchy and chaos. All this by a pot smoking son of a disfunctional family and with a confused racial identity.

[…]

Obammie is the biggest racist, sexist and homophobe of all. Let us all call him my ni…g…er. See how that goes.

I’ve seen mountain Gorillas do that.

[…]

Obama is the world’s n*gger.

[…]

Blacks will be blacks, and the man who holds the highest office in the land is referred to in that stereotypical manner is shameful.

[…]

Well, if Obama did not chastise Larry Wilmore, then Obama sees himself as a too-dumb-not-to-be-sold-into-slavery negro.

What nigmennogs both Obama and Wilmore are.

[…]

So now can the whole nation use the term n*gga?

[…]

Larry “ghetto trash” Wilmore speaks like an inner city thug, and the Chicago ghetto trash thumps his chest in solidarity.

[…]

Why does even Breitbart need to put little “stars” around things like N*gga - I heard it all with my own ears? That little star makes it PC?

[…]

Such a class act our half white pres.

[…]

The correct term would be “mulatto”.

[…]

More than negroes, the color blind conservatives are the trouble. Negroes are just being negroes. The White I’m-not-racist-but people are cowards and traitors. All negroes use the n i g g e r word. Why is anyone shocked?

I’ve seen more intelligence at the zoo.

[…]

So does this mean everyone can use this beloved term, i.e. whites to black and vice a versa because it was said on national TV and Obozo thought it was funny?

[…]

Of course not, you know there is a double standards for whites to use derogatory language. White people are banned from any language and jokes that use the word “ni88er”.

[…]

Isn’t Political Correctness grand? You can’t say it or even think it but “they” can say it into the camera to be used by our enemies around the world.

I feel if that word is acceptable to use by ANYONE, then it is acceptable to use by EVERYONE.

Apparently “jiggaboo” is acceptable now since he used that word as well.

We can all use that word freely now. It’s obviously a term of respect.

Larry Wilmore will shat himself when white folks get enough and go full skinhead…and the time may soon be coming….

“By the year 2050 we’ll be a majority-minority country and in both 2008 and 2012 President Obama won a combined 80 percent of the votes of all minority groups,” RNC chair Reince Priebus said in a press conference debuting the report. “The RNC cannot and will not write off any demographic or community or region of this country.”

I haven’t seen anyone mention it yet, but the two sets book-ended each other: President Obama started with his joke about “CPT” and Wilmore ended with his shout-out - both jokes that we white guys just can’t tell.

Larry and Barack sure shined a spotlight on the racist assholes didn’t they?

I was actually touched by that whole exchange in Wilmore’s final salute and their mutual “code hug” (dunno what to call it). It was a historic moment in itself and a very cool salute to a historic presidency.

I just can’t imagine living in a world where adjudicate the worth of a fucking t-shirt shop based on the color of the models they use in their advertising. Quite aside from the general ickiness, the mental accounting honestly just sounds exhausting. How do these people even keep track of who’s white genociding when? Is there an Excel spreadsheet on their laptop at home? “[X] showed brown kid, cannot shop”.

Sanders voters could not wrap their mind around the idea that a person could actively support Clinton, and in turn warped all conversations into “well wahhh what don’t you like about Bernie!?”.

It’s interesting that that logic goes all the way to the top.

Does Sanders get that at some point, he needs to actually start, like, appealing to superdelegates? Or does he trust all his bomb-throwing minions to hassle them into giving up on Clinton?

Clinton needs <36% (~361) of the 1016 pledged delegates from the remaining primaries to secure a majority in just the pledged category. She already has secured the endorsement from >70% of all the super-delegates

But, that’s not Bernie Math

Clinton didn’t even tell the joke. It was Mayor DeBlasio at the Inner Circle dinner (sorta the NYC version of the correspondents’ dinner).

nymag.com

They thought it’d be funny because DeBlasio really is always late to stuff; he thought he could get away with it because his wife and kids are black. It wasn’t funny, and he didn’t get away with it.

re: #27 sagehen

He didn’t get away with it because he told it very poorly. My wife and I weren’t amused, but neither were we even slightly bent out of shape about it.

After watching Larry and Obama’s speeches at the dinner, I think Obama had better jokes, but Wilmore had much harder shots at people/institutions. But I was disappointed in that Wilmore took a lot of EASY shots, and the Ted Cruz thing just was…too much? Or maybe it was nervous delivery? My wife stopped watching because the crowd reaction was too painful (but I’m less sensitive).

But he is not entitled to anything. Superdelegates are not bound by state votes. He knew this going in. But even then…he is way behind in pledge delegates. The irony, that he now thinks SD should decide the nominee, is pretty rich.

43
goddamnedfrank  May 1, 2016 • 1:08:37pm
Bernie Sanders heavily emphasized his intention to sway superdelegates in order to help him overcome an insurmountable lead in the Democratic primary during a press conference in Washington D.C. on Sunday.

“Those superdelegates ought to seriously reflect whether they should cast their vote in favor of the vote of the states,” Sanders said of the prized delegates in states where he won majorities in the popular vote against Clinton. Despite assurances that he will back Clinton if she is the nominee, Sanders continued to suggest that the Democratic National Convention will be contested. He said that with continued success in upcoming contests, superdelegates will begin to come to his side as the Democratic candidate better suited to defeat a Republican candidate.

Sanders is such a greasy little piece of shit. He knows goddamned well that Clinton would still beat him by enormous margins even if Superdelegates had to vote according to who won their individual States. He’s flat out lying to his supporters and trying to convince people to reverse the democratic outcome and popular vote.

I just read something really sad - I feel a bit sick actually. Maybe this is satire. I hope it is satire.

But if not - this is the next step in the Bernie revolution:

brandnewcongress.org

They are just so clueless about how the world works. Oceans of disappointment and disillusionment are in their future. This part alone:

March 2017

Announce all 400+ candidates
We will make announcements prior to this when we reach 10 and 100 candidates, fueling our volunteer base and donations each time.

Our candidates will be working people from many backgrounds and fields who:

Are good at what they do.
Are proven servants to their communities, families, friends.
Have consistently passed on opportunities to sell out.
In general, have never held or sought public office.
Agree completely on a unified economic, social justice, and climate change platform.

I had a friend who ran for congress once. It took over his life and his family’s life for almost a year. They were exhausted and frustrated and much poorer when it ended (with his defeat). The idea that a group of enthusiastic kids is going to be able to find 400 such people - let alone people who agree with them on everything - it beyond ludicrous.

And they want people who have never held office before! Just to add another layer of nonsense to the ridiculous cake.

I know berniebros don’t want to hear this, but as a cynical old man, I can speak some truth. Do you know how the Democrats gain control of Congress, making it possible to enact reforms like the stimulus package and the ACA? It wasn’t by running candidates who passed leftwing purity tests. To win a majority in Congress, with the districts that currently exist, the Democrats have to win some districts that trend Republican. This means that they have to be centrists. Some of them, like Democrats in Kentucky, may have to run against the “war on coal.” Some of them, like Bernie, may have to be skeptical of gun control. They may have to even support some restrictions on abortion. You may not like this; I don’t like it. But without candidates like that, the Democrats can’t gain control of Congress, and if the Democrats don’t control Congress, zero progressive legislation will pass, no matter who the President is. Thems the facts; deal with it.

When former Speaker John Boehner called Ted Cruz “Lucifer in the flesh,” the Texas senator wasn’t happy.

But as it turns out, actual Satanists were even less pleased with the comparison.
Rachel Maddow blog:

The Hill added a day later, “A leading Satanist group is trying to distance itself from Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) after the presidential candidate was compared to Lucifer.”

“Cruz’s failures of reason, compassion, decency and humanity are products of his Christian pandering, if not an actual Christian faith,” Lucien Greaves said on Thursday, according to The Friendly Atheist.

Boehner probably had no idea this kind of reaction was coming, but all things considered, Satanists were probably more bothered by the “Lucifer” line than Cruz was.

They assume rights are a zero sum game; if they aren’t oppressing a group, it means that group is oppressing them, or plans to.

I know, that’s the joke. The GOP claims minorities are treated so great, but yet they are deathly afraid of white people becoming a minority.

Just because its constitutional doesn’t mean its a good idea. If its a school tax and you don’t have any better ideas for leftover money, then I’d suggest a mentoring/tutoring program for poor kids.

Tell that to the GOP that controls the purse strings in Michigan.

Remember when the majority of Americans voted for the candidate they wanted to have a beer with? The guy who was a ‘good’ businessman? The not a nation builder? And his opponent was just not relatable, elitist, and didn’t have a great personality? That went well for the country and the world didn’t it.

I wonder if that is really the problem…becoming the minority. I sometimes get the feeling it is more about innate hate and nothing more. They just can’t accept they are not the master race. It is has been so ingrained for so long by ‘history’ and centuries of uncontested beliefs of all kinds. For so many it cannot be undone.

On the other hand, Obama is pretty darn cool on a personal level. Let’s not try to paint DF into a frankly rather silly corner of likable=bad.

You are arguing something different. People don’t ‘like’ Hillary’s personality regardless of her past. The same thing happened in 2000 against Gore.

I guess all I’m saying is “I don’t think I’ll ever like this person, but I’ll end up voting for him/her” is a completely reasonable and sensible position to take, and it’s totally understandable that a person might prefer to vote for a person who is equally qualified but more personally agreeable.

I mean, to be quite honest with everybody, I have never particularly liked John Kerry. I still pulled the lever for him in ‘04 so hard it about broke off.

When HRC stood in for Bill at a minor function in Tel Aviv, she came off very likeable. It’s their politics that were fair-to-middling. (That is, worlds better than anything out of the TPGOP.)

re: #147 majii

What they fail to understand is that some of us are black, and we don’t use the word. My parents hated the word. I hate the word and taught my kid to hate it because it is a derogatory term used to de-humanize others. I had to get on one of my nephew’s butts because he uses the word often, in my presence. He hasn’t done so since I told him I find it offensive. It’s not only some whites who find the term offensive, many of us do, too.

This. I never heard my parents utter the word and I always hated it and never allowed it to be uttered in my home. Ditto for my son. When he lived here in NJ, he went to a mostly black high school and 99% of his friends were black. It’s used pretty casually around these parts between youth of color, and they wondered why he never used it and told him it was okay of he did. He told them, no, it didn’t matter whether or not they’d accept him using it—he he wasn’t raised using it and his mom wouldn’t stand for it, therefore he was also morally opposed to it. Period. End of discussion.

They didn’t stop using the word among themselves, but they understood & respected his stance and I never heard any of them use it in my presence.

No, they don’t like Hillary’s personality because they’ve been incessantly told they don’t like her personality. Same with Gore. This is the news media’s function now—to tell who we do and don’t like.

It started in 1988 when we were solemnly told from every TV box that Michael Dukakis “lacked charisma”. (Whatever the hell “charisma” is, if Dukakis lacked it and Bush had it, who would want it?)

re: #134 majii

My daughter is black and her fiance is white. People like these put fear in my heart for their relationship because they refuse to mind their own d*mn business. When she was growing up, the only thing I told my daughter in regard to choosing a mate was that I wanted the person to love and respect her and never abuse her. Her fiance fits the bill in these respects, and it’s enough for me. Also, she didn’t pursue a relationship with him, he wanted one with her, something haters never allow to enter their minds. They have the mindset that any race other than the one to which they belong is inferior, and that race determines one’s morals, work ethic, intelligence, propensity to commit horrible acts of violence, honesty, etc. How wrong they are. By not getting to know those of other races and lifestyles, they are depriving themselves of multiple opportunities to meet wonderful persons. I’m so thankful that although I grew up under Jim Crow, my parents were progressive and taught me to approach and evaluate people on an individual basis because it’s made my life richer and more fulfilling. These social isolationists can watch as the rest of us move forward and hopefully, create a nation in which every American is allowed to be who/what s/he wants to be, and any proposal to pass laws related to gender and religion are universally rejected.

I know all too well because my ex girlfriend is African-American. It really hurt when family members refused to accept her. One became especially vile when my girlfriend answered the phone. The garbage that came out of my family member’s mouth drove my girlfriend to tears. I lost my temper with that idiot, I gave it to that idiot with both barrels and I cut off all contact with her for hurting my girlfriend after she sent me a note saying she was praying that we would break up because the Bible forbids interracial relationships. There were other contributing factors when my girlfriend saw Facebook pages of other relatives the just dripped with hatred. She said she loved me but she could never handle the abuse and hatred she saw in my relatives posts. So I know all too well just how destructive racism is. And it makes it very difficult to deal with relatives who dish that shit out.

I don’t think he was a goofball, for heaven’s sake. He had served his time in the military, was stationed in Korea, and if he wanted to get into a tank, so what? I was so offended at the media and the Bush campaign for making fun of him for that. Might as well make fun of Bush for his weird socks!

His video sitting as a tank commander made him look like a goofball. I never questioned his record, just the optics of that campaign. It was another election where voters cared more about someone they like instead of a better candidate.
