Well, Uniform Crime Report data is skewed because drug offenses are based on arrests and African-Americans are disproportionately stopped, arrested, and convicted on drug charges.

Isn’t it interesting how Trump makes no effort to actually go and do outreach in minority communities? He went to Jackson MS but somehow managed to fill up the room with mostly white audience in a town that’s mostly black. That takes effort.

Then he goes to another town that’s nearly all white to pontificate on how he and a bunch of other white guys will help blacks out if only they listen to them instead of the Democrats.

Meanwhile, Clinton has close confidants and aides who are black, the DNC is headed up by Donna Brazile, and there’s black politicians stumping for her across the nation - and her rallies have a wide spectrum of support.

Minorities get the danger of Trump. They’ve seen the rhetoric before. Heck, I posted about it in the last thread:

He appeals to the base hate of the GOP. Trump repeatedly recycles the hate-tropes/memes used by prior generations.

It wont be long before he direct quotes Father Coughlin, to go along with Joe McCarthy, and the other bigots from US history. And if it isn’t Trump directly, he’ll have his surrogates spewing this nonsense.

I flipped on MSNBC to see if they were going to carry the Clinton Speech.

Kate Snow just had an African American RNC member whose name I did not catch but he was all about Trump changing and getting to the right message for African Americans. He said the Democrats and Hillary always bring up the KKK in things like the ad that was shown earlier today with the KKK guy saying he supports Trump. He contended the only time you see the KKK these days is in a Democratic ad. He also downplayed the whole alt-right thing as a way to scare African Americans.

He was pretty slick. He also said he and other African American leaders met with Trump this morning and Trump was all about catering to the African Americans and speaking to them.

Then Snow showed a bit of Trump from earlier and sure enough, he also said the KKK ad was a low blow and a typical Democratic dirty trick straight from their own well-worn playbook.

Looks like we are getting into pre-debate area and the messages are really going at each other. Hillary on the offense, Trump now being very defensive.

For the African American RNC guy that Kate Snow interviewed,,,you might want to read Brietbart and the alt-right guys because they disagree with you and they sure as hell would like to see you shut out of their little alt-white world. I understand you have a job to do, but good luck selling that to the African American community.

It’s bullshit, of course. But much of the drug supply—at least to New Hampshire—passes through Lawrence, MA from NYC. So when there is a massive bust you’ll see 20 white faces and five brown faces (often from farther south). People here tend to fixate on the brown faces, so LePage can get away with a lie like that.

Yeah, that’s his claim.

Too bad that the crime stats don’t exactly bear that out.

There’s about 5,000 drug arrests per year.

According to that publication, the probation sample suggests that about 90% of probationers are white. That means about 10% are black. There’s no specific breakdown of crimes by race in ME that I’ve been able to find especially as it relates to drug crimes. But if the outcomes suggest that 90% of those on probation for all crime are white, then that would be highly suggestive that LePage is lying his ass off.

Priorities. The first thing we need to get agreement on in the US is whether or not we’ll have a representative democracy within the normal boundaries for such things.

With respect to this issue, the far left can lead, follow, or get out of the way.

It’s what happens when you listen to the radio host Alex Jones, who claims that 9/11 and the Oklahoma City bombings were inside jobs. He said the victims of the Sandy Hook massacre were child actors and no one was actually killed there.

Trump didn’t challenge those lies. He went on Jones’ show and said: “Your reputation is amazing. I will not let you down.”

“Al Baldasero”

It seems Trump doesn’t have the best brain he claims to possess. Not for one minute do I believe that Trump didn’t know that Baldasero called for HRC’s death. I do believe that, as usual, he’s lying. He’s the one who planted the idea of killing her in the minds of his supporters in the first place with his 2nd Amendment solution to her winning the presidency. When one says [paraphrasing here,] ” I can’t do anything about her, but maybe someone who believes in the 2nd Amendment can,” it’s a clear call for violence that ends in someone’s death.

And the end of his career George Wallace was getting the majority of the black vote.

Yeah I saw that as well. I don’t know what he actively did for Civil Rights in his last years as Alabama’s governor. I just know that Black went from being a KKK member (which was a point of controversy for his USSC nomination even in the 30’s btw) to voting in the affirmative of Brown and other landmark Civli Rights cases.

“Breitbrats having a sad”

There would be no reason for them to “have a sad,” if they weren’t guilty as charged. Throughout the blog’s existence, there’s been no move to moderate the comments so that its bloggers don’t come across as the racist scum they are. They expressed themselves in the ways they wanted, using the racist words they wanted to use, and now they’re angry? Surely they jest. I’ve read the many racist comments Charles has posted here in the past from Breitbart and other alt-right blogs, so they have no defense or reason to be angry that the Rotor Rooter girl in the form of HRC just made a call at their residence and has begun working on clearing the sh*t out of the system.

Fantastic post! I can feel your emotions in your words.

I spent much of last season trying not to lose my shit at games when crowds started those chants. I thought about what would be the most effective response. I got into the habit of walking across the court and sitting with those fans at halftime and talking to them.

I’d introduce myself first and explain exactly who I was.

I would tell them that Azim eats two plates of my spaghetti when he comes over. He helps clean up the gym when people leave their crap everywhere. He plays hide and go seek with the rest of the team and my two sons when they come over to watch The Walking Dead. That he’s a great kid and he’s a son to me.

Then I would say, “I am sure you guys didn’t realize this. i am sure you are better people than to yell that kind of nonsense at a 17 year-old kid playing a high school basketball game. We all want our team to win, I get that, I’ve got 22 years being married to that coach over there and I’ve seen it all. It’s your choice how you want to act and who you’re going to be as people. I chose to believe you’re better than this. Most people are. Good luck to your team.”

Then I would walk my ass back to behind my husband’s bench and glare at them.

Better believe it worked every time.

“Oh boy, Fournier.”

Fournier has been one of the right’s staunchest cheerleaders, through thick and thin. He had a national media platform he could have used to attempt to prevent the party’s lurch to the far right, but he didn’t do that. He, like Bill Kristol, essentially rubber-stamped everything GOPers did/said, so I don’t think he has a valid reason for being turned off by the fact that the alt-right has taken over the GOP.

True, Rubio would be a more tough candidate by default. I just think Ben’s wishful thinking about Rubio. Rubio’s big strength is that the GOP establishment liked him and appears to me saw him as their version of Obama- Young, immigrant’s son, from a big state but he’s no Obama. He’s someone who just wanted the nomination handed to him and it’s part of why he lost.

If you really want to see why the Breitbrats are having a major sad today, well, it’s not because of Hilary’s speech. More like how Trump is starting to look squishy on the only thing they really care about, which is ethnic cleansing of the U.S. to get rid of all the brown people.
