2/3 of my hoped-for November trifecta now in the bag. Just wating for the envelope from ABOG to make my life complete.

May this be the start of a new era of peace for Israel.

Ding dong the witch is dead, the witch is dead, the witch is dead

Arf-Fart is responsible for thousands of innocents being murdered

Remember the brutal sicko legacy of the maniac behind modern terrorism

Using terror - targeting unarmed civilians - murdering passengers on airlines

This is sickness tot he Nth degree

Those who condone, appease, or accept are far worse

But this is the lowest of the low in humanity

Honor the Vets

Thank a Vet

18 unitacx  Thu, Nov 11, 2004 5:01:57am

We're passing out sweets in my office today.

The mood here in the PA territory is generally celebratory. Not just in my office, but it seems there's an up-mood everywhere here in Philadelphia, PA. Things have been pretty quiet since the election (people generally went for the candidate not endorsed by LGF), so Arafat's departure was great news.

Sorry we don't have a delegate to send to Cairo. Philadelphia, PA's Director of Sanitation and Sewage is busy. So Jhimmy Carter will have to go alone.

I am still hoping for a Trifecta. 1)Bush elected, 2) Arafat dies, 3) Castro moves onto the next world.
What a great month that would be.
Perhaps I will have to settle for the first two and then a massive civil war in the West Bank and Gaza.

21 Geepers  Thu, Nov 11, 2004 5:02:25am

More insensitive? I had done an "owned" picture over at Horror Unheeded, but I think that the dead fish beats it by a long shot. Still, you're free to pick up on my idea and run with it.

Today, I wear blue and white, to celebrate Yasser Arafat's death - and my "Proud to be an American" cap, to celebrate all those good people who have given their lives to making us safe from vermin like him.

Happy Veterans' Day!

Arafish - Arf-Fart - the father of modern terrorism - targeting unarmed civilians mass murdering of innocent airline passengers and so on - killing thousands of innocent children - the legacy of brutality and sick murder of civlians and passerbys

The opposite of all that is good

This is why we fight

To end the acceptance, legitimacy and actions of targeting of civlians for murder

Damn fine photoshop.

Though, I think it could have been better if the Grim Reaper or Satan himself was grabbing the fish and flushing him down the toilet.

The media is falling over themselves to deify this terrorist. This guy killed American diplomats for chrissakes! He deserved to be executed for those actions, but Clinton gave him a warm welcome at the White House. He should have done the perp-walk, not feted as a honored guest.

Finally! The lingering farce in France was a nice touch too, blunting a lot of the drama of the event.

Poor, poor lefties. Another one of their heroes goes down as an embarrassment.

Now to see what happens with the Jordyptians. If not glorious martyrdom blood and souls for civil war, then I suggest Israel set a pattern of being very tough with the PLO leadership. Give any leader 30 days to start making solid, sustainable moves against Hamas, Islamic Jihad and al Aqsa. If they fail or cease, kill them. Won't take too long before getting positive results.

66 metroman  Thu, Nov 11, 2004 5:12:59am

I will always remember him as a Nobel Peace Prize winning terrorist. I think that he was technically dead on Nov 3rd. But the French and Palestinian doctors were a bit concerned over the theological implications of such a state of affairs. Bush wins, Arafish dies. Anyone wonder whether God had a hand in this?

Long live GWB!

Silent Running's post Move Toward the Light gave me a chuckle this morning.

My favorite line:

George Bush is un-re-defeated, coalition troops are seriously crushing the insurgency in Iraq, Howard has another term in Australia and Yasser Arafat is dead.

God is trying to kill me with happiness.

Ha!

On another topic, read Captain's Quarters Veterans Day post and be certain to listen to the MP3 he has linked of a group of coalition soldiers in Iraq singing the Star Spangled Banner at the USMC birthday celebration. Unbelievably stirring.

Thank you, veterans, for you service!

How people eulogize Arafat (sadly predictable) will say a lot about them. In recent times, there has never been a litmus test more clear on how one can be judged (good versus evil). To say he served his people would be subscribing to the culture of lies, terror and murder that he created. Rather than try to gain a state, his life’s purpose was to destroy one. May history judge his legacy harshly.

You know, the sickest thing (other than the fact that the world is involved in this massive intellectual masturbation and history-rewriting exercise about one of the bloodiest and cruelest animal who ever walked the earth), is the fact that he died on Rememberance day.
What irony. On a day when we remember those who died for such a noble and worthy cause, here we have a piece of crap who spoils it and takes the attention away from real heroes.
...and to think that now, on the same day every year, we wil have thousand of people who will march to his freaking "shrine" in Rhamallah to remember this beast. And the MSM will lap it up, of course. I can already imagine the Chomsky's of this world making the parallel between these freedom fighters and this "freedom fighter".

86 traveler  Thu, Nov 11, 2004 5:21:25am

Top o' the mornin' to ya, Charles!

I am in the depths of depression as I watch world leaders (except John Howard of Australia!) wax poetic about this murderer. It sickens me.

From today's issue of Omega Letter Intelligence Digest (www.omegaletter.com):

With the exception of John Howard, the rest of the world's leaders proved, by their comments, to be; a) complete idiots, or, b) craven cowards. In some cases, (Jacques Chirac comes to mind) both apply.

But Irish President Mary McAleese topped even Jacques Chirac, saying in a statement that, "President Arafat has been a key figure in the efforts to bring about a peaceful resolution of the Israel-Palestine conflict on the basis of two states living in peace within secure and agreed borders.”

Completely abandoning reality, she reinvented the bloodstained terrorist on the fly, saying, “His passing is a tragic loss to the Palestinian people for whom he has been a unifying figure for decades.”

A UNIFYING figure? Yasser Arafat? What has she been smoking?

Time for a reality check. Yasser Arafat was the founder of Fatah and the PLO. The objective of both organizations was the destruction of Israel and the annihilation of the Jews. Yasser Arafat invented terrorism.

It was Yasser Arafat who dreamed up airplane hijackings as a terrorist tool. It was Yasser Arafat who was responsible for the 1972 Munich Massacre in which eleven Israeli atheletes were murdered by PLO terrorists.

According Barry Rubin's biography of Arafat, the PLO committed more than 8,000 terrorist acts between 1969-1985. It was responsible for the deaths of more than 650 Israelis, 28 Americans and scores of people from other countries.

Among Arafat's more memorable acts was the massacre of 11 Israeli athletes in Munich in 1972 and the attack on a school in Maalot in 1974 that led to the death of 21 school children.

Arafat's minions also hijacked four planes in the 1970s and the Italian cruise ship, the Achille Lauro in 1985.

(Aboard the Achille Lauro, Arafat's crew murdered a wheelchair-bound American in his 70's from Florida, Leon Klinghoffer, by pushing him, wheelchair and all, over the side of the ship._

Israelis were not the groups only target.

In 1971 the PLO assassinated the Jordanian Prime Minister Wasfi Tel. It kidnapped and killed US Ambassador to Khartoum Cleo Noel and Deputy Cheif of Mission Curtis Moore as well as a Belgian diplomat Guy Eid, in 1973. Still it failed in its plan to attack the US embassy in Amman in 1973 and to kill Jordan King Hussein in 1974.

Yasser Arafat embraced Saddam Hussein when he invaded Kuwait, turning his back on his Kuwaiti and Saudi benefactors. After the war, they cut off his funding and expelled Palestinian guest workers who had lived in those countries for generations.

Arafat only came to the peace table in 1993 because he was broke -- he had no choice. His Peace Prize was a sham -- Arafat killed more Israelis -- more than 1000 in the last four years-- as a Nobel Laureate than he did when he was just another unwashed terrorist.

Global reaction to the death of Yasser Arafat is a measure of just how much the rest of the world hates Israel. Yasser Arafat wasn't just a terrorist from Israel's perspective, Yasser Arafat was a terrorist by every imaginable definition.

And there are few countries on earth untouched by his bloodstained hands. (That would also include the Irish, who evidently are among the worst cases of the mass hysterical amnesia now being suffered by leaders the world over -- with the noted exception of Australia.)

Yasser Arafat was the personification of evil on this earth -- and he had few equals, either historical or contemporary. He was a thief who stole from his own people, destroyed their hopes of statehood in order to maintain his hold on power, and founded the world's first UN-sanctioned terrorist state.

– Sept. 5, 1972: Munich Massacre —11 Israeli athletes are murdered at the Munich Olympics by a group calling themselves “Black September,”said to be an arm of Fatah, operating under Arafat's direct command.

– March 1, 1973: Palestinian terrorists take over Saudi embassy in Khartoum. The next day, two Americans –including the United States' ambassador to Sudan, Cleo Noel – and a Belgian were shot and killed. James J. Welsh, an analyst for the National Security Agency from 1969 through 1974, charged Arafat with direct complicity in these murders.

– April 11, 1974: 11 people are killed by Palestinian terrorists who attack apartment building in Kiryat Shmona.

– May 15, 1974: PLO terrorists infiltrating from Lebanon hold children hostage in Ma'alot school. 26 people, 21 of them children, are killed.

– June 9, 1974: Palestinian National Council adopts “Phased Plan,” which calls for the establishment of a Palestinian state on any territory evacuated by Israel, to be used as a base of operations for destroying the whole of Israel. The PLO reaffirms its rejection of United Nations Security Council Resolution 242, which calls for a “just and lasting peace” and the “right to live in peace within secure and recognized boundaries free from threats or acts of force.”

Nice. But I would like something even more insensitive. Ideas?

Yes. As to the funeral arrangements, how about a five-star Palestinian car-swarm, with body parts scramble and shots fired. "Hey, Abdul! I'll trade you this gallbladder for that testicle!"

Arafat is dead.
His most significant accomphment was to walk away from peace
He will be buried in his shack in Ramallah, not on in Jerusalem.
He named no successor.

Thank the lord.

It's tempting to draw a parallel between the disaster of Arafat's rule and the disaster of Kerry's run for the Presidency. But that would be grossly unfair to the Senator. For all his faults, and all the faults of the Democrats, they are not even vaguely comparable to the evil that is the PLO.

I had three goldfish in a bowl once.

Two went belly-up in a few days. Just like Arafish.

But the third one was nuts. He would whip around the bowl, going as fast as possible, then leap out. Mostly he just splashed back in, but once I found him on the floor, barely alive. Suicide fish. He was fine after I dropped him back in.

None of this is relevant to the topic at hand.

Talking Kamel: Thats exactly what Im here on this thread to ask. Who has a LIST of the names of the Israeli Athletes that this guy MURDERED? Next, he did finance Leon Klinghoeffers MURDER didnt he? Somewhere in that incident, the road leads to Yassar Arafat. Right?

We need to mail the list (of course you could add all those names of the hundreds and hundreds of victims from the Intifatas he was responsible for AND the names of the many manyAMERICAN Deaths that he was responsible for)

Whose got a LIST? Mail it to the WH...And all the Big Media and ask why they arent mentioning the VICTIMS of this murderer but are CELEBRATING the Perp. that caused the death of these innocents. Where is the footage of the Munic Massacre in the coverage today? Where are the Pro Israeli people on CNN today?

NEXT: I want an accounting of how much money the US Citizen has paid for getting Suha to back down, for shoring up Abbas, for the Egyptian so called Funeral or Service or whatever it is there and any OTHER expenses.

What did the US Promise and who did they promise it to. We have been forking out or promising money by the Milliions of dollars these last ten days. (yes we have) I also wanna know if Suha has been promissed shelter here in the US for now or at any time.

I also wanna know if the US interferred with Israel in any way when Israel had a chance to go after Arafats money or info. leading to that money. Did CIA/State Arabists, using our money, help the Pals secure that STOLEN money? Did this happen this week? YES! Would most American Citizens want all of this? NO.

Ahhh, and the real God sighs with glee after a most gratifying bowel movement...

Some lovely peripherals about Arafats demise -

---in his last images, with that ridiculous little hat and ugly little face, in his last moments he looked like some washed-up, alcoholic elf forever banished from the North Pole.

---the last smell to tickle his nose was not the blood of martyrs, but the B.O. of inept French doctors.

---the headline "his aides say he is dead" ---hahaha - his "AIDS"!!! A wonderful, subtle, Freudian pun on the MSM's part.

---that even his closest "aides" are relieved that he is dead

---that his gold digging wife was fucking some Lebanese christian pig...

---that he was small, bald, very unattractive, and did not see the end of Israel

A repeat post - but these thoughts make me just giddy!

I SAID I WAS GONNA DO IT WHEN THE FISH DIED, SO HERE IT IS!

A BRAND NEW EPISODE OF, "THE HEART OF SUHA-HA ARAFAT!"

(SYRUPY MUSIC PLAYS. THE CURTAIN RISES. YASSIR ARAFAT IS REVEALED LYING IN A FRENCH HOSPITAL BED, HOOKED UP TO A GAZILLION LIFE SUPPORT MACHINES. A FRENCH DOCTOR ENTERS TO CHECK ON HIM, AND PASSES OUT FROM THE SMELL.)

Unctuous Narrator Voice: Yes, it's time again for, "The Heart of Suha-ha Arafat," wherein we ask the question---"Are Diamonds really a girl's best friend, or are Swiss Bank Accounts what her heart truly yearns for?"

(Fritzie the Talking Kamel, a 1930's 'Toon camel, dances across the stage, playing "Hearts and Flowers" on an extremely tiny violin. She exits stage right. Suha-ha enters, pushing her lover Pierre, a Lebanese spy before her. Both wear gas masks. Suha also wears a black corset, fishnet stockings, and a magenta feather boa.)

Pierre: But Suha, love of my life, I don't think. . .

Suha: You don't need to think, Pierre my squishy snuggle-bunny! Just dress yourself as my disgusting toad of a thoroughly-ex husband here, and all will be well!

(Pierre puts on a hospital gown, and a black and white kefiyah. Humming, "Diamonds are a girl's best friend", Suha yanks Yassir off his life support machines. They give out a great WHHHEEE sound. She cheerfully turns them all off with a happy little dance step, then she stuffs Yassir into a closet---along with the unconscious French doctor.)

Pierre: But---but---what if this doesn't work?

Suha: (Stuffing him into Arafat's bed and pulling off his gas mask.) It will work, my little kamquat! We need those Swiss Bank Account numbers, and I want to know where the Horrible Red Binder is! It's possible one of his visitors knows they're location! You just pretend you're my late hubby, and weasel it out of them!

Pierre: But. . .

Suha: Shhh, someone's coming!

(She begins weeping dramatically, blowing her nose through her gas mask into a giant polka-dot hankie. A squad of Arafat's strapping young bodyguards enter, all sobbing, hugging and kissing each other, and telling each other to be brave.)

Suha: GET OUTA HERE YA MUGS!

(She drives them out, beating them over the head with a bed pan.)

Suha: THE NERVE OF THOSE GUYS!

Pierre: Someone else is coming!

Suha: Quick! Back into bed!

(Pierre hops back into the bed. Suha begins weeping again. The door opens, and Jacues Chirac enters, also wearing a gas mask and weeping into a polka-dot hankie.)

TO BE CONTINUED!!!

Ding-Dong! the witch is dead

Ding-Dong! the wicked witch is dead

Wake up you sleepyhead

Wake up! the wicked witch is dead

He's gone where the goblins go
Below, below, below
Yo ho! let's open up and sing
And ring the bells out

Ding-dong! the merry-o
Sing it high
Sing it low
Let them know the wicked witch is dead

As mayor of the Paris city
In the county of the land of France
I welcome you most regally
But we've got to verify it legally
To see - to see
If he - if he
Is morally, ethically, spiritually, physically, positively, absolutely, undeniably and reliably dead ~~~

...

As coroner, upon a whim
I thoroughly examined him
And he's not only merely dead
He's really, most sincerely dead

- Then this is a day of independence!
- For all the Jews, and their descendants!
- If any.
-
- Yes, let the joyous news be spread!
- The wicked old witch at last is dead!
- Yay!

Ding-dong! the witch is dead
Which old witch?

Another list of his great achievements.

My personal favorite:

In 1974, Arafat, wearing a gun holster on his hip, addressed the United Nations General Assembly. This speech indicated an acceptance by the world body that the PLO was the sole legitimate representative of the Palestinians, while Arafat continued to make clear that he believed violence was the path to a Palestinian state.

Mr. Pol,

We agree on the time of death.

The wait---Suha was making deals for her monthly allowance, the 'leftovers' in Pali had to fight over who gets what and then the funeral plans had to be made.
Then they had to clean out that DUMP where he was, ah,
living (Don't Palestinians clean..ever?)so they could dig a grave and truck in dirt from Jerusalem (that one makes me angry--use your own dirt)
So much to do, so little time.

Why it's OK for the Chosen to celebrate.

Rabbi Shlomo Aviner:

It's true that G-d told the angels not to sing when the Egyptians were drowning in the Red Sea - but the Children of Israel did sing! We, too, are not angels - just as the Rabbi of Pisetzna, Rabbi Kalman Kalonymus Shapira, wrote during the Holocaust: 'Did an angel ever get hit? Did an angel ever get murdered? Did an angel ever get humiliated? We did! In Egypt, the angels didn't suffer - so they don't have to sing [afterwards]. But we did suffer, [and that's why we sang]...' For Arafat we say, 'when the wicked perish, there is jubilation.'"

Some idiot in jail gets a quote in the AFP? Go figure!

"Words cannot express the deep sorrow that we feel at the passing of our leader, the leader of the nation, president Arafat," Barghuti said Thursday in a statement conveyed to AFP by one of his lawyers. "It's important to hold on to the national principles and values that were laid down by the martyred leader who has spent all his life implementing. We must retain our national unity, our commitment to the intifada and our commitment to real democracy and the establishment of law and order." Barghuti, the man regarded as the inspiration behind the Palestinian uprising, or intifada, was handed five life terms for murder by an Israeli court on June 6.

Nice that his matronly, double-chinned wife was able to skim a cool $60 million off of the funds he'd embezzled over the years from all the "humanitarian aid" earmarked for Palestinians. Little wonder that she insisted that the drooling old murderer be shipped to France to die, where women - even those as hideous and manipulative as she - have legal standing, rather than to Jordan or Egypt, where the tenets of the Religion of Peace™ would have required her to haul her fat arse off to the side, while his affairs were settled by other unwashed would-be tyrants.

It is a pity to know that he didn't go on to his deserved damnation after months of unrelenting agony.

However, and more importantly to the future of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict: Whither the dreaded, awful, and all-powerful RED BINDER???

210 speedster1  Thu, Nov 11, 2004 6:24:47am

Got this from a client of mine:

"Yassir Arafat, a hero of oppressed people all over the world, has departed this mortal coil. Yassir was best known for his unwavering commitment to fighting the evil and powerful army of Israel's school children. He bravely fought these vile rugrats in the halls of their schools and the mobile assault vehicles (school busses) they utilized against the Palestinian people. When the Israelis began playing dirty and armed their school teachers, Yassir was not deterred. He bravely took the fight to those most powerful bastions of Israeli military might, playgrounds, pizza parlors, nursing homes, and yes, even the most fortified of Israeli military compounds...McDonalds. Yassir was never daunted by the power and ferocity of those he attacked. Let us not forget the terrible might of Israel's pregnant women, the unmatched anger and tenacity of the Israeli elderly, and those outright diabolical Israeli children who seemed to inexplicably populate every playground and daycare Yassir came across. But let us not forget Yassir's more gentle side. Even though the Jordanians slaughtered hundreds of thousands of Palestinians, Yassir never had so much as a cross word for them-instead focusing on his true enemy, those dastardly Israelis who kept retaliating against Palestinian military targets when Jewish kids were killed...those bastards. When confronted with the dilemma of how to regain Palestinian lands, did he get greedy and go after the 92% that was under Jordan's control? No sir. Yassir was content with pursuing the 8% that those ill tempered Israelis were hoarding. Yes, Yassir was truly a man to be looked up to, in deed if not in actual height.

Good-bye brave soldier, hopefully tonight some demon has made you his bitch in Hell. Squeal like a pig you feckless pile of crap..."

Pretty much sums up how I feel today.

Although many on LGF understand the consequences of what is going on in Israel, many do not. So here is a list of things you should know and expect in the coming months.

1. Abu Abbas is a holocaust denier and a close associate of Arafart for over 40 yrs. He was also involved in planning the Munich Olympic massacre. don't look for him to be a 'moderate.'

2. M. Dahlan is a terrorist gangster, he has been involved in planning terrorist attacks but has been good at hiding his involvement. Not a Moderate.

3. The constant media blitz demonizing Jews has not slowed up for a minute. Pals are constantly encouraged to kill Jews. Nothing has changed.

4. No one has done anything about Hamas, et all, and they have no plans on doing so. Abbas has offered Hamas a place in any new government. We all know how tolerant Hamas is.

5. None of the sticking points in the 2000 negotiations have changed. The right of return has been stated as an unchangeable demand.

6. The PA is still dedicated to Israel's destruction as per their charter which contrary to popular belief has never been changed.

7. All maps in Arab countries and the PA do not show Israel, only "Palestine." That will never change.

8 Allready, the US is calling on Israel to make a "goodwill gesture" by releasing PA prisoners. There will be more such demands of Israel, none for the Palestinans. This is the carrot and stick approach, the carrot for the PA and the stick for Israel.

9. Considering the almost unanimous outpouring of support for Arafat and his goals, Israel is in deep trouble from the world leaders.

10. The US will be under intense pressure to force Israel to make concession after conession to get the peace that all the world thinks will now magically appear, even though nothing of the kind will happen.

2005 will be a bad year for Israel.

ARAFAT'S REAL LEGACY

In its lead editorial yesterday, the Jerusalem Post noted, "By holding hostage and ultimately killing hundreds of Russian schoolchildren, Chechen terrorists have managed to set a low not seen since Palestinian terrorists took over a school in Maalot in 1974."

On May 15 that year, the date corresponding to the 26th anniversary of Israel's independence, terrorists based in Lebanon infiltrated into Israel and stormed a high school in the northern town of Maalot. The terrorists, later identified as members of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP), immediately killed a security guard and some of the children. Other children and teaches were held as hostages as the terrorists pressed for the release of Arab prisoners from Israeli prisons.

The Knesset met in an emergency session and a decision was reached to negotiate with the terrorists, but they refused to extend their deadline. Late in the afternoon, an elite unit from the Golani Brigade stormed the building and managed to kill all the terrorists, but not before they used guns and explosives to kill some of their hostages. A total of 26 Israelis were killed and more than 60 people were wounded in what became known as the Maalot Massacre.

There is an undeniable all- pervasive darkness in this world, when the majoroty of world leaders sing the praises of one of the most evil men on earth.

This man, who is directly responsible for the death of tens of thousands, and is personally the cause for the impoverishment of the Palestinian people.
He is the author of an indoctrination program that has brought a generation of children into the worship of a cult of blood and death.

Personally, he represented everything that is the worst in humanity.
He was a pedophile, a thief, a kidnapper and a mass murderer. He was greedy, power hungry, licentious indifferent to suffering he purveyed throughout the world.

He was evil in every sense of the meaning of the word.
Yet today, when there should have been world renouned rejoicing upon news of his demise...He instead, has been praised, by secular and religious leaders through out the world.

This response is a reflection upon the leadership and the people of this world.

There is a darkness and it is undeniable...

“Contacts have started with the Palestinians and the Israelis, it is too early to see what will be the next step,” EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana said. “The European Union is going to work without delay to see how we can give an impulse to the peace process.”

After contacts overnight with international leaders, Solana said in Brussels that he found consensus on the need for a fresh push for peace between Israel and the Palestinians.

“We will do all we can to accelerate the peace process,” he said. “I have no doubt that the international community as a whole has to make an effort to bring to an end the suffering for the people of Palestine.”

Solana was flying to Cairo today for Arafat’s funeral. Foreign Secretary Jack Straw is expected to represent Britain.

He and other leading EU officials pledged support to the Palestinian Authority as it seeks to make the transition to a new post-Arafat leadership.

In the wake of Arafat’s death, EU officials said the international community should work with increased determination to revive the “road map” peace plan which envisions an end to violence and the creation of a Palestinian state.

“The best tribute to President Arafat’s memory will be to intensify our efforts to establish a peaceful and viable state of Palestine as foreseen by the road map,” Solana said.

The stalled peace plan is sponsored by the EU, the US, Russia and the UN.

If one must fire into the air, do it the right way. Use blanks, or handloads crafted with hard wax bullets. If using the latter, semi-automatic feeding might be a problem, and dropping the bolt on a manually chambered round could result in extractor damage or a slam fire, so be careful. Remember, when reveling in the death of a deviant psychopathic murderer, revel responsibly. :)

It's satisfying to contemplate the fact that more than a few terrorist nimrods have split their own skulls, or those of their compatriots, with thusly fired bullets, on their return voyage to zero potential energy.

I think I'll just wave my AK-47 in the air, swig some Mogan David, and let loose a few ulululululululs.

The above is not really gun handling advise. Guns are bad and should never be touched by anyone, accept police, soldiers, and agents of the IRS and USDA.

For me...celebrating the death of Arafat isnt what I, myself am going to do. Im gonna spend my time reminding people of the REAL STORY...mired in blood of innocents and VICTIMS.

I am so very happy that Arafat is dead but I'm mostly sad today, thinking about how many innocent lives were cruelly taken by him. I knew it was coming but I'm horrified by how the world is eulogizing such an evil man. They speak of him with respect that we know he doesn't deserve.

Adapting the words of Churchill after El Alamein—

This is not the end. God willing, it is not even the end of the beginning. But it is, perhaps, the beginning of the end.

What outrages me more than anything is that the media and government spokespersons speak of "Palestinian aspirations" and the "Palestinian cause" as statehood. The Palestinian Arabs have rejected statehood from 1948 up until today. Most notably, Arafat did not squander an opportunity for statehood at Camp David; he spurned it.

Surely by now the burden is on the Palestinian Arabs to demonstrate by their ACTIONS that they aspire to anything less than the elimination of the Zionist entity.

#257 zulubaby,

I am so very happy that Arafat is dead but I'm mostly sad today, thinking about how many innocent lives were cruelly taken by him.

And that's exactly where the happiness comes from! We do not celebrate death like the Palestinimals who dance in the streets at the news of the brutal murder of Israelis. We are actually celebrating LIFE here because we all know very well that the death of a murderer means that he will never murder again.

Chirac: (Blowing his nose lustily.) Baaawww!

(He sits beside the bed. Pierre, pretending to be Arafat, tries to kiss his hand. Chirac pulls it away.)

Suha: (Whispering to Pierre, from behind the screen) The bank accounts! Ask him about the bank accounts!

Pierre: (To Chirac) My old friend. . .

(Chirac blows his nose loudly again.)

Pierre: My old, dear friend, I have something ask you. . .

Chirac: And I have something to ask you, mon ami!

Pierre: Oh, anything old friend, ask my anything you like!

Suha: (Whispering) Quit beating around the bush! Get those Swiss numbers!

Chirac: I want to know. . . I have to know. . .I MUST know. . .

Pierre: Yes, old comrade?

(He tries to kiss Chirac's hand again. Chirac snatches it away, and scrubs it with a baby wipe.)

Chirac: I really, really, do have to know. . .

Pierre: Yes?

(He tries to kiss Chirac's hand a third time. Chirac smacks him.)

Pierre: (Gasping) My time is short! Ask your question, and then you can tell me. . .

Chirac: (Whispering behind his hand) Where is ze red binder? And ze Swiss Accounts, what are zair numbers? You can tell me, mon ami! Ze coast is clear! Suha is gone!

Suha: You stinky French rat! Those accounts are MINE!

(She comes out from behind the screen, and bashes him over the head with a bed pan. He falls unconscious. Suddenly the door flies open, and a squad of Arafat's strapping young body guards, weeping and kissing and telling each other to be brave come storming in, led by Jimmy Carter.)

Suha: I TOLD YOU (*&%^%&&'s TO GET OUTA HERE!

(She chases them out of the room, waving the bed pan. Pierre shoves Chirac into the broom closet, where Arafat's corpse and an unconscious French doctor have already been stowed.)

Suha: (Peeking out the door of the hospital room) Oh no!

(She slams the door shut, leaning against it, fanning herself with the end of her magenta boa.)

Suha: Here comes---HANAN ASHWARI!

(CP) - Prime Minister Paul Martin says Yasser Arafat "personified the Palestinian people's struggle" and called on Palestinians and others in the Mideast "to renew their commitment to peace" in the wake of the PLO leader's death.
"I offer on behalf of Canada, my condolences and sympathy to the family of chairman Arafat, as well as all Palestinians," Martin said in a statement Thursday, hours after Arafat died in a Paris hospital.
"Chairman Arafat's influence on regional and global events has been undeniable. While comprehensive peace between Israelis and Palestinians was never attained in his lifetime, chairman Arafat's efforts, along with those of Yitzhak Rabin and Shimon Peres, were recognized in 1994 with the Nobel Peace Prize."

Arafat the monster

YASSER ARAFAT died at age 75, lying in bed surrounded by familiar faces. He left this world peacefully, unlike the thousands of victims he sent to early graves.
In a better world, the PLO chief would have met his end on a gallows, hanged for mass murder much as the Nazi chiefs were hanged at Nuremberg. In a better world, the French president would not have paid a visit to the bedside of such a monster. In a better world, George Bush would not have said, on hearing the first reports that Arafat had died, "God bless his soul."

The Arafat I Knew
He hasn't changed since his days as a KGB-backed terrorist.
BY ION MIHAI PACEPA, the highest ranking intelligence officer ever to have defected from the former Soviet bloc.

The KGB's Man
By ION MIHAI PACEPA
September 22, 2003

And one more thing. It is clear Arafat died of AIDS. The MSM will of course not even raise the possibility, b/c they know it would do wonders to discredit him in the gay-hating Arab/Muslim world.

AP actually went out on a limb to say this:
"Zoning in on a diagnosis for Arafat should be a fairly straightforward task, medical experts say. Tests can diagnose the majority of diseases within 48 hours. Since no diagnosis has been revealed, the most likely explanation, experts say, is that doctors know what's wrong but aren't being allowed to disclose it. "
But of course no mention of the A-word in a laundry list of possible ailments.

So let me contribute this:

1978 conversation between Constantin Munteaunu, a general assigned to teach Arafat and the PLO techniques to deceive the West into granting the organization recognition, and Lt.-Gen. Ion Pacepa, the deputy chief of Romania's intelligence service under Communist dictator Nicolae Ceausescu, recounted in "Red Horizons," Pacepa's memoirs, published in 1987:

"I just called the microphone monitoring center to ask about the 'Fedayee,'" Arafat's code name, explained Munteaunu. "After the meeting with the Comrade, he went directly to the guest house and had dinner. At this very moment, the 'Fedayee' is in his bedroom making love to his bodyguard. The one I knew was his latest lover. He's playing tiger again. The officer monitoring his microphones connected me live with the bedroom, and the squawling almost broke my eardrums. Arafat was roaring like a tiger, and his lover yelping like a hyena."

"[Arafat] did not do enough to curb terrorism" isn't exactly the truth, though. Not by light years.

Arafat bought and paid for terrorism that he ordered himself.

Even the press isn't hiding the fact anymore that the Al-Aksa Martyrs Brigade is the PLO/Fatah/PA's "military wing."

World leaders can't openly call Arafat a filthy little dirtbag mass-murderer, although it's absolutely true (and kind, even.)

So Bush made a wish on Arafat's soul. He was avoiding saying anything better or worse about Arafat, which was probably what he felt was best to do.

G-d will judge Arafat.

While your anger is understandable, you forget that Bush is Christian and in his Religion G*d is supposed to forgive everybody (on the long "run").

You can disagree with this Religion but you can't ask to a Reborn Christian to violate the main point of his creed.

The Catholics reserve the right (for the Church) to declare someone UNforgivable ( for example, the Pope has declared Hitler "a presence of the Beast in history"), but , again, Bush is not Catholic.

As Dante's description of the world's most heinous ciminals of his time, Arafart did not in fact have a soul left. Once he crossed the threshold of irredemable evil (can't say when that is myself, but surely it happened in the last 20-.40 years) his soul went into eternal torment and his body was animated by a demon from Hell itself.

I'd believe that before I'd believe the Fish had a soul left to lose.

303 veebee  Thu, Nov 11, 2004 9:17:38am

I am very happy because this man is gone. True, there are many Arab/Islamic terrorists, Arafish is not the first, he's not the last. But very few of them had "accomplished" so much. A personality like Arafish is very hard to replace. Hopefully, without him "palestinian cause" will die off.

I'm also happy he died such an unglamorous death. Part of his appeal was his incredibly good luck -- he managed to survive an air crush, assassinations, etc. I'm glad at the end he was nothing but a stinky pile of death. I'm glad an exceptionally ugly woman had control of his body.

Arafat was a pedophile who "initiated" young boys into his club sexually, just as he was initiated by older terrorists when he was a boy.

It's not only incredibly common in the Arab world for men and boys to be going at it, but it's a reason why AIDS in growing in the Arab world.

The women are covered from head to toe, so the men boink each other. They don't speak openly about it being ok, but it's a very common practice in their world.

Arafat molested little boys and had orgies with his bodyguards. The so-called Palestinians have known this all along (for decades at least.) If you see certain interviews among those so-called Palestinians who didn't like him, they would bring up the idea that "He really isn't a man."

CowardKerry, think of the man-man sex in the Arab world as being a "prison mentality."

Most men who engage in sex with other men in prisons don't consider themselves to be gay. They just go for sex where they can get it. In prison, only other men are available.

It's similar in the Arab world. Most men who have sex with other men don't consider themselves to be gay. They just go where they can get it, and if it's available from other men then that's where it happens.

When our forces were fighting the Taliban, they picked up some radio messages where commanders were yelling at some of their soldiers to stop boinking each other and get ready to fight.

The man-woman relationship is out of whack due to the way women are treated in such cultures (covered from head to toe, etc.) so the man-man relationship ends up being out of whack, too.

Carnac the Magnificent (holding envelope to this forehead): Yasser Arafat.

Ed McMahon: Yasser Arafat.

Carnac tears off end of envelope and extracts paper:

Vickie,
In Judaism when one hears of a death, one says Baruch Dayan Emmet, Blessed is the True Judge. This is said for anyone's death, whether they lived a live of righteousness or were wickedly evil.

Comparably, a Christian would say something like "God bless his soul", as Bush did, to acknowledge someone's passing, be they good or evil.

Absent any statements complimentary to the departed, my Christian friends tell me "bless his soul" is the polite way to say "It's about flipping time the rectal orifice is dead".

As others have pointed out, the POTUS is not always free to speak his mind. Remember what happened when he called Adam Clymer, a reporter, an "asshole"?

RC neo - Fortunately the president of austalia is not in charge of the worlds only super-power. big difference.

Why 'fortunately'? He seems a good leader.

And if you're in charge of the world's only super-power, surely you are in a better position to tell the truth than anyone else, simply because you have more power than they do!

Bush wasnt worried about his RELIGION when he told the world..."Either you are with us or against us"..or words to that effect. He identified OSL (child of Arafat) as EVIL and would havent Blessed His Soul. Good is Good...Evil is Evil...thats all she wrote. OR...is it different when it comes to Jews? Maaybe so. And Kerry has nothing to do with this now. WHEN he opens his mouth..and says something as inappropriate as Bush...Ill criticize HIM as well.

Wait a minute now..HOW IS IT...that there is going to be a Palistinian State acknowledeged by the US. There are no Palistinians and there is now or never WAS a Palistinian State. Why is my Country supporting the Establishment of this Terror State after 30 years of promising NOT TO?

Zulu: Gotya...Actually Arafat is a murderer..Israel got threatened OUT of taking care of him long ago. Israel should have rubbed him out...long ago. Like you say..the world would have been better for it.

Israel-hating John Snow recently said he was thinking of retring from biased journalism and getting a job in the biased UN instead. Should feel at home with the anti-semitism-anti-Zionism there.

1ST & FORMOST I APPOLOGIZE FOR "SCREAMING"

2ND, I'M SORRY IF THIS HAS ALREADY BEEN MENTIONED...

3rd, I APPOLOGIZE FOR POSTING THIS IN DIFFERENT THREADS. (it's just that I think it's THAT important)

Instead of just discussing the issue of Arafats "Legacy" on LGF & other "Amen corners", and voicing our opinions together, that Arafat is a jackass, and that the world should just stop whitewashing his history:

WE MUST BE PROACTIVE ON THIS!!!

I SUGGEST: AS i WILL DO IT MYSELF HERE IN L.A. (BEV HILLS ADJ. AREA)

THAT WE ALL PRINT OUT "ARAFATS REAL HISTORY OF TERRORISM"...(& add anything necessary) COPY IT, & DISTRUBUTE IT THROUGHT OUR CITIES.
---you can get "Arafats History" from LGF or [Link: www.camera.org.,...] etc.

SUGGESTIONS: PUT IT INTO "LA WEEKLY" (& other newspaper) STACKS, OR INDIVIDUAL "LA WEEKLYS", or other newspapers, DROP IT OFF @ BUS STOPS, RESTAURANTS, MOVIE THEATRES, HAND IT OUT ON 3RD STREET, (or your local highly populated equivalent,) BRING IT ALONG EVERYWHERE YOU GO & LEAVE ONE COPY OF IT THERE, "POST" IT TO EVERY WEBSITE YOU CAN FIND, ETC.

TARGET INIDIVIDUALS WHO MIGHT NOT REALLY KNOW ARAFATS HISTORY.

If we don't do it ourselves...we sure as g-d know that noone else is going to do it for us. fURTHERMORE, if Arafat is "remembered" as anything other than the TERRORIST that he is, we have only ourselves to blame if we DO NOTHING.

Every sane individual KNOWS the fish was a scumbag terrorist. The only people you will be trying to convince otherwise are the MSM and other terrorists. That would be a futile waste of time in my opinion. Boycott the messengers.

332 rightasrain  Thu, Nov 11, 2004 10:00:21am

Vickie, there isn't a "Palestinian state" yet. Bush is telling the so-called Palestinians that they have to end terrorism in order to get a state (which is like telling them that they have to stop being Arabs to get a state.)

Bush is the best candidate we had to offer for helping Israel in this election and 51% of us delivered him. Kerry would be in the process of selling Israel out to Europe as we speak if he'd been elected (and everyone here knows it.)

Rather than trying to rip the right into shreds (which doesn't help America or Israel) by becoming enraged at every comment Bush makes (or at least the ones that might show that he isn't as right wing as our favorite rightwing bloggers) is counter-productive.

If we fall apart on the right, power will return to the left, which is not what any of us wants.

So ease up, please.

Absent any statements complimentary to the departed, my Christian friends tell me "bless his soul" is the polite way to say "It's about flipping time the rectal orifice is dead".

Ronnie Schreiber ,

You are right---

G-D bless his soul or G-D have mercy on his soul is a way of refraining from speaking ill of the dead. Judgement and damnation is reserved for the Lord.

G-D rest his soul is more of blessing---implying may he have peace with G-D.

However, because of the ambiguity of the phrase, I wish Bush had termed it differently.
I think he was caught off guard, and responded with this automatic, non-commital response.

Then again, that still doesn't excuse him from referring to Allah as the "same G-D" and Islam as a "peaceful religion.

334 vickie  Thu, Nov 11, 2004 10:04:08am

Listen Kerry..Ill GET OVER IT when it is appropriate to get over it which is NOT NOW...when these "attitudes" towards our concerns stop and when WE are NOT asked to accept situations and attitudes that OTHERS would never accept. Im not and we are not Dhimini to anyone. Better get that straight *right now.

Sorry I felt it necessary to criticize your? Man? Too fucking bad. (guess Im a closet..Kerry Supporter? or closet Democrat? NO actually)

"Every sane..."

I wish you were right (& you obviously don't live in Los Angeles or San Francisco).

However, it wouldn't be a "waste of time". The reason EVERYONE isn't celebrating in the streets is b/c they don't know the TRUTH about Arafat.

Furthermore, you conclusion is logically sound but factually WRONG.

Yes, getting the MSM to realize the truth is definately an important aspect of getting "the message" out...& if possible, probably MORE important than leaving fliers etc. However, let's be realistic here...THE MSM isn't going to "get it".

Thus, we are forced to directly contact the "common folk" ourselves.

I mean look: LGF is a perfect example of what i am saying.

338 vickie  Thu, Nov 11, 2004 10:09:26am

fc: "G-d have Mercy on his soul"...would have been the more appropriate thing to say in my opinion. Mercy ...yes..Bless...NO. (Mercy fits this situation to a tee)

Mercy etc...seems to me equivalent to what Jews might say in their prayers...Just not BLESS. Seems wrong and Im not the ONLY person...who thought so. Christians and Jews, Dems and Repubs.. thought the same here.

339 Solly  Thu, Nov 11, 2004 10:12:15am

All right, so the President gave an invocation of Christian mercy for a dastard's soul. It could also be interpreted as a recognition that God will judge Arafat's soul.

However, it should be noted that President Bush refused Arafat a place at the negotiation table, making it quite clear that no meaningful progress could be expected as long as the Palestinians continued to present this lying, murderous tyrant as their supreme spokesman.

That position never wavered, and - lo and behold! - the incidence of homicide bombings decreased, construction of the security fence continues apace, and there has as yet been no external international pressure applied to Israel to allow Arafat's rotting corpse to desecrate Jerusalem's soil.

The President could afford a moment of mercy or magnanimity, since he had rendered Arafat irrelevent to the future discourse, and allowed Israel to render him ineffective in terrorizing the Israeli people. Arafat was a shadow of his former self - a paper tiger, (or fish, I suppose). His poisonous influence was the primary roadblock to any progress in resolving the conflict, and now he is no more.

Do you really believe that President Bush would disagree with Howard's assertion that history will judge Arafat harshly? Bush's decisive and unwavering marginalizing of Arafat over the last 4 years helped history get a headstart on that judgment.

340 vickie  Thu, Nov 11, 2004 10:12:43am

Don't sweat the "peace process" too much. Think about it rationally for a moment.

What happens when the newly-formed "Palestinian" State becomes a launching point for terrorist attacks against Israel? Then Israel will be in a state of war, as always. Israel will be justified, as it is now, in launching military strikes into the new state, and justified in capturing the territory the attacks are coming from.

In other words, we will be looking at the REoccupied territories if the Paleostinians don't get their heads screwed on straight.

342 exredtory  Thu, Nov 11, 2004 10:13:18am

Canadian Broadcasting Corp. is in full fawn over Arafat - the talking head on Newsworld, a blow-dry boy called David Gray actually referred to Arafat wearing "a freedom fighter's pistol" at the UN, and how impressed he was by Arafat's "charisma" one time he met him. Then he had on a Palestinian guest to recite all the grievances, unchallenged. I haven't seen and Israeli guest yet, but the CBC's report of world reaction introduced an Israel cabinet minister's comments on Arafat's terrorist toll and lack of regret at his death as "smug satisfaction."
Then blow-dry boy had on Ann Medina, who had interviewed Arafat a number of times. They both skated around the truth, but one might have inferred from her guarded comments about him, that she might have had some inkling that Arafat was a psychopath.

343 CowardKerry  Thu, Nov 11, 2004 10:16:13am

He's only "officially" been dead less than a day, it is a bit early to be saying people are beating a dead horse here. People are going to vent, especially when most of the world leaders are singing the dead terrorist's praises. I think Bush’s statements were more neutral than most, but I am disappointed that he didn’t see fit to speak the truth as PM Howard did.

Great comments!

Bush helped sideline Arafat in the last years of his murderous dirtbag fish-life, and this has helped Israel.

There will be no PLO state unless the so-called Palestinians give up terrorism on their own (which is truly like asking them to stop being Arabs.)

The one thing we can't afford to do is to self-destruct on the right while we are experiencing victories that will help both America and Israel. We have to accept victory with some grace here and refrain from going nuts every time Bush says something that we wouldn't say ourselves. (Most of us know this already, thankfully.)

Thanks, Solly!

#351 freedomsound -
I believe that that is probably the way that President Bush learned things in his church, that a blessing would ion the surface appear to be greater than peace. The ol' "G-d Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" thing is something that would come to mind in the more liberal Protestant churches like he attends.
However, in Hebrew, Isaiah 26:3 describes "perfect peace" - "shalom shalom" for the Jews (correct me if I'm wrong) - and the peace of Jerusalem, "shaloo shalom Y'rushalem" (Psalm 122:6) is the endtime blessing for this World.
So there's a bit of a disconnect between the way many Christians see things and the way Jews do.

.While your anger is understandable, you forget that Bush is Christian and in his Religion G*d is supposed to forgive everybody (on the long "run").
Actually, God doesn't have to forgive the unrepentant. People tend to forget that He is perfectly just, as well as merciful.

Only God knows the final disposition of anyone's soul, He alone knows if they sent themselves to Hell, or not. Though we can make very, very educated guesses about the probability and certainly judge the consequences of their actions.

I'm always very grateful that stupid diplomatic statements by Vatican City officials (and we're all agreed that Novarro-Wells is a doofus, right?) are not the same thing as official Catholic doctrine.

Why would I link to a DEC report about the leasing of land belonging to the State of New York for oil and natural gas production?

I don't know, but there are some nice pictures in the appendix showing how petroleum exploration can happen in harmony with the natural beauty of upstate New York.

The cool news is that the Ordivician Trenton-Black River carbonate (dolomite) trend, which underlies much of the eastern US and Canada from Tennessee to West Virginia, up to Michigan and New York and into parts of Ontario and Quebec, and maybe even Newfoundland, can now be exploited thanks to modern advancements in 3-D seismic technology.

Trenton-Black River wells in New York have been coming in at nearly Texas Gulf Coast gas rates, sometimes over 5 MMcfpd. Although there were only 50 T-BR wells in NY, out of a total of almost 6,000 gas wells, the T-BR accounted for 2/3 of NY's 2003 production of 36 Bcf.
