Wouldn't it be cool if Romney staggered in holding a half-empty bottle of Jack Daniels, hair wild, no tie.
You know, if he did that I would have no choice but to vote for him.

And politifact blows another little chuck of their credibility off.
Neither Obama nor his health care law literally cut funding from the Medicare program’s budget. Rather, the health care law instituted a number of changes to try to bring down future health care costs in the program.
They made changes to try to lower costs. Spending wasn't touched. What was done was to lower future costs. Nothing was cut.
The weird part is when Politifact rates it half-true and then goes on and on about how incredibly misleading it is.
I guess, in a way, it proves a philosophical point-- half-truths are in a way bigger lies than absolute fabrications.

This is why you don't trust people who tell you Mitt's entire plan is based on stupid zingers. He's doing well, much better than I expected. He may still lose this debate but he understands how airplane windows work, he's not a sociaopath, compulsive liar, retard, moron, etc. I'm still not voting for him but it looks like his debate prep is paying off.
Umm, I think he doesn't understand why airplane windows DON'T OPEN...now matter how good he does in a practiced reality tv show (i.e. debate)

Actually I'm not a "lefty," I'm a moderate. I've voted Republican and Democrat. Last election, I actually voted for McCain. I haven't been in a coma the last four years, and what I've seen is a an intelligent, thoughtful and hard-working President who is not driven by ideology and who seeks and proposes real solutions, and who has accomplished a great deal despite having to work with a hostile, obstructionist Congress for most of his term. He's also a strong President who's made us safer by improving our relations with much of the rest of the world and taking out many top members of al-Qaeda, including Osama bin Laden.
If you can provide facts and evidence to back up your assertion that Obama is a "useless, incompetent phoney," I'll be happy to consider them. However, I will counter with an extremely long list of Obama's accomplishments and I will expect you to read them.

The Corporate Media covered the last election also, in exactly the same way. All the better pollsters expect this election to get closer. Most say that odds of Romney overcoming his deficit in the electoral college races are long.
Consider that you're watching the debate with fear of Obama doing poorly and Romney doing well. That affects your conclusions about how it's going. My guess is that your emotional investment might lead you to be overly concerned about any degree to which the media may portray Romney as coming off looking better. But you are a decided voter - as are most folks. What matters is how will the relatively few who aren't already decided judge this debate. I doubt that many are going to be swayed by how this debate is covered in the media. (And further, my guess is that the media will not cover this debate as being a decisive victory one way or the other, anyway).

re: #614 Barflytom
Obamacare passed without a single Republican vote, and the dems had 60 votes in the senate at the time. Are you disputing that ?
Huh? When did I say I was disputing that? I am disputing your fucking LIE that the Democrats at a supermajority for two years. What does Obamacare have to do with that?

re: #585 Barflytom
The Democrats had complete control of congress for his first two years, including a fillibuster-proof majority in the senate. He seems to have made a point of appeasing enemies and pissing off allies as far as foreign relations go. He's a phoney because he's obviously a hard left idealogue trying to pretend to be a "moderate" in order to get elected.
I bet 6th grade was the worst 3 years of your life.
