Pamela Geller’s Astounding Birth Certificate Heat Map Analysis (or, Science!)

Hate monger Pamela Geller embraces her Birther roots
Wingnuts • Views: 43,211

It’s been a great week for monumental right wing blogosphere fails, and it looks like they’re just getting warmed up.

For a while there, Pamela “Shrieking Harpy” Geller was trying to minimize her contribution to the Idiotic Conspiracy Theory of All Time known as Birtherism. But Geller is finally comfortable with taking credit for the whole shebang, and today she did just that and went full-on Birther. Watch out, Orly Taitz:

A NEW TWIST IN OBAMA BIRTH CERTIFICATE MYSTERY! - Atlas Shrugs

I’ve been trying to finish this post for 20 minutes, but every time I look at her astounding heat map analysis that cracks the case wide open, I start snickering uncontrollably and lose my train of thought.

Atlas broke the story of the forgery of Obama’s COLB (certification of live birth), a story I covered beginning in May 2008. I never pretended to know what was on the vault copy that Obama spent millions to hide; I just ran the irrefutable analysis that what Obama presented to the American people was a “horrible forgery.”

We could speculate. Maybe it was the name of his father. His religion. His place of birth. Maybe, maybe, maybe. All speculation.

What was most egregious was the propaganda O-media refusing to ask these questions while running with any lie about Bush’s documentation. The enemedia [sic] went so far as to produce forged documents concerning President Bush’s Air National Guard service (Rathergate). Imagine that — the media’s mad obsession with the minutiae of every detail of every document of Bush’s life (even the most mundane), but not one mainstream query as to why the good folks of America were forbidden from viewing Obama’s birth certificate long form. Astonishing.

There is clearly something on that form that Obama does not want the American people to see. Period. Pbama [sic] must present if he is to run for re-election, should he now?

Occam's Razor: FAIL.

Did she do the heat map "analysis" on a .GIF or .PNG file? It's important to know, because .GIF files have different heat signatures which have been known to throw off the instrumentation of certain birth certifinometers.

Well, no matter the height.. it's still not towering over Ground Zero. It wont even be the tallest building on its own block - and it certainly wont be taller than the office towers at Ground Zero. The Freedom Tower (1WTC) is already closing in on 60 stories (if not more)... that would be the tower that is at least 4x taller than the planned Cordoba House - and the Freedom Tower is pretty much half its full office tower height (not counting the antenna that will bring it to 1,776 feet).

Image Error Level Analysis is a tool that creates a heat map-like image out of a JPEG that shows you the highest points of compression. Excessively Photoshopped images may contain JPEG parts that have been saved over and over again. This little tool will, in theory, detect those parts and highlight them for you. Personally, I haven't had much luck and it seemed to think my Zuckerberg makeover was generally less altered (as best as I can interpret the results) but your mileage may vary.

Sheares was alive and healthy when Wright took over the job.

SHEILA BAUGH. An Arkansas realtor, not a D.C. madam.
BRIAN GORING. There really is a Brian Goring who’s a Chicago attorney, but he’s still alive, and no lawyer by that name worked for Tony Rezko.

OMG. I didn't even know about the Bush one either, but these death lists are hilarious and the people who make them are serious! These were my favorites for Obama

LAWSHAWNA MARTIN- 26 year old mother of five, a Cabrini Green resident with a history of substance abuse. Told two of her co-workers at the Blue Peppermint Gentleman's Club that she would have to quit work because she was pregnant again. Strongly implied that the "baby daddy" was Barack Obama. The next week, she was reported missing. No body was ever recovered, but Lawshana has not resurfaced since making those remarks.
Childhood classmate of Barack Obama when he attended a madrassa in Indonesia. Was found with his head cut off in a Jakarta alley way in 1970. Many children at the school attributed Rahardjo's murder to the young Barack Obama. It was likely done as an initiation ritual, since Islam demands that a boy spill another's blood before the age of ten to prove their loyalty to Allah.
MERCEDES HUGLEY, one of Obama's many white, female conquests while at Harvard. Filed sexual assault charges against Obama for date rape in 1990. Because "date rape" was not considered a crime like it is today, she ended up dropping the charges. Two years later, she was found dead of an apparent cocaine overdose.

Yeah, I remember :D But even in the 90's NW clubs still had the sort of high-collar poet goths in equal numbers. I think because the NW has more of a crossover between costumers/crafters and such. We never had a strong enough goth/fetish club scene, just the occasional night once a month or so in Seattle, so basically anyone remotely into the music would be there.

I sometimes wish Obama would say that he was born in Kenya, but one parent was a citizen. So, I AM ELIGIBLE TO BE THE PRESIDENT REGARDLESS OF PROOF OF SITE OF BIRTH. See, this thing about having one parent be a US citizen overules place of birth - that way you idiots can travel while pregnant and not worry about making your kid an illegal alien on the way back home.

Or, maybe he likes letting these idiots look like, well, idiots.

I think your last sentence is possible. I've truthfully never seen a politician benefit so much from the lack of intelligence of his/her opponents. I sometimes wonder if he is really as normal and decent as he seems to be or if he's just winning on that measure by default. I mean when your most ardent critics are Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck and Pamela Gellar...........you win almost every damn time.

I could be mistaken, but does anyone remember any video of that? I thought it was audio only, by one of his supporters. Not to mention why murder someone if the footage is already public?

The only thing that you have to understand is that it's drawn up to paint Obama in the worst possible light possible by people that already see him in the worst light possible.

That and that there are people who will read it and just accept it as 'truth' because they're of the same mindset or are looking for things to convince that they should be of the same mindset.

On the other end of the cooking spectrum (the lowbrow end, that is), i've had a taste for something like a homemade tostada, nothing complicated, just good lean ground beef with taco seasoning, cheese, refried beans, toppings, etc.

I started to brown the ground beef and realized i was out of grated cheese...all i had left was some old smoked gouda. I was worried that the smoky flavor would clash with the mexican vibe.

It turns out that taco seasoning, jalapeños, sour cream, etc. completely overwhelm the cheese. So if you're ever trying to make a mexican dish and you're stuck with old Gouda, fear not...

Try this;

1 Cup Olive Oil
1 stick unsalted butter
12 cloves of garlic, minced
about half a tube of Anchovy paste, the 1.5 oz tube

Heat the oil on the stove on low. Just when it started to bubble, add the minced garlic and the butter, stirring gently occassionally. When the butter was completely melted, add the anchovy paste, stir until its mixed in. Took about 10-15 minutes start to finish.

Keep it heated or it will separate. Serve with some French bread, raw vegetables, like fondue.

Cilantro, minced

melt the butter with the olive oil and saute with the garlic for about 3 minutes, add the wine and water and bring it to a boil. Add the mussels and steam for about 8 minutes, stirring once after 4 minutes. Remove from heat, add the cilantro, and pepper tou your taste, serve over pasta.

It was just on the local news here. They used the term "hot prowl", and I'm like "WTF is that? Oh, you mean home invasion."

Hot prowl sounds stupid. I don't know why they would go with that.

It's a police term/slang use in some areas that I guess the media is picking up on.

"Hot" just means that the criminal is doing the crime with people around.

What was the name of the place, if you don't mind? There was an Italian place there that we use to go to a lot that had great stuffed mushrooms, i just can't remember the name of it. I was able to recreate the recipe had home with some success.

Fiori D'Italia

My god but they had the best food in town, weird location for a restaurant, Two blocks in off of Spenard road on...uhh...Mc Crae(sic)? Hugh place that could seat a couple of hundred people between upstairs and downstairs but hidden in the middle of a residential area. The fettuccine carbonara was to die for and so rich that you couldn't possibly finish it all, and the Prosciutto stuffed chicken breasts...OMG!

One of the appetizers was the beef sauteed mushrooms, that was served in about a 4x8 deep dish, between that and the fresh baked bread you could easily be full before your entree ever arrived, I don't think I ever left there without having to carry out a "doggie" bag.

For anyone ever planning to end up in Anchorage I highly suggest looking them up for dinner while your there, you'll leave stuffed, with leftovers, and very satisfied...

That's exactly what I was thinking. Sounds more like a sex act than a potentially deadly robbery.

And really, home invasions break down like this:

You're super, extra-lucky if all they do is tie you up and take your shit.

[buncha stuff in between]

You're kind of a little lucky if all they do is kill you and take your shit.

That "buncha stuff in between"? That's the stuff made of nightmares, the kind that can scar you for life and permanently destroy your mental/emotional/physical health.

Yes there is.

It's called the Obama Death List

One example: [Link: myrightwingdad.blogspot.com...]

Pulled from that list.

DARSANO RAHARDJO - Childhood classmate of Barack Obama when he attended a madrassa in Indonesia.

Jesus H. Christ! The things these people pull out of their ass!

We must defend America against the foreign "cheese" threat. Sources say that Alinsky likes Gouda, but we know why, the RED wax covering! That is America today, a strong tangy center struggling to be free, but cocooned and smothered by the evil socialist/communist wax of Obama and Alinsky, (Who of course both work for Soros the reddest waxiest one of them all!).

This may sound a little odd, but there's a few pressure points you can message that may get rid of it, or at least take the edge off.

The first is, extend your left arm out, palm up. From your elbow crease, put your other thumb about 1.5" down towards your hand and press down into your arm with your thumb. You'll feel your fingers tingle a bit. Hold for maybe a minute or so.

Or you can try this. Turn your palm up and with the other hand, press your thumb into the fleshy part of your palm by your thumb. Hold a minute or so.

You can also rub the bottom of your big toe. This doesn't work for me as well, but others swear by it.

And he's huge. Seriously, If Obama ever wanted to experience a massive loss of love from black American, cheating on Michelle and by extension his children, would do it. This has been discussed. We'd hate him for it.

For my part, it would be more grief than hate. As things now stand, he's doing a marvelous job at one of the tasks of a president---to set a good example. His wife has more substance than most first ladies, and she's holding up her end magnificently.

Most of that would go down the drain if he fell for this or that doll.

/I'm kidding. The Texas authorities would semi sanely, but some wingnuts would nonetheless do very stupid things.

Anti-science nonsense takes a vacation for here-and-now threats. Texas handled its hurricane Ike much better than Louisiana handled Katrina. There will always be fools who refuse to evacuate, but at least in the case of Texas, they were told in clear and urgent fashion to get out by the governor and the mayor.

One particularly telling point was informing fence-sitters that the 911 lines would NOT BE MANNED and that when the storm hit, no rescue would be attempted. You stay and you're on your own until the storm passes, was the message.

The road net is physically incapable of moving millions of people all in one direction at highway speeds. Still, those who were willing to put up with the inevitable hassles got fair warning in time to act.

Evacuation orders were treated with respect.

Yes, I got it yesterday. I got a sore throat about 4.5 hours later.

Hmmm, I asked the doctor bout that once. He told me most likely I already had the virus and the shot just overwhelmed my immune system and kept it from counteracting the bug from taking over. Not quite that was right but since he said so I assume he knew what he was talking about, being a doctor and all. Take it with a grain of salt, me? I'm no doctor so I don't rightly know if he was just sayin that to make me feel better or not.

We pick on the righties a lot these days but it's important reminder that even though the left is mentally healthier these days they still retain a lot of bad instincts and careless associations.

Too true. This reflexive apologia, or even just dismissal of the man's adoration of the monster by a lot of folks is sickening.

I feel your pain. I've had a mild head cold for the better part of the week. I thought it would be one of those "make ya feel just a little crappy for a bit" type of colds.

Unfortunately, this morning my cold gave it's "We have not yet begun to fight" war cry, and opened a can of whoop ass on my body.

I'm finally over my foray into the Hershey squirts and a fever but just this afternoon I started overheating again. Bleh. I should have been working on a couple of projects too.

I know, that's why I was kidding. Texas actually does understand what those sorts of disasters mean. I was just having some fun.

re: #443 Sergey Romanov

From your last link:

Robeson ignored all of this. It contradicted his worldview, and therefore had to be discounted.

One of the toughest things for any individual to do is after they have spent years investing their mind into an idea/cause to then be open to evidence (real evidence, not arguments) that contradicts their beliefs.

Now, I don't fault Robeson for initially being enamored with communism. And I'm not sure I'd condemn Robeson quite to the extent that the Kos writer does, yet it is also pretty clear from history that Robeson, like many in the West who were looking to communism to solve the wrongs in the US, ignored evidence that the Soviet Union especially under Stalin had turned into a hell-hole.

Robeson's inability to really grasp and then have the courage to denounce what was going on under Stalin is another piece of evidence that it is indeed hard for people to change their worldview once wedded to a belief system.

Unless she can prove his mother wasn't a citizen, the birth certificate literally doesn't matter, at all.

The whole fucking thing is a red herring. There is no there, there. Even if every single allegation they make regarding his birth certificate is true, and he was born in Kenya, Obama is still 100% legally eligible to be president of the United States, because he is a citizen by birth, regardless of the location.

It's like they are so obsessed with the trees they have totally forgotten they are lost in the woods.

This kind of insipid thinking was debunked in 2008. I tell you what, when you have to show your various forms of ID to the entire fucking world just to get you licensed renewed, then you might come close to having something that remotely resembles an intelligent argument.

Anyway, do you think Obama has gone his entire life without ever having a drivers license? The big problem that was revealed in 2008 is that the only person that ever verifies the qualifications of a presidential candidate is a chosen representative of the candidate's political party who submits a declaration.

But it's not just presidential candidates. Any candidate for any office does nothing more than submit a declaration saying they are qualified, and it is deemed to be so. The only way to disqualify such a candidate that I know of is to submit proof positive to the Sec of State, but since most relevant information is not available to the public, you're just SOL.

Shouldn't someone, somewhere in the process, who is not associated with the candidate, simply verify their eligibility? If not in the primary then at least in the general?

Because of course "they" let him graduate from Harvard magna cum laude because "they" were grooming him to become the first furrin born islamo-facist atheist nazi president so that "they" can destroy Amurica and impose sharia law, right? Admit it, that's what you're thinking, isn't it?

As Geller says, "We have a requirement that a President be certified to be a 'natural born citizen' to serve in the office. It is not a major burden to supply documentation to prove such eligibility."

The issue isn't his birthplace, it's his big F*U* to anyone who dares question him.

Pisses you off, does it?

Well - that's his purpose, as a Manchurian candidate. The more you get pissed off, the more he achieves his goal. Diabolical, isn't it?

One of my Republican brothers came by my new house yesterday and when he saw the CFL lights said we should replace them with incandescent bulbs as the CFLs are poisonous when they break. When he said he just bought a bunch of incandescent bulbs because they're going to be outlawed soon I asked, "Are you storing them next to all the ammunition you bought because Obama's going to make you register every bullet?" I guess, I need to get my records straight. Oh wait . . .

Heh... San Diego is anything but flat... have you ever flown into Lindbergh Field?

Yeah, just recently. One of the scarier US airports, IMHO. Anyhow, I'm off to bed too. Good night everybody! Glad you're feeling better Gus. Some day when we're on I'll ask what happened, if you want to share :-).

A birther AND a Harpy fangirl. Well isn't that just precious.//

The word is "special" --> "Isn't that special" in your best church lady voice.

It would be my dream to expose that f'd up family for the counterfeit hypocrites they are, in precisely the ways that would set their fundie base on their collective ear, which is precisely why it won't happen. And was Sarah's affair ever confirmed, or just a vicious rumor? I'm thinking the latter. Even Sarah doesn't deserve to have shit made up about her, especially when the volume of real shit doesn't require it.

Tiger Woods, Mel Gibson, and Jesse James were so much fun, I'd like to find out He-Man Half-Term First Dude Todd liked to bang tattooed Nazi lovers, as well, but I don't think it's in the cards. He's going to ride his Caribou Cash Cow til the wheels fall off and the Sharpie dries up.

lol, I'm loving the creative comments here since I can't make sense of Geller's "science" claimed in her rant. I even went back to her original post where her "expert" went on and on about who knows what. And my background is in imaging. Who knew!! It's like looking at the "science" behind the arguments against climate change. Smoke and mirrors.

@ Charles, I'm just getting up to speed on this because I never took the birther claim seriously. But this Geller crap is ridiculous.

Looking at her original evidence posted as ATLAS EXCLUSIVE: FINAL REPORT ON OBAMA BIRTH CERTIFICATE FORGERY CHANGE YOU CAN BELIEVE IN makes an imaging guy ask a few simple questions like
1. Why compare COLB samples from other parties to a bad jpeg of Obamas? An idiot knows these are printed on site at the time of the request and printer variations account for every point made. It's only proof of ignorance.

2. What is the procedure used to produce these "heat maps"? I'm aware of Image Error Level Analysis and all it does is allow us to compare an original to a suspected photochopped copy.

I ran the Obama COLB found on Snopes through an online Image Error Level Analysis service. Here's what accepted science gives...

....normal jpeg artifacts. How about that. No forgery. And nothing like the smoke and mirrors she puts out for the ignorant sheeples. No wonder it took you so long to stop laughing to make the post....

This is my favorite part from the shrieking harpy's post:

The fact that Obama was adopted by Indonesian Lolo Soetoro in the 1970s, and his name was legally changed to Barry Soetoro at that time, is most likely the reason he is spending millions of dollars to hide his birth certificate. He never filed the papers to change his name back to “Barack Hussein Obama, Jr.”, so any birth certificate produced by the state of Hawaii would list him as “Barry Soetoro”.

Because nothing benefits a political career quite like having Barack Hussein Obama as your name, rather than Barry Soetoro.

Looks like a scanner glitch to me. Or something strange that happened converting from one image file type (jpg, gif, pdf, etc.) to another. The files being bandied about the Internet have probably been converted multiple times.

But what do I know -- I'm only an IT professional.

Wow! I managed to find some truth in the article!

Also, very funny that she lauds the Rathergate farce. A story Charles himself broke! She should know better than to mess with the master.

Haven't you heard? According to Geller and the rest of the right wing blogosphere, I had nothing to do with Rathergate. They've done their best to completely erase me from their memories of the scandal.

IF OBAMA HAD BEEN BORN IN KENYA THEN HE IS NOT A CITIZEN EVEN IF HIS MOTHER IS A CITIZEN

...because his mother's citizenship only counts if she spends a certain number of adult years in the USA. I think it's five years after the age of fourteen must be spent in the USA, and she was only eighteen when he was born so this would have been impossible. This technicality rarely ever needs to be (or gets to be) invoked, but I once saw someone get deported for it in Miami.

OTOH, this should have been noticed when he arrived in the country. Immigration officers are aware of such things and having been born out-country he would not have been listed on his mother's passport. Or the embassy or whoever updated her passport should have noticed it. Of course there is always incompetence, but the idea that an insignificant single mom could have tricked the INS into doing her a favor strikes me as very unlikely. Not that Immigration doesn't screw up---it may be the most screwed up institution in the federal government---but it never screws up in your favor. Not in the long run, anyway.

Little story: Imagine a large, rickety table in a sparse room otherwise containing only a few half-used boxes of printer paper stacked on a gray metal folding chair. On the table is a slippery pile of lost items: wallets, passports, personal statements, and the important documents of tens of thousands of immigrants who have come through Miami but whose immigration case folders lost an item or two through careless filing. In a similar pile in New York my mother had her legal name accidentally changed from Jorgine to "George." But she was fortunate. Entire case histories have fallen into that writhing pile of bureaucratic excrement, never to be seen again. The pile is real, but it is also a metaphor for the inhumanely bureaucratic soul-sucking morale-crushing employee-eating monstrosity that is the INS. You cannot help but wonder if Stalin were somehow responsible for its design. But they never forget about the immigrants. Oh no. They might have lost all the contents for your empty file, but they won't forget about you.
