We’ll be laying off three employees next week. Sad. We were hoping for a change in business climate, but there will be more recession with Obama back in. And ObamaCare is causing us to consider closing our shop all together, because we can’t see how we can make a profit in the future. We’ll be okay, but our employees will have a hard time.

I agree. The computer modeling is pretty accurate.
Romney needed to come out well ahead in Florida, NC, Va and Ohio.
Not happening.
Choosing Ryan over RUbio was a critical error. Rubio would have assured Florida and shaved Hispanic votes off elsewhere.
Who to blame?
Start with that bloated obscenity in New Jersey Chris Christie who helped Obama blow Benghazi off the map with his cameo appearance in the news walking arm in arm with the fat F—k. It made Obama look presidential and bipartisan and Christie knew EXACTLY what he was doing.
Blame Jorge El Segundo. That’s right. Jorge. In his 8 years of office an unmitigated flood of illegal Hispanic voters came over the borders and these people are even now influencing the race.
And, LASTLY, blame the doofuses in the GOP who managed to pull off the unbelievable - loosing to a president whose domestic and foreign policies have been catastrophic.
I will read the grimy details tomorrow and digest the implications for myself and what was once a great nation.

What could well be the most detestable politician in the United States, Texas Court of Appeals Justice Sharon "Killer" Keller, has been re-elected, thanks to voter ignorance and straight Republican voting. Keller closed her office rather than hear the final appeal of a condemned man who was duly executed that very night. The Commission on Judicial Conduct found she acted outside accepted principles of right and wrong, and denied the accused his right to appeal, but let her off on a technicality.
She is, of course, a devout Christian.
She was also fined $100,000 for failing to disclose some 2 million dollars in assets.
Her opponent, Keith Hampton, was endorsed by practically every paper in the state, including many otherwise rabidly Republican ones.
Keller still won by about 60-40%.

Playing with CNNs electoral vote app, based on how things look right now. If everything stays the way it is with no close race flipping, I have Obama at 225 and Romney at 222. This is before adding California.
Adding California, Obama wins even if every other state that has 0% reporting right now goes to Romney. It would be 280 to 251. If Virginia flips to Obama, 293 to 238.
Since I really don't see Romney winning 1 or 2 of whats left besides CA, I'm predicting:
Obama 299 - Romney 235

Obama 312 - Romney 222

The "Hitler finds out..." parody videos routinely crack me up, but if you haven't, you really should see the full movie. It's easily one of the best WWII movies ever made. It has received some criticism for allegedly attempting to "humanize" Hitler and the Nazi upper echelon. In my view, that only adds to the horror. Here's a FB post from the conservative guy I know who posted the cartoon which claimed Obama is sympathetic to Al Queda:
If Romney wins FL, NC, VA, NV, CO, IA and Obama wins OH and NM... Romney will be President and Joe Biden VP.
More than likely, he's serious about this. I'm actually looking forward to un-friending him tomorrow.

re: #352 Our Precious Bodily Fluids
re: #245 Pawn of the Oppressor
The "Hitler finds out..." parody videos routinely crack me up, but if you haven't, you really should see the full movie. It's easily one of the best WWII movies ever made. It has received some criticism for allegedly attempting to "humanize" Hitler and the Nazi upper echelon. In my view, that only adds to the horror. They were just ordinary humans, and this is what they did.
It really was a great movie. They really nailed the sense of insane desperation creeping up until the end.
Though yes, it did get flack for being humanizing. My first set of comments here on LGF got downding'd to hell for much the same reason: people don't like being reminded that one of the most evil figures in history was not some mythological demon, but a mere man like any other. A lesson that must never be forgotten.

re: #352 Our Precious Bodily Fluids
Oh, I own a copy. About the only criticism I've ever seen of the movie was from the real radio operator in the bunker (the tall fellow at the table outside the door in the movie), who only said that basically "Hitler didn't yell that much". That guy was still alive as of a few years ago, living in some dusty old apartment near Berlin, if I remember right.
Hitler is kind of hard to understand as a person, IMO, unless you're willing to face the physical reality of evil and become familiar with the concept of political Romanticism. He's the most extreme example of it in Western history, I think. The guy was writing poetry about burning the world down around everyone's ears long before he exchanged paintbrush for political pulpit. The most telling line in the whole movie was, for me - again paraphrasing - "at least I killed the Jews." Tearing the world apart in the name of some fantasy Valhalla-on-earth was the core of his very identity; the Man was the Action, and the Ends justified the Means.
Truly horrible, and truly human.

Filibuster is a Senate issue, so doesn't relate to the House. A Rep majority in the House is enough to stop everything except Executive orders.
The filibuster in the Senate allows a Rep Senate minority to do the same thing there.
