More on the Horror of Yoga, now it’s infiltrated the Military.
A new Mind Fitness Training program being tested in the U.S. military has integrated yoga, breathing classes and meditation alongside other more traditional training regimes to keep soldiers calm and mentally fit and to reduce depression and use of alcohol and drugs. To Perkins, however, this new initiative is a stand-in for one’s personal relationship with God.
more like an attempt to increase one’s personal relationship and take the middle-man pastor out of the equation. Might lessen those PayPal receipts.

A national registry for the mentally ill. That would require everyone to be screened for mental illness on a periodic basis, just to make sure someone doesn’t have an underlying condition that meets DSM-V characteristics.
Once you get into the specifics of a mental health registry, these same folks would oppose it in practice.
Of course, the mental health registry would require an exemption from HIPPA protections. And what mental health conditions would be no-go?

Cindy Jacobs confirms miracles do happen, her shoes lasted a really long time.
On the most recent episode of “God Knows,” Cindy Jacobs warned that the world was heading into a “season of shaking” and so people ought to start making preparations and stockpiling some provisions. But Christians will not have must to worry about because God will provide for them supernaturally, just like how he has miraculously multiplied the dinners she has cooked and the oil she has used and also made a set of tires on her car and a pair shoes she owned last for years and years:
Hmm, end suffering and prevent tragic deaths or see to Cindy Jacobs shoes? What is an omnipotent supreme being supposed to do?

WE need to accurate acccount for those adjudicated mentally unfit (or use whatever term is correct). This data does need to be available for the background checks. We also need to ensure that the names are removed once the person heals and is adjudicated again to be fit.
Out-of-respect, the NRA and other pundits on the issue need to get their semantics correct. Lunatic is a demeaning and archaic term and only serves to reinforce the stigma of mental illness.

Political Imprisonment in the UK: EDL Leader Tommy Robinson Jailed for 10 Months - Atlas Shrugs
It is stunning that the UK has degenerated to such depths. Freedom is no longer a reality, but a defeated idea undone by cowardice and capitulation of Islamic thuggery and violence.
Tommy Robinson, my colleague and board member of SION, is a political prisoner in the UK, imprisoned for standing up for freedom and equality of rights under the law. I stand with Robinson.
Actually, Robinson isn’t his real name, and he is imprisoned for using someone else’s passport to illegally enter the United States to speak at Geller’s rally.
I wonder what Pamela would have to say about a Muslim who entered the US with someone else’s passport?

To have women serving in infantry, though, could impair the mission-essential tasks of those units. And that’s been proven in study after study, it’s nature, upper body strength, and physical movements, and speed, and endurance, and so forth.

State Sen. Dick Saslaw does not mince words about his support for uranium mining. A Northern Virginia Democrat who is also the Senate minority leader, Saslaw says burying the radioactive byproduct known as tailings underground should be a solution to environmental concerns. And he says he can’t be concerned about what might happen 100 [years] from now.
“What about 10,000 years from now? I’m not going to be here,” Saslaw says. “I can’t ban something because of something that might happen 500 or 1,000 years from now.“

In an earlier thread, I brought up the lack of viable self-defense weapons that incapacitate without killing. Though I gave the example of tranquilizer guns at the time, that certainly wasn’t all I meant - there are bound to be other options, available now or possible to create (I’m leaving tasers aside for now as they have problems of their own).
So here’s a thought - what about a device that sprays out a massive gob of foam, fire-extinguisher style, that not only physically blocks a person’s vision if it gets in their face, but stinks like skunk spray and causes massive itching? Shouldn’t that stop an attacker long enough for would-be victims to escape?

In a similar vein: I had a go at a guy in my neighborhood today for describing Eric Cantor as a “jewboy”.
I’m risking invoking the MBF here, but being a liberal Democrat doesn’t necessarily inoculate some people from bigotry.

I wish the Alex Joneses of the world directed their paranoid fear of a dystopian future towards one thing that could actually bring about a dystopian future: runaway climate change. If the green energy lobby had half the influence of the gun lobby, we’d all be driving solar-powered cars and be powering our homes with solar cells on roofs by now.

re: #83 Sol Berdinowitz
I have referred to joe Lievermann using the same epiphet, has nothing to do with his religion, just with the fact that he is an obnoxious little twit who also happens to be Jewish.
I swear, it happens even with some of the best religions…
Yeah, that doesn’t work for me. Calling someone a Jewboy has everything to do with the supposedly corrupting influence of Judiasm. I have had relatives let me know that they dislike some of my friends partly because they’re Jewish.

Looks like a Timothy McVeigh fan if I read this comment he retweeted to Charlie Daniels right:

Looks to me like “TeaPartyTony” there is most likely a member of Stormfront. Typical über-right-wing nutjob bullshit. Accusing the Jews of promoting interracial relationships/marriage, etc.
I think the neo-nazi right has long accused “Jews” who control MTV of deliberataly trying to “mongrelize” the white race by promoting hip hop music and African-American culture. That’s what that sick cartoon looks like.

re: #80 b_sharp
I view interracial relationships/marriage as a good thing, it breaks down the concept of race as having any real meaning.
As do I. Also, increases genetic diversity.

That’s exactly what it is. Typical white supremacist propaganda.

Part of it is my upbringing, I grew up in a very ethnically and racially mixed neighborhood, referreing to people using what are considered racial slurs in polite company nowadays was just the way we talked back then.
And I have never let any dislike for Jewish individuals (Like Cantor and Liebermann) carry over to the entire race/religion. Same goes for all other races/ethnicities/religions.

I noticed a “Kilgore trout43” in the followers list so some of our blogstalkers clone accounts follow this asshole.
“Kilgore Trout” is pretty common. Plus it has one “l”.

He’s also a troller on TGDN. He’s accused Todd Kincannon of being a pedo and possessing kiddie porn. I don’t know how to embed the tweets.

They banned all the Justin Bieber fans from TGDN. The Bieberites really added some class to that place, it’s back to being a sick shithouse again. I haz a sad.

I damned near put my fist through my monitor when Alex Jones was shrieking. That man is fucking psychotic!
And yet he’s not under professional health care, he has a radio show with a wide reach and he’s allowed to use fucking firearms! He shouldn’t be allowed to play with anything sharper than a rubber ball.
No wonder my wife is in such a hurry to leave the country.

re: #6 Destro
Jon Stewart’s editorials are as brilliant as ever maybe because the arguments they are deflating are so nutso only a comedian can deflate them?
As my favourite author notes, “Comedy is the least controlled form of language and therefore the most dangerous to those with power.”

That’s some Klan-quality stuff. It’s been updated a bit, but would fit in the old “Fiery Cross” pamphlets. They’ve not really gone away, you know:

I hope Piers Morgan will invite Alex Jones on again and make him wear this accessory.
