re: #8 Dread Pirate
Democrats rushed to impeach without evidence, but we don’t want to hear any evidence because it’d be bad for Trump, so there’s no need for a trial that the Democrats rushed.
Let’s just ignore that there’s plenty of evidence directly implicating Trump since Trump openly admitted to the misconduct. Let’s further ignore that Trump personally is blocking anyone from testifying that could shed light on his actions. He wont allow them to testify under oath or to share information and documents, even though it was a perfect call according to him. None of that makes any sense until you realize that there’s precisely dick that clears Trump of these charges. No one will clear him under oath. Trump will be further implicated in crimes, so the GOP is left spinning furiously that this isn’t impeachable because Democrats can’t prove a crime occurred because they lack material evidence that Trump is withholding to obstruct the very impeachment (and which includes an article relating to obstruction of Congress on this very matter).
You have to wonder about the stamina of a presidential candidate you continually prop up when he’s caught napping during an impeachment trial. https://t.co/5ZQ657ovzV

Though I haven’t actually watched any of Schiff’s presentation, I’m guessing, from Eric Trump’s carping, it must be as inspiring and on-the-mark as anything ever.
It really is an easy call: whatever Don Jr. and Eric (aka Dope and Dopier) tweet out, just assume reality is probably 180 degrees opposite…..

In my opinion, your assumption is correct. I think Schiff has been absolutely fantastic (as have they all, actually.)

What is he up to?
There have been a couple times when Gaetz didn’t seem like a total jerk; for example, he supported Kate Hill and was opposed to her being driven from Congress. It always seems out of character when he behaves like a decent person — it’s natural to suspect an ulterior motive. And maybe there is.

A Bernie candidacy communicates that some people want to take the country in a radically new direction in pursuit of equality but have no practical plans for overcoming the power of their opponents. It’ll “just happen.”
So I just want to thank whoever the asshole milquetoast Democratic Reps from moderate districts were that insisted on not passing a separate article of impeachment specifically on the charge of attempted bribery, ‘cuz it’s not like this bullshit talking point was easy to predict

Take this motherfucker to the SCOTUS then. I don’t give a fuck how long it takes.
Because #CJRoberts may or may not have been doing good this afternoon, but sure wasn’t this morning:
In #criminallyunderreportednews this afternoon, SCOTUS’s majority made very clear via oral arguments that by May, individual religious belief will be considered superior to all secular law with a POSSIBLE exception regarding murder.

This Trump impeachment is a proxy battle, in the war between theocratic atavists in the US, and those of us who want a USA which at least made it to the twentieth century (to say nothing of the 21st century).

And another exception for Muslims.
One of the things Congress doesn’t do much of is overturn SCOTUS rulings. If they rule that public spending has to include religious schools, they should pass a law overturning it. And if SCOTUS rules against that, then tax the churches.

The key to solving large and complex corruption cases is to follow the money. Everywhere Biden, Obama’s Point Man, went, the Biden Family Enterprise made millions. Yes millions!
— Rudy Giuliani (@RudyGiuliani) January 24, 2020
Wasn’t Rudy supposed to write a 20-page report on all the Biden corruption he’d found in Ukraine, and brief the DOJ and the Congress?
Wasn’t that in early December that all that was promised? And still, nothing?
This is exactly like when Trump promised Melania was going to give a press conference to answer questions about her immigration status, or that Joe Arpaio was going to present a what he’d found in Hawaii regarding Obama’s birth, or any number of other times when Trump promised something “within a week or so” that never, ever appeared.
It’s all bullshit, and Giuliani has adopted the method.
Asked about this email, Jay Sekulow confirmed he wrote it: “It’s called Professional Responsibility and Ethics,” he told me.
