Moonbats in Washington

Thu, Jan 20, 2005 at 7:50:50 am PST

The moonbats of International ANSWER are acting out on C-SPAN2; you can watch their chanting and ranting and poorly designed giant puppets here: C-SPAN: Watch LIVE.

They just booed and screamed “You suck!” Aren’t they cute?

Just what the Founders had in mind when they wrote the 1st Amendment.

Odd, did I just see that snaggle-toothed jackball yell:

"International sovereignty now"?

In other words, "Kow two to the UN dammit!"

7 beblebrox  Thu, Jan 20, 2005 5:54:12am

For what it's worth it's on CSPAN2 not CSPAN for those near a TV.

8 traveler  Thu, Jan 20, 2005 5:54:59am

Let's hope all these idiotic rantings backfire in negative publicity, much like Barbara Boxer's did.

9 equable  Thu, Jan 20, 2005 5:55:19am

Oh geez, they need better speakers. This Brenda Stokeley is really grinding away at my nerves. I'd rather listen to Stephen Hawking do a William Hung impersonation than this crusty-haired bitch.

10 TalkinKamel  Thu, Jan 20, 2005 5:56:19am

Check out the article about all the Leftist groups converging on Washington in today's Front Page Magazine.

Can we start questioning their patiotism NOW?

11 Chief Airdale  Thu, Jan 20, 2005 5:56:26am

Public demonstration of Idiots and 5th Columnists. Should be mandatory viewing for all Americans. It would certainly expose them for the crackpots they are.

12 gavindow  Thu, Jan 20, 2005 5:56:30am

Oh good, this is far more entertaining than step-by-step coverage of Bush's morning. i'm serious.

13 Lyana  Thu, Jan 20, 2005 5:56:50am

It's ok. They can rant all they want - they're not running the country, thank G-d.

G-d bless and keep our president.

Such selfish short sided behavior on the part of the left. shhhh. Let us sit back and watch the idiots dance. They don't realize that their own spoiled brat behavior hurts them and helps us.

17 Golem Akbar  Thu, Jan 20, 2005 5:57:38am

Firewall at work -- can't see the video. However, I believe the more those guys rant, the better it gets for Bush and all Americans in general. Let the public see and hear these idiots. Public disgust will trump the lefties into dust.

18 gavindow  Thu, Jan 20, 2005 5:57:47am

Haha, they couldn't get their chant going until the motorcade had gone by.

19 9Iron  Thu, Jan 20, 2005 5:57:52am

No Justice, No Peace, US dependent on the MiddleEast

20 Who Watches the Watchmen?  Thu, Jan 20, 2005 5:57:53am

Damn...Brenda Stokely looks like she's about to bust a gut.

Oh, and now they're chanting "No justice, no peace, US out of the Middle East."

Pass the Rolaids please.

21 Capt. Queeg  Thu, Jan 20, 2005 5:59:09am

Tried. Couldn't deal. Bush's motorcade was more engaging entertainment. Then again, so is watching paint dry.

"We have lost millions of lives in Iraq!"

What the hell is this guy smoking?

23 ferris  Thu, Jan 20, 2005 6:00:06am

Great scene on TV right now (not this gathering of morons).

The Bush motorcade was driving up to the Hill and the street is lined with servicemen and women. Watching them each in turn render a salute to their C in C was awesome.

I venture to say they are relieved to be saluting W and not J F'in K.

24 Spiny Norman  Thu, Jan 20, 2005 6:00:14am

March, march, march!

Here come marching, the legions of the differently-truthed!

The future (and present) of the Democrat Party. I'm impressed, aren't you?

25 gavindow  Thu, Jan 20, 2005 6:00:30am

Wow, these guys are uninspired chanters. I'm more successfull leading section 239 of Wrigley Field in anti-White Sox chants.

26 9Iron  Thu, Jan 20, 2005 6:00:30am

Don't these asshats realize that we'd find out exactly where OBL was by getting out of the middle east? Probably at one of Saddams palaces.

"Where is Bin Laden?"

Here's an answer, go find him you lazy prick. Stop crying that you hate the gub'ment and then ask what it can do for you. Typical liberal dirtbag prattle.

The one that really got me however, was the hollering about democracy - yet they're protesting an inauguration of a president who won fair and square?

Hey A.N.S.W.E.R let's be honest here. Just say it, repeat after me:

"Waaah we didn't get our way!"

30 Carolina Girl  Thu, Jan 20, 2005 6:00:59am

Moonbat Central here in San Francesspool is out in force as well. Five of them have posterboards up with pictures of soldiers killed in Iraq in front of the Sheraton Palace. I skipped by with my Starbucks, singing to the tune of "Poor Little Buttercup"

"Poor loser moooonbats.....poor loser moonbats."

They didn't like that much. I wanted to ask them if they had permission from the families to display the photographs of their dead heroes. Then I was going to ask if they'd show me the streak of yellow that ran up their backs.

I'm such a stinker.....

31 Shammer  Thu, Jan 20, 2005 6:01:00am

You may be able to get around some of the Firewall restrictions on Real Player this way:

Solution 3: Manually configure RealPlayer to use HTTP only.

On some networks it may be necessary to configure RealPlayer to use the HTTP Only option to connect to the Internet. This option allows a copy of RealPlayer operating behind strict firewalls to access RealPlayer traffic; however, quality may not be as good as with other connection options.

To configure RealPlayer to receive content via HTTP only:

1. In RealPlayer, click the Tools menu and choose Preferences. The Preferences box opens.
2. In the Category pane under Connection, click Network Transports.
3. Select the Manually configure connection settings check box.
4. Click the RTSP Settings button, then make sure the Attempt to use HTTP for all content check box is selected.
5. Click OK.
6. Click the PNA Settings button, then make sure the Attempt to use HTTP for all content check box is selected.
7. Click OK twice to save your changes

Jimmy Carter is just the tip of the iceberg. When the money trail is followed, I'll bet half the Leftist organizations in the world, including the Democratic Party, received oil-for-fraud money. Saddam bought the UN Security Council and half the world. Not a bad return on investment, eh?

Thanks. I got in. Great video. Kinda funny, too. Reminds me of my youth (I was an SDS-er back then), when we would say almost anything outrageous just to get attention. I say, this is a democracy. Let the crazies shout anything they want. The more they do, the better it gets for the liberty-loving majority of Americans.

Last night I caught a bit of Bush's speech at the Tuxedo and Boots dinner. He ended his talk by saying that "Americans love freedom," and that his second term will be about futhering liberty throughout the world. I hope everyone in the world hears that, loud and clear. He makes me proud to be an American.

Man that sounds an awful lot like the Constitution of the USSR.

Chapter 7: THE BASIC RIGHTS, FREEDOMS, AND DUTIES OF CITIZENS OF THE USSR

Article 39. Citizens of the USSR enjoy in full the social, economic,
political and personal rights and freedoms proclaimed and guaranteed by the
Constitution of the USSR and by Soviet laws. The socialist system ensures
enlargement of the rights and freedoms of citizens and continuous improvement
of their living standards as social, economic, and cultural development
programmes are fulfilled.
Enjoyment by citizens of their rights and freedoms must not be to the
detriment of the interests of society or the state, or infringe the rights of
other citizens.

Article 40. Citizens of the USSR have the right to work (that is, to
guaranteed employment and pay in accordance wit the quantity and quality of
their work, and not below the state-established minimum), including the right
to choose their trade or profession, type of job and work in accordance with
their inclinations, abilities, training and education, with due account of the
needs of society.
This right is ensured by the socialist economic system, steady growth of
the productive forces, free vocational and professional training, improvement
of skills, training in new trades or professions, and development of the
systems of vocational guidance and job placement.

Article 41. Citizens of the USSR have the right to rest and leisure.
This right is ensured by the establishment of a working week not
exceeding 41 hours, for workers and other employees, a shorter working day in
a number of trades and industries, and shorter hours for night work; by the
provision of paid annual holidays, weekly days of rest, extension of the
network of cultural, educational, and health-building institutions, and the
development on a mass scale of sport, physical culture, and camping and
tourism; by the provision of neighborhood recreational facilities, and of
other opportunities for rational use of free time.
The length of collective farmers' working and leisure time is established
by their collective farms.

Article 42. Citizens of the USSR have the right to health protection.
This right is ensured by free, qualified medical care provided by state
health institutions; by extension of the network of therapeutic and health-
building institutions; by the development and improvement of safety and
hygiene in industry; by carrying out broad prophylactic measures; by measures
to improve the environment; by special care for the health of the rising
generation, including prohibition of child labour, excluding the work done by
children as part of the school curriculum; and by developing research to
prevent and reduce the incidence of disease and ensure citizens a long and
active life.

DEBKA-Net-Weekly 188 revealed that Rumsfeld will quit as defense secretary when his successor has been picked. But Bush’s choice depends on his charting an end-game for Iraq early on in his second term.

The timing of his resignation – certainly not before Iraq’s January 30 election - depends on a choice of successor, for which the White House has been holding discreet contacts for weeks. That choice in turn depends on the president defining his end-game for Iraq and laying it out in clear policy guidelines.

A Democrat might be appointed to the post, in the same bipartisan way in which Republican William Cohen served as President Bill Clinton’s defense secretary.

Nazi doctors working for the administration....oppressed union workers.....Lula's Brazil as a US puppet....millions of dead in Iraq....massacres in Haiti.
Do these Huns actually believe what they are saying? It's possible that some do, the power of self-deception should never be under-estimated, but I have another idea:

The Moonbat anger is real enough, but the stated reasons for it are just a rationalization, a substitute for real motives that they are unwilling, or perhaps unable, to articulate publicly.
For over 40 years, the political left has been strongly linked to the drug culture, and the latter, driven by commercial principles of suppy and demand, has evolved to accommodate this mindset. This isn't invective or demonization, it is documented and discussed at great length in many works of the post-60s left.
The narrative we see in Washington today is interchangeable with that of the drug-oriented counter-culture; the costumes, the language, the hyperbole, the overt paranoia.

I submit that the Moonbats are ultimately angry over drug prohibition, and the left's fantasy ideology is simply a socially acceptable outlet for expressing that anger.
Those who aren't users themselves will undoubtedly know people who have fallen afoul of draconian drug laws. If an average middle-class college student, the demographic heart of the left, is going to get in trouble with the law, it will almost certainly be over drugs. The same is true for other centers of left-conformity; middle-class status seekers and, especially, hard-core media culturists.
I am convinced that we could pull the plug on this entire lunatic empire, this culture of treason, by legalizing most recreational drugs. Unfortunately, the leading public voice in favor of repeal, the Libertarian Party, has virtually gone over to the enemy in recent years and the drug laws are more strongly entrenched than ever.

Which, I think, is the funnier context.

Ms Streisand's write-up on the Camel Toe Report (page 1 under Retro Toes)

Toe Factor: 6 (frankly, the afro is more impressive)
Seen: Lecturing to Senate Democrats on foreign policy

Barbra Streisand is pure comedy. Her insecurity manifests itself in every aspect of her career. Much like that other aging New Yorker, Woody Allen, Barbra insists on casting herself in roles where young, beautiful people fall in love with her. My favorite was the "Mirror Has Two Faces", in which she had Pierce Brosnan and Jeff Bridges fighting over her. Yeah... right. Something tells me Bond is pulling down wool of a little higher quality. Just like Madonna, Barbra is fortunate that the gay community is in love with her, because the hetero world tired of the act years ago. In this photo, Barbra looks like one of Dr. J's teammates from the ABA. Tight shorts, high socks, huge afro. All she needs is a red, white and blue basketball to complete the image. Which honeymoon would you rather have on video? Barbra and James Brolin? Or Liza and David Gest?

The Moonbat anger is real enough, but the stated reasons for it are just a rationalization, a substitute for real motives that they are unwilling, or perhaps unable, to articulate publicly

BINGO

However,
I'm not convinced that the legalization of drugs would correct the problem. Remember what the opium dens did to china's population. Actually the Chinese haven't forgotten either and still hate the West for allowing drug smugglers to kill their children

regarding #207

If Karl Rove were really an evil mastermind, he could have pre-empted these riots by going around to the Moonbat encampments last night and distributing whole truckloads of top-quality Colombian weed, with large packets of other recreational pharmaceuticals tossed in for the more jaded.

LMAO, true

but I think Karl Rove is a good mastermind,,

THe problem with the moonbats (besides the obvious) ;-)

They all have different axes to grind. No unity on any one idea. Stupid signs held by even more stupid people. I'm willing to bet that jobs would solved most of their problems which is too much time on their hands.

Hey, here is a chant. Whenever Kerry goes anywhere, some patriot needs to shout: "Be a hero, sign one eight zero!"

I've heard the male equivalent of the camel toe referred to as "Oyster Pups", usually on fat men suffering from "Dunlops disease". (Belly dun-lops over the belt forcing them to ride their drawers too high)

Without opium there would not have been Transcedentalism...

During the 19th century many writers and artists experimented with opium, and after 1840 with hashish, and coca. Boon mentions Coleridge, Delacroix, Daumier, Sir Walter Scott, Poe, Baudelaire, Balzac, Alexandre Dumas, Rimbaud, Conrad Doyle, Robert Louis Stevenson, and Yeats, among many others. Opium and hashish not only tied romanticism to science, but spanned Europe and its colonies, infusing into Western consciousness molecules of the mysterious East. Records of opium and hashish dreams during this period are overrun with Orientalist imagery.

Science added to the possibilities. By 1850 surgery and dental work often involved laboratory-derived anaesthetics. Emerson established the Transcedentalist position on anaesthetics (and all drugs), as "quasi-mechanical substitutes for the true nectar", but when Oliver Wendell Holmes experienced chloroform on a visit to his dentist, he was thrilled by the philosophical possibilities. Thoreau and Margaret Fuller also had chloroform experiences, but were more circumspect. Other writers explored ether, and William James considered nitrous oxide a door to the Hegelian absolute. In The Varieties of Religious Experience James wrote "Sobriety diminishes, discriminates and says no; drunkenness expands, unites, and says yes. It is in fact the great exciter of the Yes function in man."

Police Use Pepper Spray at Bush Inauguration

Police sprayed pepper spray to disperse demonstrators who hurled debris and tried to break through a security fence keeping protesters away from President Bush's inaugural parade on Thursday.
Several dozen protesters thronged toward the security fence, lobbing bottles, trash and snowballs at police, witnesses said. More than 100 police officers were at the scene where hundreds of protesters had gathered.

I got some o.k. pictures of moonbats and signs at the inaugural parade; but I missed the big riot. I was across the street, on the south side of the parade route, and we saw all the cops running up to the north side of the street at 5th and Penn. Unfortunately, they had already closed the cross-over. So I couldn't get over there to take a closer look.

The Prez didn't get out when he was near me, either.

Oh well. Still got to use the new digital camera. Now, I just have to figure out how to start posting them on the web...

Protesters burn a United States flag as the Bush inaugural parade passes by on Pennsylvania Avenue several blocks from the White House in Washington, January 20, 2005. Anti-war chants competed with pomp and circumstance as the inauguration of President George W. Bush for a second term took place amid the barricaded streets of central Washington.

Disgraceful.

#224 Zulubaby.

At one barricade, where the moobats tried to rush, that happened. I overheard there was a march that started at DuPont, and heading SE toward the Whitehouse. I think that's were most of the action was.

Along the parade route itself, there was the usual assortment of moonbat, centered, it seemed around the Canadian Embassy (of all places). However, the embassy itself displayed a respectful banner.

The turn-your-backers were almost completely unnoticeable. I notice a single one in my vicinity. I stood next to some very nice female Asian grad students from Maryland and two middle-aged couples from upstate New York. All were Bush supporters. Also, because the cops lining the street in front of us were from Chicago, there was a large Illinois contingent around us to, particular on the raised fountain-thing behind us, that provided a make shift scaffold.

woops. PIMP. This:

Should read that I did NOT notice a single turn-your-backer in my vicinity.

They just booed and screamed “You suck!” Aren’t they cute?

Cute is when they boo, yell "you suck," and someone yells back, "save it for the Sox-Yankees series!" Not cute when the response is "not today/you're not my type/I have an STD/the operation's next week."

I was watching the comments of the father of Nicholas Berg, one of the many hostages of Jihadis who was beheaded. This poor man--Nick's father--is one of these pacifist radicals who believes that the only sins in the world are those of commission. As long as other innocent people are dying, and we're not involved in the "killing," he's happy with his egocentic morality. The suffering of children being killed by others brings harsh words, but no action. Every sentence he spoke (practically) had the name "Bush" in it. I guess if Kerry had been elected, we'd never hear from Berg or his pacifist friends ever again. Truly sad and pathetic.
