I hate to bring this up, but I have always seen the Pledge as read differently than most.

According to the 2004-2005 American FFA Official Manual, the Pledge is to be read:

I hate to go OT but here goes. I'm sure everyone remembers Aaron Broussard, the President of Jefferson Parish, who broke down and started crying during an interview with Tim Russert. He accused FEMA of refusing to help residents of a nursing home. He said that the head of emergency operations in Jefferson Parish's mother died while being promised aid day after day.

Well, it turns out that this was nothing but a crock. I posted here one night last week that this whole thing smelled like a skunk. Although he claimed to be in touch with people in the nursing home, there was no phone service after the hurricane. I am glad to be vindicated.

I believe that Broussard was trying to cover for the persons responsible for not evacuating those poor old people. I believe that the owners of the nursing home have been charged with negligent homicide, but have already posted bond.

CSPAN says that it will rebroadcast the debate on Sunday. Does that mean that they will broadcast live? Who knows because CPAN can't get their act together enough to put an afternoon schedule together for today. (Is CSPAN run by Louisiana Democrats?)
