-RetweetLGF Infrastructure Update

Mon, Jul 17, 2006 at 6:05:41 pm PDT

You may have noticed the sudden appearance of links beneath each post, labeled “digg this” and “del.icio.us”. These are quick links to let users of “social bookmarking” sites Digg.com or del.icio.us submit an LGF post for publication. Both of these sites tilt pretty heavily toward the moonbat side of the current political scene, so I thought it might be a good idea to attempt to establish a lizardoid beachhead there.

Nobody said it was going to be easy.

UPDATE at 7/17/06 6:18:32 pm:

And yes, you’ll need to register at both of these sites to post LGF links. But at least they follow the primary rule of net registration: make it as quick and painless as possible.

So wait, we will have a bunch of Kook comments in between the sanity now? Or will they have their own section? Or are we posting over at their site on the same topic?
7 wccawa  Mon, Jul 17, 2006 4:10:41pm

They're both good feeds, and you should get some pretty good traffic from them.

I also think there are a lot of disillusioned, stunned moonbats walking around these past few days. Nothing like having your so-called world pulled out from under you by the harsh light of reality, eh?

Sometimes two plus two DOES equal four. LOL

Great idea to establish a beach head there. I'm all for that.

18 echoparkdirt  Mon, Jul 17, 2006 4:18:34pm

That's incredibly great news. The politics section has been completely taken over by moonbats. I've tried to wage a counter-offensive in World News. The best way to deal with DIGG is to find friends who share your beliefs, make them your friend, then check the "what friends have submitted" button on the left, and DIGG those. That's the way the Moonbats seem to have taken over. I've had some success there, and faced the rage of the Left in response. You can find my DIGGS at

49 echoparkdirt  Mon, Jul 17, 2006 4:48:10pm

Oh, by the way, how DIGG works is that articles don't get a lot of readership until they hit the "Front Page" -- so that means within 24 hours, articles need to get a certain amount of DIGGS to get there. That's why it's important to DIGG the articles you like. But people can also "BURY" articles, and even if they are popular, if they reach a certain amount of "BURYS" they are pulled from the front page. Several of my articles (mostly with the word Muslim in it) have fallen victim to this fate. It is, you understand, racist to call attention to Global Jihad.

These are the articles that were buried within 30 minutes of hitting the Front Page.
Strangely, many of these links are ones I found thru LGF:

[Link: digg.com...]

[Link: digg.com...]

[Link: digg.com...]

So the question is, how to respond to a sinister burial campaign? The only way I can figure out is to respond in kind -- and attempt to reach an uneasy balance of power.

Anyway this should be fun.

50 BobTheBuilder  Mon, Jul 17, 2006 4:49:36pm

Already bieng dugg down. Very little help from here so far.

{sigh}

51 Pro-Bush Canuck  Mon, Jul 17, 2006 4:49:58pm

I've been a Digg user for about a year, mainly (almost exclusively) because of the technical articles (which is their original raison d'etre).

As with the entire Internet Digg tends to attract a lot of leftists, due in no small part because the audience skews young and the young skew left.

There are voices from the right, or at least the center.

I have to say that some of the remarks one sees from time to time here concerning all Muslims--not just Islamists--would probably be considered extreme by almost anyone on Digg. Nonethless the vast majority of rational LGFers could do worse than to counter the standards leftist spin.

52 Killgore Trout  Mon, Jul 17, 2006 4:51:50pm

I might be swayed to sing up. At first most of the links seem pretty useless, but there are gems to be found;
From HuffingtonPost...

The REAL Reason Israel Is Going Full-Frontal on Hezbollah - NOW
by Russell Shaw

I'm convinced that Israel has been war-gaming this scenario, and believes that if they are to take these nukes out, the time to act is now. It could well be that Hezbollah's actions may cause a chain of events that will give Israel the pretext it thinks it needs to do this.

To do this NOW- not a year or two later when it may be too late.

Just a final thought - although I doubt it, is it totally beyond the pale that these two Israeli soliders were instructed to allow themselves to be kidnapped in order to foster the chain of events I have just described?

Dumbass.

For some reason, the song "Over There" by George Cohan is playing in my mind.

Over there over there
Send the word, send the word over there
That LGF is coming, LGF is coming,

***
The drums rum-tumming ev'rywhere
So prepare say a pray'r
Send the word, send the word to beware
We'll be over, we're coming over,
And we won't come back till it's over over there!

Any brilliant minds here want to convert the rest of the lyrics to match our mission? Maybe the "drums rum-tumming" could reflect the digital age?

Just a passing thought on a hot Monday night at the beginning of an uncertain week.

LOL!

Lately I've been into Little River Band. It takes me back to a safer, more comfortable time in my life.

Cohan's lyrics remind me of my grandfather who fought in both WWI and WWII (I have his really cool, white, leather belt with all kinds of notations on the inside), as well as my folks who fought in every battle/war since the USMC was instituted. I grew up humming The Marine's Hymn.

This is a new era. Perhaps it's time for new words to the same tunes.

Nope. Remember, he was identical to humans in every way other than his superior abilities. (Hey, Tasha Yar was a very discriminating woman. Remember her homeland?)

I'm not a Trekkie but, I've seen STNG episodes multiple times. I like the graphics and find amusement with the plots.

I believe Patrick Stewart wasted his talent at times but, he did what he had to do. And, he did it well.

Frake? Who gives a rat's ass? His gravy-train was his wife who portrays Laura in some soap--Luke and Laura?--the name of which I cannot recall.

Marina Sitris is one hot babe. Her character's mother actress was superbly ideal.

Gates McFadden: another beautiful woman. Her "son," Wesley (Will Wheaton), got his start in the Cruise-launch film about neurotic/sociopathic/psychotic kids at a military academy. (It is a precursor to the Hollywood theme that the military is EVIL, a theme which Cruise repeated in his portrayal of the protaganist in Born on the Fouth of July.)

The Left will tolerate any opinion, as long as it's Stalinist.

Moonbat maybe but fairly good tech news leads

Furl is kinda lefty too but at least the conservatives have a chance there. It's what I use. What do you say, Charles?

From your link:

I'm convinced that Israel has been war-gaming this scenario ...

Oooh, us crafty Jews! I did it with my Zionist hairbeams! He's onto me!

OMG...you have to read her military analysis. This is too much.

I wonder if she is still breast feeding her son...

LOL! What a vision that is. LOL.

And I missed lazytart ... !

It appears that the announcement that LGF is establishing a beachhead on DIGG has been buried -- it no longer is on the upcoming articles or on the politics frontpage, unless I'm missing something. It got enuff diggs to reach the frontpage, at which time the amount of "burials" wiped it off the system entirely. The first attack has been repelled?

coming late to the party but...

Digg.com is more techie than political. Most nerds tend to bend lefty, but not a large majority and usually only the young and unemployed. A bit of a rebellious phase.

{LAZYTART}

zulubaby-pump your hair beams up to 11, girl. There's a war on afterall...

Echoparkdirt has just been banned from Digg for "ABUSE" -- all my articles are gone. Digg bites back.

The gorilla is on an island, eats bananas and has a good time all day long. He plays out there in the bushes. Some Americans find out about the gorilla and they hear how BIG he is - you know. They're very impressed with the size of the beast. So they catch the gorilla & they stick him in a boat & bring him back to the US. They show him off to everybody & make a bunch of money. ...Then they kill him ! -- The song King Kong.1968 tour Wisconsin.
