Your Terrorist Propaganda Moment of the Day

Tue, Aug 29, 2006 at 2:56:26 pm PDT

Brought to you by Jesse Jackson and the Associated Press:

Veteran U.S. civil rights leader Rev. Jesse Jackson, right, walks past an anti-U.S. banner placed among the rubble of a building that was destroyed following Israeli bombardment during the 34-day long Hezbollah-Israel war, in the southern suburb of Beirut, Lebanon, Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2006. (AP Photo/Mahmoud Tawil)

I guess the rubble by itself didn’t quite have that punchy message Hizballah’s media relations department was looking for.

I'm starting to wonder if Hezbollah have hired Michael Moore as a propaganda consultant; it would explain his relative silence as of late...and the low quality of their propaganda efforts.

11 Hazan-Khan-(Secret)-Apostate-In-Pakistan  Tue, Aug 29, 2006 1:03:14pm

Now why don't I see similar banners in Israel saying "Made in Iran"?

Oh, wait. Israel doesn't do that whole propaganda thing.

12 Kragar (proud to be kafir)  Tue, Aug 29, 2006 1:03:32pm

I guess they couldn't find anything that says "Made by Islam" that didnt also have the "Warning: May explode" label right under it.

the rubble of a building that was destroyed following Israeli bombardment

Interesting choice of words. Are they trying to avoid saying that the Israeli ordnance actually did the destruction?

28 obscured by clouds  Tue, Aug 29, 2006 1:09:46pm

There's alot more where that came from, Ahknad. Besides, what's not to like about piles of rubble if you're an arab? It's very 7th century chic if you ask me. Ironically they should thank us for helping them get what they've been asking for.

Assuming that sign was not fauxtoshopped, I would surmise it didn’t faze the Reverend Jackson in the least. After all, the man has richly capitalized on portraying America as an oppressor, and a racist evil entity preying upon the less fortunate and downtrodden. Par for the course.

It was a tough choice, this, or mediating between the Benet family and John Karr.

Good afternoon all.

To reference Charles earlier article on MSM lunacy and reporting, as well as the Malkins piece, it's a shame that I have to run around the world reading papers in India, Pakistan, Egypt and Israel to find out what's really happening in the war on Islamic terror. You can't find in on the news here.

Think about it, when you try to find a story about anything to do with terrorism, aren't most of the leads and information found in foreign papers? (e.g. to do my ww III updates, it's a rare day when I reference anything here, and usually then it's Yahoo news.)

56 EC Marm  Tue, Aug 29, 2006 1:26:17pm

So, Jesse has no problem having himself photographed in front of a banner (that in English) says "Made In The USA - trademark." He belongs on my "no fly" list for being such a tool/fool/stool.

57 Golem Akbar  Tue, Aug 29, 2006 1:26:27pm

Made in the USA? Well, maybe I don' know nuthin' about birthin' babies, but I'd be proud of that sign. It says: Listen up, Hezbies! You lose when you strike Israel! Just sayin'

I read somewhere leading civil rights leaders of the day realized that Jesse was mor einterested in the attention and the perqs than the benefits when he wore the shirt with Dr. King's blood spatters on it for almost an entire week after the assasination at every public appearance he made.

60 Adrenalyn  Tue, Aug 29, 2006 1:27:04pm

at the risk of repeating and oldie

Jessie Jackson was holding a protest rally at the local WalMart is Bugspit Tennessee last week.

Seems he was upset all the washing machines were white, implying how racist it was.

When the manager of the store finally came out to confront the "reverend" and the media he offered that yes the machines were indeed all white but that the agitators were all black.

The "reverend" fainted.

Has Jackson EVER had a REAL job where he produced something of value, or a service of some kind, that someone would be willing to pay for?

A local reporter asked Jackson a couple of years ago the question no national reporter would dare ask - "Reverend Jackson, what do you do for money? What is your job, and how do you get paid?" Jackson's answer was: "It's been nice talking to you, I have to be going now!"

That's a fact!

75 Cartman  Tue, Aug 29, 2006 1:41:00pm

#66 Fist

Yo! Problem is that the left has tirelessly peddled the formula (Bush+Iraq=Terror). Terror would not exist in its current state (according to moonbat mythology) if Bush had just left Iraq alone. That is the foundation of the leftist Democratic platform. As you have pointed out, if we don't get up off of our butts and actively counter this propaganda in our own communities, 'Houston has a big problem' in November.

76 Ben Hur  Tue, Aug 29, 2006 1:41:31pm

What's sick is that they make all the accuses in the world about fake pics but here is a glaring example the the MSM is no longer the opposition party it became, but now is actively taking a part or playing a role in a war against Israel, America and (part of) the West.

There must have been hundreds of shots of Jesse Jackson amongst destruction without the sign.

The photo editor could not see this as anything else but propaganda against the US, yet he actively CHOSE this one. One designed, as someone mentioned above, is not meant for arab consumption, rather for Western audiences.

Much like Europe, they have chosen sides.

The muslims either actively (through military jihad) or passively (charity, silence in the face of attacks, public opinion) support a "Hot Jihad."

The Europeans either actively or passively are waging a "Cold Jihad" on the US and Israel, on many different fronts.

And now we have the press actively choosing sides and participating in a war

Growing up as I did in the greater Chicagoland area, I have seen Jesse Jackson's ugly arrogant mug for decades. That man is nothing more than a self-promoting camera-guzzling pimp. There is no tragedy that he doesn't make even worse by his very presence, which he inflicts upon us all whether we like it or not.

And since 1968, I have been wondering how the man makes his money.

100 gymnast  Tue, Aug 29, 2006 2:18:10pm

#74, 6patrick6. Since you asked, Jesse Jackson (like my Man, The Reverend Al Sharpton) makes a living by practicing the time honored practice of criminal extortion and race baiting while masquerading as a Christian Preacher and philanderer. It is hard work but both Jesse and Al are good at it. Their political party is proud of their accomplishments.

This is insane. If Jesse Jackson cared anything about America, he would have turned araound and walked out of there. He should have had the good sense not to show up in the first place, knowing he would be used somehow for enemy propaganda.

Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld said Monday he is deeply troubled by the success of terrorist groups in "manipulating the media" to influence Westerners.

"That's the thing that keeps me up at night," he said during a question-and-answer session with about 200 naval aviators and other Navy personnel at this flight training base for Navy and Marine pilots.

Rumsfeld was asked whether the criticism he draws as Pentagon chief and a leading advocate of the war in Iraq is an impediment to performing his job. He said it was not and he knows from history that wars are normally unpopular with many Americans. "I expect that," he said. "I understand that."

"What bothers me the most is how clever the enemy is," he continued, launching an extensive broadside at Islamic extremist groups which he said are trying to undermine Western support for the war on terror.

"They are actively manipulating the media in this country" by, for example, falsely blaming U.S. troops for civilian deaths in Iraq and Afghanistan, he said.

"They can lie with impunity," he said, while U.S. troops are held to a high standard of conduct.

rosh (#109),

Hey rosh!

Sometime I really am not too proud of the politicians we have up here in Canada.

And sometimes I get to feel better, because I get reminded that however corrupt, inept, traisonous, vile whore we have up here, you guys have it worse down there with this kind of slithering filth that schmooze with an organization that wants the destruction of your country, and has the blood of hundred of marines and US citizens already on their hands.

WDF goes on in this guy's mind?

Makes one speculate that perhaps Reverend Jackson Numbnuts brought the banner with him from the country he hates so much.

You'd think he'd be at the side of Mayor Numbnuts commemorating the day Bushchimphitler ordered Halliburton to use their fleet of black helicopters to steer Hurricane Katrina directly to New Orleans' 9th Ward.

c'mon, people! this is jesse.

he read dr. suess on saturday night live. he stood by tawana brawley. he ever so sweetly referred to nyc as "himey town". he was dubbed "america's number-one pimp selling the black vote."

where's a missle when you need one?

117 Thor-Zone  Tue, Aug 29, 2006 6:11:25pm

Jesse is just there to help the RoP recover

Next time Muslims wreak havoc somewhere, I'd like to see giant banners hanging at the spot for the world to see:

"THANKS A LOT ISLAM!"

"COMPLIMENTS OF THE CULT OF MO'"

"BROUGHT TO YOU BY THE RELIGION OF PEACE"

This is the same filthy animal who said he spit in white people's food when he used to work as a waiter.

Because it gave him satisfaction.

Did this piece of shit with legs bother to visit the Israeli buildings felled by his bloodthirsty Hizballah brothers?

Or visit the wounded Israeli senior citizens deliberately targeted by his Islamist pals?

To think that so many Jews help fund the civil rights movement in the US (my wife's family included).

Pearls before swine.

And you all should have heard the craptalicious interview he gave Galei Tzhal Israel Army Radio this morning.

We have to get ov-ah ah-our fe-ahs, in order to talk (as he put, more or less...).

The announcer, in a patronizing, suck-up to the interviewee tone, called him a major US human rights figure. Yeah, maybe like in Team America.

Why the hell is Jesse "whitey is evil" Jackson over there any way?

122 JerseyDave  Tue, Aug 29, 2006 9:51:45pm

So are they going to stick a gun in his face and demand he convert? Would he realize then that they are FUCKED UP?

#122 mattm - Jackson isn't a big fan of jewish people, as per his "Hymietown" comments. I wonder if that figures into his motives. I hope it is just his usual media grandstanding and cluelessness instead.
