Moonbats and Monkeywrenches in Times Square

Sun, May 20, 2007 at 10:53:01 am PDT

A gaggle of moonbats threw an anti-Gitmo melodramatic tantrum yesterday in Times Square, and Gathering of Eagles came out to monkeywrench their torturefest: Combating the Moonbats: Times Square, May 19th.

Urban Infidel was there with her camera: Gitmo Torture Theatre vs. The Gathering of Eagles Times Square.

Again with the orange suits and hoods.

Shall another 3 or 4 votes "For" beheading Alan Johnson (as per a previous thread) be registered?

These actors would portray things they consider to be unjust, possibly criminal.

Very well.

These actors need a few posters & videos to really drive their message home.

Perhaps a picture of Daniel Pearl, maybe one of the second plane hitting the WTC, perhaps one of the field in Pennsylvania.

YouTube has several jihadi videos to choose from.

It is important to see the sort of justice these actors truly support.

CHARLES.......

From Guantanamo Bay i remember of this news about how US detainee faced 'mentally tortured'...

"I swear to God this place in some sense worst than CIA jails. I am being mentally torture here," he said.

"There is extensive torture even for the smallest of infractions."

Mr Khan complained about how US guards had taken away pictures of his daughter, given him new glasses with the wrong prescription, shaved his beard off, forcibly fed him when he went on hunger strike, and denied him the opportunity for recreation.

This led him to attempt to chew through his artery twice, Mr Khan said.

Later, Mr Khan produced a list of further examples of psychological torture, which included the provision of "cheap, branded, unscented soap", the prison newsletter, noisy fans and half-inflated balls in the recreation room that "hardly bounce".

I think, Muslims think Infidel Prisons are 5 star hotels... so next time send them "AXE effect"......., Girls with big boobs, instead of half inflated balls, and so on...

I think a funny counterprotest would be to show detainees being served their meals with a uniformed military person serving as a butler, and then finish off showing him bringing them their prayer rugs, carefully handling their korans (proper gloves, of course, and then giving them soccer balls.

All the while in the background should be people watching over all this wearing signs reading ACLU, Amnesty International, International Red Cross, etc.

29 pegcity  Sun, May 20, 2007 11:22:57am

then giving them soccer balls.

those soccer balls better be properly inflated, otherwise thats torture

30 Highrise  Sun, May 20, 2007 11:23:17am

A funny observation from the 2nd link:

At one point the two guys in black ran around in the crowd screaming 'Terrorists! Terrorists!' The quickly police put a stop to it and apprised them that if they tried that stunt again, which was tantamount to yelling fire in a theater, they would be arrested and told them to remain inside the barriers.

50 Killgore Trout  Sun, May 20, 2007 11:41:21am

Stick a fork in Newt; He's done...
Gingrich tells Falwell's school to confront 'radical secularism'

"A growing culture of radical secularism declares that the nation cannot profess the truths on which it was founded," Gingrich said. "We are told that our public schools can no longer invoke the creator, nor proclaim the natural law, nor profess the God-given quality of human rights.

"In hostility to American history, the radical secularists insist that religious belief is inherently divisive and that public debate can only proceed on secular terms," he said.

Gingrich also decried what he called judges' overreaching efforts to separate church and state.

"Too often, the courts have been biased against religious believers. This anti-religious bias must end," he said.

He's only slightly more electable than Ron Paul.

51 BabbaZee  Sun, May 20, 2007 11:42:00am

Every fascist movement carries with it an undercurrent of sado-masochist,
cult of the warrior, perverse and brutal tribal homosexuality which is why Torah calls homosexuality (NOT HOMOSEXUALS) an abomination...

The lefties are very very attracted to this hence the rise in militant homosexuality among them also

it carries a very specific spirit of destruction along with it...

This is history, not "my opinon" and it is most easily evidenced in our times by the examples of National Socialism and Islam.

57 Outrider  Sun, May 20, 2007 11:51:29am

Interesting. The slide show shows the demonstrators by way of placards, referring to the prisoners as "enemy combatants".

Do they not see the inconsistancies in their references to enemy combatants and American civil rights and trials? They make reference to the Geneva Conventions. Have they even read them? Do they know what the articles say and which countries even signed them? Are these demonstrators even aware of what international law states regarding the capture of combatants engaging in military or hostile operations while wearing civilian clothes or the uniform of your enemy?

I also note several members of the Catholic clergy involved in this affair. I guess they didn't screw things up badly enough in Central America in the 80s so they need to try their hand at this traiterous conduct again. At least this time, they will not be able to provide direct assistance and actively aid the terrorists.

You make some excellent points that always need repeating, which I'm glad you did.

A big reason that Gitmo is so controversial is that the majority of the Democrat Party, including their army of lawyers, don't understand the Geneva Convention. Or maybe they do and they're just looking for another politcal weapon to discredit Bush and gain power.

It may be fact, and you may be able to document it with ease, but that doesn't change the fact that by merely bringing up the issue, one is guilty of "hate," and as we all know, "fill-in-the-blank-phobia" is the "worst kind of terrorism."

See, isn't that easy? Seriously, how does one raise these points and make the argument when as soon as you open your mouth publicly you are greeted by a fusilade of screams of "hate" and marched off to the reeducation camps?

Dallas to host peace forum
Conference aims to help women defuse conflicts worldwide

For the third time in two decades, women from around the world will converge on Dallas to discuss peace.

The inaugural International Women’s Peace Conference was held at SMU in 1988. The second edition came 11 years later. The third will be July 10-15 at the Adam’s Mark Hotel.

“Our mission is to provide a safe haven for women from countries all over the world to meet, confer and formulate an action plan for world peace,” said Carol Crabtree Donovan, conference chairwoman. “The purpose of the conference is to empower peacemakers by teaching peace skills, such as mediation, negotiation and communication.”

And it only costs $150 to $250 to get in. Such a deal.

OT sorta

Looks like the Canadian Airlines are getting it.

Canada's airlines will have greater leeway to bar passengers who appear to be dangerous under a proposed rule change the Ministry of Transportation announced Saturday.
The new rule would "strengthen air operators' ability to protect the safety of all passengers and crew by refusing to board those who may represent a threat to that safety," the ministry said in a statement.

"The proposed regulatory amendment to the Canadian Aviation Regulations would deal with passengers whose words or actions could interfere with the safe operation of the aircraft and create an unintended hazard for the aircraft, its crew and its passengers," the statement said.

The rule would create four classes of threats, from inappropriate language to air sabotage.

Current rules open airlines to lawsuits and place the burden on airlines to justify the refusal of service.

4) The fact that one of the things that got Wolfie kicked out of the World Bunk was that he went on an anti-corruption rampage and exposed a lot of dirty underwear including Kofi's.

5) The use of torture on a regular basis in Rhodesia and Iran on anybody who appears to be an opponent.

At Least 39 Dead in Gunbattle Between Islamic Militants, Security Forces in Lebanon

TRIPOLI, Lebanon — Lebanese tanks pounded the headquarters of a group with suspected links to Al Qaeda in a Palestinian refugee camp near Tripoli Sunday after the northern city's worst clashes in two decades killed 22 soldiers and 17 militants.

Of course they still managed to do aback door blame Israel comment.

Hundreds of Lebanese applauded at the army as its tanks shelled the camp — a sign of the long-standing tensions between some Lebanese and the tens of thousands of Palestinians who took refuge from fighting in Israel over the past decades.

Earlier Sunday, Olmert...said the cabinet would vote on officially defining the area around Gaza as "confrontation line" towns, and promised to work to set up at least 200 protected rooms in the space of a month in towns affected by Kassam attacks.

He added that the government would make every effort to increase compensation for residents of the Gaza periphery - not only for direct damage, but also for loss of income due to the rocket fire.

In addition, the prime minister said the government would fund summer camps for children in the Gaza area.

The cabinet was also expected to discuss the possibility of aiding Fatah in its battle with Hamas by allowing either Egypt or Jordan to transfer weapons, ammunition and other military equipment to Fatah forces.

Is it known how that discussion, mentioned at the end, went?

Denmark's Little Mermaid statue draped in Muslim dress and veil

The Associated PressPublished: May 20, 2007

COPENHAGEN, Denmark: The Little Mermaid statue in Denmark's capital was found draped in Muslim dress and a head scarf Sunday morning, police said.

After receiving a telephone call, officers drove to the site and removed the garments, said Copenhagen police spokesman Jorgen Thomsen

The Little Mermaid was created by Danish sculptor Edvard Eriksen in tribute to Danish storyteller Hans Christian Andersen. Sitting on a rock at the entrance of Copenhagen harbor since 1913, she draws an estimated 1 million visitors a year, and is occasionally targeted by vandals.

She has been beheaded and doused in paint several times. Four years ago, the statue was blown off its perch by vandals who used explosives.

In 2004, someone put a burqa, the head-to-toe Islamic robe, on the statue along with a sign saying "Turkey in the EU?" in reference to Turkey's bid to join the European Union.

Okay, good. For a dog that size you can give her half of an Immodium A-D tablet (over the counter people medicine for diarrhea). Give one / half now and one/half right before bed.

Take away food except for a little rice, and make sure you continue with water so as not to get dehydrated.

If her nose is cool, she probably doesn't have a fever. Don't worry about that then.

Look at her gums right now. See the color around her gum line. Memorize what it looks like. It should be nicely pink. Now - check the gums periodically. If they start to turn pale, it might be time to take her to an Animal ER. I doubt that this is going to happen.

As far as the trembling, dogs often tremble when stressed or weak. Diarrhea can be making her weak. Let her rest tonight as much as possible, and I would suggest you get in early tomorrow to see your vet.

My vet, who I like a lot, had me all nervous with talk about xrays and operations. Then I spoke to my longtime friends at my local pet supply shop/shelter and they said it was probably his joints and to try glucosamine. Lord knows why I didn't think of that myself having been through it with my Alaskan Malamute. He was fine after a few days too.

If your doggie is 9, then there's a good chance she's got stiff painful joints. You can also give dogs buffered aspirin for pain. Dosage according to their size of course. Good luck!

Btw, Ii really enjoyed the slide show. Very impressed with the quality of the images. Tough job to accomplish while dealing with the moonbats.

Thanks for warm words and support.

Let's see how Al-BBC immediately plays "suffering" card:

[Link: news.bbc.co.uk...]

'People are suffering'

The attack on Mr al-Hayya's home was thought to have injured some of his family members.

Shortly after the air strike, Mr al-Hayya visited Gaza City's Shifa hospital, where those wounded were being treated, the Associated Press reported.

"We will go ahead despite the challenges, despite the martyrs, despite the pain that I am suffering and my people are suffering," he told reporters.

You see, not a word about people of Sderot who suffer from barbaric barrage of missiles launched by Hamas fascists, but when Hamas scum is hit........ you guess it, people start suffering.

OT

I spent most of today putting together a post, and now everyone's scooped me on all the news from Pakistan, including St. P. Oh well, there's always news on terrorism from Pakistan.

My feelings will be terribly hurt though if y'all don't go read this article on Hydrogen :) I'll fit as much as I can in below:

The race for clean burning hydrogen fuel vehicles is on; especially now that Man-Made-Global-Warming (MMGW) is the new century rage. What we really need is more energy, not griping, posturing, and moaning about global warming. Here’s an alarming projection borrowed from Space Review to prove the point:

Last year the academic quarterly Daedalus published an article by Daniel Nocera of MIT in which he laid out a credible and alarming vision of this world’s future energy demands. He pointed out that in 2002 the whole world “burned energy at a rate of 13.3 TW [terawatts]” and he calculated that “if 9 billion people adopt the current standard of living for a US resident… the world would need an astronomical 102 TW of energy in 2050.” He also pointed out that “If everyone adopts Equatorial Guinea’s current living standards, we will need 30.4 TW by 2050.”

However by happy accident the research fueled by the MMGW pseudo-crisis might drive us where we need to go anyway.

Before you read the rest however, please think on this Dynamic but historically accurate bullet-point view of how the future usually unfolds:

There’s not a single “best way” to do anything.
Myriad paths must be explored before we find the few that lead to future destinations we really desire, potential paths ignored are possibilities unrealized.
The most effective and appealing future paths will become the chosen ones without having to force adherence through regulation.
There are many people actively exploring paths and we are likely to find more than the few means we need to reach our destination relatively quickly.
What’s around any bend towards the future are unknowns, so we can’t plan the future but we can prepare for it.
Since I’ve been promoting H2ICE (Hydrogen Internal Combustion Engines) for a year without delving into details, it’s now time to explain the long term need. The inspiration for this post comes from the latest claim of a solution that is being pimped in many papers. While aluminum-gallium electrolysis sounds good on the surface there are problems with the approach, but on the other hand it doesn’t hurt to look.

The Jawa Report enumerates a few of the mentioned problems here. Indeed most avenues of Hydrogen fuel research use hydrogen fuel cells as opposed to H2ICE engines, but I am going to say that it’s much too soon to declare the H2ICE D.O.A. as Russell Seitz does here in fabulous manner. Russ’s objections boil down to a engineering and materials- science challenges, and cost. The picture at the top of the post demonstrates that the engineering and materials science problems can be overcome, so I’m not going to worry overmuch about them here.

(Hint: you would be well-served to favorite Russell’s Site, it’s worth a read at least once a week, and that search link for hydrogen fuel cells also gets you to a handy-dandy science-only search engine that’s worthy of bookmark as well.)

That leaves us with cost; to explain why I’m not worried about cost it’s time to take a look at what world energy demand will be assuming normal electric use and a fleet of Hydrogen vehicles, as this paper from Paul Kruger does.

I went to Yahoo Groups, typed in Hawkish Politics...nothing. :(

So, I typed in Hawkish 'Groups' and got arabamericankillergirls. LOL

Thanks very much, though. I will keep looking!

Friggin' anti-Gitmo pussies!

I do have to agree with them we shouldn't have housed them on Gitmo, instead we should have housed them offshore, at about 50 fathoms with cement overshoes!
I find it a bit curious that we are actually guilty of religious oppression, by denying them death and the vestal virgin thing. Unfortunately the koran (Google: "Gitmo toilet paper") does fail to mention that the virgins are sheep! As it is in life, it shall be in death!

By the way, Al-BBC should see what those "crude" and "home-made" missiles are able to do:

Note Gas Truck passing seconds before explosion.

Yeah, I saw that yesterday, and it has remained in the back of my mind with horror ever since.....pound, pound, pound --every day......and that destructive ! ! ! ):

I cannot, I repeat, comprehend such "restraint" as Israel exhibits, in the face of that!

I remember there was time when only "extreme-right" politicians could risk to propose shelling populated areas from where kassams are launched. Now we hear on the radio and in press more and more this kind of anti-kassam strategy.
I'm sure that if every kassam was answered by 10-15 155mm shells directly into the launch site, kassams would stop flying very quickly.

I think that is what was in Truman's mind, when he agreed to that devastating strategy to end Japan's reach.

It worked, but oh my.....I am so glad I didn't have to be in his decision-shoes! Sometimes I'm glad I'm a woman..... :)

What a bunch of liars.
They are not against torture.
When or where have they ever protested against torture before? Iraq before? Iran? Syria?
The Sudan? Red China? The USSR? Vietnam? Cambodia? East Germany? Cuba? They must have had poetry readings that day and could not protest.

These libs in the big cities want to bet their asses we are not at war, fine.
Let em.
Call the UN and CAIR when you need help.
Us red state hicks will keep our guardsmen, firemen, and rescue personnel home next time.

Do you think they would have been for letting the SS troops and the rest of the German soldiers out of their prison camps back in WWII? Which were deep inside the US southwest and not on Cuban soil and no doubt all those soldiers were subject to interrogation that may give US military intelligence useful information to pass on to the frontlines.

But unlike the German Soldier, the Jihadi is a creature that fights in civilian cloths, purposely targets civilians or uses them for human shields, and follows no code of military conduct nor is part of any nations’ military therefore can not be afforded protections of the Geneva Convention (which these moonbat twits don’t understand in the first place) and under the Geneva Convention their treatment as prisoners is up to the imprisoning Country. Because they purposely wear civilian clothing with no distinguishable ranks and badges for branch of service they can be executed as spies, even shot and killed onsite by soldiers in the field without any process for capture and holding. But since the information inside their heads is so important and for better PR the US had decided to keep them in a safe and secure area.

The seminar referred to does not, IMHO, keep a woman safe. Negotiating and mediating sometimes just doesn't fit the circumstance.

Oh, I would disagree with that. Sometimes, however, you first have to set the terms of the negotiation and mediation. In certain cases, those terms require a couple of well-placed rounds to establish one's own negotiating position. Now, it may be in certain cases that the "negotiatee" is no longer responsive, but then that just shortens the negotiation process, doesn't it?
