NY Post: Spitzer Has Been a John for At Least Six Years

Tue, Mar 11, 2008 at 11:44:51 am PDT

Come on, Spitzer. Just resign, already. It’s only going to get worse. Spitzer has used hookers for six years.

March 11, 2008 — Gov. Eliot Spitzer has been soliciting high-priced hookers for at least six years and possibly for more than a decade, sources tell The Post.

The revelation yesterday that the crusading governor was in fact “Client 9” named in a federal prostitution indictment did not shock insiders in the city’s sex industry.

Sources tell The Post that Spitzer had frequented high-priced hookers as far back as 2002 and possibly earlier.

UPDATE at 3/11/08 11:49:51 am:

Oh yes — did I mention that Spitzer is a Democrat? And a Daily Kos diarist?

From Dana Milbank's column in the Washington Post:

Silda Wall Spitzer looked like a victim of food poisoning as she stood by her man's side. She cast her eyes downward at the 183-word statement while he read it. She raised her glance only briefly, when the governor admitted he had "acted in a way that violates my obligation to my family," when he offered an apology "to the public, whom I promised better," and again when he pledged to "dedicate some time to regain the trust of my family."

The silent Mrs. Spitzer -- Harvard law school graduate, corporate lawyer, nonprofit founder and mother of the governor's three daughters -- then led Client 9 away from the lectern.

10 Artiste  Tue, Mar 11, 2008 11:49:54am

Hmmm. When he was prosecuting prostitution rings, was he wiping out the competition, or was he seeking revenge because the others weren't satisfying is perverted needs? Or maybe he couldn't afford to pay them.

"Hoist with his own petard" is what I think about this.....If he was just some idiot doing this, it's a tragedy, for him and his family. But, since Gov. Spitzer has been up on his high horse for so long, it's almost comical to watch him fall off that stead now.....that is amazing. He's not some regular guy, he is the g-damn Governor! Did he think nobody would notice?

I just spoke with a friend of mine who worked for the Emperor's Club escort service here in LA for about a year....She was not an escort, she arranged meetings between the men and the girls.

Found the job on Craig's List.

Thankfully she quit about a month ago.

She told me that some of her former co-workers have already received calls from the FBI.

She also told me that many of the customers are Arab
businessmen....most of the rest are European businessmen.

People, you know, and I know that Gov. Spitzer's main problem here is that he is not elected out of the state of Mass.

See Mr. Frank's boyfriend's gay callboy ring. Hasn't hurt Barney.

See Mr. Kennedy's former campaign worker Mary Jo. Hasn't hurt Teddy.

See Mr. Studds' ability to 'turn the page' while he was in office. Didn't hurt Gerry.

Eliot should move to Mass. announce for the governorship, and watch the accolades roll in.

As the resident of a poor, backward Democratic state I can only take my hat off and bow my head to my betters.

And I will regret
What I did for sex,
What I did for sex.

Look, my eyes are dry.
But I feel lots of sorrow.
Let my pecker lead the way.
And it’s gonna vex--
What I did for sex,
What I did for sex.

Gone,
My career is gone.
Never travel on,
Get into the White House.

Kiss my job goodbye,
And pack my stuff tomorrow.
Hope that I don’t
Land
In jail.
Can’t forget
I’ll regret
What I did for sex.
What I did for sex..

Just a guess, but perhaps what he gets for $4300/hr. is prestige, boasting rights. Only such prodigies as oil sheiks, drug lords, and politicians can afford such luxury.

re: #5 Alouette

Can someone please explain, what was he getting for $4,300 an hour? Open heart surgery and a hump? Brain surgery and a blow job? Legal advice and a screw (but that's redundant)

As I detailed in a post yesterday, it only works out to $1,500 an hour.

He gave the hooker $4,300, but $1,700 of that was a down payment on a future assignation. $2,600 was fort that night's screw, plus he had $400 credit from a proevious payment, for a total of $3,000 for the night. He could have spent as much as four hours with her, but he only lasted for two hours before leaving.

$3,000 ÷ 2 hours = $1,500 per hour.

As for what he got for $1,500/hour: hmmmm, living in the San Francisco area as I do, my sexual imagination is too fertile, so I'd better stop typing.

4K an hour might make sense in the context of the old maxim that you're paying the lady to go away afterwards, not for her companionship.

When you consider that you can totally like, lose your job as a/an (insert political office here), or, you know, ruin your marriage... Yah... maybe you'll have to pay extra to keep it on the down low?

Run on, ducking and dodging
Run on, children, for a long time
Let me tell you God Almighty gonna cut you down

You might throw your rock, hide your head
Work in the dark with your fellow men
Sure as God made you rich and poor
You're gonna reap just what you sow...

I posted this on the dead thread a few minutes ago...

A friend of mine used to work for Spitzer while he was AG. Maybe these two should talk...

BTW, he's been very happy since he left his employ, and is thanking his lucky stars he made the move when he did.

State in Limbo Awaiting Word on Spitzer

Lt. Gov. David A. Paterson said he was in limbo on Tuesday afternoon as he and the rest of the state awaited word on whether Gov. Eliot Spitzer would resign.

I don't deny that there would be an Israeli presence there. I am not saying that these could not be Israeli police. I'm just stating that I don't think that these guys are necessarily.

(I remember a video of "Israeli soldiers" beating a poor innocent Phakestinian. After a couple months of it going around, it finally became apparent that they weren't Israeli soldiers at all but instead Phakestinian "security forces" beating a "zionist spy". This was admitted only after the damage to the IDF was done however, of course)

Quite a few from folks with...south asian?...names, excusing poor Eliot for doing something that isn't even illegal in some countries. I guess they have no concept of what a Governor or Attorney General should be up to. And a number from the States bemoaning the continued presidency of global war criminal Chimpy Bushitler, while Citizen Spitzer goes down for the Mann Act.

One thing you can be sure of -- the media will find out exactly which type(s) of bizarre sexual behavior Spitzer was addicted to. There probably hundreds of reporters burning up the phone lines right now to dig this up.

How Did Gov. Spitzer Slip Security Leash?
[Link: abcnews.go.com...]

ABC News has learned that Spitzer routinely tried to push off the one or two state police officers who accompanied him out of town, suggesting to the troopers that they didn't need to accompany him as he went to the gym or telling them he was going to turn in early.

Currently, senior officials have asked the New York State Police to take a hard look to determine what, if anything, members of the security detail could or should have known. So far, it does not appear those troopers "looked the other way" and turned a blind eye to the governor's alleged trysts.

According to senior law enforcement officials, Eliot Spitzer, "going back to when he was attorney general," at times kept his security detail at a distance and had been known to tell troopers to stay behind with the car while he walked to his office, a restaurant or a function. Sources said that even at its tightest, the Spitzer public security detail was far smaller than the full phalanx that his predecessor, former Gov. George Pataki, employed at large public functions.

Alan Dershowitz attacked America for being a ''pandering society and hypocritical society,'' since this wouldn’t even make the back pages of a newspaper in sophisticated Europe. As far as I know, no M-4 carbines (short M-16), or M-203 40mm grenade launchers were provided to the Palithugs.

The vehicle shown in the photo series is an AIL Storm (or Sufa). Based on the Jeep Wrangler. Although early models are available to the civilian public, they don't come with that paint job, and I don't think they were given to the Palithugs.

Spitzer's Comet goes streaking through the sky on it's way to a fiery death in the atmosphere of it's own arrogance.

Silly Eliot, tricks are for kids.

Call Teddy K for advice on how to get out of "girl trouble".

If the hooker was here illegally, would he still give her a driver's license?

Was she simply doing the jobs that American wives won't do?

$5,500.00 per hour seems cheap when you think how hard it must be to make a toad like Spitzer forget how pathetic he is.

#197 zombie

And while I agree they're crazy, I'm not sure how safe they are; one of them was getting on my nerves with all the attention he was paying my young son, during a recent visit to comic book convention.

(My son is autistic, but, despite that, a warm and friendly kid, who enjoys meeting people, and loves costumed characters. He got a hug from a strictly-on-the-level Darth Vader, and the superheroes and Jedi knights who pose with convention goers are always very kind to him, eager to pose with him for pictures. I don't want some creep taking advantage of his innocence, or spoiling the comeraderie that's existed at such conventions up till now.)

Yes, some of them use the costumes to hide sinister intentions.

Babba, much of the furry scene is a spinoff of the cosplay scene, in which people dress up as Japanese cartoon characters. The majority of them are super-hero types, but there a big sub-gerne of erotic/animal cartoons, and hence cosplayers who dress up that way as well.

the msm is reporting that these are "masked Israeli border police", yet they have zero uniform markings. The Israeli uniforms all have shoulder identification iirc. Additionally, the border police wear blue uniforms.

Now the Palestinian "security forces" have the same uniforms, weapons etc., (donated by Israel,.... we all remember that don't we?....) and have a penchent for covering their faces.

something seems fishy to me.

#269 BabbaZee

One problem with anime/manga (I don't want to get too off-topic by getting into subject of Japanese cartooning/animation) is that, over there, it really is considered not just for kids. Therefore, you have purely kids' stuff: "Doraemon", "My Neighbor Totorro", "Pokemon", etc. Then you have more middle-school, older kid, but still G-rated stuff, such as "The Cat Returns", and any number of icky-sweet or nicely sweet light romance stories. Then you have a lot of sci-fi, fantasy, really adult stuff, such as "Appleseed", "Akira", "Ghost in the Shell"; sometimes dealing with violence, and/or sex (though they're not pornographic, or sadistic) always with very complex ideas and storylines, which really aren't for kids, and were never intended for kids. And, of course, since you've got pervs in Japan, just like everywhere else, you've got lots 'n lotsa animated/drawn porn. So, it's not like here, where Disney/Pixar pretty much has a monopoly on animation, and it is aimed at kids (even though many adults enjoy those films too.)

As for furries being a threat to kids. . . see my earlier post.

You know, the "Darths" are actually among the nicest, most gentlemanly guys to show up at the conventions! Always nice (in a non-perv, non-creepy way) to the kids, always willing to pose, and be photographed. Out here on the West Coast, there's also a Storm Trooper Elvis, complete with Las Vegas cape.

Since we hang around artists' alley a lot, many of the artists, particularly the female ones, are fond of Kid Kamel, and always give him a hug. And one even did a free drawing for him once.

On the receiving end, quite possible, though I think it would be unlikely that a seasoned agency hooker would let someone else do that to them without at least a third party present. That sort of thing is a major red flag that "working girls" would be cautioned against.

I'm thinking the more prosaic whipping/caning and/or "water sports".

But as usual, I think Charles has this right. With Spitzer apparently doing this for years (ie involving MANY prostitutes) the truth will "leak" (heh) out sooner or later. Its probable that the investigators already know the "score" there.

I'd hate to be his wife. On the other hand, she will probably get a nice settlement in a divorce.

Given the amount of moneyhe spent, and the otherwise square nature of the guy, my guess is that there is more to this story than a rich lawyer having his jollies.

What was Mrs. Spitzer doing all these years? Was Elliot sleeping on the sofa for some other reason?

Frankly, I know guys whose wives prevent such behavior by keeping them "exhausted" -- so to speak. It's not their intention, of course, but it's the result.

On the other hand, it's possible that these ladies had a "specialty" that Mrs. Spitzer, reasonably, was not interested in.

It's all useless speculation. What he did had a suicidal ring to it.

And PLEASE, lets not make this partisan -- we all know about Eisenhower's English girlfriend, and Harding's many nights at the bordellos of Washington.

Waiting for the day when one of these unrepentant guys decide to deliver their fake apology without the humiliated wife huddling behind him in a fake show of support.

I can begin to understand a sexual pervert needing to pay a prostitute (understand - not condone/God help these women) .. but it takes a fully committed bum to place his wife in the position Spitzer placed her in yesterday when he publicly humiliated her. Spitzer has come out as a true-blue bum.

Anyone in the MSM bothering to report what their enemy in the White House has done to actually interfere w/sex trafficking?

Unlike Spitzer's zealous, self-aggrandizing and ruinous attacks on people, whether criminal or not, it's substantial:

Still trying to visualize a Jewish pimp.

Close your eyes and think of Elliot Spitzer .. but wait, he's a John, not a pimp, right?

Sure: remember Spitzer tried to ruin Merrill Lynch and AIG. He has driven businesses out of New York - watch - he will resist resigning. He is an egomaniac who really thinks that the world needs him.

394 Daisy  Tue, Mar 11, 2008 1:44:26pm

Are we guessing his perversion?

Well, my best guess is that he's a serious masochist (when it comes to sex, at any rate). He's certainly a sadist in his working life .. this man takes a perverted joy in ruining other people's lives .. and w/his family (who gets the left overs) he's a fake 'good guy'.

Spitzer is one very compartmentalized fellow.

As bad as the man is, I'm hoping he doesn't kill himself. I believe he's at risk.

Yep. Good point.

Eliot's jihad against Hank Greenberg and insurance behemoth AIG, sure had a happy ending, didn't it? Shareholders are still down nearly 50%. Eliot proved to be a value destroyer, costing these holders $billions upon $billions in lost market capitalization.

And why?

Hank Greenberg was forced to resign in disgrace. Eliot used the press to exorciate this man, who had been AIG's Chairman for 40 years, publicly accusing him numerous times of illegal activity.

In the end, Eliot never "charged" Greenberg with anything, in his capacity as NYS AG. No indictment, no crime or illegal activity, no nothing.

Just $billions in lost value for shareholders.

Little wonder Wall Street and the Dow roared up today.

Maybe he could try it, but he probably wouldn't get away with it.

Spitzer's reputation as a spotless figure of law and order is irreparably damaged, and he doesn't have any political capital left to spend. Even if he did get away with it, he'd be a lame duck the rest of his term, unable to get anything done, and unable to hold elected office again.

Also the Feds probably have the goods on Spitzer, and the Feds are still under a Republican administration. This doesn't have to be partisan, but I don't see why it can't be given the Dem's squeezing of Republican figures (eg Scooter).

If Spitzer isn't compliant, the Feds could squeeze him pretty hard, Spitzer-style. For example, the Feds don't have to actually win a case against him in a court of law to further humiliate and damage him. All they'd have to do is slowly leak the details of his trysts, etc. Tracking the money he spend on hookers might be an interesting exercise too, and there is no reason the Feds couldn't go back through his records for ten years, for example. Merely being indicted and on trial would assure that he would be utterly incapable of getting anything done in office, and the ongoing negative press coverage would be hard to endure.

What I read into the "unsafe" reference in the transcript was simply that he wanted to ride bareback and the girl was implying the deal would be strictly "no glove, no love."

Sadly, no. On TV now, they say he is 'in negotiations'.

They do not expect a resignation today, and there may very well be articles of impeachment in 48 hours if he does not resign.

Our State is frozen in time, and the State budget is in limbo. I expect nothing good from Spitzer.

We are a ship without a rudder.

Liberals certainly are masochistic ... the rush to replace perfectly lovely incandescent light bulbs for ugly CFL's being only one case in point. :) However, I'm guessing his masochism was of a sexual nature and very, very dark, at that.

I have not seen this mentioned. He was the Attorney General of the State of New York for many years before he was the Governor. And he has been the Governor of over a year now. What the hell were his 24 hour State Trooper protection detail doing while he was being serviced? And, this is a legal question, who was paying for his protection while he was doing the nasty?

Maybe his security detail was trained by Arkansas State Troopers?

Aye, indeed, Nana. The old saying, "todays headlines is tomorrows fish and chip wrapper" is ever true. You will find that the longer he can hang in there, the better chance he has of staying.

And the worse the stink will be!

He has few viable options, I hope, as the Republicans intend to impeach him within the next 48 hours if he does not stand down. He may very well be trying to cut a deal with the Feds...but the info gathered on him with wire taps, etc., and the monitoring of his personal bank account, after he withdrew over $10,000? They were laws brought about because of 9/11, to try and catch terrorists. His ego is so enormous that he text messaged, and sent and received emails, the very thing he used against those he prosecuted as Atty. General of NY State, feeling that he was just too good by half to even raise any suspicions. He had been interviewed earlier on TV, a year or so ago, telling the reporter that these are things no one should be stupid enough to do! The channel has had a good laugh replaying it a few times. We shall see. Meanwhile NY State is in limbo...

425 Perplexed  Tue, Mar 11, 2008 3:25:14pm

"coqui" -

No - though more importantly they now make or at least sponsor NASCAR winners. First "foreign" make to do so since 1954 when there was a Jaguar win - after which they were banned by rules changes.
My how things have changed.
As for the soon to be FORMER Governor of New York - he may have been a "John" for 6 years. He HAS been an egomaniacal madman fro far longer than that.

(As somebody else on this thread pointed out, call girls probably pay Jimmuh to stay away from them; I mean look at that face! Bleeeaaagghhh!)

#416 Scaramouche

Good link!

Of course you realize, those gals are probably not the models/college students/glamorous young professionals they claim to be. And the fact that they don't show their faces (to protect their "privacy") means that the business can circulate, and continue to circulate, a old photos they get from modeling agencies and acting agencies. (The much less prestigious L.A. and Orange County weeklies use the same trick when advertising stud-muffins, all-nude dancers and "Hot phone sex"!; they've been recycling some of their old photos for years. A lot of those faces, and surgically enhanced boobs, keep popping up over and over.)

Apparently, he "pledged to dedicate some time to regain the trust of my family."
Yeah. Some time. A certain amount. I'd give him some time.

These prominent wives always help their Needle-D**k turkey cock husbands weather the storm, so discrete, usually they don't even divorce 'em at all, or not until they are out of the news. Why, I wonder. These wives are usually very classy, worthy and accomplished, attractive women. Arrogant, greedy dipwad ruins her life, wounds and sullies her life, to get a shellacking from some specialty whore. Glad to know he will spend Some Time, from his busy freaking schedule.

I wish that one of these women would let the turd make a fake apology, then quietly announce that the very sight of him makes her want to vomit, she hopes he goes to jail for 10 years for misappropriation and malfeasance, that it will be a blessed relief to be rid of him.
I got some time for ya'
