The problem for the White House was the more the esteemed professor talked, the more trouble he created for his friend, the president. The clever photo-op sans audio was crafted to yank the director of the W.E.B. Du Bois Institute for African and African American Research off the stage, lest anyone begin to question what is being taught at Harvard these days.

125 JacksonTn  Sun, Aug 2, 2009 9:37:01pm

I think that anyone on this or any other blog who embraces anything about Soros is just crazy …. Yeah and I am especially talking about Cato as he was talking about Soros earlier …. Cato you may be smart but I think in this Soros crap you are crazy …

That friggin guy has been only about himself for a long long time and he uses any vehicle necessary to get what he wants … whether it be victims of the Germans (yes, he was a child at the time but he never admits his mistakes only the circumstances) …. I just do not get anyone EVER dismissing his actions of recent … or his economic actions towards any country to take down their economy … and if I am wrong … then you tell me where I am wrong …

Obama and the democrats were his last most recent vehicle … he drives whatever bus will get him to where he wants to be .. he is anti-American …

Why is he accepted? … why? … and why are the people he endorses accepted? … we discussed this at length during the campaign on this blog … I am not sure why the things that were discussed here during the campaign are sometimes disregarded now … and that is not only about the Soros stuff …

What changed? Just because Obama is president now does NOT mean the things that happened before should be pushed under the rug …

I know that time goes on but does it make it better by just forgetting? … I am so confused … what was even the point of the discussions of Obama and his past relationships? … because I think they tell us very much about a person .. but we were not allowed to “see” anything about Obama …

On this blog we asked “why” we were not allowed to see and now it does not seem to matter … we make fun of the birth certificate which is fine because it was and is crap but what about the other stuff .. he is getting a pass and I don’t care how that sounds …

Thanks Shiplord Kirel for a wonderful take on the nirther insanity.

I'm not so sure, however, that we're going to see a wholesale return to sanity - on either side - very soon.

and the country bleeds.

Biden doesn't provoke the feelings of hate that Obama, Bush and Palin do. Neither does John McCain. Both Biden and McCain were (and McCain still is) long-serving senators whose views were well known and not crazy. You can't really ramp up the hate for people like that. I'm jumping in late here, but the moonbats on digg, Kos, et al. were working themselves up into a good frenzy of hatred for McCain by the end there. Granted, he was generally liked by all until the election, but after the primary was over, they were screaming about how he was a crazy, senile warmonger who literally enjoyed war for no other reason than that he loved the thought of blood being spilled.

re: #159 tradewind
Hi tradewind - just a drive by here but, from your link:

The op-ed marks yet another salvo in the back-and-forth between Congress and the CIA director over the agency's national security initiatives during the Bush administration.

The most recent had come after the CIA Panetta revealed the Bush administration had withheld briefings about some programs targeting terrorist leaders.

Panetta complained that his agency "continues to pay a price for enduring disputes over policies that no longer exist" and that conflicts with lawmakers "fuel a climate of suspicion and partisanship on Capitol Hill that our intelligence officers — and our country — would be better off without." [correction made by realwest]

Panetta starts what will be and so far certainly appears to be a lie about the CIA, interrogation techniques, Cheney and Bush, all designed to deflect criticism from that idiot Pelosi and NOW he discovers that the "disclosures" (about intelligence gathering and interrogation techniques that were NEVER PUT IN PLACE BY THE CIA), may be hurting the CIA?
That's definitely a cover my ass op ed he's doing or did.

By the way, we are taking votes for our media wing's next distraction.

Recently we have been developing a marriage between Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton, only to have them split in a murder/suicide after Lindsay becomes pregnant.

But one of our media interns believes that it would distract your media even longer if the baby were rescued from the dying Lindsay, and then there could be a custody battle.

We would like as an informal poll, to know which father would be the most distracting to your masses:

A) O.J. Simpson

B) Dr. Gates

C) Shatner

D) Michael Jackson's frozen sperm

E) Yasser Arafat's frozen sperm
