Apocalypse rules throw out the normal force org, but ramps up the points significantly. I was using IG storm troopers to infiltrate and take out key objectives, A Baneblade with Leman Russ and sentinels as fire support, with Spacewolves to assault. He got to use Black Legion to support a set of ruins and was allowed to use various structures to port in his daemons. My goal was to take out the ruins and demolish the central temple, his job was to defend long enough to call out his Daemon Princes. My infiltrators were able to demolish the Temple early, but we fought out the rest of the battle in a slugging match.

Now there’s a cheerful thought.
One of the most influential writers about SM talks about considering suicide when he realized he was fantasizing about tying up and hurting women. He told himself if he thought there was the slightest chance he would act on his fantasies, he would kill himself.
He went on to live a long and happy life and become a great sexuality educator, but he also wasn’t actually a psychopath, just afraid he might be.

I have a problem with it. Try to imagine being Cameron Todd Willingham, a condemned innocent, and that you’re being given that choice to end an unbearable existence, knowing that the act itself would cast doubt on any future exculpatory evidence. I think presenting the choice itself constitutes a kind of cruel and unusual mental torture.
But then the death penalty itself strikes me as a cost-ineffective, codified devaluing of human life with precious little to offer modern society.

I’m actually opposed to the death penalty, except in what I refer to as clawhammer cases, but I have to say that your example give me pause.

Take all of your wasted honor
Every little past frustration
Take all of your so-called problems,
Better put ‘em in quotations
Say what you need to say [x8]
Walking like a one man army
Fighting with the shadows in your head
Living out the same old moment
Knowing you’d be better off instead,
If you could only …
Say what you need to say [x8]
Have no fear for giving in
Have no fear for giving over
You’d better know that in the end
Its better to say too much
Then never say what you need to say again
Even if your hands are shaking
And your faith is broken
Even as the eyes are closing
Do it with a heart wide open

I think we’ve learned a lot today!
Neil Finn can’t write a bad song.
Check out this classic:
Newt Gingrich is a political whore.
Sarah Palin is a moron (Doh!)
The Mosque at Ground Zero used to be a Burlington Coat Factory store, which is hardly hallowed ground.
The Republican Party, because GW and Rove have left the stage, has become the Party of hate, rage, and bigotry.
Does that sum it up? I think it does.

I’m willing to bet it’s a bunch of Paulians astroturfing for a Tea Bagger audience. The video only got 140 views on Youtube and the forum at the film website only has one topic and one comment.
I think it’ll go viral next week. These idiots are making movies about assassinating politicians and their families while promoting Tea Parties on their webpage. The filmakers are also crowing about their “free thinking” ideals about blending anti-capitalist LaRouche crap with Paulian Birch Society Libertarianism. It’s a big win for the dems.

Figured that perhaps, just perhaps, it might turn into a common ground where those from all political groups who were fed up with government waste and inefficiency could come together and join forces.
Now? It’s become an arm of the Libertarian Party in all but name, commandeered by the right-wing fringe who have perverted what was righteous anger and desire for movement forward into hatred, bigotry, racism, and so forth. Times I think they might as well just stop playing around, put on the white robes, and make it easier for others to understand just what they truly believe.

Interesting question, interesting thing I read earlier @ TPM regarding the protest against the Mosque & the reference to the “families” who are against it. Well apparently they cannot find much on the families different websites, and the only family member mentioned again & again is the co-founder with Liz Cheney of Keep America Safe. Also, i had a Battletech game yesterday. It was a brutal urban battle. My side lost, but only barely. Ender’s game, by Orson Scott Card, is a science fiction short story, later expanded into a full length novel. One of the plot lines is that Andrew Wiggins, aka Ender, at age 8 or so is being trained as a space-general for a war with an alien species. The thinking is that he’ll be unorthodox and that will give us the edge.
Ender is put through the wringer, facing impossible odds in the “battle game”, played in space as a sort of laser tag. But he finds a way to win. The victory conditions are not about winning on points, they’re about a sort of checkmate. Close attention to the victory conditions allows him to game the game and win against all odds. “The enemy’s gate is down.”

It was in response to the Russian invasion of Afghanistan, which resulted in the rise of the Taliban, which coddled Al Queda, who attacked us on 9/11.
All in all, Carter was correct in the boycott. Sorry to disagree, but that’s what happened.

The CCC was FDR’s best step domestically. But when everybody else pulls out of the depression faster than you, politics being graded on a curve, you don’t get an A.

Of course inadequacy, absent pride or corruption, just gets you on the “bad presidents” list. Like the list of bad chess players, that’s not a matter of moral failings. Just, failings.
Carter was inadequate and arrogant. But he still doesn’t make any sort of list of “worst Americans”. That’s a tall bar. Worst presidents, yeah.
