Right Wing Crackpot Chuck C. Johnson Wants You to Pay Him to Send Him a Story Tip

Right wing journalism at its griftiest
Wingnuts • Views: 22,414

Our hilarious Chuck C. Johnson story of the day: the guy who outs Ebola and rape victims and thinks President Obama is secretly gay has now launched something he calls a “tip engine:” Submit a Tip to GotNews - GotNews.

Lots of sites have a way for readers to send in story tips; at LGF we have a Contact link in our left sidebar that you can use for this purpose. What makes Chuck’s “tip engine” special is that he actually expects his tipsters to pay him for the privilege. Yes, you heard right.

And that’s not all. He also expects people who pay to send in a tip to give him their email addresses and phone numbers — which he will no doubt turn around and sell to someone else.

But seriously, why would anyone be crazy enough to give their phone number to a guy who does things like this?

TabletMag has introduced a “pay to comment” system, allegedly as a means of controlling trolls and spammers, so this idea didn’t originate with Chucky.

Yeah, but TabletMag has some really good stories. As for commenting, I can’t imagine paying to comment anywhere..

Who’d pay him for tips? The same people who’d want to push their insane conspiracy theories. The same people who want to spread their racist and bigoted beliefs to like minded people.

That’s his audience. He’s catering to the people who’d believe anything as insane as Obama is secretly gay (or Muslim or anti-Christian or anti-American) or worse. He’s catering to the Orly Taitz birthers and nut jobs who think that their padded room beliefs should get wider airing and for who Alex Jones isn’t quite far out there enough.

I see the line for a submission fee but I don’t see a field on the submission form for a credit card number, PayPal login or any other way to pay. So I don’t know how he’s gathering this money.

Maybe it shows up on the second page, or maybe he plans to bill people?

The whole thing is a mess, he’s setting himself up for more embarrassment. There is no way in hell whatever he’s set up is secure enough for anybody with any sense to trust their personal information to, assuming that he was personally trustworthy in the first place, which he isn’t.

I think a few “disposable” e-mail addresses, and maybe a buck or two to waste on a gift card could be well-spent sending him tips. I think he should try to investigate the alien base at the bottom of the Mariana Trench.

Chuck claims to be a practicing Catholic so….

(2)He’s never actually consummated his marriage
(3)Chuck’s shooting blanks.

Seriously though, I’ve noticed a lot of white supremacist, IQ obsessed people have been unable to spread their own supposedly superior seed. Sam Francis came to mind. (Of course, if you’ve ever seen a photo of Sam Francis, it’s not exactly a mystery why.)

The Islamic State beheaded 21 Egyptian Christians over the weekend, propping the severed heads on the victims’ backs, a barbaric slaughter that led Reverend Franklin Graham to ask, “Can you imagine the outcry if 21 Muslims had been beheaded by Christians?”

“Where is the universal condemnation by Muslim leaders around the world?” he asked.

So here was my day….

Got up this morning and walked the dogs in shorts and T. Messed around a while then headed out to do errands, one of them being shipping VB’s baby stuff (which I had planned to do last Saturday but procrastination attack). Stepped outside in weather that was 25 degrees colder. Back in for a sweatshirt.

Did one stop then went to the Staples to UPS the package. Store is closed down. Damn! OK, add the post office to the list (don’t say it). Got allll the way to the post office. Closed. Yeah, holiday. There was a Fiesta (grocery store) near there so I did my food shopping before coming back home to find another UPS store. Headed out again, got alllll the way to the UPS place, went in and reached for VB’s address in my purse. Not there. I had written it on the same notepaper as my grocery list having planned on stopping to do that first. I apparently threw the paper away. Too stupid to live, I am.

Came all the way back home to get the address again. By then it was pouring rain. That’s it. I’m done. The package is still sitting in the front seat of my truck. But I did get some nice Merlot while I was out.

VB, my apologies. It will be on it’s way tomorrow. Really.

They are too busy coddling with Hindutva extremists to stem the tide of “radical Islam” while these same Hindutva extremists are torching churches and forcing Christians to embrace Hinduism again.

re: #84 lawhawk

It’s ironic that Chuckles “complains” about birthers, all while consorting with Birther Queen Orly Taitz.

I’m pretty sure that behind the scenes he and Joel S Gilbert were pushed and backed in their Frank Marshall Davis bullshit by other Cruz boosters. @jlangdale posted an exchange he had with CCJ before their falling out where CCJ had gotten a tip from Maria Strollo Zack about Jeb Bush. Langdale pointed out that Zack was a huge Cruz supporter and was setting up a Cruz SuperPAC.

I wouldn’t be at all surprised if Zack and her nascent Strollo Group didn’t latch onto Gilbert and his insane Davis theory as a way of subverting the birthers citizenship claims while simultaneously trying to validate their suspicions about fraud surrounding Obama’s birth and parentage. Viewed this way CCJ and Gilbert have become willing tools of the Cruz campaign, feeding the birthers a “have your cake and eat it too” argument designed to get them to ignore Cruz’s Canadian birth while still being able to assert that Obama is lying about his origins.

Really.

Hey we’re not leaving for Israel until the end of March.

Kids usually have a great sense of fairness. I’m old enough to remember Jim Crow—the separate facilities, schools, restaurants (although whites would often go to Black restaurants for the food).

But I could never understand segregation, even though the adults tried to drum racism into my head. I was fortunate enough to be moved to Buffalo as a young kid, and even though the Catholic schools in my neighborhood were segregated, I met enough people who had fair-minded attitudes about race which helped, including some of the nuns.

1790s

Construction on the President’s House began in 1792 in Washington, D.C., a new capital situated in sparsely settled region far from a major population center. The decision to place the capital on land ceded by two slave states-Virginia and Maryland-ultimately influenced the acquisition of laborers to construct its public buildings. The D.C. commissioners, charged by Congress with building the new city under the direction of the president, initially planned to import workers from Europe to meet their labor needs. However, response to recruitment was dismal and soon they turned to African Americans - slave and free - to provide the bulk of labor that built the White House, the United States Capitol, and other early government buildings. I don’t know I left Texas a LONG time ago. I would imagine that the Muslims down there are probably going to try to get the word out, but they might not have much luck as there are too many there that feel the way Geller does—or at least there were when I left.

I live in Fort Worth, but Garland is quite a bit of a drive for me.

There is a flourishing Muslim community in D/FW and I can certainly be sure that none of us will give in to her bait. I honestly think we should use a different approach to highlight what a vile woman she is, starting with this quote:

“Breivik was targeting the future leaders of the party responsible for flooding Norway with Muslims who refuse to assimilate, who commit major violence against Norwegian natives, including violent gang rapes, with impunity, and who live on the dole… all done without the consent of the Norwegians.”

Darryl Ferguson is facing an arson charge.

HFD arson investigators took Ferguson into custody Monday. They said he admitted to setting fire to the building, but investigators did not discuss a potential motive.

Ferguson, 55, lives in the area.

55 year old Darryl Ferguson is the man arrested in Houston Islamic Center fire, He reportedly lives in the neighborhood.

This should dispose of the RWNJ’s constant refrain of “false flag” and “insurance fraud” but probably won’t.

Another old white man on this. See a pattern here? It’s not millenials engaging in this, it’s old white men who can’t handle change.

That’s what I was just getting ready to say. You sell the “Muslims are all terrorists!” line 24/7 and, lo and behold, some white people are gonna get it in their heads that Muslims are dangerous. Sort of like the Chapel Hill shootings that Fox was quick to downplay as a fuss over a parking spot.

That reminds me of the Mark Twain novel Puddin’head Wilson where the Black wet nurse gets revenge on the massah by swapping her own 1/32 Black baby for massah’s white baby.

Did they ever make a movie of this novel? It’s one of Twain’s masterpieces.

Never even heard of it. I’ll have to see if I can find it. Sounds like a very interesting read.

Which is why their support for Middle Eastern Christians is just that, a load of horseshit.

Middle Eastern Christians aren’t immune from attacks by angry white men who mistake them for being Muslim or them being Arab.

New Hampshire mountain hiker who activated beacon found dead

LANCASTER, N.H. (AP) — A hiker who activated an emergency personal locator beacon amid brutal weather conditions including 100 mph winds in a mountainous area named after U.S. presidents was found dead on Monday.

“The body of Kate Matrosova was found Monday afternoon between Mount Madison and Mount Adams, part of a series of summits named after presidents and other prominent Americans and called the Presidential Range, the state’s Fish and Game Department said.

“Matrosova, who was from New York City, had been dropped off by her husband early Sunday morning at the base of the mountains. She was alone and planned to hike the top of Mount Madison, WMUR-TV said, before heading through Mount Adams, Mount Jefferson and Mount Washington, which at about 6,300 feet is the highest peak in the Northeast.” More

Suspect Arrested in Islamic Center Fire - Houston Chronicle

Houston arson investigators have made an arrest in the early morning fire Friday at an Islamic center on the city’s southeast side, fire department officials said late Monday.

Darryl Ferguson, 55, of Houston, has been charged with felony first degree arson for the fire, according to HFD investigators.

The arrest was announced at a 6 p.m. news conference at HFD’s arson headquarters.

Investigators say the suspect “rolled up on his bicycle” to speak to them about the fire during an on-scene investigation Monday.

Our blue rat terrier was given to us by a not so great breeder; he’s been a wonderful companion for my son since he moved to Charlotte, but getting on in his dotage (born 2001). The little chihuahua mix just laid down last year and died, with no warning; he was born in 2001, also.

That’s so sad.

Another beautiful thing about good cast iron cookware: as long as you keep it clean, dry, and properly seasoned, it’ll do the job a hundred years from now just well as it does today.
