Why in the world do cable news hosts quote walking press release Anthony Scaramucci as if his words mean anything?

wonkette.com

Wonkette weighs in on Acting ICE Director Homan on FOX News Channel (with video) claiming that Gov. Jerry Brown (D-Calif.) should be arrested for “human smuggling” over California’s so-called sanctuary law.

Homan had a warning for politicians in cities and states like California, whose new sanctuary provisions just went into effect January 1. If they try to protect dangerous criminal aliens — and under the New Cruelty, ALL undocumented immigrants are dangerous criminal aliens — Homan thinks they should expect a visit from the Goon Squad:

That is a violation of 8 USC 1324. That’s an alien-smuggling statute. I’ve asked the Department of Justice to look at this. Can we hold them accountable? Are they violating federal law?

Well of course they are, since passing a state law prohibiting cops from asking crime witnesses about their immigration status, or protecting social workers from having to rat out undocumented parents, is exactly like smuggling people across the border. When Cavuto asked what Homan would like to see done if DOJ does decide “sanctuary” statutes constitute human trafficking, he said he was all in favor of getting tough on such criminally uncooperative elected officials:

We’ve got to take these sanctuary cities on. We’ve got to take them to court and we’ve got to start charging some of these politicians with crimes.

Nah, nothing fascistic sounding there … arresting politicians for “failure to toe the government mark.”

I read on MMFA’s site a couple hours ago that Alex Jones is pushing a new “children’s book” that attempts to normalize white nationalism. The main character is Thumper. Pepe the Frog is one of Thumper’s “friends.” No way would I ever buy a book like that for any child. Of course, Jones is urging his followers to buy the book from his site. If there’s a dollar to be made, Jones wants a part of it. I am so glad that his ex-wife took him to court and was successful in removing their kids from his custody.

Ryan going down would be wonderful. I haven’t been able to stand Ryan since we got the Ryan “Plan” which was a bunch of bullshit and then Romney tried saying “Well it was just meant to start a conversation.” If you look at Paul Ryan, he’s a lot of talk with very little actually accomplished. Oooh a post office and tax cut on bows, big fucking deal. This was the “Serious policy wonk” we heard about. Oh and not to mention the “Defifict Hawk” who voted fo rall the Bush items and the Ayn Rand fan who is a huge so-con.

Back in 2002 I was extremely upset by Bush’s rush to war. I knew it would turn out to be a disaster, as did anyone who knew shit. Therapist said “Think about the French farmer just standing in his field as the Nazi tanks come across the border. What can he do?” I replied “not much”. Wait till they’ve gone past and start resisting. Sabotage here, propaganda there, not turning over all his crop; yes, that’s the dangerous path and afterwards many more will claim to have done it than ever fired a shot. But even that farmer has things he can do in the long run.

One of the things they don’t tell you about therapy is that you have to shop, which is pretty much the last thing you want to do when you’re in need of a therapist. It’s not always about objective quality (though sometimes….) but about subjective ability to interact and the “style” of interaction.

It is beyond pathetic that this stupid tool’s incompetency is on full display for the world to see, and he decides to take to Twitter and indicate that although he was supposed to be on top of things in the WH, he didn’t know who was coming and going. He was probably in his bedroom watching Fox News, eating greasy cheeseburgers and drinking diet Coke. Newt Gingrich was reported to have been at the WH a couple days ago. If I were POTUS and found sh*t on the bottoms of both shoes, Newt would be the last person I’d looking to for advice. Trump is so obtuse that he doesn’t have enough sense to know who he should/shouldn’t be associating with.

Trump knew Bannon well enough last year to bestow the title “CEO of the Trump Campaign” onto him. It was the first time in almost 50 years of been paying attention to politics that I’ve heard a candidate call a member of his campaign team a CEO. That should have been the tip-off for me to realize that Trump was clearly signaling that he had every intention of using the government to increase his wealth, and he’s doing just that.

Trump Angrily Throws Steve Bannon’s Signed Copy of “Mein Kampf” in Trash

“WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—Furious over a very public breakup with his former adviser Steve Bannon, Donald Trump on Wednesday angrily threw a copy of “Mein Kampf” that Bannon had inscribed to him in the trash.

The book, which Bannon had given to Trump as a token of his love and friendship during the 2016 campaign, had been among Trump’s most prized possessions, aides said.
“Trump loved that book, but now he feels that having Bannon’s name on it ruins it,” an aide said.

Another aide, however, cautioned not to make too much of the fact that Trump discarded the Bannon-signed Hitler book. “He’s still got plenty of other copies,” the aide said.”

Wait till they’ve gone past and start resisting. Sabotage here, propaganda there, not turning over all his crop; yes, that’s the dangerous path and afterwards many more will claim to have done it than ever fired a shot. But even that farmer has things he can do in the long run.

That image helped me realize that I didn’t have much power to change events. Still using it today.

I like that. Sometimes I feel the same way. I’ll use that.
