Cultural Marxism = A right wing fantasy made up from the two words considered most scary on Faux News with no understanding of what either means.
Political Correctness or “PC” = at it’s core, a belief that one should live by the golden rule: treat everyone else the way you’d like to be treated. This terrifies the far right because they have spent so long treating everyone else like **** that they are certain that they will in turn be treated like ****.

Oh look, it’s the “death of expertise” dude spouting off on things he doesn’t know much about based on his experience strolling through airports. I’m going to guess that the factor he picked on (fakers) is probably way down on a list that contains.
1. High levels of obesity/Type 2 diabetes in the US (which is itself a complicated issue that goes beyond lazy overeaters are fat)
2. Lack of access to healthcare - meaning that things go untreated and as a result cause disability where the might not otherwise
3. High vs low density - AKA more people in Europe walk more which helps maintain mobility as well as decreasing item 1 above
4. Accessibility issues (yes even in Western Europe) relative to the US.

re: #20 JordanRules
Brought up what is happening in Yemen not long back, but there is simply no traction in the minds of Americans for these type of issues.
What is happening is that the rebel groups who want to align with Iran are a threat to the Saudis so the KSA and their like-minded fellows on the Arabian land mass, along with quiet support from the US and other countries, decided to wipe out said Iran-sympathetic groups.
There is no shortage of atrocities to spread around, but this is one of those cases where it seems we (the US) are quite happy to let a disaster unroll.

Facebook yanks P&G ‘political’ ad showing LGTB support https://t.co/6xpeIWwLpi pic.twitter.com/8SmmHQFTlO
— Enquirer (@Enquirer) July 2, 2018
Facebook halted a Procter & Gamble advertisement in support of gay rights, deeming it inadequately labeled as “political.”
The social network stopped running the ad because it lacked a “paid for by” tag in violation of new rules aimed at misleading political ads, according to an Ad Age article.
P&G confirmed there was a disruption to their ad, which has yet to be reinstated.
“It was a post in celebration of PRIDE and was not a political ad,” P&G spokeswoman Tressie Rose said. “We are disappointed it was flagged as such and we’re working with Facebook to understand how to navigate their new policy.”
The disruption comes as P&G has edged some of its advertising to include social issues intended to win a deeper connection with consumers.

Eric Garretti was on the Daily Show recently; one of the questions was about why they’re so insistent that sanctuary cities (and LAPD not wanting to assist ICE) was a boon to public safety.
He told a nice story about an LAPD officer shot in the line of duty, after a traffic stop in an immigrant-heavy neighborhood… and it was a bunch of undocumented who took a picture of the shooter and his car, noted his license number, noted which direction he drove off and where he turned, approached other officers to give them the info, so the department was able to find the guy really quickly. And it was undocumented witnesses who ID’d him on the street at the arrest, and again in a line-up.
But it’s ICE who will keep those undocumented from showing up to the trial to testify.
