 RetweetHamas Wants Off the List

Thu, Feb 16, 2006 at 7:28:08 pm PST

You almost have to laugh.

Then you remember that this is a genocidal, fanatically Islamist terrorist organization openly dedicated to finishing the job the Nazis started, by any means possible.

And then it doesn’t seem so funny. Hamas Wants Off Terror List.

DAMASCUS, Syria - A senior Hamas official called on the United States Thursday to remove the militant Islamic group from Washington’s list of terrorist organizations and to open a dialogue without preconditions.

Moussa Abu Marzook, deputy head of Hamas’ political bureau, told The Associated Press the U.S. should deal with Hamas “as it is, and later there could be a dialogue…but there should be no preconditions.”

“Hamas is not the only side that wants peace. …All the Palestinians want peace because they are the only people whose rights have been encroached upon and who have been expelled from their lands,” Abu Marzouk said.

Abu Marzouk described as “absolutely unacceptable” Israel’s call for Hamas to start an unconditional dialogue with the Jewish state, saying “Hamas…was chosen by the Palestinian people…this is democracy.”

This is what I mean. Absolute lies without any thought. These people lie about anything and everything all the time and everytime. I thought Bhagdad Bob was a joke and a caricature, but the more I read, look at , etc. . . I see that he is typical.. The truth doesn't matter. Their end justifies any means.

“Hamas is not the only side that wants peace. ...All the Palestinians want peace because they are the only people whose rights have been encroached upon and who have been expelled from their lands,” Abu Marzouk said.

By this definition, clearly the Israelis do not want peace. In Abu Marzouk's world, of course, this is true, because his definition of peace is the genocidal annihilation of all Jews south and east of Vienna.

THE organiser of London’s Muslim cartoon protests has gone abroad to fight holy war — leaving taxpayers to foot the bill to keep his family...

It's been a wild couple of weeks in the mideast. The cartoon jihad has parts of Europe caving in and of course the media isn't helping with its usual denial of a problem, like the media loses its freedom of its speech against a religion is a normal occurance unworthy of comment. The attitude of the west is changing. France now realises that the Islamists are serious and is protesting Iran's nuclear program for the first time. Europe is a whole is realising that Islamic law is incompatible with western democracy, and while Norway may have caved in the rest of Europe isn't. Now we have the Hamas telling the US to take them off its terrorist list. The Pali's are going to riot over this big-time because America isn't going to budge, and the Pali's funding from Europe is about to be dry up. The only thing Hamas understands is violence works against the west. At least it used to. I expect a few suicide bombings to start happening soon in Europe. I think that will be the beginning of a rapid change from appeasement to Europe actively defending itself. I give it two months before the first bombs in Europe go off. Courtesy of Hamas, of course. This thing is going to backfire on the Pali's and Islam in general. It'll be interesting to watch the media attempt to spin the upcoming bombings into the usual sympathetic bias for the poor oppressed Muslims. The problem for the media is that no matter how how they spin this, the public is reading right through their lies and making their own opinions.

Obviously, I'm too late to make an original post on this bit of newspeak (I bow to those before me), but it is so sad that this crap gets traction among ther LLL. Who cannot understand that "peace" means the obliteration of Israel?

Methinks you'd better pack a lunch, Marzook.

#27 LoFlyer:

Ohhh I hope you're right! The media has me so angry with their lack of ethics. There's a few I do like like Brit Hume but on the whole they're weasels. I don't want to think of bombers but it's bound to happen. I knew that when Sheik Hassan Nasrallah called for the bombers not to be shy a couple of years ago and to widen their sphere of activities (meaning the West).

I hope when they all run out of money they bloody well starve and start killing each other...save the rest of us the trouble! I have no sympathy for them left at all. NONE! And for me that's saying a lot. Ten years ago, before I knew anything about these people, the Palestinians, or the Muslims for that matter, I gave the the deference and respect I give all people. No more! They are truly evil and this whole thing has gotten like Lord of the Rings. I think maybe Tolkein could see this coming and wrote the books in order to light our path.

Temperatures in upper 20s, North Texas, to as warm as 32º at Laredo come to an end. Dallas probably doesn't reach 4º tomorrow, and by shortly after sunset, any light drizzle which develops will freeze on contact, as surface temps drop below 0º, while a warm layer of 5 to 10º between 1500 and 2500 meters melts any light falling snow to liquid rain or drizzle.

New 0Z NAM continues trend of previous runs, 5 mm or less. Even more optimistic 18Z GFS was less than 10 mm. 5 mm is worthless, that tiny amount of ice would be sublimating as fast as it accumulated.

Actual Muslim moderates, do they exist?
This story suggests a sighting has been made in Germany...

From the Belmont Club...

Bloggledygook carries the story of a German Muslim group that has dared Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to visit the Auschwitz concentration camp and deny the Holocaust there.

By denying the Holocaust, Ahmadinejad not only denigrated the Jewish victims of the genocide but also the 200,000 Roms and Arabs murdered in the "gypsy camp" of Auschwitz-Birkenau and other camps, the institute spokesman said. The fact that the president of an Islamic state repeated Nazi anti-Semitism was harmful to the image of Islam and "a disgrace for all the world’s Muslims", he added. The Berlin-based institute, founded in 1927, is the oldest Muslim body in Germany.

They can get off the terror list if they do the following:

1. Truely renounce terror for ever.

2. Surrender all weapons.

3. Prosecute all their terrorists.

4. Renounce anti-semitism.

5. Give open and honest intelligence to the west.

6. Modify media and education to promote peace.

7. Pay reparations to all victems.

8. Do Teshuva or repentence.

9. Maybe change religions. (after all the Dali Lama is around)

I am not sure how the State Department deals with this. From my service there, I think the only terrorist organization they truely recognize is the one that checks travel authorizations.

On January 26, 2006 it was announced that a "tiny minority" of extremists, the radical Islamic movement Hamas, had won a large majority in the new Palestinian parliament.

49 Baldy  Thu, Feb 16, 2006 8:31:07pm

Sec Rice has announced we will continue to fund "humanitarian aid." I saw a clip of her speakin about the wretched conditions the "refugees" face. What a crock. Humanitarian = guns for Hamas. I don't know if she belives what she said, but if she does, she's an idiot.

Rice: Palestinians Voted for Change (State.gov)

We believe that they voted for change against long-term corrupt practices that had made their lives difficult and their progress difficult. But we believe that the change that they -- that what has not changed is the Palestinian people's desire to have a freer and a better life.

If she or the President belives that they are delusional. Unless she means free of Jews.

52 Baldy  Thu, Feb 16, 2006 8:53:05pm

Funding Palestinian "Humanitarian" Needs is a MISTAKE

Until the Bush administration blocked his reappointment last year, long-term UNRWA commissioner-general Peter Hansen made a career out of "see no evil, hear no evil" with respect to Hamas while imputing all manner of malfeasance on Israel. The final straw for Washington may have been Hansen's candid admission during a television interview with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation in late 2004: "I am sure there are Hamas members on the UNRWA payroll, and I don't see that as a crime."

When will we learn? Is Baker the Secretary of State? Or does "Condi" just channel him? It is idiotic to fund ANYTHING going to the "territories." Let their Arab fiends feed them.

53 Baldy  Thu, Feb 16, 2006 8:55:17pm

I will hope Rice & the President are playing a game. It is the only rational reason, besides trying to get Muslims to like us, to continue to fund "humanitarian" aid.

Hamas want to 'clean up' their charter.
Guess what will still be in it?
Hamas working on 'new charter'

At closed meetings in hotel suites in Beirut and Damascus, Hamas has been developing a new charter that is designed to showcase a more moderate and non anti-Semitic face,

Yet this new document, acknowledged Dr. Azzam Tamimi, 51, the Hebron-born director of the Institute of Islamic Political Thought in London, would still call for an end to the Jewish state and the creation of a Palestinian state on all of mandatory Palestine.

My suggestion is for the islamists to clear their minds by giving themselves enemas with their own RPG's.

61 lawhawk  Fri, Feb 17, 2006 4:02:26am

Considering that Hamas admits that they're taking money from yet another terrorist group Hizbullah, which also happens to be on the list of designated foreign terrorist organizations, the chances of Hamas being removed are slim.

That doesn't mean some dhimmi at the State Dept wont try, but it means that they've got to justify removing two major terrorist organizations at a time when they're both agitating for the destruction of one of our allies (and always threatening action against the US to boot).

Any agreement made for WB (& Aza) now will be worthless! THEY WANT ALL OF ISRAEL YOU F'N IDIOTS! They continue to say this...no matter how much we berate & negotiate them out of how they state their goal...THEY WILL NEVER CHANGE THE ESSENCE OF THEIR GOALS...

A request that Hamas, denounce their hatred of Israel...is only a request in Name only...not intent...ITS WORTHLESS! (And furthermore its just naive & stupid...Would/should we have asked Hitler to denounce his anti-semetism?..try to convince him that the Jews weren't that bad?...NO dipships, we realized that such hateful bungholes DON'T CHANGE & we protected our lives & defeated him...no questions asked)

The "secular", "non-Terrorist", FATAH...wouldn't actually stop their desire to Destroy Israel...WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD HAMAS!?

If you want to see Israel...(esp as a Jewish State) GO NOW! Israel Gov., doesn't get it! Israeli people don't get it! (I went to a long speech by an Israeli Political Scientist & I'm very very scared)

ISRAEL WILL BE DESTROYED! (Not because I want it too...but because they don't get it) Visit Now..or lose your chance!

#64 Pawn of the Oppressor
Ed O'Laughlin of the Sydney Morning Herald didn't care to mention that Hamas' announced vow is death-to-Israel, that its own Covenant calls for the destruction of Israel, that Hamas has carried out dozens of suicide bombings against Israelis including more than 10 bombings of buses, that Hamas does not recognize Israel's right to exist and has renounced all agreements made with Israel.

Why should Israel cooperate with a gang that calls for and has tried to carry out Israel's desruction?

Just because the Palis put Hamas into power doesn't mean that Israel has to kowtow to it. In the 1930s the Germans put the Nazis into power. That didn't make the Nazi regime any less disgusting. That didn't mean that other states had to support Nazi Germany. The fact that Palis brought Hamas into power is binding on the Palis; it isn't binding on other states, especially the state against whom Hamas has been carrying out a terrorist war.

The bias of Ed O'Laughlin and the Sydney Morning Herald is obvious from what they have failed to report. That is, Hamas' actions against Israel.
