I can't wait to discover the many reasons this is all Israel's fault. Oh, and how wonderfully hospitable HAMAS mujahideen really are, nothing like the awful rap they get in the press. Yadda... yadda...

While I'm glad he is alive, I am sure he is eager to get back to the UK to help spearhead the British Journalist Union's drive to boycott Israel. He's been away for months and there is much Israel-bashing to make up for with the Islamist Broadcasting Company, er, BBC!

37 Mich-again  Tue, Jul 3, 2007 7:16:54pm

So what next for the Dagmoush clan. Theres not enough room in Gaza for them and Hamas. Link..

Simply put, the Dagmoush operates in the best tradition of the cosa nostra. The family numbers some 2,500 members, making it one of the smaller clans in Gaza, where people can sometimes have as many as 5,000 or even 7,000 people in their extended families. What makes the Dagmoush clan so dangerous is its cohesion and enormous arsenal of weapons.

This is as close to an exact quote as I can get without a transcript:

CNN's Ben Weidemann specualting about political fallout:

"Certainly through their words and actions, it would indicate that they (Hamas) are sincere in their desire to see Alan Johnston released"

Of course, they wouldn't have permitted his release otherwise.

40 Yishai  Tue, Jul 3, 2007 7:17:46pm

I'm actually more interested to know if a ransom was paid or whether a quid pro quo was arranged between Hamas and the UK, BBC, Israel or any other entity/nation.

It's good that Johnston was released, but he is far from the only one held by Hamas. Gilad Shalit continues to be held, more than a year after he was taken by Hamas in an invasion of Israel that resulted in two other Israeli soldiers killed. Hamas has been holding him hoping to force Israel to concede a prisoner release.

45 Yishai  Tue, Jul 3, 2007 7:20:27pm

re: #40 Yishai

I meant to say that Hamas allowed him to be help. They technically weren't holding him. That Dagmoush clan was, but in the good form of the Iranians, Hamas was letting others get their hands dirty until they wanted to pull in the reigns.

46 wrathofasma  Tue, Jul 3, 2007 7:20:29pm

At best, this fool will still cling to the tired BBC storyline about the Israel-Palestine conflict. At worst, he'll become another Yvonne Ridley. Still somewhat happy that he is alive, though.

47 the_flying_pig  Tue, Jul 3, 2007 7:20:44pm

I can imagine a reporter would ask him a question about the bomb belt Johnston a while back:

Well, the Hamas propaganda worked! They rescue him (I'd bet they could have done it anytime they wanted), treat him well overnight, and release a smiling, previously supportive journalist to tell the world how well Hamas treated him and thanking them for his freedom...

2. I knew that he would be released unharmed.

3. It is also a happy day for the Palestinian people because they need journalists to go there and tell their side of the story.

4. I hope we won't see any more of these [kidnappings].

5. When I was kidnapped they gave me plenty of food and water, and a soft place to sleep. They treated us well physically.

6. Kidnappers treated me with some respect and decency, and came out in fairly good shape [I guess besides the conversion Steve].

7. Thinks that release of Alan could help Hamas.

Heh. There's absolutely no reason to believe that Johnston would end up released unharmed. That was grasping at straws and wishful thinking. It's good that he was released, but the fact is that you were kidnapped and held against your will to be used as a pawn in a power play with Israel, the BBC, UK, and other entities.

The other outcome under the circumstances played out a few years ago - Daniel Pearl was executed for all the world to see. Beheaded.

They didn't hit him until the last very minutes when they "knocked him around a little."

Um - I still haven't seen a freed Johnston running into the waiting arms of wailing colleagues.

Here's how CNN describes it

A TV reporter abducted in Gaza was released today after more than 100 days in captivity. BBC correspondent Alan Johnston was seen surrounded by armed men being escorted into a car which raced away from waiting reporters.

"Freed" to Hamas wouln't be my first choice. If he is indeed free - He'll walk happily into the "awful" Israel. Who will welcome him, treat him medically and sponsor a flight back to London.

Where he can begin bashing them anew.

It's really sad that the Pakistani papers report the Iraq war more accurately than our papers:

US troops won a fierce battle outside Al Qaeda’s former stronghold in western Iraq, the military said on Tuesday, as commanders warned that recent victories must not be taken for granted while car bombings in the cities of Kirkuk and Baghdad killed at least 20 Iraqis.

US soldiers and marines, backed with attack jets and helicopter gun ships, killed 23 insurgents in the weekend clash and foiled an apparent attempt to revive Al Qaeda influence near the group’s former bastion of Ramadi. Although Al Qaeda declared the city its capital last year, the group’s attacks against civilians and local leaders have turned much of Anbar province’s population against it.

Senior US officials, including President George W Bush, have hailed the resulting turnaround in Anbar — where attacks are down dramatically — but US commanders warn that Al Qaeda fighters have regrouped elsewhere.e.

“I don’t think that there’s any question that they’ve gone somewhere else,” Brigadier General John Allen, the number second most senior officer in western Iraq, told AFP.

The fighting broke out on Saturday at Donkey Island on the Nassar Canal when two truckloads of gunmen opened fire on US forces, and ended a day later with US-led forces victorious. At least 23 insurgents were killed, the military said.

The battle has raised concerns that Al Qaeda has not yet given up on establishing a foothold in western Iraq and may yet find a way to reassert its influence. “Al Qaeda may have made a decision to consolidate their gains elsewhere — where they may have a possibility of consolidation of gains,” Allen said.

The US military also said that a US helicopter that had been shot down by insurgents near Baghdad on Monday resulted in no deaths. However, two Marines died in a “non-hostile related” accident in Anbar province, the military reported.

I heard a horrible story (which has a ring of truth to it) that Ron Arad tried to escape once and his captors crippled him so he could not do it again (I am thinking of James Caan being hobbled in the movie "Misery"). Anyway I think that Arad has long enough outlived his usefulness for the Iranians/Hezbollah and they would have swapped him for prisoners in Israel by now. The poor fellow I am certain is no longer amongst the living.

I doubt that Ron Arad's fate is of any concern to Amira Hass who daily worries about Palis having to wait at security checkpoints.

Asian shop in Scotland gutted, revenge suspected

Attackers rammed a car into an Asian-owned newsagents near Scotland's biggest city Glasgow on Tuesday and set it ablaze in what neighbours feared was revenge for Saturday's assault on the city's airport.

Police said they believed the attackers had deliberately reversed the car into the shop on Smithycrost Road in the suburb of Riddrie and then set it ablaze. The shop was burned out.

Police said they had no reason to link the incident to the attack at Glasgow airport, in which two men rammed a fuel-filled jeep into the terminal and set it ablaze.

Is this real?

Gazans Pulling Their Kids From Hamas Jihad Summer Camp...

Some Palestinian parents in the Gaza Strip are up in arms over Hamas summer camps which are being used to train children on the use of weapons and other military equipment.

The families on Tuesday also accused Hamas of inciting their children against Israel and Fatah. Some of the families decided to pull their children out of the camps after discovering the goals of the camp. Most of the children who are participating in the current Hamas summer camps are between the ages of eight and 17.

"Hamas is helping create a culture of hatred and vengeance," the statement charged. "They are killing the innocence of children by forcing them to undergo military training and teaching them hatred. They want to use these children to fight their own people in the future.

Pot Kettle Black. This is Fatah propagadnda. Maybe two or three Palestinian families don't want their children being taught hatred of Jews. I suspect they are actually protesting having Hamas doing it instead of Fatah because they prefer their Jew hatred to be somewhat more secular.

Otherwise they should kill all terrorists - Fatah, Hamas, Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, Tanzim, Popular Resistance Committee, PFLP, Islamic Jihad, Boy Scouts of Palestine - you get my drift. Kill them all.

In WWII they asked Admiral William F. (Bull) Halsey to give a message to the American fighting on Guadalcanal in 1942

So depending on what the story is about, you pick the paper. Dawn is probably the most independent. GEO, which is relatively new is also a good spot.

"This early morning we have in Hamas and Palestinians very happy to reach this point which is the release of Mr. Alan J. So our best regards and congratulations... From the beginning we considered the issue of Alan Johnston as international, and moral, and humanitarian issue. Our message at this moment is that no one in Palestine...is above the law. This shall be...we hope this will be the last kidnapping in Gaza. Insha Allah... Best Congratulations to Mr. Johnston...and ourselves."

"We are not looking for bribes...but of course we hope the international community...to support our people in Palestine and to...release our prisoners in the Israeli jails."

"We hope the relation of Palestine and the international community...to support our people and not to stand just on the side of Israel."

"From the beginning we did our best, but of course after the, what happened in Gaza, we have estimated that we are in a new era and a new atmosphere...nobody is above the law...In the past...it carried some families to do some bad things, like kidnapping, but now nobody can do that...we control security for our people...and journalists."

"Our decision not to use force, because we know the restrictions of the British people not to use force. but we doubled our efforts and make pressure...to release Alan Johnston and to say for him you have no choice except to release Alan Johnston without any bribes for you. That was our message and we succeeded to release him peacefully."

Weather forecast for ISLAMABAD today

Hot, very Hot ...

Troops mass amid curfew after deadly clashes at Pakistan mosque

Armoured personnel carriers and truckloads of troops massed in the darkness around the Lal Masjid, or Red Mosque, as loudspeaker announcements urged the compound's hardline leaders to surrender or face action.

Authorities warned residents to stay indoors or they would be shot for curfew violation as troops sealed the G-6 sector of Islamabad early Wednesday. Sporadic gunfire resumed with daybreak.

We park our cars in the same garage. Netanyahu and a few other politicians with sense in Israel have suggested doing just that. If I were in charge of Israel I would tell Hamas (and the world for that matter as well) that for every Kassem landing in Israel, 5 conventional bombs will be dropped on Gaza (and not on empty fields either).

Absolutely, and I would add a five metre no man's land buffer zone between the border with Israel and any Palestinians, on their side, for each Kassam. If that meant they all had to move into the Sea, well shucks, sauce for goose, be careful what you wish for and all that.

I always thought that Israel was respected the most when Shamir (a man I never really cared for) was Prime Minister. The man was totally dedicated to the people of Israel and was not afraid to use force to protect Jews. Under his Prime Ministership China, India, Vietnam , Spain and the Vatican all established diplomatic relations with Israel. Now Ehud Olmert the very model of an effeminate and cowardly Prime Minister is (thank you Ariel Sharon) Prime Minister and Israel allows itself to get shitted on.

But when the U.S. does 100 wonderful things and 1 (arguably) bad one, the MSM goes into overtime to make the U.S. out to be Hitler & Pol Pot all in one?

See what you don't realize is that there is no time continuum for the Arabs of the PA territories.

If they call a cease fire it has only to last as long as it took for the individual to say it. Same goes for the "new era" nonsense. It only has to last for as long as it takes to be said and thus it then become the reality. Facts and truth be damned.

What really galls me is how our press reports on the "truce" agreed to by Hamas or Fatah or Hezbollah as being something real. How long will it take for them to realize that nothing these people say is a commitment?

They talk much about "loyalty" and "honor", so much so that it obscures the fact that they have none...and some people on this side of the ocean continue to believe them, as if these were rational folks.

I am much saddened.

312 Dar ul Harb  Tue, Jul 3, 2007 8:52:05pm

Michelle Malkin notes that Rightwing Nuthouse is "liveblogging" the Continental Congress as it debates the Declaration of Independence.

I'll add this somewhat contemporary commentary:

"I long to hear that you have declared an independancy --and by the way in the new Code of Laws which I suppose it will be necessary for you to make I would desire you would Remember the Ladies, and be more generous and favourable to them than your ancestors. Do not put such unlimited power into the hands of the Husbands. Remember all men would be tyrants if they could. If particular care and attention is not paid to the Ladies we are determined to foment a Rebellion, and will not hold ourselves bound by any Laws in which we have no voice, or Representation.

That your Sex are Naturally Tyrannical is a Truth so thoroughly established as to admit of no dispute, but such of you as wish to be happy willingly give up the harsh title of Master for the more tender and endearing one of Friend. Why then, not put it out of the power of the vicious and the Lawless to use us with cruelty and indignity with impunity. Men of Sense in all Ages abhor those customs which treat us only as the vassals of your Sex. Regard us then as Beings placed by providence under your protection and in imitation of the Supreme Being make use of that power only for our happiness."

--Abigail Adams (1744-1818) letter to her husband John Adams at the Continental Congress, March 31, 1776

It took some time, Mrs. Adams, but we in the West should remember how far we've come since your day, and resolve that the Slaves of Allah will not drag the Ladies back into vassalage.

Ah annother dead joke. :(

I was alluding the fact that G-d himself built a "fence" around Israel. It is the Jordan River on the East and the Meditteranian on the West.

(thus alluding that Judea and Samria are Israel proper)

But you are right. What up with the concrete fense they are building near the Pre-1967 armistace lines? If they are going to build the thing it should be finished with respect to the lives of Israelis only. If the terrorists don't like it...they can stop being terrorists and the fence will come down all together.

That Children and Apprentices were disobedient--that schools and Colleges were grown turbulent --that Indians slighted their Guardians and Negroes grew insolent to their Masters. But your Letter was the first Intimation that another Tribe more numerous and powerful than all the rest were grown discontented.--This is rather too coarse a Compliment but you are so saucy, I wont blot it out.

Depend upon it, We know better than to repeal our Masculine systems. Although they are in full Force, you know they are little more than Theory. We dare not exert our Power in its full Latitude. We are obliged to go fair, and softly, and in Practice you know We are the subjects. We have only the Name of Masters, and rather than give up this, which would compleatly subject Us to the Despotism of the Petticoat, I hope General Washington, and all our brave Heroes would fight..."

This is terrorist tag team.

Fatah are in a war with HAMAS, Fatah look good now, they lost to a worse gang.
The HAMAS gang rescues a reporter so they look better now. Who is the worst gang? Islamic Jihad, the gang that kidnapped the british reporter in the first place.
The end result is that Fatah looks legitmate and get all kinds of western help. (They were always "moderate" so maybe this is not a good example)

All this tag team work simply brings each terrorist gang higher up the ladder in legitimacy. And the West falls for it! How long is it going to be before Hamas becomes "moderate" and all other Islamic gangs are the "real terrorists who corrupted their own religion"?

2. halting illegal Pali immigration into Israel
3. slowing down the rate of Pali car thieves taking Israeli cars.

Had the fence been built in 1996 how many Jewish lives subsequently lost would still be with us? However a fence is a defensive weapon., let us not forget the brave sayarets of the Samson and Cherry groups whom every night go terrorist catching.

And this: Army of Islam, Hamas to Continue Cooperation

Spokesmen for both Hamas and the Army of Islam said Wednesday that they would continue to work together despite recent tension over the kidnapping of BBC reporter Alan Johnston, who was released earlier in the day. Hamas insisted that the Army of Islam release Johnston, and at one point surrounded a building in which Johnston was held and arrested several Army of Islam terrorists.
Hamas spokesman Ayman Taha said that the Army of Islam would not be forced to disarm following the kidnapping. He praised the group for agreeing to listen to a local sheikh who called for Johnston’s release

It is all one tragic farce...Johnston was probably at the Gaza Hilton the whole time.

Or: "How I learned to love my captors and Hate Israel."

Or: What I learned on my kidnap vacation

Or: Packing light, and living among terrorists; and, how you, too, can become one.

Hamas, it seems, hasn't quite got the hang of how the publicity machine works.

First, they let this guy out, while all the media potentates are on martha's vineyard.

Then, the President also puts news out on a "slow news day."

And, the Internet stays busy. For those not out celebrating the 4th, what's to celebrate here? Anyone betting in an office pool that said Johnson was dead, lost their money.

Hamas said there would be no crackdown on the Army of Islam.

sure, who would crackdown on themselves?

Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum accused Johnston's captors of smearing the Palestinian people's reputation and of seeking "to prove to the world that we are a group of militias that fight each other to gain personal ends."

Of course, if they have not kidnapped Johnston, we would have no idea that they are a group of militias fighting each other for personal gains.

Growing up in NYC We learn a lot of "street rules".
#1 is never rat on your friends and always keep your mouth shut.

#2 Is Watch out for the hustlers.

It's #2 that is important here. Anyone with a lick of common sense can see what the hell is going on here and how these kinds of "things" work. When you have any "group" that might do something that pisses someone else off then they will invariabily experience "pay back" or "blowback" (hat tip to Ron paul).
So suppose you are Hamas and you want to fuck with say Israel but you dont wanna get punished, how do you do it? easy, take aside a few loyal people and say "here is some 'seed' money. Start up an obscure group, Allahs Army or Shaeeds R us or whatever. Maybe pull a few minor stunts to get yourself in the news. MAybe the Papers will run with it. Tell Huggy bear that the word on the street is that there are new "bad boys" in town. Then what do you do? You wait. Wait until you are needed, wait for your orders. Then you can say oh i dont know, Kidnap say a journalist. Then you (Hamas) can say "Hey, We aint got him." But you really do. Then you can offer to play the role of "savior" to the people who want this journalist released. This is a bait and switch / Classic Good cop bad cop bullshit scenario.

A tornado in eastern China killed seven people and injured 93, Xinhua news agency reported on Wednesday, the latest toll from bad weather that has devastated parts of the country this summer.

The tornado hit three villages around Tianchang in rural Anhui province, on Tuesday, destroying more than 100 houses, the report said. The bodies of seven people were found in the rubble.

ooops one more thing:

Iqtidar Mahmood Dara, a Pakistani national, was extradited on Monday evening from Heathrow airport to Germany.

Dara, who lived in Pakistan, had been arrested when he entered the UK on April 4, by officers of the Metropolitan’s Extradition Unit on a European arrest warrant on behalf of the German authorities for ordering illegal nuclear components.

It is alleged that between August 14, 2002, and November 24, 2003, Dara ordered a liquid waste monitor, two detection systems and an alpha-gamma spectrometry system from a chemist in Germany for use in the development of nuclear arms in Pakistan.

He was remanded in custody and first appeared at City of Westminster Magistrates Court on April 5, 2007. His extradition was ordered by Bow Street Magistrates Court on May 8 this year and after losing subsequent appeals his extradition took place on Monday

""The last 16 weeks have been the very worst of my life," he said. "I was in the hands of people who were dangerous and unpredictable."

"I literally dreamt many times of being free and always woke up back in that room."

Mr Johnston said he was not tortured during captivity but he did fall ill from the food he was served.

He said Hamas' seizure of power in Gaza and its subsequent pledge to improve security in the territory had aided his release.

"The kidnappers seemed very comfortable and very secure in their operation until... a few weeks ago, when Hamas took charge of the security operation here," he said.

The journalist said he was moved twice during his spell in captivity.

Having worked in Gaza for the past three years, Mr Johnston said he was well aware of Palestinian traditions of hospitality and regarded his abductors as an "aberration".

He described his experience of captivity as "appalling" and "occasionally quite terrifying".

"It became quite hard to imagine normal life again," he said. "

How could GOD choose the JEWS as the race of the SAVIOR of this world and condemn them to the role of the most reviled people on tihis earth?
---
In the words of an old hymn:

God moves in a mysterious way
His wonders to perform;
He plants His footsteps in the sea
And rides upon the storm.

Deep in unfathomable mines
Of never failing skill
He treasures up His bright designs
And works His sovereign will.

Ye fearful saints, fresh courage take;
The clouds ye so much dread
Are big with mercy and shall break
In blessings on your head.

Judge not the Lord by feeble sense,
But trust Him for His grace;
Behind a frowning providence
He hides a smiling face.

His purposes will ripen fast,
Unfolding every hour;
The bud may have a bitter taste,
But sweet will be the flower.

Blind unbelief is sure to err
And scan His work in vain;
God is His own interpreter,
And He will make it plain.

Al-Qaeda can only be defused at the root.

Michael Yon:

Bless the Beasts and Children

I told the Iraqi commander, Captain Baker, that it was important that Americans see this; he took me around the graves and showed more than I wanted to see. He said the people had been murdered by al Qaeda. I made video of him speaking, and of the horrible scene. The heat and stench were crushingly oppressive and broken only by the sounds of shovels as Iraqi soldiers kept digging.

Update on “Bless the Beasts and Children”

But for those publications who actually had people embedded in Baqubah when the story first broke and still failed to cover it, their malaise is inexplicable. I do not know why all failed to report the murders and booby-trapped village: apparently no reporters bothered to go out there, even though it’s only about 3.5 miles from this base. Any one of the reporters currently in Baqubah could still go to these coordinates and follow his or her nose and find the grave sites.

CNN already has him praising Hamas for pressuring his captors (who are most likely in cahootz with Hamas) to release him after 4 months of being the infidel voodoo doll.

Once again the pals are never responsible for anything. I bet Nixon wished he had that kind of political elasticity

Happy 4 July to all American Lizards.

Wow, what a surprise Johnston gets to go home using his own legs; which must be a first for Hamas seeing how they shot Fatah prisoners through the back of the kneecaps before releasing them. And that mysterious explosive vest never did go off. Probably a fake - just like this entire charade.

Let's keep count how many times the MSM use the word 'dramatic' over the next few hours. I reckon at least 5 per report. And it could all have happened so much sooner if only the bungling jihadis hadn't hogged the news coverage for the last few days.

But then again, surely no coincidence that Johnston has been released on 4 July (Gaza time). How stupid do they think we are?

And not a word about Gilad Shalit.

Watch out for some money changing hands on the quiet, and a certain Jordanian radical's case being reviewed in Britain soon.

On a brighter note - gettin by & Little ole' lady, you mentioned you were interested in doing a film script. Let's see if we can't outdo Pallywood. Either of you any good at dialogue?

Alan Johnston on a Palestinian flag colours scarf

[Link: d.yimg.com...]

BBC reporter Alan Johnston, left, wears a sash with the Palestinian flag given to him by former Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh of Hamas, right, following a news conference in Gaza City, early Wednesday, July 4, 2007. British reporter Alan Johnston, looking pale and tired, was released Wednesday after nearly four months in captivity in the Gaza Strip and said it was 'fantastic' to be free after an 'appalling' ordeal. OK. Still nothing on Google. It's well into the 4th of July now. I guess they decided to ignore it. Traitors!

How would this BBC tool look like if demonstrators were to build a puppet of him?

Well, there already is an answer to this: Israeli peaceniks parade the giant pink d*ck of peace

re: #444 Sharmuta

Yes- the 4th. And then it will be the 5th.
As for me, I call it Independence Day, because that means something more than a day of the month.

Don't know if this will get seen but Sharmuta...I went to bed last night thinking, "4th of July". I woke up early this morning, (and I always do my most clear thinking early...don't know why), read some of the comments I missed last night and the more I read, the more disgusted I started to get. Then it hit me...why are we calling this particular day "4th of July"? This is our Independence Day and from here on out, I intend to address it as such...and no longer as a numbered day on a calendar.

As I was sitting here thinking how I wanted to word my post (on my own site) about this, I continued to read the comments here and came to yours. There's a little bit of comfort in knowing that someone else feels the same way for the exact same reason.

Happy Independence Day!

I've been reading the news interviews with Alan Johnston and it appears he can't open his legs often enough or wide enough for Hamas. It is truly, truly "appalling" to use his word. I've never seen such a whore.

Hope you folks are not missing all the fun from the BBC website readers as they add their "voice" on the BBC site... just some examples:

Now, because of Alan's ordeal, the whole world has some little idea, some small hint, as to how the detainees in Guantanamo Bay Prison feel.

It's great that Alan has been released, but I feel it is in bad taste and iresponsible of the Israeli government to use this as an excuse to demand the release of their captive soldier.
Lets not stir up anymore tension please...

Where's our sense of perspective? This guy put himself, with his employers consent, in dangers way. I appreciate we need brave journalists to do this, but I'm sure Alan Johnson would be the first to admit that the euphoria emanating from his media pals, and many members of the public is verging on hysteria. He was locked away for only 100 days-what about all the other innocents who've been missing for years, and last but not least those in Guantanamo Bay - locked away without being charged.

This is so far the best news we have heard from the Middle East. Hamas is sending a strong signal that should not be ignored; there is no wonder, they won the elections with a landslide. Alan, you belong in the Middle East please assist in negotiations for peace.

Great News!

Further to the immense support in the UK and elsewhere the Imam at our local mosque in Reading had thousands of signatures’ signed by people who prayed at the mosque for his release. Alongside him many Hundreds of Palestinians men, women and children protested the streets for his release.

We now hope the plea’s of people kept as prisoners with no trial or charge brought against them in Guantanamo Bay are considered.

Zahra, Reading, England

... and so forth.

See, GWB really is worse than Hamas!

freetoken, just followed your advise and checked out the BBC site.

It is truly worrying to think there are so many fools in the world, with a deluded sense of self-importance and misplaced emotions. As if they had anything to do with this carefully planned media circus.

And hey, Fatah are saying the same thing - bunch of murderers that they are, they can see the writing's on the wall. From now on, all the America & Israel haters will be falling in love with Hamas.

Sick hearing about this choob. Eejits like him, Brown, his Labour cronies and these turncoat antiwar protesters who are fueling worldwide terrorism with their pacifist appeasement slogans have been given Scotland a bad name for a long time.

Thankfully, the voice of a true Scot has been heard and has given folks a morale boost in the fight against terrorism and given Scotland back a bit of respect.

re: #482 Areopagitica

I also heard the CNN's Ben Wedeman saying that (words to this effect) that Johnston was not a supporter of Hamas (O No, of course not!), Johnston is just too "objective" a reporter! Such hilarity from Wedeman. My only wonder is how Wedeman can make such statements and keep a straight face. Must take practice (liars take note).

I wonder how much the BBC paid to get Johnston "released" -- probably what took up all the time was the haggling over the price -- would it be 10 million to Hamas/Fatah or 20 million? And as if anyone had to actually "worry" about Johnston (what a joke)...or that the objective was not to squeeze the Beeb out of money and get the world to fund Hamas. And now Johnston is singing the praises of Hamas (not that his "objective" pro-terrorist reporting prior to his "kidnapping" has changed by one iota.) (I guess it would be a little too conspiratorial to wonder if Johnston got a piece of the action (in terms of shared loot -- a little bonus from his good pals, Hamas?)

Now the terrorists are also demanding that the world press (that's the pro-terrorists at the BBC, CNN, etc.) re-join the Jihadists in Gaza. They are anxious to get the international media to film their Pallywood stunts. (Use the BBC to "Document" the "murder" of Farfur, the Jihadist rat, and other such "atrocities.") I also found it highly amusing -- prior to the BBC's interview with Johnston that they did a BBC promo ad claiming a "dedication" to "the news" -- well, no, it's actually a dedication to Hamas propaganda, along with pro-Jihadist political commentary. That's the essence of BBC "reporting."
