Trump Pastor: If Biden Wins People Will Start Having Sex With Cows

Frank Amedia, the tsunami-stopping and ant-reviving pastor who founded the POTUS Shield prayer effort to wage spiritual warfare on behalf of President Donald Trump, released a video last Friday in which he claimed that God told him that he is going to shift the polls in key races heading into the election so that Republican candidates gain 5 points, while Democratic candidates lose 5 points.

And to drive home the point of just how important it is for Christians to vote, Amedia warned that failure to do so would result in an America where “animalism” is accepted and “somebody can marry a cow and have perverse sex with them.”

Methinks the Pulpit Pimp OD’d on Milky Way bars…

Epsilon becomes a hurricane.

One more storm and we tie the record-setting 2005 season.

Epsilon’s predicted path puts Bermuda outside the cone of uncertainty. It will then turn northeast and head into the north Atlantic, passing near Newfoundland as a tropical storm.

The tropical wave in the western Caribbean Sea has dissipated.

The tropical cyclone has continued to become better organized on
satellite images this evening, with the Central Dense Overcast
becoming increasingly symmetric. Also the eye, which was
intermittently apparent earlier in the evening, has become better
defined. Epsilon is being upgraded to a hurricane, consistent with
a Dvorak intensity estimate from SAB. This is the tenth hurricane
of the season.

Well because Cunningham is a Democrat, yes it does matter to the CCCP.

Now if he was a Republican like Scott DesJarlais and he forced his wife and mistresses to get abortions it doesn’t matter because the CCCP will give him a pass.

Why?

Because the Corporate Controlled Conservative Press always gives Republicans the benefit of the doubt while they trash Democrats for the slightest offense!

In unrelated news, we got ourselves a battery “power station” for backup power.

We went for the Jackery Explorer 1000 and a pair of portable solar panels. The 1000 watt battery powers either the refrigerator or chest freezer for 7 or 8 hours. We had been a bit unsure if the 1000 watts would be enough because of the start-up surge, but apparently it produces a 2000 watt surge so it works great.

Good choice! Iirc Wirecutter likes the Jackery. As do a number of the current Youtube reviewers.

Nice things about battery power include:
- Not having to set it up and run it outside
- Not annoying your neighbors with the noise
- Not worrying about someone stealing it from your backyard
- Not having to maintain another engine
- Being able to run it inside your home
- Getting good quality/clean (pure sine wave rather than modified sine wave) power

I hope the predicted numbers and real numbers aren’t too far off when all is said and done. I already voted, but with so many areas making voting difficult, and all the people who’ve not cast their ballot yet, and Trump on his pity party tour, Dems may be looking at a rude awakening.

Biden’s camp is still all about strategy and damage control til the last ballot is counted, but I have to wonder if plans are being made right now to freeze Trump’s assets and seize his passport before he sleazes his way out of the states in the event Biden wins. As in: No secret service at his disposal, no taking his toys and leaving the sandbox, no whining about injustice and conspiracy theories on conservative channels, but a nice fat indictment ready to go right out the gate.

If I was in the legal biz in DC, I’d be laying the groundwork for that right now.

Mortality is not directly related to the case rate, it is also very much a matter of the quality and availability of care.

An alternate interpretation of those curves is that Russia hasn’t been as successful as the west at detecting less serious Covid-19 cases.

In the “west” the current massive increase in cases is accompanied by a smaller increase in the number of deaths, but the number of deaths is still going up.

Russia vs the “west” new cases
Russia vs the “west” new deaths

Charles pierce…Esquire

He’s wounded animal. I didn’t believe at first that the tawdry
ratfcking of the Hunter Biden story really was the October Surprise on
which El Caudillo Del Mar-a-Lago had been counting ever since Joe Biden
clinched the Democratic nomination a century ago last spring. But, as
the last week unfolded, and it was revealed that the story was so rancid
that it prompted a wildcat byline strike by reporters at the New York
Post, of all places, it had become clear that he’d been hoping that it
would turn into the 2020 equivalent of the James Comey letter to
Congress that did so much to help him win four years ago. And it is
equally clear that he can’t let it go because he has nothing else. From
Yahoo! News:

“We’ve got to get the attorney general to act,”
Trump said in a telephone interview with “Fox & Friends” when asked
whether a special prosecutor should be appointed to probe unverified
allegations against the Bidens. “He’s got to act. And he’s got to act
fast. He’s got to appoint somebody. This is major corruption, and this
has to be known about before the election.”

The idea that even Bill Barr could gin up a special prosecution
force and conclude its investigation all in the next 14 days is
self-evidently loopy. He’s a wounded animal.

So, on Thursday night, the first time that they mute his microphone
while Biden is talking, I don’t know what will happen, but it will not
be like anything we’ve seen in a political debate before. It is not
inconceivable that he walks off the stage entirely. Nor is it
inconceivable that he’ll simply talk louder. Nor is it inconceivable
that…well, there’s nothing inconceivable anymore. That word doesn’t
mean what we thought it meant. Not anymore. Being a casual friend of
Kristen Welker, I am seriously considering doing a novena on her behalf
Wednesday night. Or, at the very least, I may send her a whip and a
chair. He is a wounded animal, and he’s chewing off his own leg to get
out of the trap

My optimism is failing me today.

We are dealing with an unprecedented situation.

Trump is an incumbent who knows what will happen the moment he loses executive immunity. Heck, if he were to attend his successor’s inauguration, he would find himself served with warrants or even arrested as soon as he left the platform.

And not only does he have criminal organizations backing him up (the RNC, the Trump Organization), he has foreign governments (Saudi Arabia, Russia, et.) ready to interfere in his favor.

And he will has the full powers of the Executive Branch at his disposal. The only hindrance is his own incompetence and unwillingness to delegate and listen to advisers.

Have faith.

The minority who are brainwashed into worshiping him are vocal, but a minority nonetheless.

It will take some time to purge the government of Trump’s evil policies and appointees, but we’ll get there.

For all his bravado, he spoke the truth most recently when he said he’d flee the country if Biden wins. For all I know, he might even do it while still a lame duck.

We WILL get through this and Trump WILL see punishment - either self-banishment from the country, or standing trial in the SDNY. Just have a little faith.

Yeah Sure WhatEVs  Oct 21, 2020 • 5:52:54am

Trump has gotten some help from the Preserve America super PAC largely funded by casino magnates Sheldon and Miriam Adelson, who poured $53.8 million into TV and digital ad buys.

Ike Perlmutter, the longtime chair of Marvel Entertainment, and his wife, Laura Perlmutter, donated $21 million to the pro-Trump America First Action, and businessman Timothy Mellon also gave $10 million.

The president promised in early September to spend as much as $100 million of his own money on his re-election campaign, but so far he’s contributed only about $8,000 this election cycle — compared to the $66 million he donated to his first presidential campaign.

There is no way Trump will win in any fair and honest election. But there’s the rub: he is a criminal supported by criminal structures and organizations, all desperate enough to try anything to keep from losing the election.

I cringe because I fear that something is still coming: something so outrageous and unheard-of in its blatant fuckery that it will leave us momentarily paralyzed and unable to counter it until the damage has already been done.

I’m starting to think he just wants out at this point, and he’s doing a smash and grab to try and wring every penny out of his campaign and supporters on the way out.

He drained $350 million out of his own reelection campaign, and he’s trying to jam through that 5G deal for a company he owns stock in. He’s looking more and more like a grifter looking for the closest exit.

re: #55 Wendell Zurkowitz ((slave to the waffle light))

Bingo. Trump is too lazy and incompetent to pull off a coup, and if Barr can’t even manage to shit out a “report” on “Obamagate” at least implying criminal wrongdoing, he sure can’t rig an election Trump is losing by 10 million votes.

Update from North Carolina:
Through Tuesday, more than 2.15 million absentee and one-stop votes have been recorded, representing nearly 30 percent of the overall registered voters.

Current percentage breakdown is 43.7 Democratic; 27.5 Republican; 28.5 Unaffiliated.

The total number of votes thus far is more than 45 percent of what was recorded in 2016.

Turnout 4 years ago was 69 percent. A 70 percent turnout this time would mean more than 5.1 million votes will be cast.

NC posts absentee and one-stop votes at the beginning of the Election Day count, so we will have a great idea of how the state is trending early on.

Just have a little faith.

no one has yet convincingly explained how a president would flee the country. he has an entire train of people who follow him around. his schedule is known months in advance. if he loses the election, nobody is going to just let him hop on a plane to Russia. He doesn’t own Air Force One, and the secret service takes an oath to protect him, but also to prevent him from transparently attempting to engage in what would be treason in most other countries with less generous feelings about what treason entails.

Mrs. Fish and I are of the opinion that Miley is a talented young singer who got used by her dad as a stepping stone to try to revive his career. We saw her on SNL on an episode that aired a few years ago, and she knocked it out of the park. And there’s no doubt she’s come a long way since her early days.

I find Miley quite interesting, though I’ll admit my favorite woman pop star is Pink. Still Miley has her own charms and I am quite interested in seeing her take on Metalica.

hi

The right-leaning Omaha World-Herald has endorsed Biden and Harris.

Editorial: Joe Biden’s leadership would benefit our country

Our country, buffeted by the COVID crisis, economic unsteadiness and ongoing political rancor, is in dire need of leadership. Steady, capable leadership that provides a sound moral compass and brings Americans together to meet our many national challenges.

President Donald Trump is failing that all-important test. In this year’s election, Joe Biden, the former vice president and U.S. senator, provides the sounder choice for moving the country forward — together.

Biden’s critics argue that he offers little to our country. But they sidestep the enormous value of his background: Biden has witnessed and participated in Washington’s national policy debates for decades, and that experience has informed him deeply about our country, its principles and the best ways to achieve national progress.

Biden has seen statesmen and stateswomen achieve great accomplishments in the Senate, and he has seen layabouts and buffoons waste their privilege of service as senators. He has witnessed how bipartisan cooperation can bring about landmark change, and how petty political warring needlessly fritters away vital opportunities for progress.

The list of issues Biden has seen debated, and helped address, in the Senate is impressively long and notable. Here is a small sampling: Renewals of the federal Voting Rights Act. The extent of presidential war powers. Strategies for strengthening U.S. military effectiveness. Details of environmental regulation. Restructuring the nation’s intelligence community. Support for disabled Americans.

Remembering back in the day, before there were fancy coffee places (so we’re talking a few decades ago) when my boyfriend measured his consumption of coffee in number of pots per day. He’s since backed off.

Back during the dot-com boom, I landed my first web job, running a graphics shop for a company that got a contract job for an MLM outfit in Florida run by a sleaze named Brad Richdale (another whole story for a different day). It was at that job that I met my wife, who by that time was already a whiz at finding crazy stuff on the web.

Because we were on a contract job with heavy deadlines, we’d put in long days and there was much coffee consumed. One day my wife found a site that sold caffeinated water called Crank 2O. She ordered a couple of cases, and for a month or so everyone on the crew was drinking coffee brewed with caffeinated water. We knocked tose deadlines down left and right.

And as far as I can tell from reviews, their customer service beats Goal Zero’s. :)

Who said “civil unions.” Did he say it, or did it get translated that way by the AP?

It came out in an interview in an Italian newspaper. The National Catholic Register is already backpedaling here in the US with “what he really said was …”

Translation service provided by Zenit:

Many countries have regulated civil unions. Is it a path that the Church can understand? But up to what point?

Holy Father: Marriage is between one man and one woman. The secular States want to justify civil unions to regulate different situations of coexistence, spurred by the need to regulate economic aspects between persons as, for instance, to ensure healthcare. Each case must be looked at and evaluated in its diversity.

Joe Biden’s presidential campaign says it is amassing an unprecedented army of attorneys for an expected legal brawl over whether ballots will count in the weeks after the election. The effort will involve several other top Democratic voting rights and election law attorneys as well as Eric Holder, the former attorney general.

60 Minutes staff are not beholden to the White House and also under sufficient editorial control to be told to ask and then follow up on questions. Therefore the Trump weave and dodge tactic won’t work and Lesley Stahl has by now interviewed enough assholes for the show that she knows not to allow herself to be bullied.

So Trump gets interviewed by a woman prepared and willing to be forceful in the face of his BS. Is anyone surprised he walked out and had a sad?

Yeah, especially looking at cases vs. deaths in the US you see that the proportions are a lot different in the second (and so far third) surges.

The thing is, this only works until the hospitals get overwhelmed. And (in the US) part of the mortality problem in the first surge was NYC got moderately overrun.

I’m a little skeptical about whether the second surge was actually bigger than the first given hospitalization numbers, but the curves are headed to bad places right now.

This is 100% purely anecdotal. I’ve lived in my neighborhood of Ostrava South for seven years now. There’s a lot of retirees here in my neck of the woods; I’d say the majority of the residents in my apartment block are in the 65+ crowd.

Used to be that I’d hear or see an ambulance in my immediate neighborhood maybe once a month or so. Now….I’m seeing ambulances once or twice a day, all racing to the apartment blocks that surround mine.

I take the bus for food shopping. The grocery is on a busy road between two cities, and the local hospital is at one end of the route. I’m often watching traffic while waiting for my bus.

I counted ambulances. During the worst times (where I was, and still am, masked) I would constantly hear sirens. At home, I would hear sirens, because I’m in an apartment as well.

It’s quiet where I am, right now. Hope it doesn’t get worse for either of us.

I saw, that, and it’s a really weird way to put it. Most places will have >20% ICU usage at any time for non-C19 anyway. Indiana had 45% non-COVID ICU occupancy (C19 occupancy was another 18%) yesterday so is he saying that an ADDITIONAL 20% will be reserved? Or that they’ll allow non-COVID patients will be pushed out but only down to 20%? Crazy no matter how I parse it.

This week the state is almost triple the previous peak of cases from April.

Locally in the Panhandle, ICU bed availability is at 35%, as we surge further into the “high risk of transmission” category.

This “20% ICU beds reserved for non-Covid cases” causes other problems. My county hospital has one ICU bed. The same goes for most of the county hospitals here.

Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff is the largest hospital, but Scott’s Bluff County has the overwhelming majority of active cases. Moreover, if the county hospitals can’t handle the surge, that’s where they go.

Sidney Regional Medical Center (really a large county hospital) has morgue trucks set up outside.

That really isn’t likely though since many of the cardinals that will choose Francis’s successor will have been appointed by him. Plus I think they know that the ultra socially conservative stuff really alienates people.

The first case in the Panhandle was April 1. The rise in cases was pretty slow thanks to the quarantine here until it was overrun by the state governor.

In the last five days we’ve risen from 1,315 to 1,468 cases. 33% of our cases have been in October.

So many Democrats have already voted that Republicans will have to turnout in big numbers to make it close (+3 Biden for high turnout). Greenfield also leads Ernst.

That part of it is not far off…Biden will have to choose between keeping the Stock Market artificially inflated up with half-trillion in taxpayer money or let it crash down to the levels that it would be without the Trump pump.

And this will affect a lot of 401k’s and a lot of other pension plans and institutional investors.

Yep. Outside of public plans, there are few traditional pension plans out there. Most of us rely on our 401(k)s and Social Security to finance our retirement. So a significant and long-term drop in the market does affect ordinary people, not just the wealthy who tend to have sufficient and diversified assets to see them through anything.

There have been police brutality protests for several days across Nigeria.

A number of people have reportedly been shot dead or wounded at a protest against police brutality in Nigeria’s biggest city, Lagos.

Witnesses and the rights group Amnesty International said several people were killed and wounded when soldiers opened fire.

The state governor said about 25 people had been wounded but only one person had died.

An indefinite 24-hour curfew has been imposed on Lagos and other regions.

Protests over a now-disbanded police unit - the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (Sars) - have been taking place for two weeks, with demonstrators using the social media hashtag #EndSars to rally crowds.

As tensions continued to rise on Wednesday, police in different districts of Lagos fired shots in the air to disperse people defying the curfew, the BBC’s Nduka Orjinmo reports from the capital, Abuja.

Protesters who briefly gathered again at the Lekki toll gate - where Tuesday’s shootings took place - were forced out by police, he adds.

In a statement on Wednesday, President Buhari did not directly refer to the shootings, but called on people to have patience as police reforms “gather pace”.

A statement issued by his office said the dissolution of the Sars was “the first step in a set of reform policies that will deliver a police system accountable to the Nigerian people”.

“The presidency wishes to reiterate the full commitment of the Buhari administration to the implementation of lasting police reforms in Nigeria,” it added.

Many of the poor get thrown in jail for drug use and lose their right to vote while those actually responsible for the damage to our society get off essentially scot-free and retain much of their ill-gotten gains.

Everything the GOP Does dies: The Foxcon debcale

But in actual reality, the project has succeeded in manufacturing mostly this: an endless supply of wonderful things for the President to promise his supporters. This past weekend, in an interview with a local Wisconsin TV station, Trump insisted Foxconn had built “one of the most incredible plants I’ve ever seen” in Mount Pleasant and would keep its promises and more if he was reelected. “They will do what I tell them to do,” he said. “If we win the election, Foxconn is going to come into our country with money like no other company has come into our country.”

No one wanted to believe promises like this more than the people who went to work for Foxconn in Wisconsin. They each came to regret different things: the wasted time, the jobs they’d left, the integrity lost making deals and offering jobs only to have the company change course. But one common theme was frustration that it hadn’t turned out to be real and that long after they’d learned the truth, they saw the facade still standing. “There are a lot of good people who fell for this,” said one employee, shortly before departing a job at Foxconn. “Who wanted to see it succeed.”

“We got screwed,” another former employee said. “The state got screwed.”

This is worse than the Superconducting SuperCollider disaster.

Shot:

The reputation of Rudy Giuliani could be set for a further blow with the release of highly embarrassing footage in Sacha Baron Cohen’s follow-up to Borat.

In the film, released on Friday, the former New York mayor and current personal attorney to Donald Trump is seen reaching into his trousers and apparently touching his genitals while reclining on a bed in the presence of the actor playing Borat’s daughter, who is posing as a TV journalist.

Following an obsequious interview for a fake conservative news programme, the pair retreat at her suggestion for a drink to the bedroom of a hotel suite, which is rigged with concealed cameras.

Chaser:

After she removes his microphone, Giuliani, 76, can be seen lying back on the bed, fiddling with his untucked shirt and reaching into his trousers. They are then interrupted by Borat who runs in and says: “She’s 15. She’s too old for you.”

It is significantly colder here, but I can’t find any statistics for Scottsbluff/Alliance/Chadron.

A couple years ago I was scheduled for hand surgery at the Cheyenne VA on June 1. The NWS scheduled us for a blizzard, so my wife and I went a couple days early and stayed.

I showed up at the hospital for my surgery and was told the surgeon couldn’t make it because he was snowed in so it was cancelled. “Aw hell no, he lives in town and drives a Ford F-250. If I could get here in a Smart, he can get here in his monster truck.”

The Russian Communist Party is somewhere in the vinicity of David Duke on social questions. (OK, I’m exaggerating, but only a bit.)

Ha.

It’s only the first day and it’s still early. I wish our damned media would stop trying to discourage people with their constant polling and estimated turnout and all that. There may be more republicans voting in person, today. But the early ballot totals haven’t been added in yet and there’s still 13 days left. And Florida does lean conservative, I wonder how the down ticket races are looking, those mean a lot too. Don’t give up hope, it can be hard I know, but all we can do is give people good info, help them navigate the system and get their asses to the polls if we can.

re: #325 Hecuba’s daughter

So Purdue Pharma is paying a 8 billion dollar fine for their crimes — but no one is going to prison and much of their wealth may have been moved offshore. This is so infuriating. Many of the poor get thrown in jail for drug use and lose their right to vote while those actually responsible for the damage to our society get off essentially scot-free and retain much of their ill-gotten gains.

Makes me want to see the death penalty applied to criminal corporations. After all Mitt said they are “People”…

Sigh.

Our RW Texas brother and his wife voted early too and it’s 100% certain how they voted. Florida would be having different results if the Republican legislature hadn’t instituted a poll tax to bar released felons from getting their voting rights restored. States under GOP control work overtime at depriving minorities of their right to vote.

There are two ballots with Joe Biden and Kamala Harris marked on them sitting in prison as we speak, with our names on the envelopes.

That scene took two days to film, because on the first day someone brought a bottle of Southern Comfort to the set, and Andy was taking nips between takes. By the end of the day, he was so hammered that the director sent him home.

Andy Griffith was a lot better actor than a lot of critics would give him credit for - though it was hard to get past the aw-shucks-country-boy shtick he loved to milk for ratings.
Though he did like his tipple, though: I recall when I was a teenager, I sat a row in front of Andy at some performance at the LA Music Center.
I could smell the whisky even several seats away…

They missed out on the sexual and social revolutions of the 60’s and 70’s and are really stuck in an odd, backward patriarchal almost Russian peasant view of social roles.

And they are, schizophrenically, fans of the Russian Orthodox Church now. Of course.

Here’s the clip where Andy tells the tale.

I mis-remembered a couple of things - it took four days to shot, and Andy was nipping Jack Daniels.

I’m with him. Southern Comfort is way too sweet, JD would be a better way to go.
