Nut Who Threatened Cantor Also Threatened Obama
It’s amazing how many people are sending me hate mail about Norman Leboon, the wacko who was arrested for threatening Republican Rep. Eric Cantor, saying that I’m supposed to “retract” something. Well, sorry to disappoint you, anonymous haters, but I’m not retracting anything.
Norman Leboon is not a left winger or a right winger. Like Joe Stack, who crashed his airplane into a federal building recently, Leboon is a deranged, disgruntled nutcase. Political ideology had absolutely nothing to do with his threats against Cantor. Leboon’s antipathy toward Cantor seems to stem from pure antisemitism more than anything else.
And by the way, Leboon also threatened Barack Obama a year ago.
The pathetic desperation of the wingnut community is almost palpable; they’re feverishly anxious to excuse their own bad behavior by finding an example of “left wing” threats. But this is one very obvious consequence of the current climate of crazy hyperbolic rhetoric coming from the right wing: it encourages and incites nuts like Leboon to start acting out their fantasies.
So go ahead and keep sending those hate mails, folks. They get exactly the consideration they deserve; i.e., none.
