How Do You Say ‘Liar’ in German?

The pro-fascist German website pi-news.net is now claiming that I “forged” the photograph of Filip DeWinter with Markus Beisicht of the “Pro Koln” group: Translated version of http://www.pi-news.net/.

This is an outrageous lie. In my previous post, I linked to the site where I found the picture, through Google Images: Translated version of Markus Beisicht (per NRW): “Islamization fight!”

Since I now see even Michelle Malkin linking to Robert Spencer’s dishonest, scummy attack piece, let me make this very clear: I did not alter that photograph. Anyone who says this is either severely mistaken or lying.

Again, the point of the photograph is not changed by the fact that someone altered the background. It shows two fascists shaking hands, and one of them is an organizer of the Pro Koln conference; and the unaltered photograph shows the exact same thing.

And there are many more photographs of these two people together at the Pro Koln website itself.

Getting in front of it is the best way - proactive. As a woman, I've learned that the only way to win a fight with a man is to get in the first punch.

Zombies are hard to kill, since they are already dead. However, this is not about them - it's about the readers who might swallow what they dish out.

I'm really sad that so many sites seem to be going off the deep end and giving you trouble for not joining them in the pits, but I am glad (and I've said it before) you like this stuff, because we do count on you.

While pro-Köln's pro-Israel-attitude is clearly fake, PI-news has always been and is still defending Israel (their Israel-related posts are the still only good ones). Though, in the recent past, they have allied with the wrong people and start out being more and more openly hostile towards not only foreigners from islamic countries, but also against black people.
Along with their collaboration with fascists, they also let Anti-Semites write for their blog, like Holocaust-denier Thomas Voss, while deleting comments critizising this. I've posted about this incident back then.
But one should not forget that PI's leftist enemies (they have a lot in the German blogosphere) are in no way better, since those are extremely hostile towards Israel and the USA and have huge sympathies for radical Islam.

One German (PI-news reader) is attacking me at JW: "I came from Hamburg to Köln to protest with Israelflags together with Pro Köln against the pro Palästinians demonstrations in front of the dome (10.01.2009). We were pushed away by Antifas (and maybe Gegenkritik?)"

At 10th January, there was a small pro-Israel-demonstration (not more than 100 people), while simultaneously there was a huge (some thousand) pro-Hamas-demonstration.
I know some of the people of the pro-Israel-demonstration, they told me that Stefan Herre (founder of pi-news.net) along with some other people tried to join them, but they were rejected, as they didn't want to have rightwing-extremists at their demonstration.
Here you can see a video from that demonstration.

That the image was doctored is irrelevant. However, it comes as no surprise that the neo-Nazis and their sympathizers such as Robert Spencer are making an issue of it.

I had seen the same image prior to it being posted at LGF with the same background. This was posted at the website sometimes around 2008. When I first saw the image I was curious to the banner and the location but gave it no thought. The point of the image is the subject of Beisicht and DeWinter. That these two are involved in demonstrations in which goons are in the audience is a fact that remain regardless of the doctored image.

The neo-Nazi connections to pro-Koeln remain and his been further enhanced by German posters to this website. That Markus Beishicht was the attorney for the defense of the neo-Nazi Axel Reitz is also a fact that remains on the record.

During this time Robert Spencer has refused to acknowledge these connections. The only conclusion I can make is the is aware of them but presses forward because he is sympathetic to their cause of bigotry.

In the mean time Robert Spencer has picked up new allies in this cause including the bigoted websites Brussels Journal and the German site, Politically Incorrect. He has also picked up the support of the controversial blogger Robert Stacy McCain. He has embraced these new alliances which in itself further exposes Robert Spencer's true ideology which has found an audience with the European neo-Nazi political base.

Yeah, they are only democratics defending the constitution, except when they produce and sell nazi rock as Rouhs used to do, and were functionaries for the Deutsche Liga, which was decidely not defending the constitution, except when they sell recordings of Hitler Jugend music as Rouhs does just today (someone may want to take a screenshot of this before it disappears!) Pi News and Herre know *exactly* what Pro-Köln is up to, and with what kind of people they are dealing there. Note that at NO point pi-news even acknoledges the real nature of the criticism against the Pro Köln group, all they is hitting strawmen. They sure know why they do not want their readers to learn about what Pro-Köln really is (although no doubt many of their readers do know).

Schramm made a conscious decision to distance herself from her father as much as humanly possible, Alessandra Mussolini did not. I'd like to hear more about this son you are talking about.

Anyway, Beisicht most definitely was involved with founding the DLVH, yes. One has to understand here that both Rouhs and Beisicht have been very important players in the German extreme Right for many, many years. These are by no means nobodys, or merely a local phenomenon in Cologne. They are very prominent in the German extreme right.

It is typical for such people to be involved with several different parties and groups over the years, as a result of the massive amount of infighting in the German extreme right. That they are now in yet another club doesn't mean they changed - they always used to change horses regularly, as did and do their fellow extremists.

Beisicht and Rouhs separated from the "Republikaner" (a party created by the late SS-officer Franz Schoenhuber) to the DLVH. Both were involved from the very beginning of the creation of the party. Later they created the membership corporation "pro Koeln" and canceled the party status of DLVH.

Beisicht and Rouhs are old comrades. Rouhs' neo-Nazi publishing house is established in an apartment of Beisicht's father in law who is also the lawyer of "pro Koeln".

Rouhs is also a holocaust denier. In 1984 he wrote a letter to the editor of a neo-Nazi magazine ("Die Bauernschaft") where he stated "that it is untrue that 6 million Jews were murdered or killed in the 3. Reich and that Germany wasn't responsible for the WWII". He later went to court with the argument that he wasn't the author of the letter but was rejected.

Yes, Mussgnug - former head of the NPD - was also a founder of the DLVH. Mussgnug was the initiator because he was dropped as NPD leader - and formed the DLVH together with Beisicht, Rouhs and a couple of former DVU members as Ingo Schachtschneider, Ingo Stawitz, Karin Voß and Benvenuto-Paul Friese.

99 per cent of the political environment of the "pro-movements" have a background in either the NPD or the DVU or the "Republikaner". Rouhs was nominated in 1985 by the NPD as candidate for the German parliament. Later he joined the "Republikaner" - together with Beisicht - and together they established the party in Cologne.

Let me offer the perspective of a conservative German here.
Charles, you are absolutely correct about Pro Köln, there isn't much to add here except that the German Verfassungsschutz is observing them has a right wing extremist group. And yes they associate themselves with Neo Nazis.
PI-News (formery "Politically Incorrect") has actually tried to be a sort of German LGF, but in fact many of the posters adhere to very right wing, often racist views. They enjoyed a certain popularity but almost all conservative blogs have deleted them from their blog rolls. They sport an "aggressive pro Israel" attitude which in my opinion is nothing but a facade to hide their racist attitude.

Thought the following links might help. I found pictures of a rally in Cologne in 2002 with Manfred Rouhs, Markus Beisicht, and neo-Nazi Siegfried Borchardt (otherwise known as "SS Siggi") in attendance. There also appear to be signs referencing the NPD (National Democratic Party of Germany).

The comments are also interesting: besides some traditional anti-Americanism (PI-news are pro-USA, but most of their commenters aren't), Charles is being described as a communist, who actually must have been happy at 9/11. The guy who wrote this, is not some random commentator, but one of the most active guys at PI.

PI-news is becoming paranoid more and more, they are immune to every criticism. It is a shame, especially because most other major political-blogs in Germany (who are against PI) are heavily agitating against the USA and Israel, advocating Islam wherever they can.
For example, the biggest watchblog for PI, a viciously anti-semitic hate-site, recently compared President Bush to this thug Zayed al Nahyan.
If you are looking for good blogs in German, I recommend Die Achse des Guten (which often also features English Articles, e.g. from John Rosenthal) and Lizas Welt.

While I agree that the details of the background do not change the import of the main action - I also have to say this.

Charles - please watch how defensive you 'no it's not! ' sounds. This site was founded and prospers on the ability to parse details of the visual media and tell true from false. If any part of any photo or claim - however minor or trivial - posted on this site is not 100% accurate the only fair, decent, and most important *tactical* thing to do is acknowledge, correct the detail, and *thank* the person who gave that better truth.

That is the way the LGF stays on the side of hard reality rather then the moonbat side of political fantasy.

Great work Charles, there should be no rocks under which these evildoers could hide. I don't believe Michelle Malkin would ever take the side of neo nazis or slam you for fighting them. She's classy, honest and a patriotic American.
I am sad to see Spencer go down the rabbit hole of national socialist psychopathy. This is not a case where you could make the argument the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Nazis and neonazis cannot be the friends of any civilized peoples no matter what the cause. I make the same case with communists too.
