Robert Stacy McCain Posts Racist and Homophobic Slurs on Twitter

Wingnuts • Views: 8,950

White supremacist blogger (and contributor to Pajamas Media) Robert Stacy McCain is watching the World Cup, and he just posted this lovely comment on Twitter:

Alternatively #USA cheers for #ARG against #MEX beaners #WorldCup #tcot

This ugly racial slur was preceded by … more ugly racial slurs:

#USA Now reduced to cheering for #UK limey faggots to defeat #GER kraut swine #WorldCup #tcot

Remember, though; according to the right wing blogosphere, McCain is definitely not a racist. Or a bigoted homophobe. Or a white supremacist.

Just a guy who occasionally slips up and calls Mexicans “beaners,” Brits “faggots,” and Germans “kraut swine.” Is that so wrong?

In the aftermath of Dave Weigel losing his Washington Post job for posting emails to a private listserv, what do you think the odds are that The American Spectator will hold McCain accountable for spewing racist slurs in public on Twitter?

First of all, "real" Americans shouldn't bother with the World Cup at all, right?

Second of all, anyone who wasted 90 minutes of their life watching England/Algeria wants to see the overpaid English players and their VERY overpaid coach get punished for putting fans to sleep!

Let's see how long it takes for McCain to see this post. I'm betting he gets it in less than 15 minutes.

This bit of street theater is repeated so predictably that it must be satisfying needs on both sides of the police barriers. If everyone wanted it stopped, it could be stopped, effectively and without escalation.

Obsolete . to have sexual intercourse (usually fol. by with ).

Excerpt:

For different reasons, we are organizing and defying the alienation and desperation that defines the height of corporate globalization. Instead of utilizing the traditional and accepted channels of change, inspired by movements and heros from the past, we focus on direct forms of organization. Most important, our actions inspire countless people to believe that, what is, does not have to be.

Right. These fuckheads know that the cops are under extreme restraint. I really wish the gloves would come off and the perpetrators dealt with in a fashion which would stop them cold. It makes me sick to see people cheering the torching of police cars.

That doesn't mean it's right, nor does it mean it's wrong under the circumstances. And what are the odds that someone who would blame public education for the anarchist's behavior are themselves "a product" of a public education?

Yes, and kudos for pointing it out, but the bigger issue still is what the anarchists do, and how they think, as the comment below the photo illustrates

Do they think? Or do they just spout things they've been told or read?

That is entirely too true. I don't believe that anarchists are the product exclusively of public education, in fact, I "graduated" from a progressive, alternative school on the upper West Side of Manhattan, and damn near every trust-fund kiddy I met there was an anarchist wannabe. But I stand by my assertion that these kids get a pass from some of our admin and faculty. I listen to these Bozos at the table during lunch.

I just think the crazy has pretty much reached critical mass. This is certainly benefiting the JBS but it's going to cost the Republican party elections. These conspiracies are leading Republicans to become vocal supporters of some very unpopular ideas.
The BP apology is a prime example. BP's has a 6% approval rating in America. That's down in the territory of Saddam Husein and coddling them as victims is bad news for Republicans.
Beck's praise of McCarthy is the same thing. McCarthy is one of the most hated and ugliest people in recent American history and Republicans are fucked if they try to undo that. The American public will never endorse a return of McCarthyism.

one thing very good about Romney is that he's a northeast and michigan based republican. Republicans in northern Democrat strongholds have trouble being elected, but Romney isn't one of them. He's moderate and cerebral, but able to make a tough decision. And he has had many people in deep blue Mass vote for him in the past. The GOP can't win without stealing some northeast votes. Romney gets that done. To me, he is not just the best choice, he seems like the ONLY choice.

I'm trying to imagine life with 5 people as my "assistants."

I currently am a mother of 5, so my ratio is in reverse. I'm an assistant to 5.

Speaking of the G20:

Obama and new British PM bond over beer

US President Barack Obama and British Prime Minister David Cameron toasted the "special relationship" between their two countries on Saturday, swapping bottles of beer after a World Cup bet.

[...]

On relations between the two countries, Obama told reporters that he and Cameron had "established a strong working relationship and we are confident that the special relationship is only going to get stronger in the months and years to come."

Cameron agreed, saying: "The relationship between our two countries I think is incredibly strong and I think can get stronger in the years ahead." [...]

But wait! I thought President Obama had destroyed our relationships with our "allies"! Isn't that what the far right (now including Frum apparently) keeps telling me?

More G20 fun here:

[Link: www.flickr.com...]

Oh joy.
Been a while since we had a really good, top-drawer hippy riot on this continent. I was an eyewitness to the archetype of all such events, the Chicago convention riots of 1968. I watched most of it from the balcony of my parents' hotel room. I was 18 and had shoulder length hair so I didn't go anywhere near the street for fear the cops would mistake me for a communard and beat the crap out of me.
My mom, who was a delegate, was sure Nixon had somehow put the pinkos up to it. The Dickster probably wished he had the mojo for such a diabolical trick, but he had just started his own campaign and the dirty tricks wouldn't reach their height of refinement until quite a bit into his term.
It's well documented that the sense of smell has great power to arouse memories. The slightest whiff of tear gas, or anything like it, will take me back to Chicago 68 as though it happened yesterday.

A bunch of us moms were discussing why we like a certain hospital in town to give birth in. It came down to their "food any time you want" policy.

To a mom, the idea of being able to tell someone else "get me food" and they DO IT is amazing. And then they just take it away and that's the end of it. Wow.

The article didn't say that, did it? It was "tombs" which I think are like mausoleums, mini buildings. Or are you talking about something else. I doubt they would drill into the caskets. Opening them even? I mean, you need a court order in this country for that.

They were looking for "hidden documents." To prove a coverup? But to start out by defiling the tombs seems a bit extreme. I mean, maybe as a last resort. I'm confused as to why they did it.

I existed in O---kla---ho---ma for over three years (one of those corporate "do this for two years and we'll bring you back" deals that became permanent until I quit), and while I have never wished anything but happiness, health, success, and prosperity to all the fine folks there, I have zero inclination to return.

Get these anarchist assholes out of the way, and all of the left-wing protests would be peaceful.

Indeed. They came to Miami when we had the FTA talks in 2003, the free trade agreements. There were a number of planned protests. Huge protests all okd by local government (Dade and Broward counties). One was even a nude protest at the beach - they got down to their skivvies... not quite "nude." (slackers) The other was a 3 day walk from Ft. Laud to Miami led by local police. All peaceful.

When the black bloc showed up, they tried breaking the police lines by either throwing things at them or spraying them, but that didn't go over well. There were 3000 police in downtown that day from all over. Upstate FL, even Michigan, Georgia. Swat teams, police dogs, APCs. It was a scene I must say, but for those who do business downtown, it was a God's send. Wherever these lunatics go, they destroy property, buildings, cars, anything they can. Because of the police presence, the stores were safe.

Now the irony in all of this, they're against the free trade agreements because they believe it hurts immigrant populations, yes? About 95% of Miami downtown businesses are run by, em... guess who?? The presence of the BB shut the city down for a week. You couldn't get in or out. Store owners and employees lost a week's income. Then you have the street vendors. Food, fruit, flowers, even salad vendors. You know, they've never really returned after that.

I really hate the black bloc.

re: #413 Bagua

The Police have a difficult position as they don't want to be heavy handed in their response. I don't understand why more arrests are not made.

They made a lot of arrests here in 2003. The problem is that they ended up also arresting innocent protesters who got caught too close to the scuffles or ended up getting lost from their group. That's another side of their anarchy. They ruin it for everyone.

This.
There are a few political positions I just don't get the appeal of, and anarchist would be top of the list. Mystifies me. Why? Why? How...
gah. What is the appeal? What exactly is the objective?

Very hard to define. I've been sniffing the intertubes for them, and they're very confusing. The SPLC couldn't nail them down, finding some were "anti-racist skinheads". One suggestion is that Black Bloc is less an organization than a tactic used by loosely cooperating groups. More to come, groups like this are more interesting than Cargo Cults.

Being heavy handed initially is a good thing, IMO. Target a group of Black Bloc, pummel the men, and cart them away. You want people to see images of the anarchists bloodied and beaten. The message:

This is Defeat. Avoid it.

Arresting them, arraignments, prosecutions, and all that take up time and money and open them up to more lawsuits. It's easier and cheaper to simply disperse them.

Personally, I'd arrest them, transport them about 50 miles out of town to somewhere gnarly, then let them go, saying, "We're dropping the charges. Have a nice day."

Cool, that would be good info to have. I just don't get them.

Most of them are too dirty and ratty. They need to make themselves more presentable. That bothers me when men are ratty too, but its worse when women look like that. I hope that isn't sexist.

Yea, I love it when you catch them on their cell phones. "Those damn capitalists"...grumble grumble.

They don't know what the hell they're even fighting for.

I don't find the men any more appealing than the women, but then again, I'm not 20 and living in my parent's basement.

That sux, but from one incident you would tar and disdain a service that actually stands between you and, well, anarchy?

O.M.G., Really? The only thing standing between us and anarchy is a thin blue line? Might that not be a tad over dramatic?

re: #18 Ojoe

The word "conservative" is being ripped to shreds.

The useful ideas behind it (the ones that are actually useful) will have to find another tag.

This is simply justice, for the right attempting to turn the word liberal into something pejorative.

The right has been trying for years to make "liberal" = "communist". I have no sympathy now for the right. None.
