Former DOJ Spokesman Slams FBI Director for “Flagrantly Violating DOJ Rules”
Matthew A. Miller served as director of the Department of Justice’s office of public affairs under Eric Holder, and today he harshly criticized FBI director James Comey for releasing his statement about Hillary Clinton’s email case.
Miller says Comey has “flagrantly violated” Justice Department rules before, when he held a press conference to announce he wasn’t recommending charges against Clinton, but said today’s statement, released to House Republicans, was “the worst abuse yet.”
According to Miller, the Justice Department deliberately avoids publicly discussing investigations most of the time, but especially this close to an election.
FBI director Comey has some ‘splaining to do.
Here’s Miller’s Twitter timeline; the tweets slamming Comey are still near the top.
