Yes, in Chicago and San Francisco, ANSWER was a key organizer of the demonstrations. No major protests in Chicago today, at only 7 Degrees F, it is simply so cold that even the most fervent will stay indoors.

It shows some profound ignorance regarding Gaza - the Christians there have been largely expelled by the Muslims. All part of that "we tolerate people of the book as we kill them" thing.

I'm not sure, but it is indeed strange that these incidents all happened on the same day, across the globe, doesn't it?

There are also incidents from January 3rd.

It's good to have this "collection" all in one place. When the incidents are spread out all over the place, in different blogs and in different countries, it's harder to show people the madness. Having it all in one place makes it easy to move this along, which I've done by e-mailing people in my address book, and asking them to pass it on.

The guy who took them was interviewed by a columnist in Canada, but the photos were neither mentioned nor used in the column. I found his account on Flickr, and -- voila -- there they were.

Just to put a little context in the expulsion of Christians from Gaza by the Muslims:

Regarding Gaza; in 1929 (Palestinian Riots) all the Jews were forcibly expelled from Gaza by "Palestinians" with the assistance of the British. The British prevented the Jews from returning. A few managed to return in the 30s and establish a new community.

So, this is nothing new... to include the "under" reporting. ;-)>

Historians may start with media accounts, published books, and the like, but the good ones dig deeper. For example, diaries of ordinary and extraordinary people have been valuable to historians studying the American revolution, the Civil War, and other conflicts. Future historians will have so much to work with from the Internet age, they may just be overwhelmed. With the perspective of time, they'll notice the cognitive dissonance between the MSM line and what really happened. And their first question will probably be, "What on earth was wrong with those people?"

Historians may start with media accounts, published books, and the like, but the good ones dig deeper. For example, diaries of ordinary and extraordinary people have been valuable to historians studying the American revolution, the Civil War, and other conflicts. Future historians will have so much to work with from the Internet age, they may just be overwhelmed. With the perspective of time, they'll notice the cognitive dissonance between the MSM line and what really happened. And their first question will probably be, "What on earth was wrong with those people?"

that seems to be the consensus throughout the world. everything will magically get better on inauguration day and with the Obama administration.

But it seems we are never done with firsts. For example, we had women news anchors. We had women news anchors on major networks. But when Couric was promoted, they STILL made like it was a breakthrough by adding all the qualifiers. The FIRST woman anchor of a major network that wasn't part of a team.

I think some people can't let it go and need the "firsts" to continue, because they need to have America considered as a place just beginning to recover from racism/sexism/whatever but never fully cured.

I did vote for Obama, I like him, but I did not "hate" Bush and respected the office too. I did not always agree with GW's polices, but did not wish him failure, nor the country harmed under his leadership. Local opposition is the correct, but seldom followed path for both sides.

I think that statement actually says something very nice about us. We as a people have moved so far from the racial prejudices of our Grandfathers era .
We must remember though that there are still a lot of Americans who where the victims of those acts, I mean actually having to eat at separate restaurants,use separate restrooms and the such. Imagine growing up with people actually calling you the n word to your face and there was nothing you could do about it. Going to a separate school because you had to or always having to sit at the back of the bus. Do you think those young black boys and girls ever dreamed that they would see a black president in their lifetime? Spot on! I've read that George Washington was only sure that the American Revolution had been a success when John Adams was sworn in and accepted by the people as the president of the United States.

That is what is "historic" about each new administration. The fact that the reins of power are transferred peacefully from one administration to another. That is not something that happens routinely everywhere in the world and I think we Americans sometimes lose sight of that fact.

Very cool! All vets should have the emblem of their faith (or lack thereof) on their headstones, whatever it is. They served to defend the kind of freedom that makes that sort of spiritual diversity possible.

(BTW, I especially like that they include a Native American Church one. The NAC's members have had some legal problems in recent years because of their use of peyote as a sacrament.)

That doesn't mean that an Independent couldn't conceivably win the Presidency and pull enough support throughout his term to start a viable third Party, but it's a long shot.

to play the devils advocate? No one had a problem with people walking around for years with the Irish-American or Italian-American shirts and everything else. When I was in Boston I saw a huge convention hall that was Italian-American meeting hall of some kind. My brothers wife's family always maintained they were Italians first, Americans second although they had all been born here.

I do not think thy were representative of the 52% that carried his vote. The entire African-American population in the USA is only 14%.

A person's religious belief, as I am sure we know, is often that of his/her parents. From what I have learned in My Life, one cannot chose their parents.
To Me - any Soldier who dies in the service of the US Military is entitled to a monument of the Faith we best know they understood and, perhaps, professed. That is all.

Gee this video looks somewhat like the "antiwar" violence in Chicago in the Days of Rage, Oct 8-11, 1969, courtesy of Ayers, Dohrn and associates in the US.

Antiwar is in quotes because the WUO's campaign of violence continued long after the US got out of VietNam. That was no more a genuine part of their agenda than opposing sexism or improving race relations was. See Prairie Fire -- "We are communist women and men..."

BTW, that blond near the start of the video was Diana Oughton, Billy Ayers' girlfriend at the time. She died in a townhouse explosion March 6, 1970, during construction of antipersonnel bombs intended for a dance at Fort Dix. Two women escaped out the front of the townhouse. One was Kathy Boudin, who could be described as Ayers' first wife, notwithstanding that these folks were out to smash monogamy. Boudin was arrested in 1981 for involvement in a failed Brinks heist in New York, in partnership with the BLA and the May 19th Coalition. Subsequently, David Gilbert and Kathy Boudin's infant child was adopted by their close friends Ayers and Dohrn.

I just cant get over the 31 muslim wars around the globe and the sheer gall of protesters when we get involved in two, and israel in one.. How is all this possible.. Got Iran flagrantly flouting the UN, openly stating it's gonna continue and expand enrichment, radiation therapy for Israel etc etc. Did we all fall asleep. I live with a muslim from pakistan in a shared house and recently he has changed, he hates the US (always has done).. Now his mates watch zionist conspiracy videos. When I was in Boston I saw a huge convention hall that was Italian-American meeting hall of some kind. My brothers wife's family always maintained they were Italians first, Americans second although they had all been born here.

That's too bad about your brothers wife's family. My dad is of 100% Italian heritage, but proudly considers himself first and foremost, American. There's nothing wrong with being proud of, and knowledgeable about, one's heritage, but America comes first in my book. If it doesn't, we become a house divided against itself.

Fully agree. I think most of the Italian-American, Irish-American, Polish-American, etc all started off in that spirit. But, over time has kind of degenerated with some people into what we see now; a bunch of dashes co-existing in one country.

No matter to them if their individual protest agendas are different. Hate has banded together. When will law enforcement intervene? When a casualty ensues.
It is no wonder that the people in the UK are calling for the return of rights to maintain their personal ownership of guns. I am appalled by the verbal and physical abuse that the UK, London, bobbies are enduring. The Jews are being persecuted all over the world again, and publicly! Still no outcry from the MSM or, any of the governments of any of these protest locations, to put an end to this mob-like behavior and the anti-semetic hatred that is being spewed. The guy who took them was interviewed by a columnist in Canada, but the photos were neither mentioned nor used in the column. I found his account on Flickr, and -- voila -- there they were.

Regarding Gaza; in 1929 (Palestinian Riots) all the Jews were forcibly expelled from Gaza by "Palestinians" with the assistance of the British. The British prevented the Jews from returning. A few managed to return in the 30s and establish a new community.

I think we're going to see the rapid end of the "diversity" meme soon. We already know that "Hispanics" who speak good English have absolutely no trouble assimilating. Black people have been moving rapidly up the economic ladder (see Thomas Sowell for lots of good statistical info).

Few Americans care all that much about skin color anymore except for those who make a living from "caring." Lots of jobs created specially for professional "carers." (affirmative action consultants, etc.)
