IDF Kills Giant Jew-Eating Rabbit

Middle East | Wed, Jan 7, 2009 at 10:03:23 am PST

Last Friday on Hamas TV, Gaza’s children learned that the IDF had killed Assud, the giant Jew-eating rabbit.

Very sad, but at least the bunny didn’t have to undergo amputation.

Several women entered the Israeli consulate in Toronto and are refusing to leave in protest of the Gaza operation, Ynet learned. The women are apparently Jewish and Israeli.

Security officers at the consulate ordered the staff to enter their rooms and refrain from contact with the women. (Eli Senyor and Daniel Edleson)

What's this?

Quartet representative Tony Blair on Wednesday welcomed Israel's decision to allow a temporary humanitarian truce to let aid into Gaza.

"We must now ensure that this decision is fully observed and that there is greater and more predictable access for all humanitarian supplies," said Blair. "Ultimately, we must work towards an agreement for the reopening of the crossings into Gaza, in order to allow the rehabilitation of the Gaza economy."

So what they are saying is that Israel has chosen to lose? There will not be another moment that is as ripe as the current one for at least four years. Bush can't do anything. He doesn't have enough time left, and I don't think he'll want his last days tainted by selling out Israel. And Obama can't do anything, because he isn't President yet.

They've only got fourteen days, and the clock is ticking. I'm reminded of Jimmy Carter's last days, only in reverse. Iran feared Reagan. Iran supports Obama.

Fourteen days.

(I posted this two threads ago, but it's a comment I made that does dovetail with your comment above).

It doesn't matter what this mother writes. Oh yes, it matters to us, here. It matters to people who have grown up with understanding the history of the world, the wars, the people involved, the fears and the tears.

But most of us do not count anymore. We have grown older and have been replaced by a younger cadre of citizens who has never been taught the history of the last 200 years in any linear, comprehensive way, a way that lays out the facts.

Instead, they have been given a foundation, in the simplest terms, a foundation that says "Can't we all get along?"

From there, then, the rest of the history and conflicts and "facts" are laid on that foundation, which of course, is a foundation meant to support multiculturalism and political correctness.

How did this happen? Simple, look at our education system, most of the problem starts there. Look at our news media, a support system for what is taught in the schools. And then popular entertainment, engraining a doctrine of instant gratification, voting a person in or out of your life along with the babbling of "A list" entertainers playing the part of deep thinkers on world issues, instead of keeping their mouth shuts unless a director says "rolling, speed."

We missed the revolution. It was happening right under our noses. We kept faith that plain truth and historical facts would never fall in the face of evil propaganda.

If this scares you, think of what it will be like in 20 years, when a couple of new generations have graduated and entered the adult world.

We've been keeping the faith too long, keeping it tucked away and not making use of it.

Blair hails Israel's decision to allow temporary truce for Gaza aid

What's this?

Quartet representative Tony Blair on Wednesday welcomed Israel's decision to allow a temporary humanitarian truce to let aid into Gaza.

"We must now ensure that this decision is fully observed and that there is greater and more predictable access for all humanitarian supplies," said Blair. "Ultimately, we must work towards an agreement for the reopening of the crossings into Gaza, in order to allow the rehabilitation of the Gaza economy."

And the missiles tony?

The truce is over; Hamas fired grad rockets at Beersheva.
And Israel has said they're not agreeing to a cease-fire that doesn't meet their objectives, so it looks like there won't be an international force to keep Hamas from rearming and attacking Israel from defending itself.

The only "humanitarian" cease fire should be to evacuate civilians, and that means women and children only; any women in the video where they pledged to be homicide bombers aren't allowed out, either, unless it is to a prison camp for war criminals.

Hassenpfeffer Recipe:

1 Jew-eating rabbit, lightly flambed
1/2 cup wine vinegar (have it imported from Lebannon since the Hamas folks probably don't allow any kind of wine)
2 cloves garlic (pack one in each eye socket)
1 bay leaf (place on breast, fold hands of dead wabbit over leaf)
2 tsp salt (while you're at it, salt all of Gaza)
1/2 tsp black pepper (black like Hamas masks)
6 tbsp olive oil (for annoiting the dead wabbit on his trip to Heck)
2 slices bacon (snicker)
1 1/2 c onion (to make sure everyone is crying for the poor wabbit)
1 tbsp flour (for thickening the juices, or is that Jooses?)
1 bottle red wine (in the pot, not in the cook! Again, import from Lebannon)
1 tbsp chocolate, unsweetened (for that touch of bitter bite)

Have the rabbit disjointed and cleaned.
Pour boiling water over it, scrape, rinse, and dry.
In a glass or pottery bowl combine the vinegar, garlic, bay leaf, salt (optional, pepper, and 4 tablespoons of the oil.
Add the rabbit and marinate in the refrigerator for 48 hours.
Drain.
Put the bacon in a Dutch oven and cook until lightly browned.
Add the sliced onions and cook until golden.
Blend in flour and add rabbit.
Cook 10 minutes turning the pieces several times.
Add the wine, bring to a boil, and stir in the chocolate.
Cover and cook over low heat 1-1/2 hours or until tender; add salt and pepper to taste after 1 hour.
While the rabbit is cooking, sauté the white onions in the remaining oil until golden.

Just in case, here's the article:

Former television star Roseanne Barr has denounced Israel's military campaign against Hamas in Gaza, labeling Israel a "Nazi state."

Photo: [Link: www.roseanneworld.com...]

In a post on her personal blog, which appears at her Web site, Roseanne World, the comedienne, who is Jewish, wrote on December 30 that she had planned to travel with pro-Palestinian activists on a protest boat sailing from Cyprus to Gaza.

After an encounter with an Israel Navy vessel, the boat was turned back and sailed into a Lebanese port on Tuesday.

"I said Israel will attack any boat carrying doctors and medical supplies," Barr wrote on her blog, adding that, "Israel is a NAZI state. The Jewish Soul is being tortured in Israel."

The Emmy-award winning actress, who has courted controversy in the past, also condemned Israel's counter-terror operation against Hamas, asserting that, "The destruction of the Jews in Israel has been assured with this inhuman attack on civilians in Gaza."

In her post, Barr likened Hamas to "street gangs" in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Watts, saying that Israel's military campaign is the "equivalent to Los Angeles attacking and launching war on the people of Watts to kill 'the Bloods' and 'the Crips.'"

Barr's comments were first revealed by conservative commentator Debbie Schlussel on her blog, Debbieschlussel.com, and then reported on the Newsbusters Web site, which is a project of the conservative media watchdog group, the Media Research Center.

I just found out that I'm one of the blogs in the "Weblog Awards" this year. But in my category ("Midsize Blog" -- how is that determined? Strange) is also Israel Matzav, by Carl in Jerusalem. Since I have so much admiration for Carl's blog, I refuse to campaign against him! And since he's currently blogging live from a country at war, I think he's a deserving candidate. So: vote for Israel Matzav in the Best Midsize Blog category, unless you really really insist on voting for zomblog anyway, which i suppose you can you if you want -- I can't stop you! But I'd feel guilty taking the award away from Carl, especially since I've won every previous year I've been nominated, and I don't need another award.

All the other blogs in that category have campaign link-buttons and pleas to vote, etc. I can't do that. "If nominated, I will not run. If elected, I will not serve!" (Trivia question: who said that originally?)

(Though, in earlier years, I won the "Best Photo Blog" category, but this year they changed trhe definition of the category and made it be blogs which focus on the technicalities of photography, rather than blogs which feature a lot os photographs.)

I would disagree with the idea that Hitler loved his people. If he had, he would have surrendered long before the Russians began overrunning German territory. I think he loved them when he thought he could use them as tools of expansion but once they began failing him in the face of overwhelming force, he vowed to fight to the end and ensure their destruction.

Voted for you twice already, zombie.

All the other blogs in that category have campaign link-buttons and pleas to vote, etc. I can't do that. "If nominated, I will not run. If elected, I will not serve!" (Trivia question: who said that originally?)

(Though, in earlier years, I won the "Best Photo Blog" category, but this year they changed trhe definition of the category and made it be blogs which focus on the technicalities of photography, rather than blogs which feature a lot os photographs.)

re: #283 Leonidas Hoplite

I would disagree with the idea that Hitler loved his people. If he had, he would have surrendered long before the Russians began overrunning German territory. I think he loved them when he thought he could use them as tools of expansion but once they began failing him in the face of overwhelming force, he vowed to fight to the end and ensure their destruction. Being not worthy to go on since they couldn't defeat a bunch of slavs and mongrels.

I think it's also pretty well documented that he felt "betrayed" by "his" people at the end, and decided they weren't worthy of him. That, too, fed into his insane insistence that they all die.

Courtesy of The Long War Journal... Hassan Nasrallah says "The Zionists will discover that the war they had in July (2006) was a walk in the park if we compare it to what we've prepared for every new aggression".

I guess that last UN Resolution to deny re-arming Hezbollah was another giant success. If only we could hand all of our problems over the congregation of dictators.

I'm still looking for a UN success story but I've reached the end of the internet and nothing.

Try searching for UNsuccessful. That will turn up a ton of links to the UN

Well that wasn't surprising:

Escalation of depriving blockade

Targeting of civilians
Assault little to do with Gazan rockets
US support responsible
And for the finale: nothing but references to the NYT cited

I actually feel offended when they refer to the 9/11 hijackers using the term "kamikaze". The real Kamikaze pilots fought for the wrong side, but with honor, against military targets that could shoot back.

I the Japanese Bushido code the Kamikaze was an acceptable practice. We in our culture find it horrific. But it's important to understand, even we don't accept it, the cultural context of the kamikaze.

I'm not making a moral equivalence argument, just have the ability to intellectually put the practice in a cultural context, to understand how such practices come about.

I'm not drawing parallels between the two.

But we also need to understand, but not accept the cultural context of the Pali Homicide Bomber. Between the belief in the glory of martyrdom, and the fatalism of "Inshallah" makes such things culturally acceptable, even encouraged to the Palis. When understand these roots, comes the realization of the difficulties in dealing with the problem. That "talking" won't overcome that cultural acceptance. The only thing in the short term that will work is to make suicide bombings, tactically, strategically, economically extremely costly, and force the Palis to re-evaluate the cost benefit of the practice until such a time as the culture makes the changes away from acceptance of idea.

405 Ayatollah Ghilmeini  Wed, Jan 7, 2009 11:12:36am

Gaza By the Numbers

By UN accounts, 15 million Palestinians live in Gaza. No Jews live in Gaza because all the Jews and every vestige of the the 35 year presence in Gaza was removed by the Sharon Government in 2005. In addition, thanks to forced conversions from the intimidation of thugs and a few well placed bombs, the number of Christians in Gaza is in deep decline as are the number, if any are left of outlets selling alcohol. Aside from Palestinians, the only increases of note in Gaza in the last two years are members of al Qaeda, Iranian terror trainers, sponsors and money and European aid to alleviate Palestinian suffering.

Hamas built up a force of some 15,000 paramilitary men. This is kind of like bisexuality as they swing both ways between full blown terrorism and use as a military force against the civilian population and political opponents. This was only made possible with Iranian money and the vicious putsch of 2007 which saw Yassir Arafat's personal chef flung from the top story of a building with his hands tied behind his back. According to Hamas own charter, everything they do is in the name of Islam and done using Islamic methods because they are an Islamic organization; they are a Muslim Brotherhood, so is Al Qaeda.

While I am an imperfect prophet and the fighting is not over, I can predict with 100% certainty that the population of Gaza after this war is over will be 1.5 million, less, at most 5000 Hamas terrorists and the unfortunate Palestinian victims killed by Hamas hiding in their midst or brought down by any incidental/accidental fire.

Please note that if Hitler had been as "merciless" as Israel is supposedly is to Palestinians, the Jewish population of Poland alone (assuming no one moved out and zero population growth) would be 2.7 million Jews instead of the 5000 today (3 million Poles or 10% of Poland's non-Jews died of privation and murder from 1939-1945, the 2.7 million number assumes everyone suffering equally in a war).

The point of all this is the absolute moral absurdity of accusing Israel of genocide and the assertion of disproportionality argument. Israel is only using as much force as needed to remove the cancer and the casualty figures prove it. The facts behind the lopsided Palestinian casualty figures are reflected by a simple truth- Hamas is great at killing civilians and terrorizing its subjects but faced by a conventional army, they run and hide or, when they do fight, get cut down like dogs because they aren't trained to fight as normal soldiers. Lastly, if Israel used its military against Gaza the way Hamas uses its forces against Israel, Palestinian civilian casualty figures would be much higher. A single Vietnam era air strike with 10 planes using 1000lb bombs would likely kill several thousand people.

So the numbers do not lie. Israel is using force, but scrupulously, and Hamas is way better at causing Palestinian casualties than fighting a normal war.

Believe in the Victory!

Yeah, Stalin was pretty bad. In raw numbers he killed more people than Hitler did. Kolyma gold mine was responsible for a million or more deaths, making it as deadly as any of the German Death Camps. Stalin inflicted suffering on an unimaginable scale. But there is something about Nazi Germany that makes it feel worse. It was industrialized mass murder to a degree that is hard to rival by any of the other monsters in history.

I guess it is kind of like Jack the Ripper. When you look at the number of women killed, Jack the Ripper doesn't stand out at all from many other serial killers. And there are others who exceed his efforts on almost every level. It may not exactly common, but serial killers aren't exactly rare, either.

But Jack the Ripper still stands out from the crowd.. The same is true of Hitler.

Would the LLL of this country see THAT as an evil act, twisting the minds of tiny children into hate and bigotry? I presume they would.

But for the Palis, they get a pass. Every evil act they do is excused as a "natural" response to some unspoken greater evil that was done TO them.

The left can only see the military as one of two ways: either villains or victims.

They are bullies and thugs, terrifying and killing babies, or they are poor, uneducated pawns of evil rich men running the war. Most of the time the leftists consider them both at the same time without noticing the conflict.

It is when they are considering them poor stupid vicitims that they, the left, feel they are "supporting" the troops, by protecting them from the evil men using them.
