Infamous Right Wing Troll Chuck C. Johnson Attends White Supremacist Event in DC

Last night in Washington DC, some CPAC attendees went to an off-site conference at the Ronald Reagan Building in support of Donald Trump — the annual conference of the white supremacist group with the innocuous-sounding name “the National Policy Institute.”

Why did the people in charge of the Ronald Reagan Building let their facilities be used by this gang of disgusting racists in suits? Draw your own conclusions.

But here’s a pro-tip for notorious stalker Chuck C. Johnson: if you don’t want people to think you’re a white supremacist, maybe you shouldn’t be attending their conferences.

Johnson attended the racists’ event with his new partner, Pax Dickinson, the fired and disgraced former CTO of Business Insider. Here’s a photo of the two of these troglodytes with another infamous racist hate-spewer, Matt Forney. Chuck looks drunk, as usual.

Why do the people who think they’re examples of superior human beings always look so unevolved?

I think he’d have been annoyed at the foolish of the NPI and wouldn’t associate with them.

But Reagan would have saved his true anger for the “Party of Socialism and Liberation”, whom he would have called “parlor pinks” or “useful idiots” in his diary.

Ronald Reagan was a man of his times and experiences and he believed that the Radical Left (ultimately embodied by Communism) was a greater threat to the United States than the Paleo-Right. In his own times in power (as governor of California and later as President of the United States) this was true, in large part because the Radical Left’s many connections to the Soviet Union, both in the US and aboard. But now the Soviet Union is gone and Russia has a different philosophy, and the Radical Left is smaller outside of the universities and far less armed than the Paleo-Right.

So Reagan would have seen things is of limited use now, because the circumstances that prevail are so different.

Look at it this way (and I expect some Republicans to start making this case seriously in coming days): Puerto Rico will soon have 23 delegates who will only be bound to Rubio for one ballot at the Cleveland convention. After that, they can vote for whoever they want. If Republicans who can’t stand Crump or Truz start doing the same, then their delegates will be similarly free. So go vote for those futile candidates, as long as you can agree on which ones!

I disconnected from DK in 2010 because of all of the whining from many there about not getting the special bicycle they expected President Obama to gift them with. The lack of pragmatism and a failure to acknowledge what the president was dealing with from the obstructionist republicans was too much for me to deal with. These antics and their failure to live in the real world got on my last nerve, and it became too depressing for me to visit the site, so I split and haven’t returned. It deliberately encouraged the merger the earliest version of outright theocrats—the Christian Coalition and the Moral Majority—with the state’s rights and business wings of the party. Reagan basically got the band back together—racism on drums, authoritarian religion on bass, cronyism playing guitar.

The young jerks assembling at that “Institute” are the direct product of the Reagan era making it cool to be worried about how blacks want free stuff, and gays are going to AIDS your kids, and if you’re not into Jesus-by-way-of-a-shouty-sweaty-Southern-dude…you were probably both stupid and had been tricked by those evil college leftists elites.

For example, Kasich’s 35 delegates: if he drops out now does he maintain control of them at least through the first round of voting at the GOP convention?

Actually, in the case of the T-72 the US got head-faked by the ‘monkey-models’ sold abroad as did even Israel. The original T-72 and the T-72M weren’t that good, but in part because the Red Army got access to Israel’s M111 ‘Hetz’ APFS-DS ammo due to a trio of Israeli M48s being captured by Syria in 1982, T-72A was better and the T-72B was far better than those models sold abroad.

Moreover, even as late as the Gulf War information sold to civilians was still talking about the T-72’s auto loader being the same kind as the problematic autoloader of the BMP-1. Then after well-maintained examples of it were examined after capture from Iraq we learned that the T-72’s autoloader was nothing like that of the BMP-1 and in fact its auto loader works very well.

An interesting tidbit from the Wikipedia article about the Republican National Convention:

Since the almost universal adoption of the primary election for selecting delegates in the last quarter of the 20th century, however, the convention’s significance has diminished. The national party focuses on the convention as a unity point to bring together a party platform and state parties by having delegates vote on issues, which the nominee can then incorporate into their presidential campaign.

There’s not much to do other than give out bottled water until the assessment of the damage to Flint’s water system is complete. Once that is done a solution can be planned and once its planned it can be funded. But to just go in half-cocked like Moore wants is a Bad Idea will waste money and might well end up making some of the problems worse.

To the best of my knowledge, they are committed to vote for him in the first round unless he releases them. If he does, they are free to vote as they please (he can ask them to vote for a particular candidate, and I think they would generally do so).

True on the first part, false on the second. When Snyder appointed an emergency manager for Flint to allegedly save money, Eclectablog reported that the em told Snyder it was a very bad idea to switch the city’s water source to the Flint River. It later came out that Snyder knew the water was toxic, and that some of his officials in the environmental department, whom he appointed, and some other republicans told him about Flint’s water problem, but he chose to do nothing. He is lawyering up like a mofo at this time and charging the expenses to the citizens of Michigan.

Snyder’s emergency manager is the one who made that decision.

I decline to pretend there is a meaningful difference between Snyder and his stooges.

While it is probably true that Synder et al. did not plan a priori to poison the people of Flint, their non-responsiveness and continue obstruction (i.e., issuing orders to remain with the tainted water system in lieu of the obvious solution of switching back to the way it was before) once the disaster became clear is enough to prove that they didn’t give a crap, until forced to by bad publicity.

At the very least he’s committed fraud, gross negligence causing and exacerbating the mass poisoning of a civil population and depraved indifference to a human health catastrophe he was instrumental in creating.

It’s no secret what many right-wing pols and their supporters think about the residents of some American cities. One only has to note the constant references used about the number of gun deaths in Chicago that are used to derail calls for sensible gun control legislation to understand this. They pretend that only a majority black city has gun violence problems when the truth is that America has a gun violence problem not found in any other first tier nation.

Rachel Maddow did an entire segment Friday night on the effectiveness of Rick Snyder’s administration and governing philosophy. Flint stands out as a pretty egregious example of laissez-faire money-saving by dismantling civilization, but there are lots of others as well. Schools? Why should government pay for that? Let them all close. And most of us thought the post-apocalyptic dystopia was a result of a nuclear war or something. Republicans want to take us there without the war. Or with the war. His administration actively hid and covered up the truth for as long as possible. That resulted in more people unknowingly drinking poison when Snyder could have warned them. That’s a clear act of aggression, and his motive for allowing this ongoing harm to his constituents was to cover up and avoid the obvious personal, political and criminal consequences he faced if the news of Flint’s water quality got out.

The only reason you don’t see it as a war is because nobody you could possibly even consider caring about was harmed.

My impression, though was “Tanks: Not Even Once.” Are they cool to read about? Yes. Would I want to be locked in a cramped steel coffin surrounded by high explosives and dangerous chemicals, extremely vulnerable to anybody with an aircraft or a standoff weapon, which could spray me with molten shrapnel and/or cause the whole thing to “brew up”? No thank you.

I cringe every time I see a video from Syria where some dickhead screams “Allahu Akhbar!” when they hit a tank and jets of flame shoot 50 feet in the air. Tank business is just plain ugly. I’d rather take my chances with bullets.

So why exactly are all these white nationalists so obsessed with Ben Shapiro? Obviously they don’t like him because he’s Jewish, but is there something more to it than that?

Long story short:

1. Shapiro is a Breitbrat, like Milo.
2. Shapiro is anti-Trump, Milo and lots of “chan 4” white supremacists are pro-Trump.
3. Milo and Ben had public spats because of Trump (which they do “jokingly”, but Ben’s discomfort is visible).

So it would seem that those folks are more or less Milo’s chan4 audience.

I know, right?? There weren’t any real surprises - The Russians built stuff that was less refined and more purpose-built, with less sophisticated electronics. OK fine. But it was interesting to read that the autoloader did NOT eat people’s arms… On the other hand, simple things like having the upper turret gun mounted in a way the commander could use while staying protected, well that was skipped in favor of a three-point pedestal system. Or the odd little touches like a vibration-hammer turbine cleaner system that works at engine startup. Or how lethal their ammo was.

My impression, though was “Tanks: Not Even Once.” Are they cool to read about? Yes. Would I want to be locked in a cramped steel coffin surrounded by high explosives and dangerous chemicals, extremely vulnerable to anybody with an aircraft or a standoff weapon, which could spray me with molten shrapnel and/or cause the whole thing to “brew up”? No thank you.

I cringe every time I see a video from Syria where some dickhead screams “Allahu Akhbar!” when they hit a tank and jets of flame shoot 50 feet in the air. Tank business is just plain ugly. I’d rather take my chances with bullets.

Glad you found the link useful. And remember that the T-72s used by Syria are all the original version, the 2nd model T-72A, or the export models (T-72M and T-72M1). None are the better armored T-72B.

I want to say “Yes” but none of my pictures confirm it. The three plaques visible beyond the one you can read I think include something related to the 13th Amendment.

I was in Tanks (M-60A3) and then in Infantry (straight leg). While I can sympathize with Willie ‘n’ Joe that “A movin’ foxhole. attracts th’ eye.” I can also remember my boots and 70+ lb ruck. I’ll take the 45 ton steel coffin any day.

Is this another one of the Ginger Avenger’s properties? It seems to be just someone’s cowardly news aggregator (there seems to be a particular obsession with one of President Obama’s daughters—pretty high “ick!” factor, IMHO).
