Donald Puddin’ Trump — [Explicit Content] House Ways and Means has Trump’s tax returns. Finally. David’s crush on special prosecutor Jack Smith. Trump thinks Smith has a “soft name.” Kanye West expresses his admiration for Hitler on the Alex Jones Show. Nick Fuentes might be a closet case. Who Said It? Elon Musk’s destruction of Twitter continues. The EU might force Elon to do the right thing. Twitter no longer enforcing COVID disinformation policy. Ron DeSantis and Jim Jordan want Congress to investigate Apple. Musk’s Neuralink. Matt Gaetz’s pimp gets 11 years. Arizona Republicans screwing themselves. A half hour from my house, this is happening.

This is obscene. Some asshole pulled this off last winter in Aspen, sold a parking spot close to the ski area base for $300,000.

BREAKING: Kanye is a piece of shit who hangs out with piece of shit Nick Fuentes and piece of shit Donald Trump and piece of shit Elon Musk and piece of shit Alex Jones.

I’m so tired of reading about those assholes on every fucking site…even Mastodon is getting littered with outrage whores looking for attention by calling out their bigotry.

Not for their beliefs or speech. If thet actually do something more, sure, throw the book at them. But we shouldn’t have thought crimes or speech crimes (aside from the reasonable exceptions that already exist).

You’re right. Congress cannot give the government the power to censor speech. The potential for a “boomerang from hell” effect is too great.
There is something they can do, though, that would be highly effective in throttling hate speech and disinformation, and desirable in many other respects as well: Shut down the multi-level marketing industry and crack down on fraudulent product claims of all kinds. The MLM/health quack segment in particular is a driving force behind the conspiracy complex. The reason is obvious, science rejects their claims, so they must discredit science.
A closely related, and similarly enormous grift, the political pulpit pimps, must also be targeted. None of this requires any major change in existing laws and regulations. It requires the resources to go after the crooks. Outrageously obvious political activist preachers thumb their noses at the law because they know the IRS just does not have the resources to come after them. Any such change requires political change as well, since the Republican Party covers for all these liars and crooks in all kinds of ways. When (not if) the Democrats control both houses and the White House, this should be a priority use of that power.

Reposting from previous thread - because in my mind it cuts to the essence of why the people, especially in rural areas, are not getting the information they deserve:

re: #198 ckkatz

Journalism pay, especially at local papers, always sucked. But you could count on built-in overtime as a beat reporter, or generous year-end bonuses as a salaried member. That all began to go away with the rise of the internet in the 1990s. What totally killed local papers was the decision to go with “universal desks” - where the paper would be laid out at a central location - and the printing of papers at a single site 2 or 3 hours away.

We would still have control of what locally-generated articles would run on the front page. But the rest was up to a 22-year-old multiple states away. I remember fielding angry calls from our older readers (i.e. our base subscribers) about not having a write-up on the death of James Arness in the national feed.

The job was always a rush - be it the local team making the state finals, or covering a high-profile criminal case. Beyond that, we were giving readers news that was important to their lives: Tax rates, new water or sewer lines, large-employer expansions or closings. And all on a deadline. The structure today gives you “news” that occurred 2 or 3 days ago. Where once the front page was all local, now state or national wire stories dominate.

As a result, people turn to Fux “News” or internet conspiracy sites. No wonder my county now votes 75-25 for the GOP. Hell, we had 2 Democrats on the 5-member county commission as recently as 2010. There has been a rise in online “newspapers” that are funded by outside groups to push their ideology. And that will only continue. But there is something to be said for sticking it out through the 3-overtime game or the city council meeting that lasts 4 hours - all in order to break the news that the home team won or the city has agreed to rezone a property that just happens to be owned by the mayor’s real estate company.

So today was day 4 of my PDA (primary duty absence - an additional 5 days I get off compliments of the FDIC). Rained like hell this morning, so I took the boys for a short walk and then settled in to watch the World Cup…after a time I decided it was bloody movie time so I watched a really bad human hunting movie on Amazon, then took a short break to catch a little Nicole Wallace, then because I don’t give a fuck about Trump watched the remake of Firestarter from 2022…not bad. Decent child actress. Hope she does well. Then I realized I still had over two hours before the missus got home and watched Bullet Train - super fun, and while I love her dearly, I didn’t realize Sandra Bullock was in it until she was on camera at the end of the movie. Now I have to re-watch it to listen to her voice again.

But yeah, it’s worth the $5.99 early rental on Amazon. Lots of great characters and some weirdness. And that guy from Head of the Class is pretty good as a clumsy semi-lead.

re: #1 Colère Tueur de Lapin

Asking our chef, Jeff:

In case you can’t access the link here is the recipe for that BLEEPING INCREDIBLE WHIPPING CREAM CAKE!

The original Whipping Cream Cake recipe is as follows:

1 cup butter
3 cups sugar
6 eggs
3 cups flour
1 carton (1/2 pint) whipping cream
2 tsp vanilla

Leave butter to soften at room temperature. Add sugar and cream well. Add one egg at a time, beating after each egg. Add flour and whipping cream (do NOT whip) alternately and add vanilla. Start in a COLD oven at 325 degrees. Bake one hour and 15 mins. Test for doneness.

Note that the recipe calls to start by putting the cake in a cold oven. As Courtney Kassel explains via Food52, this is an important step in a cake like this one, which is meant to be dense. “Baking from cold and warming up only to a relatively low heat (325°F) ensures the cake can slowly cook all the way through, before the outside browns or burns,” she writes.

I realize I keep saying almost the same thing, but:

Consider that around Kanye West there are dozens of entirely sane people who thought they could keep manage him, keep at exactly the right level of dog whistle such that he wouldn’t offend by being explicit…but would still convey the message…and could be dragged out to do a press circuit. You’re understandably pissed off, but you can’t isolate the dude when talking about this: Tucker Carlson took the time to soften his outright bigotry with editing, then called him wise. Pool and Jones tried to hand him euphemisms, construct versions of “well, it’s only Not Real Jews and Bad Jews that are like that.”

Sit with this discomfort—right now Ye got where he is in a way that reflects pre-existing flaws in the man, but the path for him to get there is beset with people acting against his best interest in the midst of what is very clearly cognitive dysfunction. Whatever that man could be—which might not even be a good person—people interested only in their bottom line have helped make him the worst version of himself possible.

“We are all wired into a survival trip now. No more of the speed that fueled the 60’s. That was the fatal flaw in Tim Leary’s trip. He crashed around America selling “consciousness expansion” without ever giving a thought to the grim meat-hook realities that were lying in wait for all the people who took him seriously… All those pathetically eager acid freaks who thought they could buy Peace and Understanding for three bucks a hit. But their loss and failure is ours too. What Leary took down with him was the central illusion of a whole life-style that he helped create… a generation of permanent cripples, failed seekers, who never understood the essential old-mystic fallacy of the Acid Culture: the desperate assumption that somebody… or at least some force - is tending the light at the end of the tunnel. ” -Raul Duke

Reminds me of an anti-homophobe joke I heard years ago.

Two colonial types meet in a bar in Nairobi.
Colonial #1: “I say, have you heard anything of old Nigel? Haven’t seen him about lately.”
Colonial #2: “Why, yes. He’s gone native. Living up-country. In a tree. With a baboon.”
#1: “A baboon you say? Male or female?
#2: “Why, female of course. Nothing queer about old Nigel!”

His bi-polar disorder is not an excuse for identifying with mass exclusion, ethnic cleansing and mass murder. This has been a long-time affiliation. Kanye West has been and will be evil. Kanye is a believer in a long-term troll cult I used to deal with on a typical day walking through NYC Times Square. These nutball “Original Hebrew” trolls have been performing this hack schtick for decades based on long-time grievances relying on old fashioned misogyny and racial bigotry. They live to get reactions. Their motivation is not conversion, but cruelty.

Those that try and cover for Kanye are also evil. Those that edit interviews to soften his image are also complicit in evil. Those that make excuses are also finding themselves complicit.

Full stop.

That’s not necessarily 32 million people. The lions share of extremely high follow counts on Twitter are bots. Brits Can Finally Enjoy Frozen Baked Bean Pizza Again

Earlier this year, the Donatos pizza chain commissioned a survey to determine what pizza toppings American pie-eaters loved and loathed. Our collective faves were mostly unsurprising with pepperoni, sausage, and onions finishing in the top three — and we were less enthusiastic about pizzas topped with anchovies, pineapple, and jalapeños.

But America’s pizza palate hasn’t been challenged by the frozen pie that has just reappeared in English supermarkets. For the first time since 2003, the Heinz Baked Beanz Pizza is back in stock, and yes, that’s exactly what it sounds like: the frozen pie is topped with tomato sauce, mozzarella, cheddar, and a liberal helping of Heinz baked beans.

OK, so earlier this week, Evangelical Twitter’s far-right flank was being torn apart by the revelation that one Thomas Achord, the podcast partner of the author of “The Case For Christian Nationalism,” was a stone racist who had compiled a book of quotes to defend his particular form of racism, called “kinism”. Popehat talked about it, and today there’s some follow up observations.

In my opinion, many of the men who are sad about how Achord was a stone racist, but he had to be fired from his job as a Classical Christian school headmaster are in fact racists themselves. Without getting into Popehat’s math, I’d just say they likely think Achord said the quiet part out loud.

Now on to Southern Baptist Convention news:

And then we have this, which would just be “oh yeah, a bunch of SBC preachers are meeting to have a self-indulgent preacherfest”:

Except that the second guy in the top row, Johnny Hunt, well…

And what was Hunt, a former president of the Southern Baptist Convention, accused of? Why, when the Southern Baptist Convention’s sexual abuse report came out last May, Hunt stood credibly accused of the following:

A former Southern Baptist Convention leader stepped inside the Florida beachside condo of a pastor’s wife, 24 years younger, pulled down her shorts, pinned her to the couch, got on top of her and pulled up her shirt.

The assault on July 25, 2010, is one of the more graphic descriptions of sex abuse in a blockbuster report, conducted by third-party investigation firm Guidepost Solutions, and made public by the Southern Baptist Convention on Sunday (May 22).

But the details pale in comparison with the identity of the alleged perpetrator: Johnny Hunt, former president of the Southern Baptist Convention, longtime Georgia megachurch pastor and until last week, senior vice president of evangelism and leadership at the denomination’s North American Mission Board. Hunt has denied the allegations.

religionnews.com

So, six months after it was discovered that Hunt had sexually assaulted a pastor’s wife in *2010*, this collection of pastors say it’s OK for Hunt to preach again, just as the 2023 Great Commission Weekend conference added Hunt (and others) to its lineup of preachers.

November 12, 2022

November 29, 2022

As you can imagine, this led to the organizer of the conference saying that Hunt was no longer coming.

However, Timothy Pigg wrote the following in his letter when announcing Hunt was no longer coming:

In a stroke of naivete, I did not in wisdom allow enough time to pass before inviting Dr. Johnny Hunt. Therefore, I have asked Dr. Johnny Hunt to step aside from being with us at our 2023 Great Commission Weekend.

Obviously, many, many people pointed out that Hunt should never be allowed to step into a pulpit again.

He needs an involuntary commitment to a mental health hospital, and after 72 hours, a further commitment to at least 90 days. I’ve seen this too many times, he is bipolar and on a high right now, but the highs get higher and the lows get lower, and it usually ends in suicide.

In 2001, Raël (Claude Vorilhon, aged 55) married a 16-year-old ballet student. Raëlism discourages marriage, and this instance was done for expediency, because he had been questioned by customs officials when traveling with her across borders. They subsequently divorced but remained a couple.

Saw a video clip this evening of a white Republican Georgia voter who said he voted for Walker in both the general and the runoff — and the reason for his support? He was a small business owner and a Republican. He then said that he thought Warnock would win and that he was a good person. In one sense, it was hopeful because he was clearly a “sane” Republican who would accept with equanimity the re-election of Warnock. In another, it was frustrating to hear a non-MAGAt who was voting only out of party loyalty, even though theoretically it won’t determine control of the Senate, and not because he really supported Walker.

It was Gingrich and then McConnell who transformed national politics so that voters make decisions not based on evaluation of the individual candidates but only on party membership. A Warnock victory would be a sign that sanity may eventually prevail in our nation.

From last thread’s discussion on military field rations (“C Rations” and “Meals Ready to Eat”) -

re: #208 jeffreyw

Hmm, I think that I finally threw my old c rations and mre’s out around 2005. The c-rations were over 20 years old. And the mre’s were 10-20 years old.

When I was in the National Guard and I came back to work from 2 week annual training, I brought one of the mre’s and let the rest of my work team go through it. I ducked out as I had some other stuff to catch up on.

I walked past the cubicle where they had opened it. And saw it, all packets open, but the contents untouched. It was in that cubicle’s trash can. Which had been placed across the corridor as far away from the cubicle as possible.

While I didn’t say anything, I was a bit miffed.

re: #89 mmmirele

That will be the case for some, but…a horrible, exclusionary morality can be internally coherent: it’s a low standard.

Good faith operators within such a system think whatever level of cruelty and discrimination they’re comfortable with is necessary, whether that necessity is presented as utilitarian or as natural. So when a fellow-traveler adds one or two extra increments of cruelty and discrimination, it’s a immoral precisely because it shows how empty all arguments for “necessary cruelty” are and how easily they disguise prurient appetites.

Sometimes you’re going to have people that are racist, or authoritarian, who are very upset when a racist authoritarian turns out to thirst for something beyond the codified thresholds: It points to the possibility that what the group is doing isn’t objectively efficacious or right, but just a consensus.

I mean, look at European reactions to the Belgian Congo: people were genuinely horrified but then immediately shored up that The Wrong Kind of Colonialism had nothing to do with the large beneficent ideals of colonialism…so they went out and did more colonialism while telling themselves they were the good guys.

There’s a Russian joke that, depending on how one tells it and in which context, is either antisemitic or about antisemites. In the context of the current events the last part seems to describe the behavior of many.

The patrol took a colonel and some drunkard to the police station for beating up a Jewish man on the trolleybus. The officer on duty asks the colonel:
- Well, tell me why the man was beaten up.
The colonel says:
- You see, I am on a trolleybus, at one of the stops a Jewish man comes in and steps on my foot. He stands there for a minute or two. And I think to myself that if he doesn’t get off my foot in five minutes, I’m going to hit him. He didn’t, so I did.
- Everything is clear with you, - says the officer on duty and turns to the drunkard - but why did you get involved?
- Well, you know, - says the drunkard - I was riding in the trolleybus and suddenly I see:
the colonel looks at his watch, then at the Jew, then at his watch, then at the Jew, and then he starts hitting him! So I thought it had started all over the country.

re: #140 EPR-radar

I don’t think that’s necessarily so. It may well be necessary to have state censorship of sufficiently pernicious ideologies, as Germany currently does vs. Nazism.

I think there’s some terminological confusion going on here. Germany, for example does not censor Nazi speech. There is no “censorship office” checking things before they’re published. Germany censures Nazi speach. Do it in public and you can be tried, and if convicted in court, punished.

155

Well, I mean, it’s the same in Russia but we can still talk about censorship there.

156
Nyet  Dec 2, 2022 • 3:13:44am

I think in practice it’s usually used to denote a certain range of content rather than the process itself, which can precede the publication or follow it. And the range is basically a local social convention on what to exclude from the term “free speech”. Some exclude only the basics, like state or trade secrets, harmful porn, libel/slander and such. Others add racial/religious incitement etc., usually due to local history. Yet others go completely overboard with it, like the neo-fascist Russia. So it’s a spectrum, and where you draw the line is more or less subjective.

The religious right has convinced the majority of Christians that being a Republican is a core part of Christianity. It’s literally an article of faith in many churches these days. Well, it was always clear from the get-go that Herschel was being put up in GA for his name recognition mainly only, and that it was generally accepted that, if elected, he was going to be a reliable and unimaginative Republican partisan, voting the Party Line in each and every instance, I.e. a GOP puppet.

And what’s the first thing I see when I wake up this morning?

Alex Jones files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protections: court filing

Jones’ filing claims that he has up to $10 million in assets, while also claiming liabilities that total in the billions of dollars.

Jones’ filing comes in the wake of the massive defamation verdict leveled against him for his false claims that families of slain Sandy Hook Elementary School students were “crisis actors” who were lying about their dead children.

However, a report from the Washington Post published earlier this fall indicated that Jones may be moving money around in a manner designed to exaggerate his purported poverty and avoid paying out the money owed to the Sandy Hook families.

Yeah, now we’re going to hear how the economy is overheating and the best way to stop that is to cut wages. They’ll also complain about interest rate hikes, even though rate hikes are how the Fed tries slowing economies - though it does little when the source of the inflation is energy prices outside of any direct control.

IRS rules and the whole kerfuffle over political organization nonprofit status getting revoked was because of inadequate staffing to fully police who was getting nonprofit status, and applying the IRC to the entities across the board. IRS had a set of rules that helped automate the process - if your entity name had certain keywords, it was flagged.

That’s it. That’s what the kerfuffle was about. It flagged entities across political spectrum, not just right wingers - though GOP treasonweasels only asked about right leaning groups. With more staffing, these entities could get closer scrutiny upon application, and not after the fact.

Bankruptcy courts don’t take kindly to entities trying to cover up their assets and hide them from the parties they did harm to.

Argybargy is abstract uncountable and does not take the plural form.

Seriously though, I’d be hard pressed to find a non-regional British word that wouldn’t be understood by, and find use in, Australasia. Same would go for most US vernacular, though a lot of that comes down to the dominance of the popular entertainment space.

On the other hand, from the lands down under, we could begin with “bogan” and “hoon”.

Argybargies are what the English called the Argentinians during the Falklands squabble. I know because I was TDY to RAF Mildenhall during the entire thing.

I’m familiar with this. Around here every big and mid-size Church does a huge Christmas show every December and encourages their congregants to invite anyone and everyone.

The idea is that you bring non-Christians in for what is basically a mildly Jesus themed rock concert/stage show and they will a) Enjoy the spectacle and B) Consider returning to the church for a more traditional service.

Hence, they bring out the fog machines, laser lights, fancy outfits and intricate choreography. I imagine what is in the video are people practicing for “Little Drummer Boy”. Churches will often throw in a big break in the middle of that song featuring a bunch of guys on drums banging away. As you might expect, these shows ALWAYS have an Altar Call at the end of them (that would be the part where the Pastor gets on stage and asks non-Christians to accept Christ as Lord).

My former church did something like this (no guys on wires or anything though), but they also did (and still do) a TON of stuff around the community during the holidays as well. It’s not JUST the fancy stage show.

I can think of 3 reasons why PA Republicans are changing their minds about mail-in ballots!

1) Masterbateriano lost
2) The OZHOLE lost
3) They lost control of the State General Assembly

Pennsylvania Republicans change their tune on mail-in voting after getting pasted twice thrice in a row…

“There’s no question in my mind that Republicans have to have a different mail-in strategy,” said Andy Reilly, a Republican National Committeeman in Pennsylvania. “When one party votes for 30 days and one party votes for one, you’re definitely going to lose.”

You figured that out all by yourself now, didn’t you? 🤣

No, I don’t want that, but there was a report a few months back saying that Garland only recently started looking into investigating Trump.

So, no, I don’t have a lot of confidence that Garland was taking this seriously, and still think that he was hoping that the GQP would win the midterms so he could go “Whomp whomp, the electorate has spoken, whaddya gonna do ¯\_(ツ)_/¯?”

I don’t envy his position, and I hope I’m wrong, but I really think he’s in the “Prosecuting Presidents for even obvious open crimes would tear the country apart, so hard pass from me” camp.

When people who are younger than I am die, it makes me sad that they died so young.
When someone is exactly my age, I think of my own mortality.

The ‘Orange Is the New Black’ actor - who was best known for his portrayal of corrections officer Desi Piscatella in the prison drama series - passed away in his sleep at the age of 56 on Tuesday (29.11.22), his family have confirmed, but not details as to a cause of death have been given.

His manager, Matt DelPiano, told TMZ: “Brad was an incredibly kind man of joyous energy. A very talented actor, he loved being a part of this community…. and we loved him back. Our thoughts are with his wife and family.”

The former NFL player is survived by wife Sonja, stepson Aaden, stepdaughter Leasa, grandchild Amirah, mother Tammy, and sister Annette.

So fitting that Schuller’s Pulpit Pimp Palace defaulted on the mortgage, Schuller got booted out by the church council and the Catholic Church bought the Crystal Cathedral.

Last thing I heard about Pulpit Pimp Schuller was his griping that he got no pension and had to scrape by on his Social Security check.

Akiva and his partners believe that they’re the best litigators to represent the offended and safeguard their rights as former employees in a merger situation, and he wants other ex-employees to see this and go, “Holy fuck, that was awesome, I want those guys on my side.”

This is probably nonsense, since it comes from the Post, but I want to believe.

Russian President Vladimir Putin fell down the stairs and soiled himself this week amid mounting speculation that his health is declining, an anti-Kremlin Telegram channel with apparent links to his security team reported.

Putin, 70, suffered the unfortunate fall at his Moscow official residence on Wednesday evening, according to the Telegram channel “General SVR,” which purports to be run by a former Russian spy.

The ailing Russian leader allegedly fell down five steps before landing on his coccyx, or tailbone.

Although his security guards immediately rushed to his aid, the impact of the fall caused Putin to “involuntarily defecate” due to “cancer affecting his stomach and bowels,” according to the channel.

I’m not sure how much chaos I want but I live in a dream world where someone on the Republican side makes a solid deal with Democrats in order to get elected Speaker. Something like no Hastert rule, there will be a vote on anything that gets at least 10 R and 10 D supporters, some committees chaired by D’s, certain R’s not given committee chairs, etc. Like I said - a dream world.

Here’s my thinking: Alito’s Calvinball Court is broadly united behind the principle that religion trumps all in the Constitution. It’s why they’ve done things like uphold certain mask mandates, refuse certain challenges to Biden policies, etc. I don’t think that all of them are as committed to the idea of destroying the government of the United States as we know it as Sam Alito is. It might be a tough reach for him to get 5 votes for this case.

It is so infuriating that what’s good for Main Street is treated as bad for Wall Street; no wonder so many of the affluent oppose measures helping the poor and working class and middle class. At one time the elite derived wealth from manufacturing products that helped others; now, it’s all gaming stock prices and interest rates and not benefiting society as a whole.

FYI, John Boehner was seen at the capitol this week. I saw some people floating the idea that he could be a nominee for speaker.

Except Main St and Wall St have considerable overlap. A large percentage of the market is owned by pension funds, IRAs, 401ks.

Also inflation isn’t good for Main St or Wall St. so while those extra jobs are great for the people who got them, they aren’t necessarily great for Main St. at large.

re: #280 No Malarkey!

Once I was old enough to walk, our family German Shepherd was my constant companion.

For the first years of my life we lived in a small FL town. And being one of three very active children, I would escape from my playpen and go for a walk, with Sarge as my companion. I would get tired and sit down, and Sarge would sit beside me until a neighbor would notice and call my mother to come and get me and that damn dog.

When my daughter was born, living in the country at the time, I got her a German Shepherd puppy to raise as a companion. Everyone has their preference for dog breeds. I’ve been owned by mixed breeds, bird dogs, pit bull, more German Shepherds, and a goofy sweet bloodhound, and presently two more rescue dogs; but my sweet spot is German Shepherds.

Upstate New York Rep. Elise Stefanik says US Postal Service workers tore open her campaign mail and stole $20,000 in campaign checks — while also leaving donors exposed to potential identity theft or fraud.
“On four separate occasions between June 2022 and November 2022, packages sent by Elise for Congress containing campaign contributions were ripped open and the contents stolen while in the custody of USPS or its contractors.”

Toner said three of the thefts discovered in Memphis occurred in a single week and concluded that the “evidence indicates that Elise for Congress’s packages were plundered by a USPS employee or contractor while the packages were in transit.”

“These repeated security failures by USPS have not only resulted in the loss of nearly $20,000 in campaign contributions, but also—and more alarmingly—have exposed hundreds of Congresswoman Stefanik’s campaign supporters to potential identity theft or financial fraud,” Stefanik’s lawyer said.

A Missouri facility? They know who an upstate NY Rep, Elise Stefinak, is in Missouri? I’d be rather surprised that those who aren’t political would know who she was if she was in a lineup.

There’s a whole lotta leaps of logic in the claims, and I’m sure that we’ll find out that there wasn’t much to the claims that she was targeted.

Lawyer letters don’t have to be written in impeccable legalese. Whoever’s calling it ‘unprofessional’, ‘sarcastic’, or ‘not a real lawyer’ (I assume that’s the Elonoi?) need to wise the fuck up. Initial demand letters, or cease-and-desist letters, are the one place where lawyers have free rein to write freely, before they have to resort to the legalese in court filings.

Those of us that look at statistical norms consider the 90th percentile to be the standard — adding another deviation to top of that make the center of your normal curve too squishy. Elmo shows he just makes shit up; which we already knew.
