Cats are never demonic, and if they chase humans it is because they as Feline Overlords have found themselves short on needed staff.

Nothing says freedom then a bunch of so called liberty loving Republicans that would like to ban Arabic. They have so little faith in the foundation of the very same republic they purport to support.

A former Tarleton State University student who wrote the best-selling book, “American Sniper,” was one of two victims shot and killed at Rough Creek Lodge Saturday.
Chris Kyle and another man were found dead at Rough Creek’s shooting range between 3:30 and 4 p.m. Saturday, according to Sheriff Tommy Bryant.
Eddie Ray Routh was arrested just before 9 p.m. Friday in Lancaster.
Investigators would not release additional information about the case or comment on how Routh may have been connected to Kyle.
The name of the second victim has also not been released.
Kyle, 38, was a former Navy SEAL who served four tours of duty in Iraq, where he was given the nickname “The Devil of Ramadi” by insurgents.

This doesn’t look like a close range shooting, more like someone who knows how to shoot firing at range. Such people committing murder is a rare event, but when they do turn bad they’re very dangerous. And they are often harder to detect because, like Lee Harvey Oswald, they commit their crimes with rifles not seen as ‘crime guns’.

Probably. Kyle was high profile, which might be motivation enough, but Alex Jones claiming that he was an Israeli trained agent of the New World Order conspiracy is certainly unhelpful. His audience isn’t as small as it should be. This might be unrelated but it could be a factor. We’ll see.

The suspect is 25 years old Eddie Ray Routh. Kyle was there with someone with PTSD.
WFAA-TV (Channel 8) reported that Kyle was shot point-blank while helping another soldier who is recovering from post traumatic stress syndrome.
There seems to be some confusion as to the shooter having PTSD but there’s no word on the status of the suspect.

I can’t wrap my mind around the fact that I am actually older than Alex Jones. Only by a few weeks, but still. I first encountered him during the Branch Davidian standoff, and he looked and sounded then about like he does now. I assumed at that time that he was probably in his late 40s.

Minister Stresses High Offensive Capability of Iran’s Newly Unveiled Aircraft
TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran’s newly unveiled fighter jet possesses high combat capability and is a rival for the world’s most advanced military aircraft, Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi said on Saturday.

The more I look at it, the more convinced I am that if that thing does fly, it’s only as some sort of weird-ass trainer. No HUD, no radar, no real instrumentation that you wouldn’t find outside of a flight simulator. I don’t see any sign of a cannon port, doors for internal stores, or wing pylons, so I doubt you could arm it. And as big as it is, my guess is that it would have enough fuel for perhaps a couple hours flight time.
If they’d left off the cockpit and put on some cameras, they might have had an easier time selling it as an advanced stealth drone.

not only that it’s a fiberglass, but there are not enough variable control surfaces on the fore or aft , there are not enough pitots for computer assist or monitoring, there is nothing to allow the plane to slow down enough to even land safely.
Finally, it’s not even long enough for a proper sized rubber band to be wound up

We have plenty of people like General Abbas Doran, who can fly with homemade Fighters now. General Doran is known for flying the Phantom II beyond its limits, lower and faster than anybody in the Iranian Air Force. One of his greatest values to the IRIAF was being the mission planner, because, according to the IRIAF, 90[[]%] of his missions in Iraq were successful. Some of his mission plans for striking Israel are still kept secret to this day in case of a possible conflict between Iran and Israel.Click to Rate Rating0

In IsraHELL-Gaza war, we all saw that the “Best” of the western technology could NOT stand a chance and IsraHELL-ites “BEGGED” for mercy. Where the Palestinian had in their arsenal’s only some of the least sophisticated Iranian military tech. What the Iranian pilots may lack in Combat times, they have certainly & obviously have proven to make up for in intelligence; time & again!!! 1st: Iranian forces have downed their “Most Advanced Technological Wonders”; IRQ-170 Drone (first in enemy’s arsenal). 2nd: Iran’s defensive lines have invariably detected their smallest movements all across Iranian borders. 3rd: the Iranian interceptor missiles can track & stop enemy’s missiles & fighter jets “Cold” right in the sky! 4th: By evading their “Highly Advanced” radar systems in IsraHELL as Hezbollah proved the entire job is left for these Advanced Fighters would be to just “Sweep Up” what’s left of the enemy’s scrap piles.

The first F-22 prototypes flew in the 1990s. The first squadrons didn’t go active for another decade. The F-35 prototypes flew 6 years ago and production versions won’t officially go into service until 2017. Russia and China have both flown prototypes of their own 5th Gen fighters and aren’t even close to beginning production.
Iran has neither the experience or industrial capacity to match any of these countries, so assuming this is an actual aircraft, don’t expect the first production examples to reach operational status until sometime around 2020.

Dad and I would go shooting regularly when I was a kid. He would be firing a .30-‘06 and I had his old Marlin .22LR. We haven’t gone rifling for many a year, though, because the new farm is all flatland and there’s no good enough backstop for us to fire the higher-power rounds at. I have a distant relative who was lynched near what is now Tahoe during Gold Rush days, for beating another man to death. Probably guilty, too. Then his son, who’s my great-great-grand-uncle, I think— shot one of the guys who lynched him— and the guy who he shot was also an asshole who had screwed his partners out of logging rights to an area around there and they packed the jury and got him an acquittal.

I have a distant relative who was lynched near what is now Tahoe during Gold Rush days, for beating another man to death. Probably guilty, too. Last I looked, the FBI had the books still open on a suspected lynching in our city limits. The case was carried as a suicide by the local authorities, and it was at any rate too ‘private’ for a classical definition.

As far as the West is concerned, I always thought it was strange how in the case of Ishi, he went from being hunted to being something of a minor celebrity.
At least his story turned out better than Ota Benga, who got stuck in a cage with some Orangutans in New York City back in 1906. That kind of thing would have been unimaginable 20 years later.

Man beaten by Egypt police blames protestors
State television aired overnight a recording of Saber, lying on bed in a police hospital, giving his account of the incident, in which he blamed protesters for stripping and robbing him.
It was not clear how his account could be reconciled with the widely seen footage, which clearly showed police beating him with truncheons and dragging him naked across a road.

You’re missing the centerpiece of their whining. Overall, it’s an intolerance of the Arabic language, but their major complaint is that “God” was replaced by “Allah” in the pledge, which is equally, if not more stupid since that is the Arabic word for god. It’s like how they get all worked up about evil “madrasas”, when that’s just the word for school.
Many of them do not seem to know that Arabic doesn’t mean Muslim. My former Arabic teacher was a Christian woman from Syria, and in her native language, she would have used “Allah” to talk about Jesus business.

The whole problem with the death penalty for me was summed up when people applauded Rick Perry when the forum moderator announced that he had presided over a record number of executions and the audience applauded him.
Prosecutors see a death penalty conviction as another notch on their pistol, something that is going to help get them promoted. As long as that attitude prevails, they are going to push for the death penalty wherever they think they can get one, and if Texas juries are anything like the audience that applauded Rick perry (and I fear they are), thery are going to succeed.

Ha! Chris Wallace isn’t buying it either.
WASHINGTON — Wayne LaPierre, executive vice president of the National Rifle Association, accused the president on Sunday of wanting a universal gun registry, “trying to take away” guns and believing his children deserve security while others do not — all of which led to a testy exchange with “Fox News Sunday” host Chris Wallace.
At the end of an already tense interview, Wallace asked LaPierre to explain the NRA’s video accusing President Barack Obama of wanting armed security for his own children but opposing it for others. Wallace pointed out that the president’s children face a larger threat than most.
“Tell that to the people at Newtown,” LaPierre replied, referring to the town where an armed shooter killed 20 young children at an elementary school in December.
“Do you really think that the president’s children are the same kind of target as every schoolchild in America?” Wallace asked. “It’s ridiculous, and you know it, sir.”

LaPierre: Ban assault weapons and ‘you limit the ability to survive’
National Rifle Association (NRA) CEO Wayne LaPierre on Sunday argued that banning assault weapons limited the ‘ability to survive’ and that high-capacity magazines should not be outlawed because women need more bullets.
During an interview on Fox News Sunday, host Chris Wallace pointed out to LaPierre that Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia had written that the right to bear arms described by the Second Amendment “was not unlimited.”
The NRA chief countered that no new laws were necessary because “we already have all kinds of reasonable laws.”
All kinds of reasonable laws which the NRA’s lobbyists have made sure can’t be enforced.
Plus delusional and sexist, that is a great combo there.

Krugman: NRA thinks ‘we’re living in a Mad Max movie’
“We’ve gotten a glimpse into the mindset of the pro-gun people,” Krugman observed. “And we’ve seen certainly with [NRA CEO] Wayne LaPierre and some of these others, it’s bizarre, they have this vision that we’re living in a Mad Max movie and that nothing can be done about it, that America cannot manage unless everybody’s prepared to shoot intruders, that the idea that we have a police force that provides public safety is somehow totally impractical, despite the fact that that is in fact the way we live.”
“Now the craziness of the pro-gun lobby has been revealed,” he added. “And that has got to move the debate and got to move legislation, at least to some degree.”

What they wanted to learn from us about our nuclear weapons was how we managed to not use them on each other. They had a war they needed out of, and we might know how.

If there were aliens and it became public knowledge, we wouldn’t have enough beds in the pysch wards to handle the cognitive dissonance.
If there were aliens who were the sweetest, friendliest, altruists we would still be fucked. On contact the technologically disadvantaged natives crash and start the crawl to the reservation/ghetto/homeland. It’s just the way it works.

Speaking of science fiction; the aliens appear to have taken over Kevin Swanson:
Swanson: Wombs of Women on Birth Control ‘Embedded’ with ‘Dead Babies’
Generations Radio host Kevin Swanson, who last week delved memorably into feminist theory, tells us this week that “certain doctors and certain scientists” have researched the wombs of women on the pill and found “there are these little tiny fetuses, these little babies, that are embedded into the womb…Those wombs of women who have been on the birth control pill effectively have become graveyards for lots and lots of little babies.”

LaPierre: Ban assault weapons and ‘you limit the ability to survive’
Conversely, Rambo disagrees:
Sylvester Stallone: Who Needs An Assault Weapon?
“I know people get (upset) and go, ‘They’re going to take away the assault weapon.’ Who … needs an assault weapon? Like really, unless you’re carrying out an assault. … You can’t hunt with it. … Who’s going to attack your house, a (expletive) army?”

Found a ref to this new sci-fi short yesterday, released 4 days ago, about a mutiny on a starship (sort of):
How Digital Filmmakers Produced a Gorgeous Sci-Fi Movie on a Kickstarter Budget
By Tim Maly 01.30.13
Budget was about $40K.

The solution to that was figured out by Gene Roddenberry long ago.
