From the previous thread:

re: #276 ckkatz

For me, as a Virginia voter, the Northam fiasco has brought up a number of issues that I am currently wrestling with.

1. When is political redemption possible?
2. When is nullifying someone’s vote wrong?
3. What are the implications and consequences of nullifying someone’s vote?
4. Is ‘purity’ involved in this? And if so, at what point is seeking purity wrong?
5. Who gets to decide on who holds an office beyond his voters?
6. When is it better to lose an election rather than compromise on one’s values?
7. There are multiple threads of loyalty involved. Which loyalties are more important than others? How do you decide?

I’m going to answer some of the questions with one statement.

The Democratic party is representative of a whole lot of different people, one group of which is the African American community. They have had to deal with a lot, but have consistently supported Democrats. In return, I think it’s the right thing for Democrats to take their concerns in any decisions we make. And Democrats can’t win without African Americans.

In an ideal world, both parties and the media would be trying to figure out how to finally deal with our dark history. Instead, though, we have a racist party that none-the-less thinks it can be the arbiter of who is racist, and a media that needs a story about Democrats so that they can feel balanced. So Democrats are left with doing the right thing and getting punished for it. But, even though I also struggle with where do we stop, it’s far better for us to be trying than not.

I wonder if it might not be a good idea for the Democratic party to have it’s own truth-and-reconciliation. Kind of a “let’s get everything out on the table, but if you do it now, we will discuss it.” I had to do something like that when my oldest was younger. He’d dug himself a deep enough hole that attempting to get out was actually making it worse. So we did a reset-with-responsibilities, which gave him a chance to come clean, but the consequences came as a one-shot deal rather than a response to an escalating set of circumstances.

And when the media and GOP start doing their crap we can go “The adults are talking, run along.”

I agree with what you wrote. You make some important points.

Let preface my remarks that I suspect Northam is toast at this point.

I very much agree with your approach, that it is in the best interests of any candidate to excellent opposition research and bring out any skeletons well before the election. Whether through a formal process or as a part of pre-election “feasibility work”. The truth and reconciliation process is a good model.

Since new candidates are always being recruited and ‘offenses’ are not fixed in time or specifics, it would probably need to be on-going. I agree that this is the point of failure for Northam.

I agree with you that a good, honest and transparent methodology for dealing with these issues, provides the Democratic Party the best chance to tell the Republicans to stfu.

You wisely remained silent on this issue, but I admit that I am not sure that summary execution of a politician’s career is always the best, or only way to handle failures.

I do think that the voters need to somehow be involved. It was their votes that elected the politician. And those calling for the removal need to make a convincing case to the voters on why their vote is being discarded. Particularly if there is any interest in the voters continuing to support the organization who removed their choice.

Blergh. I frankly hate GCU. It claims to be Christian, but it’s Evangelical/Fundamentalist. I know people who can’t teach there because they happen to be United Church of Christ ministers, actually have Serious Doctorates and have this bad habit of telling the students stuff they’d never learn at a Fundie U. Plus they have some sort of legal dodge going where they’re non-profit being run by a for-profit. Not impressed whatsoever. But I did get amused at all the butthurt people crying about how they couldn’t hear Ben Shapiro.

Either satire or she has been well indoctrinated.

It is good to be grateful for the things people have done for us. And also to be grateful for the love and life that women have brought into the world. Our technology pales in comparison.

Been poking into the QuadrigaCX cryptocurrency exchange debacle, and found a subreddit about it. One redditor has posted what he believes are funds moving out of the exchange’s cold storage, even though the passcodes to those accounts are supposedly lost forever. Another says he was a former employee of QuadrigaCX and alleges that the now-deceased CEO was using the money users had sent the exchange to speculate on bitcoin, rather than keeping it in the bank. He says the CEO expected the bitcoin markets to become bullish once again, so he could profit off the speculation and still return the funds he “borrowed.” Trouble is, it’s been a bear market for the past year.

Another redditor questions whether the CEO really is dead, because it’s apparently easy to buy a fake death certificate in India, the CEO’s last known location.

I’m now leaning toward an exit scam, and not financial ineptitude.

If you’re curious, here’s the subreddit. reddit.com

US fake university: India anger after students arrested

India has made a diplomatic protest to the US after 129 Indian students were arrested for enrolling in a fake university.

The University of Farmington, advertised as based in Michigan state, was run by undercover agents from the Department of Homeland Security to expose “pay-to-stay” immigration fraud.

Prosecutors say those who enrolled knew that the facility would be illegal.

However, Indian officials say the students may have been duped.

On the one hand, I understand why they might want to do this.

On the other hand, we have a President and a Secretary of Education who were or are heavily into the Diploma Mill business…

Yes, sort of like triple locking the front door and leaving the garage open.

Frequency hopping is used quite a lot in military comms to prevent hostile jamming. It can also make a signal almost impossible to detect, as the signal can weaker than the natural background noise and still be received correctly.

3G cellular as well (but not 4G), and Bluetooth are based on frequency hopping. These can be jammed because everyone knows their hopping codes, but helps the radios deal with interference problems.

Oh, the technology is much better than it was 50 years ago. All cell phones use it, and you don’t have to raise your voice. In fact, I’m always having to tell people to speak more softly because their voice is distorted from the amplifier clipping.

As for being impossible to detect, you know the old saying: “Any sufficiently advanced communication is indistinguishable from noise.” People need to think about that when they talk about eavesdropping on alien signals. After having radio for barely a century, they couldn’t get anything out of our signals.

In the wake of President Donald Trump’s renewed attacks on the U.S. intelligence community this week, senior intelligence briefers are breaking two years of silence to warn that the President is endangering American security with what they say is a stubborn disregard for their assessments.

Citing multiple in-person episodes, these intelligence officials say Trump displays what one called “willful ignorance” when presented with analyses generated by America’s $81 billion-a-year intelligence services. The officials, who include analysts who prepare Trump’s briefs and the briefers themselves, describe futile attempts to keep his attention by using visual aids, confining some briefing points to two or three sentences, and repeating his name and title as frequently as possible.

What is most troubling, say these officials and others in government and on Capitol Hill who have been briefed on the episodes, are Trump’s angry reactions when he is given information that contradicts positions he has taken or beliefs he holds. Two intelligence officers even reported that they have been warned to avoid giving the President intelligence assessments that contradict stances he has taken in public……

After having radio for barely a century, they couldn’t get anything out of our signals.

This is true: by information theory, a signal with maximum information throughput is going to look like white noise. And, of course, any signal that is received by an unintended recipient is wasted energy. So, if aliens are in any way efficient, we won’t notice their communications. Of course, given the amount of power that these sorts of space-capable civilizations would need to operate at any reasonable level, they may have access to powerful energy sources and not give a shit about wasting it.

Now if these officials could get it through the thick skulls of the GOP that keeping Trump in office will be bad for everyone, we might see some attempts to mitigate the damage he’s done. At least McConnell has gently offered some resistance to the Trump mania recently, but the Senate needs to signal to the House that it will take impeachment proceedings seriously if the House votes to impeach.

Cool, especially the theme of opening the door, but a bit wrong. COL Jacqueline Cochran, one of the WASP/USAF demigods, flew a borrowed Sabre 3 in 1952. Not only the first woman in a tactical fighter, that year she broke three closed course records in it and took it supersonic. Major Chuck Yeager was her wingman on that flight. Glory where it’s due.

It’s a point that gets lost in the whole immigration debate: people want to come to America.

No one comes to America to be a freeloader or live off the charity of others. People come here because of what America represents, or what’s it supposed to represent. A new lease on life, a second chance, a land itself composed of immigrants. Being American isn’t a matter of ethnicity, like it is here in Europe; even if I gained Czech citizenship tomorrow, I’d never really be considered a Czech, because I’m not ethnically Czech.

But there is no such thing as an “American ethnicity”; we’re a hodgepodge of peoples from all over the world.

Sure, America’s not perfect - no country is. We have an ugly past, and the Founding Fathers were anything but saints. But they had a vision, granted, a vision somewhat limited by their time and place in history. But successive generations have gradually expanded that vision over the last couple of centuries and that is what can make America great if we continue to choose going down that path.

All those rhetorical moves:
“Only I can know”, followed by a blatant lie, a quantitative lie, an easily debunked lie, and then “maybe I don’t know” all feed in to the Fog of Unknowability tactic, when people eventually get overwhelmed/annoyed with trying to follow what’s really happening.

And Richie and the Big Bopper had survived. Richie was the first Hispanic pop star to cross over to the mainstream pop music world, for example. He could have inspired more Latinx influence earlier in American music than has happened.

re: #6 Belafon

From the previous thread:

Your answer is good and id add a few more questions to ckkatz’s

- were the voters actively defrauded or lied to..was the info suppressed or hiddden by the candidate?

I really think so many whites and I say this as a white male don’t understand that Civil Rights was so much more than just segregation in schools. And that’s why I think black people understandably get upset when whites go “Hey he apologized, let’s move on” in cases like this and others. My brother was explaining to our grandmother yesterday precisely why a certain racial slur is so hurtful to black people and why a variation of that slur is used among some black people. I love my grandmother dearly obviously but she didn’t understand and I get that, she’s a 91 year old white woman but perhaps that’s the thing we white people need to do more is acknowledge we don’t understand. I don’t know what it’s like to be black and yeah black people don’t know what it’s like toe be white either. The other you got me thinking of is one of my teachers, he wrote a memoir about his teaching experiences. The best thing he did for his students was to bring people from the faculty or community that had experienced events he taught about. One of them was one of the school’s security guards, a retired cop and vet who had served in Vietnam who is also African-American. I guess when you’re a kid, you never see some of the people in your life beyond what they are, he was just Mr. C to us but I find myself wondering about what he experienced not just in the military but beforehand. That so many African-Americans volunteered for this country after we treated them so awful is so telling. Ditto Native Americans or Asian Americans for that matter.

Maria Elena has been zealous about safeguarding Buddy’s legacy. In particular, she has not given the City of Lubbock many breaks on the use of his name and likeness. They can cash in, but they have to pay for the privilege. The back story here is that the Lubbock establishment had little use for Buddy during his lifetime, treating him as an embarrassment at best. Indeed, they started paying attention to him only in the 70s when it finally dawned on them that there was real money to be made.
The reason for that lies in the politics of the time. Ever since the Brown vs. Board decision in 1954, Lubbock conservatives (segregationists) had been gaining the upper hand in their decades-long struggle with local progressives. The far right of the Republican Party, energized by the Hunt brothers, was beginning to make inroads and the segregationist faction among local Democrats met the challenge by doubling down on Jim Crow. Like Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly was seen as a fellow traveler of “negro music,” and a menace to the social order.
With the help of the newly founded John Birch Society, the whackos did gain control and they have not relinquished it to this day.

Expanding on feeling like I was lied to. It’s what Northam said he was running against. If you recall, our gubernatorial election was just a few months after Charlottesville. I genuinely thought that then Lt. Governor Northam despite being what we call a good old boy type was someone that was beyond the South that he had grown up with. You gotta remember that the previous three Dem governors: Warner, Kaine, and McAuliffe didn’t grow up in Virginia and Kaine exempted are NoVa based though Kaine is Richmond based.

So, yeah I feel a little betrayed because I wanted a governor that reflected my values. That’s why I liked Tom Perriello. I admired the hell that he voted for ACA and stood by it even though it was unpopular at the time especially in his district which hasn’t gone back ot the Dems since then unfortunately . Ralph, I thought shared some of those values. Sure, he was and is a little more centrist minded than I am but I felt at our core the values we shared were identical.

I didn’t feel for a second that Ed Gillespie shared my values at all. In fact, Gillespie disgusted me in how he would talk about his Irish immigrant father with pride in one breath and then use MS-13 to scare the downstate voters who whether Gillespie knows or cares associate all Hispanics with MS-13 and as a brother in law of a Hispanic and uncle of one, I wasn’t liking that shit at all.

There were in hindsight some red flags about Northam I wish I had seen. Omitting Fairfax to appease that union for example. Was it done because of race? I don’t know for sure but I don’t know. The RNC is trying to make haywire out of that he refused to shake E.W. Jackson’s hand but I don’t believe that was racially based given that E.W. Jackson was saying shit like legalized abortion is worse than the Holocaust. And he made plenty of bigoted statements about Muslims.

In the end, I voted for Ralph Northam. I campaigned for him a little even too. Knowing what I know today, what would I do? Certainly wouldn’t vote for a race baiter like Gillespie or someone racially indifferent like the Libertarian Party, but the Governor proved himself just as racially insensitive as what I see many Republicans as being and that’s something I do not feel about his Democratic predecessors. We have a long ways to go in this state and country on race because the ruling class/race (yes white people and I’m not just talking politics here but popular media) doesn’t really ever want us to consider the other side of a story.

We know things like the n-word being hurtful. We know that the Klan is awful. We know that blackface isn’t acceptable. But do we know the full extent why? And that’s something unfortunately that I think a lot of people either don’t or don’t want to. We don’t know about the n-word being used repeatedly on generations of African-Americans to dehumanize them. We don’t know that the Klan was more than just assholes in robes but domestic terrorists who did everything in their power to make black people feel unsafe in their homes. We don’t know how blackface was used as cheap humor for whites who never interacted with black people to dehumanize black people to living cartoon characters. But above all, we don’t know how that felt and how that impacts society today.

Jazz and Blues did too. Remember that movie Swing Kids? The Nazis hated that music because they considered it n-word music but it wasn’t just them. If we really look at so much of our culture and things we think of as being as American as Apple Pie, they really are heavily influenced by marginalized groups. Our music perhaps being the most obvious example IMO.

Northam was clearly a jerk when he was in school. Racism appeared to be common in these Virginia schools and absolutely disgraceful. His behavior was deplorable but so far there is no evidence that it was criminal or that his cruelty extended to actual personal interaction with minorities or that he belonged to any racist organizations such as the KKK. After 35 years, is it really lying if someone does not stand up and confess every sin committed in the distant past? Yes, he was in his 20’s and not his teens, but it was a toxic environment at that time.

OTOH, he really blew his opportunity yesterday to explain what happened. Those here who speculated that this sounded like a Roger Stone attack may be accurate. The GOP deliberately withheld this information until it could inflict the most damage on Northam or distract from Trump-related crimes.

Read my 112 please. It sort of expands on why I feel the way I do. And I’ll add that Northam had the opportunity to stand with his African American Lt. Governor and condemn the attempts to put Robert E. Lee with our state’s great sons like Washington and others. He didn’t. That doesn’t mean I think he’s a terrible racist but there are things about him that have revealed a racial insensitivity to him that I did not feel existed before. I by contrast do not feel that way about our previous three Democratic governors especially Tim Kaine.

As for it being a toxic environment? I’m sorry but it was 1984 in Norfolk. It was 36 years after Truman desegregated teh military he was about to enter. One year after my parents married, both of whom had dated people of different races before their marriage and both of whom know that blackface and the KKK was unacceptable then as it is now. My own Dad who is older than Northam by nearly 8 years has related that his Father told him never ever to use a certain word for black people. I can’t give Northam a pass on this. I just can’t. And I hate to say it but I think some are being a little more forgiving because of his label.

One of the greatest hip hop albums of all time. Chuck D.’s baritone voice, the inflection, the delivery. You could really feel it.

I was eight when I first heard ‘Never Mind the Bollocks, Here’s the Sex Pistols’.

To say it was quite unlike anything I’d heard up to that time is quite the understatement. The first blast from “Holidays in the Sun”…..yeah, that sure as hell didn’t sound like “Stayin’ Alive”.

to go with my Superb Owl beef bourguignon I’m going to try my second shot at okra. First time was just with flour and a little herbed butter. The flour mixed with the slime so it made it a little chunky, and I added a little of the beef marinade to the mixture. Pretty tasty for not being perfect.

Today I’m going traditional with cornmeal and a little buttermilk or half/half bath first, and I might add onions.

And wine. There will be wine. Because Brady and Kraft are MAGAts and to hell with Empire!

Ahh, I never saw the Busey bio-epic. Never would have thought Busey for Holly. But I have heard good things about that film. I got some of his music about this time 9 years ago or so since I was taking a class on the history of American popular music and Buddy’s music was featured. I gotta say, I like it. I like Buddy and his fellow Texan Roy Orbison more than I do Elvis. I get Elvis’s influence not just in music but in being a megastar but I like Orbison and Holly’s music better. A shame that all left us pretty young especially Buddy.

Yeah, Busey played Holly before he had his motorcycle wreck and went loopy.

Thing is, Busey has always been primarily a character actor and has been for a long time (back to his first credited role in 1971, but he also had a couple of uncredited roles back to 1967), but the “good” roles in high-profile movies have been far and few between since his 1988 wreck (Lethal Weapon was the year before in 1987, and Predator 2, Point Break, and Under Siege were within just a few years of his accident). 3d and CAD are changing how jewelry is made and I think more important, who can now make it. 3d put jewelry design and making back into the hands of independent jewelers. Been giving a PowerPoint presentation on this for the trade.

But of course our trade is just a very visible example of de centralized design through manufacture. I used to think this would be limited to smaller items, then I saw a breakthrough of a smallish printer extruding concrete. For walls of a home or business. So few people involved as compared to sticks and sheet-rock. And utilities like wires and pipes were truly in the design, not an add on.

About those autonomous cars? IMHO waaay over rated until they run exclusive in dedicated routes or areas. The kind of AI we fear most is just the low end of the AI you want to keep people safe in a mixed or high speed environment. Zeroes out your travel privacy too. Hack-able.

Corporate threatens to withhold unemployment compensation, severance pay, and give bad references to prospective employers.

Also, most employees don’t have the wherewithal to manage an extended period without pay — especially today when many jobs are not being outsourced to a competing local firm, but rather to overseas competition. People train those who replace them because they know that they cannot quickly find a new computer position since most are now being exported overseas.

*of course, has to meet Constitutional requirements!

Garcetti decided not to run. I had heard mixed things about him from the California lizards. And I must say I’m glad a certain mayor of Chicago isn’t running. Not a fan of Rahm.

Looks like that Trumpet we were discussing yesterday, the one who tried to get into a library he’d previously been banned from- for filming children- In order to disrupt a drag queen storytime with a gun- has been suspended from his Twitter account @DocGreeneSnr.

And all the MAGAts who had hoped to help him out have a sadz.

Guy got off way too easily. I doubt a drag queen going in guns a blazing to a church would have gotten the kiddie treatment he got after a previous ban from a place.

Rep. Lieu is right, a meme based on an old drawing of Bugs Bunny in which he looks like a bowling pin is more popular than Howard Schultz is.

I wasn’t paying close attention, but did I hear Chuck Todd or someone on his show say in a poll Schultz was at 17%? Anyone hear that, and what poll that might have been? Was that conducted by the Downtrodden Billionaires of America Organization?

Of all the music I listened to over the years it was NIN, Downward Spiral.

Yep, you were the one that gave him a thumbsdown. So he probably wouldn’t be a good pick for HUD by that estimation. Does he have any positives he might offer though another department or agency? I know you don’t like him but look at this as a possibility to get rid of him too heh.

For me it was the first time my buddy Chuck put Frank Zappa’s Freak Out on his record player. I sat transfixed. Had to listen to the entire pair of albums. Then I scraped enough pennies together to buy it and hide in my bedroom. Played it endlessly when Mom and Dad were out of the house.

And Richie and the Big Bopper had survived. Richie was the first Hispanic pop star to cross over to the mainstream pop music world, for example. He could have inspired more Latinx influence earlier in American music than has happened.

Fun story about Ritchie Valens. I was working on a textbook/video project and one of the short stories was “La Bamba” written by Gary Soto. We got contact info for one or Ritchie Valens’ aunts and we asked her if she had any photos or other stuff she could take pics of and send us to use in the video. She sent a gigantic carton of original photos, letters, and all kinds of memorabilia. We shot it and sent it all back, but we were amazed at what a trusting soul she was to send us all that original stuff. I can’t find the video right now, but it was quite an experience.

From when we first saw the president have a cabinet and staff meeting and every cabinet and staff member has to start by blowing smoke up his ass to his recent interview with Maggie Haberman and Peter Baker where he was basically crying for more glowing coverage of him, it has been nothing but neediness.

And the con is now he has surrounded himself with “tailors” that tell everyone how great he looks in his new clothes.

Brings back memories of Los Angeles AM Radio in the early 80s when Roger Barkley quit while Al Lohman started playing an Eagles record. Barkley told reporters he detested their music and couldn’t take it anymore.

Barkley then went to another station that played elevator music. Eventually moved over to a talk radio gig.

I think he would be great (and of course, Connie as first lady—wow.) I understand the dilemma of losing a Dem senator in Ohio, but I think Sherrod would have wide appeal for being smart, well-spoken, understanding and from a midwest state.

My favorite Sherrod/Connie story that a friend of mine witnessed at a party. Somebody was talking to Connie, not knowing who she was, and said something about Sherrod’s scratchy voice. Connie’s response was (something like) it sounds pretty good coming from the next pillow.

Austin named one of 14 anti-vaccine ‘hotspots’

Austin is one of 14 so-called “hot spots” around the U.S. where there’s a delay or refusal to vaccinate, according to the Public Library of Science (PLOS), a medicine publisher and advocacy organization.

The reason why there is an increase in anti-vaxxers in the Austin area is because a Texas law allows “conscientious exemption.” This means that Texas parents don’t have to have a medical or religious reason to stop their kids from getting vaccinated.

According to the Texas Department of State Health Services, the number of parents requesting that vaccine exemption went up 19 percent in 2018.

The number of exempt students in area schools is still low, but private schools seem to have higher rates, including Austin Waldorf School. Roughly 49 percent of students on that campus haven’t been vaccinated.

The one that shows Portland (Oregon) should also indicate that the actual source of the outbreak in that area comes from across the Columbia River in Vancouver, WA. There is an absolute shit-ton of anti-vaxxers in Vancouver, WA; a lot of it seems to be coming from evangelical churches and private Christian schools that spread anti-vaxx conspiracy theories, shit like “vaccines are government mind control!” and other ridiculous twaddle.

Perot’s entire campaign focused on national debt; no racism or sexism or social issues. Unlike Trump, he was a self-made legitimate billionaire. Unlike Schultz, his money came from technology — the industry of the future. He was crazy but brilliant.

My brother worked for a tech company that was swallowed by EDS. He said the swallowing process was not done with any sort of plan, or concern for proper function. It was just done for economic reasons, and it destroyed his company for no other reason. After a few years, it was spat back out again, a shadow of itself, and was bought up by Siemens. He thought Perot was ruled by his own whims, and had no respect for him at all.

A comment on DT’s upcoming SOTU by “newsobserver1”

Here are my Trump Watching Tips, in the form of a letter to him:
(Useful to have on hand for SOTU Speech)

Mr. Trump:

1) I assume whatever you say is a lie until proven otherwise.
2) I assume whatever you call “fake news” to be true.
3) I assume you are doing whatever you accuse others of doing.
4) I assume anything you say or do is motivated by self-interest and may only coincidentally be in the interests of the country.
5) I assume when you are whining and playing the victim, you’re victimizing some or all of the American People.
6) I assume that everything you say and most of what you do is intentionally designed to manipulate.
7) I note that you always find someone else to blame.

Tips apply to those speaking on your behalf.

With Contempt,
A Concerned American

Reading through the Philip Bump piece Kyle Griffin tweeted, he refers to an interview with Trump where he is asked about the Federal Budget Deficit, and answers with Trade Deficit. Bump says this suggests Trump doesn’t know how the Federal Budget Deficit works - which is likely true enough - but to me it suggests something deeper: Trump sees countries as monolithic units. He rolls the government, the economy including all the businesses, and the people all into one. This is why he says things like “When Mexico sends people”, or that Mexico will pay for the wall with a reduced trade deficit.

Here, he says that reducing the TRADE deficit will decrease the BUDGET deficit, as it America has but a single pot of money, and trade imbalances take money out of EVERYTHING.

Also note he thinks we (the US) have fixed the North Korea problem because he and KJU exchange nice letters. NK is still building nukes, and still building missiles - which was the main problem - but because he and KJU can smile and gladhand, all is well.

Union president Gamaldi directly threatened “activists.”
Houston police chief says union president went ‘over the top’ with comments following shooting

After a shooting injured five Houston police officers earlier this week, Chief Art Acevedo called the union president’s fiery response to the attack “over the top” during a press conference on Thursday.

The shooting, which left four officers shot, another injured, and two suspects dead in a failed drug raid in southeast Houston on Monday, was among the most violent incidents for Houston police in recent history.

Houston police Chief Art Acevedo said Houston Police Union President Joe Gamaldi went “over the top” with his remarks about a shooting that left five officers injured earlier this week.

During a Monday night press conference, Union President Joe Gamaldi made an emotional call to end police shootings. Then he took aim at “the ones out there spreading the rhetoric that police officers are the enemy.”

“Well just know that we’ve all got your number now,” Gamaldi said. “We’re going to be keeping track of all of y’all, and we’re gonna make sure that we hold you accountable every time you stir the pot on our police officers.”

Gamaldi appeared on Fox & Friends just two days later and doubled down on those comment, calling out “activists who have severely made our officers the enemy.”

“They’ve put targets on our backs,” he told the national news outlet.

A White House source leaked President Trump’s private schedules since the midterm elections to Axios, showing that Trump has spent around 60% of the last three months in “Executive Time.”

Jonathan Swan: “Trump, an early riser, usually spends the first 5 hours of the day in Executive Time. Each day’s schedule places Trump in ‘Location: Oval Office’ from 8 to 11 a.m. But Trump, who often wakes before 6 a.m., is never in the Oval during those hours, according to six sources with direct knowledge.”

“Instead, he spends his mornings in the residence, watching TV, reading the papers, and responding to what he sees and reads by phoning aides, members of Congress, friends, administration officials and informal advisers.”
