White Supremacist GOP Candidate Paul Nehlen Suspended From Twitter; His Fans Spew Racist and Antisemitic Comments in Response
Republican Paul Nehlen (a big Donald Trump supporter, of course) has become quite infamous lately for his antisemitic and racist comments on Twitter. He’s gone so deep into this hateful rhetoric that even the far right propagandists at Breitbart “News” recently tried to distance themselves from him, after months of openly supporting him.
Nehlen is still supported by most of the right wing blogs, though, and by people like Holocaust denier Chuck C. Johnson and the Stupidest Man on the Internet, Jim Hoft.
But Nehlen finally went too far for Twitter — no small feat! — and yesterday his account was permanently suspended after he posted the following blatantly racist tweet with an image of “Cheddar Man” superimposed on British Prince Harry’s fiancee’s face.
Twitter doesn’t reveal why a person is permanently suspended, but most people think this was the reason because the outcry after this tweet was enormous, and many people reported it. Nehlen’s account had previously been verified by Twitter, so this was not a small step.
Nehlen is screaming bloody murder, of course, alleging that Twitter is “censoring” him and engaging in “election interference,” even though they have an absolute right to suspend hateful individuals like him when they violate the Terms of Service.

Meanwhile, Nehlen’s knuckle-dragging fan base is showing the world how unjust it was to suspend him, by changing their Twitter avatars to pictures of Nehlen (a sample of which is seen above) and tweeting reams of vile racist and antisemitic garbage.
Jared Holt at Right Wing Watch has a good rundown of the reaction in the white supremacist areas of the Internet: The Far-Right Internet Mourns Paul Nehlen’s Permanent Twitter Suspension.
