Reince Priebus Whines About Being Accused of Racism, MSNBC Instantly Backs Down
Reince Priebus and the Republican National Committee are freaking out and whining like babies about a tweet from MSNBC about the new Cheerios diversity ad set to air during the Super Bowl: MEMO - Until MSNBC’s Phil Griffin Apologizes.
Priebus has issued a ban on RNC staff members appearing on MSNBC until he gets a personal apology from the network’s president.
The text of @msnbc’s tweet that sent Reince into a frenzy of faux outrage:
Maybe the rightwing will hate it, but everyone else will go aww: the adorable new #Cheerios ad w/ biracial family.
.@MSNBC’s unacceptable, offensive tweet is one action in a pattern of noxious behavior. Join us in boycotting them. http://t.co/p263S0vagO

Now what could possibly give anyone the idea that the right wing has a problem with racism or biracial families?
Meanwhile, MSNBC has already backed down and apologized.
Earlier, this account tweeted an offensive line about the new Cheerios ad. We deeply regret it. It does not reflect the position of msnbc.

That’s something you will never see Fox News do.
It might be interesting to see what the right wing commenters at breitbart.com have to say about the new Cheerios ad: MSNBC Accuses ‘Rightwing’ of Hating Biracial Family in Super Bowl Cheerios Ad.
Notice that the post follows Reince Priebus’s cue and whines about being falsely accused of racism. Meanwhile, the commenters say:
a disgusting ad. They keep trying to ram this garbage down our throats.
[…]
Are whites really that upset about this commercial?
For decades we have been inundated with favorable portrayals of black men on TV and in the movies.[…]
this is exactly what gots Trayvon kilt.
[…]
Who hates black men/white women marriages more than anyone?
That’s right, black women. They are consumed with hatred for it.
But they are never called racists. Only whites are.[…]
Well, you can’t blame them… their women sorta look like men
[…]
for Easter they’ll unveil a BI/GAY family - a black daddy and a white daddy, one a pimp
[…]
Obamas’ daddy was a street thug otherwise he would be a better human being
[…]
It would be more realistic if the mom weighed 350 lbs but the part with the dad laying on the couch midday is spot on. I bet it’s a week day too.
It goes on and on and on in this vein.
And there it is — Reince gets his personal groveling apology.
MSNBC president: “I personally apologize to Mr. Priebus and to everyone offended.” http://t.co/LFaccQzjJY

@JM_Ashby Exactly what I was thinking. A very mild jab at the right, based on their previous behavior, and you’re fired.
